out of curiosity, I gave a try to ZZZ, and wow there's so many stuff that annoyed me in this "short" session.

terrible screenflow & ergonomy. Buttons' size and position seem irrelevant to what the screen they'll bring you to will be. everything is spread out with barelly any hierarchie

Presentation is all over the place. Like prerendered scenes, in engine scenes, discussion with just the character models awkwardly facing the camera, and then some comics scenes. And the effort put into scenes doesn't always feel proportionate to the importance of said scene. Like there's a passage in the early mission where you have a cool prerendered cutscene of a fight against normal ennemies... but immediatly after, the characters escapping a deadly situation is just described to us, rather than shown.

Fight is flashy, but the bread of it isn't really deep. One input cause a load of actions, attack & movement but it made me feel like I wasn't the one in control. Incredible FX and animation work used to cover the lack of depth. And then, while I understand it's part of the gacha logic, the fact each characters (that I've seen) are essentially a "weapon" for you to swap, it annoy me.

Produktionsvorbereitung Schulungsvideos

Habe mein Equipment für die Produktion meiner Schulungsvideos zusammengestellt. War gar nicht so einfach alles zu bekommen, da seit einigen Wochen der Markt, was gutes Videopodcastequipment betrifft, total abgegrast ist. 😬

Ich nutze als Videoquelle für die Videoaufzeichnungen und Zoom/Skype/etc...-Sessions eine Canon M50, mit einem Sigma 16mm Objektiv (Macht durch Autofocus den Hintergrund so schon unscharf).

Die Kamera habe ich an meinen MacAir angeschlossen und die Aufzeichnungen & Bearbeitung erfolgt per Screenflow (Firma Telestream). Audio nehme ich mit dem Rode Podcaster Mikrofon ab und die Soundnachbearbeitung erfolgt in Steinbergs Cubase Elements.

Am kommenden Dienstag richte ich alles, inklusive Dreipunktbeleuchtung, ein und werde darüber (inkl. Vergleichsfotos) berichten.

Eine Woche später: Erste Konfigurationen erledigt. Anbei zwei Fotos, einmal mit der eingebauten Laptop-Cam und danach mit Licht & neuem Equipment, alles über Zoom.

Natürlich werde ich mich für die Videos entsprechend vorbereiten, d.h. Rasierten, Frisieren, Hemd, etc... :) Ist jetzt erst mal nur ein Vergleichstest im “Casualstil”.

Die technische Qualität der Videos wird natürlich besser durch die Aufzeichnung und Verarbeitung mit ScreenFlow. Bei Zoom bekommt man nicht die Qualität hin, aber für Meetings mit Kunden und Online-Trainings reicht es alle mal.

I filmed this using screenflow as the exported process video was unreadable by iMovie, and the added joy of being able to zoom in and pan manually during playback has given me all sorts of silly ideas for future projects...

There is a virtualization technology that allows for VMs to talk directly with GPU, but requires more than one GPU and isn't supported in PDM anyway. The reason why VBox crashed does not have to be related to hardware abstraction, or the hardware not being supported by the OS. And in case you are wondering, yes, SL can talk directly with CPU made years after it has been released because the architecture is the same (x86 or 圆4). The only piece of hardware that the VM is allowed to talk directly to is the CPU through a technology that specifically supports virtualization. Don't forget that the mouse, keyboard, screen, GPU, etc, are working for the Host system primarily, the Guest could never step over the Host, only the Host OS can have direct access to hardware. The virtualized OS (Guest) doesn't talk directly with the GPU, nor the screen, or other pieces of hardware, there is a level of abstraction in between. This results in infusing people with wrong ideas and false issues, like the one presented, because after all, he is the 'IT guy'. He has absolutely no idea how a virtualization application like Parallels (or Virtual Box) works, does not have the curiosity to investigate and learn, and made and assertion about a purely technological issue without having any experience or knowledge on the subject, based solely on wrong assumptions. These tracks are the content of your video: it will run as long as there is a track to display.
