Subaru Baja, 2003. A pick-up based on the second generation Subaru Outback that traded a long roof for an open rear deck. They were only made in Indiana for the North American market though there was also an attempt to market them in Germany. Sales never lived up to expectations in the US and were tiny in Europe (153 units sold) and Baja production ended in 2006 though Subaru had enough inventory to continue sales until 2008.

Hey i was wondering what does first/second generation mean,i saw you used it to describe yourself and the ghost guy

First generation is a way to describe a child born in the US, who is born to immigrant parents.

So for Andrew, his father and mother were born in Russia and Ukraine respectively. However Andrew was born in Chicago, making him part of the first generation in his family to live in the US.

(no I didn’t plan that around the war, I did it because I used to be friends with people who were adopted from Russia and Ukraine)

Second generation is what you call someone who is the child of first generation immigrants. Both my parents were born in the US and so was I, but both sets of my grandparents were born and raised in Mexico.

It’s strange for me because my mom had a mostly American childhood (my grandfather forced her and her siblings to be as American as possible) and my dad had a… semi Mexican childhood? (My grandma was a control freak and just kind weird).

So with that and my brother’s speech delay (forcing us to only speak one language in the house)… I didn’t grow up being part of a Mexican community compared to others around me. I still have Mexican American experiences but only recently have I been able to start to learn how to be part of a community outside of my family

Judging second Gen kids names cause why not

Bill and Fleur: Victoire, Dominique, and Louis. I actually do enjoy their names! They’re different and give a nod to Fleur and the fact she is French. I mean I hope she gets a bigger say she literally gave birth to all of them.

Charlie: I know he has cool names for his dragon babies. 10/10 no notes

Percy and Audrey: Molly and Lucy. I love Lucy, it’s super cute. Ok I get why he names her Molly, like it’s a nod to his mom, I mean people name their kids after relatives all the time. But like damn the pressure I guess.

George and Angelina: Roxanne and Fred. Okay kinda fuck with Roxanne. Pretty cool. Once again, I get it for Fred. But personally I wouldn’t want to be named after my dad’s dead twin but to each their own. Maybe Fred II is super cool with it once he finds out.

Ron and Hermione: Rose and Hugo are cute. Lowkey feel like it’s a nod to the parents name. Lile Rose and Ron, but start with an R. Hugo and Hermione, both with an H. It’s funny. Love it.

Ginny and Harry: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. OKAY I GET IT. I KNOW. But damn they’re getting bullied okay I’m sorry. I know he wanted to honor the people who died for the war. But like a middle name is fine? Why their entire name please.

Draco and Astoria cause why not: Scorpius Hyperion. Fits on theme with their family. The whole constellation theme they have going on. Migjt get bullied but not for their name but because they’re a Malfoy rip.

Not gonna lie I only made this post to make fun of Harry and Ginny naming skills. They need their naming skills revoked for a bit.

It has just come to my mind a new idea for a fic. Imagine wolfstar never declaring their love for each other before they finish Hogwarts and then, boom, the war. Sirius thinking Remus is the traitor, they argue and he has a one-night stand with a girl who gets pregnant. Because (of course) he finishes in Azkaban, the baby is raised by no other than Regulus (he survived the cave), and meets Harry and his crew at Hogwarts years later.

Shoutout to ‘Elemental’ for taking the “it’s not my dream, it’s your dream” story beat/ line and recognizing that if it has any place in media it’s in a second gen immigrant story and not from a goddamn white boy most likely in reference to playing sports.

Why Sulli is one of my biggest inspirations

Hello i'd like to share some of the reasons why Sulli (aka Jinri) is one of my favorite people in the korean entertainment industry and why she is such an inspiring woman. I also provided links to several articles so you can read more in depth about certain amazing things she's done.

!Note that south korea is a highly conservative and misogynistic country. Especially in the idol industry, women are judged for every single little thing they do. Sulli however decided to lean against the standards set for female idols and always did as she pleased and what she thought was right. It's sad that only now after she passed netizens are being nice and supportive towards her. I'd like to share some of the reasons why she was such an inspirational woman and why she should never be forgotten!

1.Going Braless . Sulli didn't like wearing bras

and would often post pictures of herself while not wearing one. Of course this shouldn't be considered an issue at all but even western countries often still take offense to it fsm so obviously highly conservative korea was very unhappy about her decision and would send her lots of hate and call her vulgar names for it. She never stopped doing it though.

2. Abortion Rights

Sulli is pro choice! She celebrated South Korea changing their anti abortion laws which ofc was yet another reason for people to hate her.

3. Raised awareness on her public instagram about comofort women and showed her sympathy despite knowing she'll make her japanese fans upset by shedding light on it .

Japanese people often don't like to acknowlage their war crimes and felt very offended by Sulli for talking about it on her social media. Being the woman supporting feminist she is, she thought it was an important topic to discuss and posted about it regardless.

4. Openly shared her relationship

Dating is often completly banned for kpop idols altogether and only few dare to make their relationship public. Only in recent years have idols slowly starting sharing their relationship status. But back then idols tried their absolute hardest to hide that they're dating in fear of facing MASSIVE backlash, sometimes even receiving death threats. Yet Sulli openly posted photos of her and her now ex boyfriend on her instagram like any other normal person would.

5. Openly expressed her sexuality

making her own choices on when or how she decides to be sexy, taking all power from netizens sexualizing her against her will. This is a big issue in the idol industry, especially due to conservative views, a woman openly showing herself to be a self empowered sexual individual is looked down upon and seen as offensive. Netizens often called her mentally unstable, dirty, nasty and a wh*re for simply not wearing a bra or showing cleavage (which is quite scandalous in korea) or taking sexy photos as an adult woman! She talked about this and the double standards in depth in Persona:Sulli!

6. Defended herself

It's very rare for idols to stand up for themselves especially in such a blunt, forward way. Usually when idols have to apologize for the most mundane stuff, an official apology is issued through the agency but Sulli always took matters into her own hands.

7. Endured a massive amount of hate and ultimately left f(x) for the sake of protecting herself from hate and persuing her true artistic visions

She was constantly harrassed from her "attitude" to her looks, her views, her behavior and her talents.

8. Publicly discussed mental health, inlcuding her own struggles,

and based her solo debut around DiD. Mental Health was and still is very stigmatised in South Korea. While it's slowly changing, talking about such things back then was seen as highly controversial and people wouldn't be very understanding at all. Moreover netizens would think of idols to be ungrateful if they'd ever talked about their struggles.

9. Just overall always supported women and their rights. (girls supporting girls shirt, talked about being a feminist and wanting women to be equal on tv and defending fellow female idols).

Again, with Korea being a very conservative and sexist country, people sent her a massive amount of hate (mostly men) for speaking up about womens rights. This still happens to other female idols today when they declare themselves to be feminists.

10. Was unapoligeticly herself no matter what.

Always showing her personality and interests and voicing her opinions. She loved showing everyone how fun loving and free spirited she is . All she ever wanted was to be loved by others but she still didn't want to change her identity for others to do so.

11. Loved herself and her beauty

and would also voice it yet she was never arrogant or felt like she was better than anyone because she's pretty (Persona:Sulli)

12. She critizised the idol industry and the publics treatment towards idols (see Persona:Sulli)

13. Sent a low income student a feminine hygiene package for free

and planned to regulary send out packages to girls who couldn't afford to buy these products themselves. Unfortunatly she passed away before she had the chance to do so.

Theres so much more to Sulli. But these are some of the main points as to why I love her so much.

She endured the tremendous amount of hate for such a long time and despite feeling hurt she always remained true to herself. She struggled a lot but always continued doing what she thought was right and didn't apologize for simply living her life and being a feminist.

It's done! It's the first of the twins, Ronnie Broflovski! I've yapped about him the most, but that's just because he's so much fun. His design makes me giddy, and his personality is just so easy to love! I'm gonna yap some more about him!

🎸 He's the youngest out of the twins! Rowan holds that over him the entire span of their lifetime.

🎸 He looks every bit like his father. The only thing he got from Jean really was her personality. Although, he's got Kyle's temper.

☆ That being said, he's a huge cry baby. He'll get angry and start tearing up, which makes him only more upset. Which makes him grind his teeth together. A cycle that keeps on feeding.

☆ Quickest way to piss him off is talking over him or calling him Ronald.

"My name isn't Ronald! It's fucking Ronnie! And only my brother can call me Ron. Fuck you!"

☆ He did inherit his mother's usually sharp canines, so he ends up making his lips bleed a lot from chewing on them.

☆ He gets set off when the things he loves are in jeopardy. He's extremely protective of himself and his brother, but he doesn't really think before throwing himself into danger.

🎸 This leads to him getting into a lot of scraps and fights. They don't always end in his favor, but he doesn't care. Very self destructive in his early years.

🎸 He is a huge dork though, and most times would rather crack jokes and be goofy. Very much plays up the boy failure attitude! Weaponized incompetence.

🎸 Class clown. He got the clown hair. It fits. Ronnie gets into trouble all the time because he can not sit still, and he does not take things seriously.

🎸 Hobbies include:

🏀 - Just like his parents, Ronnie loves basketball! Has posters of his favorite players on his side of the room! Practices any chance he can get. Very good at shooting and jumping, but he's a bit self-absorbed on the court. (This goes away eventually, but he's still a little shithead.)

🎸 - Oh baby, the guitar icons are there for a reason! Ronnie loves guitar! His star shaped cheri red guitar is his prized possession, and he adores it. Is that douchbag in high-school that pulls it out in class.

🧰 - He loves cars. He loves taking things apart and putting them back together again! So when he gets to work on a car, he is in heaven. He doesn't have a favorite brand or style. He just really likes them all. The only reason he doesn't do it more, is because he hates getting shit in his hair.

⛺️ - Both Rowan and Ronnie love to camp! A lot of their childhood is spent going camping with their parents! Sometimes, they'd go out back and just sleep in their tent instead of being in bed like they're supposed to be!

🎸 - Every bit of his fashion sense comes from that era of 80s rock and roll. He adopts that from his mother and carries it forward.

🎸 - Ronnie is a bit self-conscious about his appearance. Both him and his brother got their dad's nose, but that's not what bothers him. It's the freckles and his forehead. He puts on the bandana for that reason!

🎸 - He loves accessories. Loves the different metal rings on his fingers. He's got one for each family member. The cross on his earrings were apart of a set that he split with his brother! If he likes you, he'll wear something that reminds him of you.

🎸 - Ronnie has a very rocky relationship with his dad. He loves his dad. He really does, it's just neither one of them really know when to back down. He definitely inherited that stubborn behavior. It's not that he has to be right all the time. He just hates being scolded. Kyle's need to constantly turn things into a lesson leads to Ronnie rebelling more.

☆ - The more controlling you are the less likely Ronnie is to like you. He's a free spirit and values that above most things.

☆ - Once again, it's not that he's opposed to learning and admiting he's wrong, but he's a hot head. It takes him a second to calm down and I just don't see that happening when he's in trouble with his father.

☆ - Things will NEVER get physical between them though. Ronnie has never once had thoughts about swinging on his father. He may playfully fight with Rowan and his mother, but that's as far as it goes.

☆ - He does admire his dad very much, and I think most of that pushback comes from the fact that he wants to make his dad proud, but by doing it his way.

🎸 - On the other hand, he gets along with his mother so much! Jean and her son are super close, and he's a mama's boy down to his core.

☆ - It's cute and wholesome until it's time for Jean to switch into parent mode. She struggles to do that with Ronnie.

☆ - Ronnie can get away with a lot by just going to his mom and asking for it. He gets out of trouble by pulling the puppy dog eyes A LOT.

☆ - It goes like this for a while until Rowan points out it out to him. That's growth baby.

☆ - But she is the reason for his passion of music and that sense of community. Why he loves so very hard. The kid was named after Ronnie James Dio for fucks sake

🎸 - When he gets older, he gets a reputation for being a bit of a player because of the way he acts.

☆ - This couldn't be further from the truth. He is in fact, like his mother, a simp.

☆ - When he crushes, he crushes very hard. It's noticeable, and he's not shy about it. The big flirt reputation became a thing for a reason

🎸 - Ronnie is pansexual and proud of it! He loves people, and gender is the least of his worries! What matters is the person and if they're willing to put up with the dumb ass

🎸 - His voice claim is Danny from Ninja Sex Party! He also has a huge hand in his hair too!

🎸 - A big fucking dork! He's an idiot! Skates by on Ds and Cs for most of his educational career. If it wasn't for his dad, Rowan, and maybe a few others, he most definitely would have dropped out.

🎸 - Ronnie wants to make it big as a rockstar. He wants so very badly to get the fuck out of South Park and make his name known. He spends most of his life trying to convince his brother to do the same and to come with him.

☆ - Home is where Rowan is. They're twins , they were born together and Ronnie never wants to be far from him.

☆ - A lot of Ronnie's personal story is about independence and making what you are, yours.

☆ - Learning to love being with yourself and self-reliance. Out of the two of them, Ronnie relies on Rowan way more than Rowan relies on him.

☆ - Or so he thinks...
