Disrupt: artists Judy Chicago: first artists I found when I looked for artists linked to my project. She's a feminist artist, and this is one of her most known artworks : the Dinner Party. She represented some other feminist in her work, like Georgia O'Keeffe or Susan B. Anthony.
Kiki Smith: for Kiki, everybody has it's own unique experience with their body, and it's reflected in her work.
Georgia O'Keeffe: I mentioned her already, but I really love her work. She paints, and her work often has a representation of life and death (flowers, skeletons...) and vulvas painted in such a way that it can be mistaken for flowers.
Katerina Marchenko: it's a Russian embroidery artist I discovered last week, and I really love what she does. She often embroiders on tulle, so it looks like the thread just floats, and I think that sometimes it really can be mistaken with a painting (with a weird texture but still)

Shout out to me for writing a whole chapter BY HAND!
Started the draft of my second project and so far written 2 chapters by hand. We will see if I will be able to finish a third.

wait do people read first person stories and think they're the ones in the story???
Saw people talking about not liking first person, which is fair, but their reasoning was like "I would not do that" and I don't understand that mindset.
First person stories are still about a character. A character making their own decisions. First person isn't about you???? At least I thought it wasn't. What am I missing? I've always seen first person as just a more in-depth look into a character's mind and stricter POV. Not as a reader stand-in.

#gravity falls#Pacifica Northwest#Stanley Pines#Stanford Pines#Stowaway AU#my art#doodles#sorry I’ve been gone a while been busy with project and just plain general work#but had some free time today and finally put pen to paper on an idea I’ve had a for a while now!#Pacifica calls Stan by his name but still calls Ford Mr Pines because she’s got that ettiquette and fear of authority ingrained in her#but Stan is a bugger so she feels better just calling him Stan lol#this is honestly just a roundabout way of saying Stan is naturally good with kids I think#the more paternal grunkle lol#Also I feel like ghost rules in the show are ghosts can change their perception based on how powerful they are#since sometimes they’re invisible or unseen by people unless the ghost wills it (i.e. inconveniencing)#but Pacifica’s just too ghost pilled so she’s always seeing them regardless#Ford is very interested in the science of how this works and Stan has to remind him she’s still trying to get over trauma give her a second#I feel like after this summer at least specifically for this AU she’d end up staying with either Soo and Melody or the Corduroys#Soos might even say they’re siblings since he also sees Stan as a father figure and then Pacifica says ‘dang guess I gotta go die now’#from embarrassment lol

#poorly drawn mdzs#better drawn mdzs#mdzs#lan sizhui#jin ling#lan jingyi#granny wen#This may very well be the comic to have undergone the most revisions of this whole project.#I wanted to bring a very specific feeling to this moment - but there are so many things going on in the second half of this episode.#I still think I could have done better - but I've spent days on this one. I do not normally spend *days* on a comic.#In the end...even if the wen remnants passed away in terror and anguish...there was still love and compassion that remained.#Despite WWX's actions not making idealistic change - it gave them enough hope to not fall into complete resentment.#Though only one person truly lived - they recognize him with love.#The return of the toy (in PD-MDZS it's the origami pinwheel) is such a lovely bit of symbolism.#When we age we often leave behind the toys and people we knew - but there is always a fondness and nostalgia we can't erase.#LSZ - who's traumatic coping mechanism made him forget it all - still feels that familiarity.#We often want to walk away from pain - but the past isn't a door you just shut and forget about.#It is only through walking back into that metaphorical playroom and seeing who you used to be that we can understand ourselves.#So his toy childhood and return to him. It does not fit within the life he has built. He is too old. But that love still lies within him.#PS: The last panel features the Circle of Willis - the major artery system that wraps around your brainstem.#I personally love it's shape a lot. It looks like a little guy! It's so distinct! Easily in my top 5 human parts of human circuitry.
