SCP-067 - The Artist’s Pen

I am reflecting now that, for a website that is ostensibly a horror website, a lot of the skips aren’t actually scary?

Like this one. It’s just a pen that takes you over and makes you write things, probably against your will. That’s a little scary, I suppose, but it also relinquishes control when it’s done, so it’s not like, super scary? I dunno. It certainly is weird, I’ll give it that.

SCP-068 - The Wire Figure

While I reject the idea that fiction needs to have a “point,” the fact that several skips don’t seem to have one is odd. Like, fine, it’s a weird little metal dude that makes more weird little metal dudes, then climbs into them like a Gundam, but like, to what end? It doesn’t necessarily need a purpose, I suppose, but the complete lack of one is baffling, especially because once it hits Gundam phase it just stops.

SCP-069 - The Second Chance

Oh I like this one.

So it takes on the appearance and memory of someone who died recently, and tries to get their life in order in case of another sudden death. It’s currently suicidal because it was told that the family of the real person it’s currently replicating knows the real one is dead. It’s great.

I like that this one, unlike 068, does seem to actually do something. And it’s sort of benevolent, if you squint. It’s a great idea all around.

I’ll admit to a bit of confusion on this one. Is the skip the dude, or is it the wings? Either way, I’m not really feeling this one.

SCP-071 - Degenerative Metamorphic Entity

I feel like the researcher note kills this one. On its own, the idea is creepy and weird (I especially like that the degenerative effect happens even if you “achieve auto-gratification through masturbation via use of media containing SCP-071”), and it makes sense why it’s a skip. The researcher note just takes it a step too far. It’s not enough that it’s a creepy sex monster/virus thing, no. We’ve gotta make sure we throw in some truly depraved D class personnel. Brings it down a few points, unfortunately.

SCP-072 - The Foot of the Bed

Oh hey it’s one of my deepest fears.

I like how this one is marked as “safe.” Presumably because, as long as no one sleeps in the bed and leaves their foot out, nothing will happen. And they’ve got the mattresses contained or destroyed, so it’s not going to happen accidentally. Still, hate it.

File TLC-AA-072 - "Ozar"

Classification : Zephir - Eidolon

Confinment: none

TLC-AA-072, also known by the foundation as "Ozar" is an humanoid begin, likely human or origin, whose skin is tougher and sand-colored, TLC-AA-072's skin is also covered in rocky spots which are incredibly resilient, and slowly reform after being broken and small floras seem to be rooted in their skin, similar in appearance to shrunked-down versions of oak and birch trees. TLC-AA-072 is also capable to speak tunisian, and while interogation about his origins have not been fruitful, TLC-AA-072 seems to be kind and trustworthy, as he says to value all lifeforms.

TLC-AA-072 body also produce a small but strong gravitational pull, very small or light objects placed 2.4 centimeters or closer will get pulled to TLC-AA-072's body, seemingly ignoring earth's gravitational pull, this also let small rivers made of almost pure sweat flow across TLC-AA-072's body, but when those rivers' flow get fast enough and they escape TLC-AA-O72's "orbit", the sweat seems to instantly evaporate.

TLC-AA-072 most peculiar aspect are milmiiter-tall creatures, labelled TLC-AA-072-A thriving on TLC-AA-072's body in a symbiotic relationship.

TLC-AA-072-A have a feline appearance, with varied fur colors and heigts between 0.5 and 1 milimiters, and are seemingly sentient, they are able to build complex structure and seem to have a civilisation level similar to a slightly advanced Renaissance era, after multiple observations, it as been noticed that TLC-AA-072-A instances are mostly aware of our presence, and have developed a complex language and politcial system, efforts are curently made to translate this language, which is mostly helped by the fact TLC-AA-072 has a slight understanding of it.

TLC-AA-072 status as been changed from AB to AA after it asked to become a part of the research team on his file, quickly accepted by the foundation. TLC-AA-072 wisdom and high IQ have been helpful and he has since been promoted to field researcher on Zephir and Mistral anomalies; his high resilience and resistence has been proven useful, and some TLC-AA-072-A instance have been seen to use cannons to fend off anything attacking TLC-AA-072 and have started to develop a technology similar to harpoons to improve their weaponry.

you see, I started posting them two years ago when I was 16. there was massive earthquakes in my town and we had to flee to a village out of town where I had no internet. so to kill time and manage stress i started reading an article a day and making these memes, never thinking anything of it. I stopped once we got back home and my daily life took over again 🧎

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: All known instances of SCP-072 are to be contained in a 3.5 by 4 meter holding cell. Access is allowed only during authorized testing procedures. Without prior approval from Senior Researcher Grant, no materials created for the purpose of being slept on are to be introduced into a 15-meter vicinity of the holding cell.

Description: Instances of SCP-072 were first discovered in an apartment building in ████████, Michigan, after two local media reports on SCP-072’s effects caused a local panic which drew the attention of embedded Foundation Agent ███████.

SCP-072 is a shadowy and translucent projection which resembles a .9-meter-long hand, the ‘fingers’ of which taper to a sharp point. Detailed recording of SCP-072 is difficult, as it does not manifest at light levels above 5 lux.

Instances of SCP-072 have only been observed to manifest when a human (hereafter referred to as “the subject”) enters REM sleep while located in a bed ‘infected’ by SCP-072 and leaves a foot or feet exposed to open air. If these conditions are satisfied, SCP-072 will emerge from the foot of the bed and appear to use its pointer finger to ‘tap’ on the subject’s foot until they awaken. Subjects have reported that, at this point, they were unable to move, showing symptoms similar to sleep paralysis. This continues as long as SCP-072 is visible.

SCP-072 will then use its pointed fingers to cut portions of flesh from the exposed parts of the subject's foot or feet. It will return to within the bed in between each removal, emerging without the collected material. This will continue until SCP-072 has taken all of the exposed foot or feet, stopping at the ankle. Though subjects exposed to SCP-072 report this process to be immensely painful, its paralytic effects render them unable to scream or call for help. It is unknown if manifestations of SCP-072 feed on the collected material or use it for some other purpose. As long as the wounds are properly treated, SCP-072’s effects are not fatal, but have been observed to cause psychological damage relating to sleep in the future.

There is also a secondary effect: Any bed within an approximately 10-meter vicinity of a bed which manifests the effects of SCP-072 will also host an instance of SCP-072. Destruction of a bed affected by SCP-072 reveals no anomalous materials and no trace of biological material removed from subjects.

Addendum List of known SCP-072 objects:

SCP-072-1, -2, and -3, recovered from original apartment complex, three twin-sized beds which were located within 10 meters of one another.

SCP-072-4, a king-sized four-poster bed contaminated during SCP-072’s time in Site-██ Temporary Anomalous Objects Holding.

SCP-072-5, a sleeping bag with bottom removed introduced to SCP-072-1 for testing. When D-2191 entered REM sleep in object, [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-072-5 not recommended for testing in future.

SCP-072-6 and -7, beds introduced to SCP-072-2 and later destroyed for examination. Remains of SCP-072-6 and -7 appear unaffected, but are to be contained until further studies may be completed.

Day 17: Shadows

Doctors do an experiment with SCP-072 which includes a test subject. Things go a little different than planned, and proper assistance is required.

This fanfic is a bit more dark than usual, I will warn. This fanfic talks of tickling while being physically unable to move. So if this thought scares you, perhaps skip to the 2nd part of the log. Look for [BEGIN LOG] roughly in the middle of the fanfic.

[Date of Experiment: December 17, 2019]

[Note: bpm = beats per minute] 

9:27pm: (The subject walks into the room connected to a heart monitor, and is required to sleep in the bed provided in the room. The sheets on the bed are breathable and cool, as to warrant a need to keep every part of the subject’s body under the covers. The subject is described as male and between the ages of 20-30 years. The subject climbs into bed and complains about the room being cold. The sheet is cool, but the comforter is warmer to keep the subject comfortable and satisfied. The patient closes his eyes and tries to fall asleep. Soft music is played on the intercom per the subject’s request, who claimed that music helps keep himself calm enough to fall asleep anywhere, even in this empty environment.)

9:32pm: (The SCP-072 shows up in the shadows of the white room. It creeps slowly to the subject and waits patiently for the subject to reach REM sleep. The subject’s heartbeat is now down to 40 bpm.) 

9:46pm: ( SCP-072 brings itself closer to the subject, and starts poking the subject’s covered shoulder. The heart monitor shows the heartbeat suddenly rising up to 80 bpm. The subject looks to have woken up according to the heart monitor, but is unable to move. Sleep paralysis has set in.)

(SCP-072 pokes up and down the center of the blanket, trying to cut into the blanket to presumably cut up any body part it can uncover. Strangely, SCP-072 does not consider using the face as an option.)

(The heart monitor shows the subject’s heart slowing down slightly to 70 bpm, but remains higher than the subject’s heart readings during REM sleep.) 

(072 begins feeling around the subject's body. The hand starts at the shoulders, drags itself down to the chest and ribs, down to the belly area, and down to the side of the right leg. The hand stops at the feet, before moving its fingers back up to the belly region.) 

(The heart monitor gets faster to 110bpm as the subject feels SCP-072 checking its surroundings. No movement appears to be visible due to the subject being in sleep paralysis.) 

9:50pm: (SCP-072 starts to ‘walk’ its index finger and middle finger up to the rib region. The heart monitor rises up to 130bpm in a matter of minutes.) 

9:51pm: (SCP-072 starts ‘walking’ itself down to the belly, before skittering its fingers on the subject’s visible, bulging belly. The subject’s heartbeat rises dramatically. We are unsure what is happening to the subject. SCP-072 wiggles its sharp fingers on top of the belly against the blanket for a few more minutes, before switching to poking the belly with its index finger.) 

(The subject’s heartbeat appears to be jumping from 140 bpm to 120 bpm, and back up to the 140 bpm mark. Dr. ███████ begins to wonder if the hand was trying to tease/scare the subject.) 

9:59pm: (The hand starts visibly scratching the subject’s belly. The subject’s heart goes up to 150 bpm, reaching the highest beats per minute the subject’s body would ever reach during this experiment.)

10:13pm: (Dr. ███████ walks into the tech room to observe the experiment so far. He immediately clues in that the hand is actually tickling the subject. With this in mind, we all take a moment to consider what to do with the subject and the experiment. The subject’s heartbeats go down to 130 bpm as SCP-072 stops tickling the subject for a few moments. SCP-072 seems to have a good understanding of when to give the subject breaks.)

10:20pm: (Dr. ███████ leaves the tech room.) 

10:25pm: (SCP-072 walks its index finger and middle finger up to the side of the belly, and starts to tickle the subject’s left side. The subject’s heartbeat rises to 140 mph again. The room is slightly too dark to see if the subject’s face is growing red.) 

10:32pm: (SCP-072 moves over to the other side of the subject’s belly and starts tickling the right side. The subject’s heart monitor records as his heartbeat goes down: 134bpm.) 

10:41pm: (SCP-072 stops tickling the subject. The hand lays on the subject’s belly for a while. The subject’s heartbeat has gone down to 100 bpm.) 

11:27pm: (The hand rises up and walks up to the subject’s right hip. The subject’s heartbeat rises a little bit to 116 bpm. SCP-072 starts using its thumb to dig into the hip. The subject’s heartbeat rises dramatically to 136 bpm.) 

11:34: (The hand is still digging the thumb into the subject’s hip. We are unsure if we should intervene or let SCP-072 continue till it's done tickling.) 

(SCP-072 moves to the next hip, and starts digging. The subject’s heartbeat is at 138 bpm.)

11:45: (SCP-072 stops tickling and walks away from the subject. The subject’s heartbeat slowly goes down as the light is turned on. Dr. ███████ walks in and orders the scientists to take him out. The subject is quickly removed from the room by scientists. The subject is taken to another room to recover.)

[December 18, 2019]

(At 12:36am, Dr. ███████ walks into the subject’s recovery room. The subject is out of sleep paralysis, and was previously confirmed to be mentally stable enough for questioning.) 

Dr. ███████: Hello, Mr. Vita. Pleasure to see you again.

Mr. Vita: Thank god I’m out of there!

Dr. ███████: What happened in there?

Mr. Vita: I…The hand started tickling me! And I couldn’t laugh! I couldn’t even smile! All I could do was try to breathe!

Dr. ███████: Oh…I see.

Mr. Vita: “...I see”? Is that all you have to say?

Dr. ███████: …

Mr. Vita: I was suffocating, going insane from being tickled on one of my worst tickle spots…and all you have to say is “I see…”?!

Dr. ███████: I apologize for not doing anything to stop them. I thought you looked okay. 

Mr. Vita: How I looked, and how I felt, are two completely different things, doctor. 

Dr. ███████: I will keep that in mind. Can you perhaps describe what else happened? 

Mr. Vita: Well…the hand thing kept poking me and feeling me…it was eerie…and I’m not sure how I felt about it. But the moment it started tickling me, I felt locked within myself. I wanted to laugh. I wanted to wiggle around. I wanted to do anything to get out! But I…I couldn’t even open my mouth! All I could do was breathe, and blink. That’s it.

Dr. ███████: That sounds scary. 

Mr. Vita: It was… 

Dr. ███████: I would like to apologize for what we  put you through. We had no idea he would tickle you while paralyzed…in fact, we had no idea if SCP-072 would do anything with all of your body covered.

Mr. Vita: (looks down in embarrassment) Well…

Dr. ███████: (Waits patiently for an answer)

Mr. Vita: Can…Can you…tickle me? 

Dr. ███████: ………Uh…

Mr. Vita: (Quickly gets out of the bed and starts running) I’msosorry Ishould-” 

Dr. ███████: (gently walks up to Mr. Vita.)

Mr. Vita: (realizes the door is locked, and turns around to look at Dr. ███████.)

Dr. ███████: (places a hand on Mr. Vita’s shoulder) I am not bothered. I am just…surprised. 

Mr. Vita: I…I…

Dr. ███████: I believed you would never want to be tickled again after this experience.

Mr. Vita: Well…I don’t want to be tickled in THAT scenario. But…I feel like I have so much laughter to get out of myself after that…and I feel like I have to make up for the struggle to move while being tickled…

Dr. ███████: (smiles) Very well. 

(Dr. ███████ takes Mr. Vita to the hospital bed and lets Mr. Vita climb back into the bed. 

Dr. ███████: Now…you must tell me: Where else are you ticklish, besides your tummy?

Mr. Vita: Uhhhh…My neck…my ribs…my armpits…my almost everything…

Dr. ███████: (Laughs) I see…I suppose, (cracks knuckles) I should start. 

Mr. Vita: O-Okay.

(Dr. ███████ starts tickling Mr. Vita’s belly first. Mr. Vita immediately starts kicking his feet and grabbing Dr. ███████’s hands.) 

Mr. Vita: HAHAHAhahahahaha! Ehehehehehehe! Ihihihihi-” 

Dr. ███████: I feel like we have missed out on a lot by having you paralyzed…

Mr. Vita: Yohohou thihihihihink?

Dr. ███████: I do. 

(Dr. ███████ tickles Mr. Vita’s belly for a little longer, before poking his belly button.)

Mr. Vita: BAHAHAHAhahahaha! NAHAHAT MYHYHY BEHELLY BUTTOHOHOHON!

Dr. ███████: (giggles) I suppose I’ve hit a sweet spot?

Mr. Vita: YOHOHOU DIHIHIHIHIHID.

Dr. ███████: (big smirk) Good. 

(Mr. Vita laughed and giggled under Dr. ███████’s grasp.)

Dr. ███████: So… (stops tickling) Do you feel better being tickled by me than by SCP-072?

Mr. Vita: (huffs and puffs) Well…Uh…Your tickles are definitely much easier to handle than the black hand’s tickles…

Dr. ███████: (Laughs) And I have double the hands and double the fingers!

Mr. Vita: (laughs as well) 

Dr. ███████: Well…I think you should take some time to recover. It’s been a long night for you. 

Mr. Vita: Okay. Thank you, Dr. ███████. 

Dr. ███████: You’re welcome, Mr. Vita. Good night. 

Mr. Vita: Good night. 

(Mr. Vita closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep again. But he appeared to struggle a little bit at first.) 

(Dr. ███████ was questioned about tickling Mr. Vita when he was still recovering from the experiment. Dr. ███████ explained Mr. Vita’s insistence on being tickled…and explained that it may help him on the road to recovery.)

(The next morning, Mr. Vita would later tell us that he was struggling to sleep due to his growing fears of the black hand paralyzing him, and tickling him again…But sure enough, Dr’s ███████’s 2 minute tickle session seemed to help him gain control of himself.) 

(Scientists would suggest that Dr. ███████ lead some ‘short tickle sessions’ with Mr. Vita every day until he grows more confident in his lack of restraints. Though the hips seem to trigger flashbacks, Mr. Vita seems to have little recall memory linked to any more tickle spots.)

[NOTE: January 5, 2020]

(Mr. Vita is reportedly sleeping much better. Though psychological damage is still recurrent, he is showing quick progress of healing. Mr. Vita’s next follow up appointment will take place in July ██, 20██.)
