Psina and Killburn
Just refs I made for my setting (and art-fight haha)
Lore under the cut!
Psina is a demon possesing an armour, she's mostly evil and doesn't care for anything but her god (or maybe she just wants to slay it to become one herself..?) and maybe her "collegues", very cryptic.. thing Her armour is filled with black sticky substance and tentacles which is her real body (or, perhaps, the lack of one)
Killburn is her "collegue", a gargoyle possesing a cadaver. He was created by mages in some magical accident and was discarded. Unfortunately for mages, he possessed a random corpse and here he is! Chaotic little goblin. Doesn't know much, but very adaptive, crafty and cunning. He lost his legs in another.. mage incident.. but found a new furry pair :) Hates mages and can be very dumb at times (his best friend is a mage. he doesn't even know what he hunts her dad lmao) His name is the only two words he could remember (probably from the late dude whose body he uses now)
They're both followers of the "Time-Pierced-God", wearing red cloth tatters as a sign of the "possessed" so the other things what can posses bodies don't touch them It's also a sign of the mercanaries (which kill.. more evil stuff, mostly pests which are know for their relation to the Vile Mushrooms)
Psina recruited Killburn just cuz he was good at wreaking havoc and chaotic enough to use him for her plans
Forgot to add - the glowing crystals beside the characters are their soul (or so called spark) representation. Killburn got pretty simple one and Psina’s is fractured but powerful nonetheless

Defined Space: Ammonite Line Enterprises
Every child enrolled in ALE's compulsary 8 year Kids Akadamy knows that every ALE-ien has their role to play in the cycles of profit and loss that make up the lifeblood of the Ammonite Line, and that these cycles have a long and storied history going back to humanity's birthplace of Earth.
The star-spanning conglomerates that would come to be known as ALE started as corporations on Earth hundreds of years ago. Through means both overt and covert, these corporations eventually overthrew or subsumed several nations across the planet. Completely unchecked industry accelerated the already unavoidable climate collapse, prompting the leaders of the corpo-states to finally enact their plan of terraforming and settling Mars, leaving behind the remnants of the states that remained on Earth post the launching of the colony ships. They divided the red planet amongst themselves, and some used it as a stepping stone to the Jovian moons.
Eventually, though, the corporations were ousted from Mars by a proletarian uprising, and their borders dissolved to make way for a Unified Mars, the first of what would become known as the Solar Revolutions. These revolutions were long and bloody, slowly beating the corporations back towards Earth and the few satellite stations and underground facilities that remained under their control. The corporations lead economists came to a realization that even if they did turn the tide of war, the cost of doing so would be even more unprofitable than if they lost. Thus, they did what money-men do best: they struck a bargain. The first, amongst themselves, was to join as a conglomerate that would negotiate with the revolutionaries as one voice. The second and more costly one was with the revolutionaries themselves. They relinquished control of Earth and the system to the nascent Solar Unity, in exchange for the FTL drives Unity scientists had developed. Furthermore, the corporations would share their terraforming technology with the Unity in exchange for exclusive rights to colonize certain portions of the Orion and Perseus arms of the galaxy. The Unity agreed, and the corporations-and the workers who still lived in corporation-controlled territories- left for the region of space now dubbed the Ammonite Line.
Today, Ammonite Line Enterprises is comprised of a myriad of corporations that are at times fast allies and bitter enemies. acquisitions, mergers, and hostile takeovers occur both in the boardroom and on the battlefield. An incredibly byzantine system of legal disputes, labor laws, and territory rights means that it can be genuinely unclear who controls what at any given time. On a few occasions companies have even accidentally declared war on their own subsidiaries due to clerical errors. Nominally, the ALE Board of Directors is the ultimate governing body, but they often turn a blind eye to rule-bending as long as quotas are met and growth projections are surpassed. As long as the original terms of the ALE charter are met and no companies act outside of ALE space without the Board's permission, profit comes before all other concerns.
To be an employee-citizen in ALE is not an entirely joyless and miserable existence. However, it is one where nearly every aspect of existence is monetized and audited. Ownership is a luxury few can afford; even the most basic of goods are usually rented, with the calories you eat being recollected via labor. Some keep their heads down and chins up, desperately clinging to the believe that through sheer perseverance they can one day climb up the corporate ladder. Others lash out, trying to rebel against the corporations in the same way the revolutionaries of Mars once did. The vast majority simply live, maybe dreaming of a better life but dismissing those fantasies when they punch in for their shifts. It's no wonder, than, that the war against New Damascus was met with such popular support; even a new enemy is a welcome change of pace from everyday life. It's also no wonder that, being given a taste of true novelty and an idea of what life could be outside the control of ALE, that a great deal of people followed a charismatic leader out of the Ammonite Line and into the stars of Orion's Belt...

is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?

Defined Space: The Solar Unity and the Ammonite Line
The story goes like this:
Humanity faced a crisis. The warnings had been answered too late and too little. Earth was wracked by climate collapse; a glass marble that threatened to crack at any moment. Several governments pooled their resources to craft massive colony ships and launch them towards earth-like planets in the far reaches of the galaxy. Several of the corpo-states that had themselves been the driver's of Earth’s decay hastily went through with terraforming efforts on Mars and the Jovian moons.
Eventually a new paradigm established itself. Mars became a second home for much of humanity, and an eventual separation of corporation and state (after a great deal of bloodshed and hollow compromise) led to the rise of a Unified Mars, which would become the founding member of the Solar Unity. The nascent interplanetary government began working on harnessing the nearlight tech first used on the colony ships to create flash gates within their borders.
The corpo-states, which at this point had been consolidated into a handful of mega-conglomerates, saw their influence begin to wane. After years of crude orbital conflict they struck a bargain with the Unity: they would share their terraforming technology in exchange for access to flashgates and nearlight engines. Additionally, they would relinquish their control of Earth in exchange for exclusive access to a swath of systems at the edge of the Galaxy's spiral arm. This region would eventually become known as the Ammonite Line, and the corporations that inhabited it came together under the banner of ALE: Ammonite Line Enterprises.
Of course, it took ALE a long time to control the Line in more than name only. During initial forays, they discovered that some of the colony arks from Old Earth had settled into the Line. This deep-space culture had, over the long years of travel, morphed the position of Captain and Bridge Crew into a near feudal system of government. This group called themselves New Damascus, after their flagship. Fighting broke out, and while the Solar Federation did step in and create an Accord between New Damascus and ALE, there were some for whom the battle did not end.
ALE Chief Naval Officer Commodore Horace Rho still saw some worlds of New Damascus as rightfully ALE space, and there were many who agreed. He never heeded the ceasefire order from ALE and the Federation. Instead he set up shop in the Orion Constellation, and declared himself First Emperor of Orion's Belt.
Now, a war is waged between the Beltway Empire and the New Damascus Compact. The Solar Federation sends troops and supplies to New Damascus, and some see New Damascus as an extension of the Federation itself. Meanwhile, ALE is more than happy to supply their former CNO with their left hand and their Accord-mates with their right.  The Ammonite Line bleeds, and stains the stars red.

Silly things Phainon does when he's bored/wants your attention.
Tumblr media
Places one pancake under your chin, another on top of your head and declares that he's going to “eat this stack of honeycakes in one bite”.
Plops down beside you belly up and keeps on dramatically sighing.
Calls out your name, when you acknowledge him, he goes quiet, when you return to whatever you were doing he calls out your name again with more urgency ; repeat until you stomp towards him.
Picks you up, shakes you like a salt shaker, sets you down somewhere with a cushion, goes away like nothing happened.
Makes you wear all the antique jewelry in his collection and eventually, makes a barricade around you with everything else he owns, too. Then says, “This is the culmination of my whole life's finances and yet, you remain the most invaluable.”
Pokes you.
Plays with your hair. He thinks he can pull off that one over-complicated hairstyle he saw online.
Tells you jokes and puns.
Pretends to be your shadow and follows you around everywhere wordlessly. Whoever laughs first loses.
Rage-baits you with atrocious outfit suggestions so that you'll start debating with him.
Tells you that he knows a magic trick and detaches his ahoge (it was a fake one).
Calls you (you're literally just a wall apart) but, he's stealthily taken your phone with him. When you're close enough in search of it, he pounces.
Starts mentioning random facts about things.
Starts gossiping about the Council of Elders and that one annoying classmate he had.
Asks you questions like, “How do you think the fishes at Styxia taste?”
Tickles you.
Doodles his neck tattoo, little stars, leaves and flowers on your palm.
Talks about all the adventures he wants to do with you in the future.
Gently headbutts your arm, thigh and cheek to suggest that he demands pets.
Aggressively rubs his face on you when you still don't get/ignore the hint.
Can and will bite you.
Pretends to get hurt so that you'll pay attention to him.
Wrestles titankin, stacks them on top of each other and proudly shows off his ‘hunt’ to you. Please praise him.
