Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favour rests.” Luke 2:13-14
This spectacular announcement was made to the shepherds who were located on the lower rungs of the social ladder, during the time of Jesus' birth.  It was almost too much for them to handle. They were terrified.
Furthermore, they were told that they would find the newborn Christ swaddled in cloths, lying in a manger.
Throughout History God has announced the birth of His Messiah through many prophets and even angels, as in the case of the shepherds.
Today, the good news of the Messiah is being announced to us. How are we going to respond? The shepherds heard the good news, listened and responded.
How will you respond?  Would you run to the presence of Jesus, worship Him, and offer your life to Him?

TTRPGS about: Found Family
I love found family stories with my whole heart and, in my experience, for many people that's the big draw of group ttrpgs! While you can tell these stories in many games, some games are specifically made for them and hit Just Right. Check them out below!
Protect the Child by Mint-Rabbit
Cost: free/pwyw
I'll be harping on about this game for years to come. It's specifically about a group of monsters being forced to take care of a kid! Mint has created 4 playsets so far: The Secret Life of Dogs (where dogs must get a toddler back to his family), Monsters of the 1700s (folk horror where our monsters help a child lost in the woods), Lily's Angels (urban monsters adopt a trans teen after her coming out goes horribly wrong), and Digital Glitch (cyberpunk playset where a group of criminals somewhat-accidentally rescue a child from medical experimentation.)
Nowhere Home by Sam Robson
Cost: $2 (community copies available at time of writing)
A pamphlet rpg by yours truly, Nowhere Home is about a group of monstrous outcasts finding home with each other. Currently in development is a 30-page expanded version with four playsets to kickstart your imagination: medieval fantasy Dark Age, modern day Lonely Road, futuristic Neon Highway and spacefaring Galaxy Hoppers.
Shepherds by AirkSeablade
Cost: $10 (community copies available at time of writing.)
A jrpg inspired game of young heroes making the world a better place! Described as 'hopeful fantasy' by the author, the game is all about forging bonds with others and finding where you belong.

Daphnis and Chloe
Artist: François Gérard (French, 1770-1837)
Date: ca. 1824
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit, Michigan, United States
Description
Daphnis and Chloe is a Greek pastoral novel written during the Roman Empire, the only known work of second-century Hellenistic romance writer Longus. It is set on the Greek isle of Lesbos, where scholars assume the author to have lived. Its style is rhetorical and pastoral; its shepherds and shepherdesses are wholly conventional, but the author imparts human interest to this idealized world.

The Shulamite
Artist: John Roddam Spencer Stanhope (English, 1829-1908)
Date: 1878
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Private Collection
The Shulamite
The Shulamite woman, or Shulamite maiden, is the bride of Solomon who features in the Song of Songs. She is only mentioned once by the title “Shulamite,” in Song of Solomon 6:13.
Solomon uses passionate language to describe his bride and their love (Song 4:1–15). Solomon clearly loved the Shulamite - and he admired her character as well as her beauty (Song 6:9). Everything about the Song of Solomon betrays the fact that this bride and groom were passionately in love and that there was mutual respect and friendship, as well (Song 8:6–7). This suggests the possibility that the Song of Solomon is the story of Solomon’s first marriage, before he sinned by adding many other wives (1 Kings 11:3). Whoever the Shulamite was, she was Solomon’s first and truest love.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday ...
As to Friday, Friday, Friday and Saturday, Saturday, Saturday ... please be assured that they did indeed happen ... albeit seemingly upside down, sideways and with the 'this way up - fragile' label missing from them. ;-)
As you can see ...the ... car ... is ... back!!! 🥳🥳🥳
I've had Willie Nelson's 'On The Road Again' flootling through my brain ever since I went and picked the old gal up from my friend's driveway!! :-) That and a pretty constant shagadelic "Yeah baby!!" as I drove up the road yesterday, fully cognito, to go get my Groundhog Day TV Guide.
The Rooks are also thrilled to see the 'old charabanc' back in perfect position for their fecally loaded flybys. Bless their little arses and hearts! ;-D I did buy a car cover (once upon a time) ... but, somehow, that entered the house, disappeared through an "I'll put this here for now" portal, and has yet to be rediscovered so it can be used.
Still ... today the sun is shining ... I've a nice hot drink to hand ... and I'm fondly watching the shepherds, who have attached their kites to one of the neighbours as he tootles around on his ride on lawn mower. Somehow I don't think he can pick up enough speed to get them airborne no matter how many sandals the shepherds lob at him as a form of encouragement.
Still ... it does mean the Lost Postman can hop from deckchair to deckchair without interference. Happy days!! ;-) ...
