The singular case of the Three Holmes

This is some Sherlockian fan art. I loved all three modern versions of Holmes and wanted to reference them in one drawing. Then, it started to grow, because it seemed a shame that others who'd played Holmes, and the Watsons, and even Moriarty, weren't in the drawing. And this is the result. This, for one reason or another, took me just under a year to create. I was going through some issues to do with age, with arthritis, and confidence. I also had a huge detour of six months working on train scripts for Open Simulator, which sort of knocked my visual creativity out of me for the duration (I even missed this year's Jenny Everywhere Day artwork).  I restarted this after turning 66. Arthritis is creeping up on me in my hands, feet, and knee. But, I'll draw for as long as I can. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The characters/actors shown are...

We now have the ability to make it so that when you look up Sherlock Holmes, instead of Benedict Cumberbatch you now get a picture of Henry Cavill. And I just thinks that’s beautiful.

I'm aware I've threaded the needle even finer RE: the amount of knowledge you need to understand all the jokes, so here is a quick rundown of knowledge if you're confused:

Sherlock Holmes canonically has a brother whose name is actually Mycroft.

Minecraft comes on a range of different 'editions' Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft: Education Edition, Minecraft: PI edition etc etc...

In the story The Final Problem, Watson has to deduce Holmes' fate based on what he can observe. The text here is paraphrased from that story.

/ban is a command which will ban a player from a server.

/tp @p will teleport another player to you.

OP is short for 'operator' - someone with highest level permissions to change things like the rules of the game, weather, the time of day, etc. Our dear Minecraft may have just accidentally made himself a god.

We see Doctor Watson staring at the Reichenbach Falls.

Watson: It was all too easy to see what had become of my dearest friend in his final confrontation with Professor Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls. Two lines of footmarks leading away, and none returning- And a churned up patch of ground indicating a struggle

Watson: (looking defeated) ...Oh, Holmes...

SEVERAL HOURS EARLIER

Holmes and Moriarty are engaged in a struggle on a narrow path above the falls. Suddenly, Moriarty disappears.

The words "/ban ProfMoriarty" appear in the sky.

Holmes looks confused.

The words '/tp @p Sherlock_Holmes' appear, and Sherlock vanishes too. He appears in a room where his brother is standing next to a strange steampunky computer.

Sherlock: What is this? Where am I? Minecraft, what have you done?

Minecraft: I'm the admin now, Sherlock.
