Jeremy & Renee unintentionally teaming up and creating a home with Kevin, Neil, Jean, and Andrew. (No logistics, just vibes for this premise)

They all interact in different degrees of affection/familiarity, but it's just--comfortable and safe.

Renee sitting on the couch and having a hot drink as she reads, when Andrew sits beside her and rests his head on her shoulder. (Jean makes his way over to sit by her feet, so she can run her fingers through his hair.)

Jeremy's up early one morning and Neil finds him and they get to chatting about ~*Exy*~. Kevin slots in behind Neil to join the conversation. Jean follows Kevin's lead and moves behind Jeremy. Andrew's disinterested, but pushes in front of & leans back on Jeremy, so he can nudge at Neil's shins occasionally.

Renee watches her boys with great fondness and is content. (Eventually, they migrate over to the table and she gets a flurry of pecks and hair fluffs.)

I feel like I have a thousand more thoughts, but to name a few:

Jeremy & Renee kiss attacking Jean and he gets indignant but never puts a stop to it (He's actually loving it.)

Kevin & Jean getting (just a little) jealous over Jeremy's attention. (Andrew picks up on their posturing and grabs Jeremy's hand and steals him away, just to be a dick.)

Renee spooning Kevin on the couch, so she can hold him close to her & give him gentle, comforting strokes across his chest.

Andrew and Renee taking Neil shopping every time he tries to get out of it, but *needs* new clothes.

Jean, Kevin, Jeremy & Renee foreign film dates. Andrew and Neil occasionally attend, but also go off on adventures (and/or wreak havoc).

I just...........I want them all to be happy and have as much love as possible.

Hey I just wanted to say that the info about douching in the post you just reblogged is wrong.

The gist is you shouldn't douche more than 1-3 times a week and other tipps to make it safer, but like lots of stuff it isn't dangerous if you don't overdo it.

:( here is the first part of the promised angst.... i literally wrote almost 1k for this ask so i rlly hope the keep reading works (also i’m going to make this canon to spark from a flame bc self promo time)

so bc piandao was army and jj was navy they aren’t actually in the same place a lot of the time so there are a lot of letters and jj occasionally abusing his power to show up wherever piandao is posted

but then. the letters stop coming. (does the fire nation postal service send return addresses? do they bounce back? much to think about. support the usps pls) and soon enough people are whispering that the admiral deserted and piandao is just. shocked. not even bc he did it but bc he never said anything about it and he reads the last letter a lot bc what went wrong was he already thinking about leaving when he wrote that...doesn’t he know piandao would’ve come with him if he asked? he doesn’t hold very much love for the army anyway-

and it’s like. the world’s worst kept secret that piandao is dating jj except he can’t be associated with a deserter bc what if jj got to him too? bc he’s still sending letters just in case they can find him somewhere and his superior comes to him and is like hey. you can’t be doing that. we tolerated your association bc you weren’t breaking any regulations but this is toeing the line of treason and we won’t be so lenient next time.

so he has to cut all contact - not that there was any at that point but now he can’t even say his damn name - and people say the deserter, the traitor in the same way they used to say the admiral, the prodigy and piandao knows how much jj hated being called that. so sometimes when he’s alone and sure that no one can hear him, he just says his name aloud, because jj was always so much more than what people said about him and he’s still convinced that he had to have had a reason for doing what he did.

i think there isn’t that much anger there, not really, at least not past the initial stages and u kno, when it happens sometimes. the primary feelings are more of a confusion, and just. sadness. bc he knows that what they had was real and he doesn’t understand why jj didn’t say anything. and he can’t really...talk to anyone abt it (except lee but lee’s only one person and piandao’s like. im not gonna dump all of this on him)

and the real kicker is...jj did it to keep piandao safe, bc he knows that if he said anything piandao would’ve been right there next to him and he doesn’t want to put him in that situation. bc he knows that in any plausible situation he’ll be running for the rest of his life and he doesn’t want that over piandao’s head bc piandao had nothing to do with jj’s own mistakes and shouldn’t pay the price for his decisions. but he’s fully aware that he’s also hurting him by doing it this way and it just feeds into the circle of self-hate and gah my boy is having a bad time of it indeed.

maybe. after piandao finishes his mandatory service and isn’t tied to the military anymore he goes looking. think roadtrip...but Depressing. and there are Two (2) angst options here and i shall discuss both bc you gave me a platform and gdi i will Use It

so 1. he doesn’t find him. anywhere. it’s like he’s disappeared and somehow it’s worse than him being dead bc he just doesn’t know anything. he starts sending letters again now, maybe under a fake name so people don’t catch onto his identity, but still no response. and he locks himself up in his villa and he’s doing what he dreamed of, just vibing and making swords, but he isn’t happy there, not really.

and 2. he actually finds him; look if the gaang could do it so could he, he’s one of the few competent adults in the show. and when he does find him he looks so different like his hair’s gone all the way white (literally at what. 29?) and instead of his fun cloaks and tunics he just has his drab hermit outfit and he carries himself differently, like his admiral bearing but also Not At All. and it’s abundantly clear that his relationship with his bending is different he doesn’t fidget with flames anymore and it’s like he’s wound up all the time with the effort of keeping them back (bc i made him so connected to his bending in sfaf and i regret that bc it’s so depressing now)

and jj’s like what the FUCK are you doing here, you can’t be here you can’t be seen with me get out get out (a la aang but worse) and piandao’s like please...i just want to talk. and jj lashes out and gdi he’s still powerful and piandao’s never been scared of him, not really, but he thinks he might be right now. but he wouldn’t hurt him, would he? so he reaches out anyway but jj does burn him (like aang did katara), and screams for him to get out. and he leaves. because what else is there to do? (and that’s why the clearing in the deserter looks like that...bc jj burned the whole thing to the ground....)

What’s next for Proposition C?

In November 2018, San Francisco residents passed—by a majority 61%—the housing and homelessness measure Proposition C. This landmark event signaled clear community support for realistic solutions that help our city’s most vulnerable residents, provide more affordable housing, and end homelessness in San Francisco.

Although Proposition C is expected to bring in $300 million per year for homelessness and housing services, a lawsuit that may take years to resolve is currently preventing the collected funds from being spent.

In the meantime, efforts are underway to improve the situation for the more than 7,000 people living without housing in San Francisco, and the thousands more in unstable or unsafe housing. Sam Lew, policy director for Coalition on Homelessness, answered our questions about what’s next for housing and homelessness initiatives in San Francisco.

Mayor London Breed proposed an ordinance to release some Proposition C funds. Could you fill us in on what the ordinance specifies?

Sam Lew: The ordinance is for a 10% tax credit that businesses taxed by Proposition C are able to opt into. So basically if a business has to pay $100 in taxes, their taxes would be reduced to $90—but the catch is that they are voluntarily agreeing to pay those taxes whether or not the suit against Proposition C passes or fails. Having businesses opt into this agreement would allow the city to free up some of the Proposition C tax money for use now.

The ordinance passed in April, but we don’t know if any businesses have opted in. We’re assuming Salesforce will, because they supported Proposition C.

Another important source of funding for homelessness and housing initiatives will come from the Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund (ERAF) “windfall.” Could you tell us more about what this is, and how the funds might be used?

ERAF, is a state program that requires counties to set aside a portion of local property taxes to a fund to be used for their school district. When the fund reaches its state-imposed cap, the remaining funds are then returned to the local government to be used for other purposes at the local government’s discretion. The term “windfall” is a bit of a misnomer, because the city is expected to continue receiving this funding for the foreseeable future. Last year this reserved discretionary city fund had about $185 million extra, which was split up between childcare, teacher salaries and homelessness/housing.

In March, Mayor Breed signed off on a City budget that allocated a portion of the ERAF windfall to a variety of housing and homelessness initiatives, including $15 million for a new homeless navigation center, $40 million for anti-eviction measures, $14 million to buy land for affordable housing, $9 million to improve public housing and $42.5 million to complete construction of a homeless housing site.

Right now, we’re working on an “ERAF 2.0” funding proposal, that would provide funds to support young people and families without housing.

The city is also already collecting Proposition C taxes, although the city isn’t allowed to spend that money until the lawsuit is resolved. The idea is that if the lawsuit is resolved in favor of Proposition C, that Proposition C money would refund the city for the ERAF funds.

The contentious fight over the proposed navigation center near the Embarcadero is currently making news. Can you tell us a little bit more about how navigation centers help people?

Navigation centers are low-barrier entry points for services, including shelter beds, and you can access them 24/7. Our stance on the navigation centers is that they’re good because they are low barrier. They don’t have curfews like traditional shelters. They also allow for partners, pets and possessions, which typically aren’t allowed in traditional shelters. But there are critiques of navigation centers too: People can only stay there for between 30 and 60 days, which we know isn’t enough time for someone to stabilize their life or find housing. It’s a quick turn-around time before you’re back on the street.

The proposed navigation center in the parking lot by the waterfront is a project Mayor Breed feels strongly about, since it’s part of her 1,000 shelter-bed expansion plan. We have $15 million in ERAF funding for this project, and the port commission recently voted to approve the land being leased to San Francisco. The Mayor is really pushing this project forward, so I think it will happen.

How will the Coalition on Homelessness, and other housing/homelessness organizations, ensure that new initiatives meet the needs of people who are homeless?

One of the exciting things we’re doing with Our City Our Home is putting together a really comprehensive needs assessment of shelter, mental health and substance use treatment systems so that we can see and understand where there are gaps, what things are working, and what things are not working. We’re going to use a community-based participatory research model where homeless people and people with lived experience of homelessness will be trained and lead the survey process.

Even with the lawsuit going on, this is really important for us to do because it will help us know where the gaps are and where money needs to be spent. And at the same time, it will center the lived experiences of homeless people.

Seperti yang disampaikan senator Dedi Iskandar Batubara. Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) RI ini menyebut pidato perdana yang disampaikan Edy Rahmayadi setelah resmi dilantik oleh Presiden Joko Widodo di Jakarta pada 5 September 2018 lalu,  tidak menyebutkan duta besar dan konsulat jenderal negara sahabat yang hadir dalam rapat paripurna istimewa tersebut.

“Kita menyesalkan pidato gubernurnur karena tidak menyebutkan penghormatan kepada konjen negara-negara sahabat, dan itu saya kira dalam protokoler acara seperti ini itu sangat fatal sekali. Padahal ada tiga konsulat jenderal negara sahabat yang hadir di dalam ruang paripurna,” sebut Dedi Iskandar.

Bahkan menurut Dedi Iskandar dia sempat melihat gestur tubuh dari Konjen Amerika yang kelihatan kurang nyaman karena namanya tidak disebutkan dalam rapat tersebut.

Selain tidak menyebut kehadiran Konsul dan Konjen Negara sahabat, protokoler juga tidak menyebutkan kehadiran dari dua Lembaga Tinggi Negara yang diundang dalam acara tersebut yakni Dewan Perwakilan  Daerah (DPD) RI dan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) RI.

Sebagaimana diketahui, selain Dedi Iskandar Batubara yang merupakan anggota DPD RI, hadir juga dalam kesempatan itu anggota DPR RI H Abdul Wahab Dalimunthe.

“Gubernur juga tidak menyebutkan kami yang hadir disini. Ada dua Lembaga tinggi negara yang hadir yakni DPD dan DPR. Artinya yang salah bukan gubernur tapi bu sekda dan sfaf-staf nya. Saya hanya mengingatkan bahwa saya ini anggota Lembaga Tinggi Negara, ada anggota DPR juga hadir disini pak Wahab Dalimunthe,” sebutnya.

Sementara Ketua Komisi A DPRD Sumut HM Nezar Djoeli juga mengkritik pidato Gubsu Edy Rahmayadi karena naskah pidato Gubsu tidak ada di setiap meja dewan. Padahal naskah pidato yagn berisikan visi misi dan program Gubsu itu penting untuk diketahui wakil rakyat.

“Kita minta masalah ini jangan di anggap enteng. Saya rasa ada orang yang harus bertanggungjawab dalam masalah ini. Mengapa di meja dewan tidak ada pidato Gubsu, ini penting bagi kami untuk kedepannya bisa mengkritik kinerja,” ujarnya usai rapat paripurna.

Menurut Nezar Kepala Biro Humas dan Keprotokolan Ilyas Sitorus dan Kepala Biro Otonomi Daerah Basarin Yunus Tanjung harus bertanggungjawab atas insiden yang kurang mengenakkan tersebut.

Sekretaris DPRD Sumut Erwin Lubis ketika dikonfirmasi wartawan, menyatakan bahwa pihaknya hanya bertindak sebagai tuan rumah penyelenggaraan rapat Paripurna Istimewa tersebut. Sementara seluruh persiapan, termasuk teks pidato gubernur dilakukan oleh Biro Otonomi Daerah (Otda) Setda Provsu.

“Kami hanya penyelenggara saja, persiapan seluruhnya dilakukan oleh Biro Otda Setda Provsu,” ujar Erwin Lubis. (ts-02)

               One of the prominent social movements that occurred during the 1980s was based around the AIDS epidemic and its high rates in the gay community. While AIDS is theorized to have first transferred to humans sometime in the 1920, it wasn’t until the 70s and 80s that it truly became an epidemic. By the 1980s the AIDS epidemic was truly underway thousands of estimated cases and men in the gay community report widespread deaths from the disease. It wasn’t until this point that HIV and AIDS was even really known because its symptoms are not highly recognizable and not very specific to a single disease instead of just a symptom of any different wasting diseases. Once it was starting to be defined, AIDS had already spread across the US and to several countries in the Europe.

               After it was originally discovered common amongst gay men in America, the disease became known as Gay-Related Immune Deficiency (GRID). From this early definition, AIDS became a gay stereotype and was incredibly harmful to the advancement of the gay community during this time period. Due to this stereotype most organizations were centered in areas with a large gay population. In New York there was the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) founded by Larry Kramer what was originally the Kaposi’s sarcoma Research and Education Foundation transformed into the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) as it was discovered that the rising rates of the cancer were found to be a result of AIDS. Its negative stereotype as strictly a gay disease not only hurt the image of the gay community, but it also lowered the amount information that was available to the public due to the homophobic nature of much of the public during this time period.

               One of the main goals of these early was to reduce these harmful stereotypes and increase the general knowledge of this disease. These groups found limited success through the first several years mostly through the use of informational pamphlets and fundraising opportunities. What success they found was minimal as the US public was still uneducated and fearful of the disease. Information to the public was still so small that in 1985 a teenager who was infected with HIV through a blood transfusion and was expelled from his high school in fear of spreading the disease. This was the same year that blood banks officially stopped accepting gay men as blood donors. Despite being president for almost the entirety of the AIDS epidemic, President Regan didn’t publically speak on it until 1987, although his administration did attempt to quell public panic by saying the disease was confined to gay men and intravenous drug users.

               While these first organizations found minimal success they were very successful in raising funds for the disease itself. In an attempt to again raise awareness and improve the medicine and research available, Larry Kramer, founder of GMHC, created ACT UP. An organization attempting to increase research on the disease and make the drugs more accessible. At the time of its creation, it cost those infected $10,000 a year for the drugs to help treat the disease. ACT UP used more intense methods such as larger scale protests in an attempt to force the FDA to approve more AIDS drugs. In one protest, ACT UP members managed to close a FDA building for a day by blocking roads and entrances to the building. Doing this holding signs and chanting for the FDA to release AIDS drugs. Just one year after the creation of ACT UP, the price of AZT, the main drug combating AIDS, was reduced by 20%. During this time period and over the following the years, the FDA releases several new laws speeding up the testing and approval process of drugs to combat the still rising levels of AIDS. It is also found that the rate of infection is now faster among heterosexual people than that of gay people.

               Overall I would say that these early organizations were successful in their goals. While the first groups only saw limited success they still managed to raise money and awareness for the disease. With the elevated success of ACT UP, AIDS awareness and removing stereotypes have nearly disappeared. As someone born in 1995, AIDS was still a large problem in America being the leading cause of death for people aged 25-44. Despite growing up when AIDS was still a large concern I didn’t even know it was at one point thought of as a gay disease, or that gay men most likely had the disease. Both of which were common thoughts in previous years. This shows just how far these stereotypes have come and what these organizations are able to do.
