small end of the year wrap up 2023

Since I've started writing and sharing fanfic with you all, I'd posted 3 works per year, and in 2023 I made the goal to break that strange and random trend by at least 1 more fic. Maybe a bold move in a year that has been one of the craziest of my whole life, due to a LOT of traveling, but I am pleased as punch to report that I wrote and published 6 whole fanfictions in the last 12 months!!! 2 of which were over the 40k mark. 😁

I can't wait to see what next year will bring! Here's to all the wonderful art and fics all of us are making and reading together--we're all meeting up for coffee/tea, in every way except physical 💛

Minor Rant about the [POC specific] Good Bro Trope on AO3

I know the [Insert POC Character] is a good bro trope is actually awful and demeaning to actual POC (since it makes them out to be the constant support for the white mans story without them getting equal amounts of support), but the fact that it exists even in interracial mlm fics to give barely decent friends to lovers for half of my favourite mlm MCU ships SUCKS.

The MCU plays into the good bro trope all the time with the man of colour best friend + broken/sad white man, but I fuckin live for best friends pining and falling in love with each other so half my fav ships are those and it makes me MAD.

And personally, as sad simping bisexual white man who has a preference for dark eyes, dark hair and doesn’t mind a hearty dose of melanin in my partner, it’s inevitable that I find a lot of POC/characters attractive.

So let me enjoy my damn Ironhusbands, SamBucky and ScottLuis in piece while I project onto the equally sad simping bisexual white man and fall into my dreams man’s pretty fuckin eyes and wrap them up in my skINNY LIL ARMS WITHOUT FEELINGS LIKE IM MAKING THE MAN MY THERAPIST GOD

I really want to rewrite every single Harry Potter book but from like Ron's perspective. Idk why. But I think it'd be fun. But I hate JK Rowling as both a Jewish person and a trans person and as a person person and I hope she yeeets herself into oblivion and I don't want her to get more popular for it (I'm a semi well known fic writer thanks to a really popular star wars fic I published awhile ago) so if I publish it I'm going to probs do something ridiculous like tag it as x men then in the description make a disclaimer about what it really is so harry potter doesnt get searched up more or maybe if I make it I'll make a Kofi that you can donate to that'll send money to needy trans people's gofundmes. I just want to slap JK Rowling but also write this ridiculously long retelling of Harry Potter only from Ron's perspective yes I'm talking about all seven books.
