So I've been playing Pokemon games since Fire Red and Leaf Green. In all that time, in ALL the Pokemon games I've played since over these many MANY years... I've never got a shiny...

Earlier this month, I decided to try improving my sleep habits and downloaded this game to help motivate me. Kinda working. XD Apparently the shiny rate is presumably 1 to 410...

This is my FIRST shiny in ALL the Pokemon games I have ever played!!

I named her Luna. She's got a sister named Arche(not shiny).

I did some doodling after work and made pokemon teams for my OC's. They are NOT balanced for gaming this is pure vibes. Tobbe is Just A Guy (normal) and The Vendor is literally The Devil (Fairy)

Pokemon Variants: Snowy Eevee

Snowy Eevee is a breed of Eevee that are built to live in snowy environments.

Not to be mistaken for a shiny eeve or Actic Fox eevee (the name for an Eevee with an Alolan Vulpix/Ninetails father), snowy eevee are eevee that are hatched in colder environments. They have lighter colored fur and fluff built to keep them warm. Eevee of this breed are more likely to evolve into Glaceon, though they can still evolve into other eeveelutions.

Keep in mind, not all Snowy eevee look like this, this is just the most common. They can fall into other breeds as well, like floppy eared or calico. Just the rule to follow: for every pokemon (except ditto, legendaries, and most mythixs), there are at least 30+ variants of it.

Scarlet and Violet are having an Eevee Outbreak event and I love it! I've already gotten two shiny Eeves from it!

3D assignment 5.3

For my final keyframe, I was really inspired by Mughal/Arabic architecture, the domes and arches that dominate their castles. I decided to use 3D modelling as my blockout, on top of which I did a paint-over.

For the landscape, a dramatic cliff seemed fitting for the structure that I wanted to be lodged on, almost floating in the air. I discovered the easy hack of using the built-in add on of landscapes that is there in Blender. Using proportional editing of vertices, I manipulated the hilly landscape into something more grander and deep. Using simple modelling and array modifiers, the main part of the castle was built. The bridge was the most interesting part to model, using boolean modifier to create the grand arches. To add some more narrative to the frame, I added a few flaoting rocks around the castle that would be connected to the castle during paintover.

After adding sky texture to the world and setting up the camera to a nice angle, I rendered out the frame in Eeve. Going over to Clip Studio paint, I painted over the rendered frame and added some dramatic lighting that would bounce off the walls of the castle. To add some more sense of scale and altitude, I added a flock of birds that are flying towards the castle, with their shiny feathers reflecting the strong sunlight.

Remember: most Eeves learn Covet naturally. Make sure you keep your valuables away from the little one (especially the shiny stuff)

I’m so angry I walked my shiny 801 CP amazing IV Eevee that I’ve been holding onto for MONTHS for 10 km to evolve into a shiny Umbreon on HALLOWEEN NIGHT without knowing you have to keep it as a buddy before evolving so guess who has an ugly, overpowered green Jolteon now

i have an eevee & pikachu duo (do not separate them.), a shiny nihilego (as well as technically an unnamed poochyena that died), a charizard, an alolan meowth, a haunter, an arcanine (these four also usually go together- there's also a fifth i forgor Q^Q), a vaporeon (you already know. she's usually white-colored. YOU ALREADY KNOW.), a custom fakemon (or regional variant?) i never actually finished, a second unfinished fakemon, a third unfinished fakemon, an alolan ninetails, an arbok, the ghost of an applin, a full set of eeveelutions, a pheromosa (that technically goes with a fidough), a kartana, a zeraora, a salamence, a xurkitree, another arcanine, a gardevoir, a stakataka, and at least 7 undecided pokemon

plus there's my fakemon region :3

Speaking of a Pokémon trainer MC, I've always been a big fan of fusion and mashup cosplays and I think that could work amazingly for a cosplay.

You just dress up in the usual Pokémon trainer garb but with purple/pink hair and horns as a nod to MC (or have purple/pink sweatbands). You could try to make a casual version of the RAD uniform, maybe using the big ass star badge as a hair accessory or a backpack key chain, or do a gym-uniform version of the school uniform with the same colors.

URs and UR+ are shiny cards or could work as evolutions (so in a way everyone is an eeve-lution, having multiple phases for one base character) .

Element types and energy cards? Boom, they're all based on the sins now.

and then i have a geodude that i’ve had for a long time, but if i find someone i’m more interested in i could switch it out, and i wanna do something with bill’s eeve but apparently you can’t get glaceon without trading to sinnoh (which, i mean, i think i could do? if i could hunt down my ds or borrow a friend, but also is it worth that much effort? i dunno)

i was thinking i needed fire, so maybe go with flareon, and either get golem or be inspired by something else along the line

when i started this, i wanted to get, like, a murkrow and some other pokemon, but so many of the ones i was looking at were in kanto routes only

Something is happening in the palace.

Legolas knows this because it’s been two days since his dad had dinner with them, even longer since he saw more than a few glimpses of his grandad. His mom says he should leave them to their work and not bother them or the other guards.

There are lots of guards in the palace lately.

Blacksmiths too, with big shields and pointy swords and shiny armor. It’s like one of those stories dad tells him when his mom isn’t around, Legolas thinks, about great battles and victory and, and– dragons!

So, honest, he hadn’t meant to get in anyone’s way, but he wanted a book, the one with the big maps so he could see where the dragons are. It’s not his fault his grandad caught him trying to climb the library shelf.

“That was very dangerous,” he says, placing Legolas back on the floor, “what were you trying to do?”

“I wanted the book with the maps,” Legolas points at the big one, with the colorful pictures, jutting out the shelf, “to see where Dagorlard is.” 

The change is quick, his grandad’s expression falls into a frown and Legolas shrinks back. He’s so in trouble. “Dagorlad? Where did you hear that name?”

“Erm, I heard mom and dad talking last night,” he admits, shifting from foot to foot, “I know I shouldn’t eaf– eeves– sneak around, but I didn’t mean to listen, I just wanted some water. And they were talking very loud.”

“They were, weren’t they?” His grandad sighs, waving him closer. His face isn’t doing the frowny thing anymore, so Legolas figures he’s not in that much trouble, and his grandad picks him up, making him giggle– Legolas does love being tall. “The place you heard, your father and I will go there very soon, I believe that is why your mother is upset. She worries, that is all.”

“Are you going to fight a dragon?”

Legolas tries to imagine it– the long wings, the shiny scales, the bright fire. It all sounds very brave and very cool, the kind of thing they write songs about.

“Of sorts,” he sighs again, walking up to the big window in the library. Outside, the guards are gathering again, testing out the new swords and armors and shields, and Legolas wishes he could be out there, training too. Go fight the big dragon with his dad. “It is a very evil place, that is why we’re marching against it. We fight now so there can be peace tomorrow. So you won’t have to fight any dragons.”

“But I want to!” Legolas whines, thinking about the songs and the stories and the tapestries in the halls. “I want to go on an adventure too when I’m big like you and dad!”

His grandad is looking at him and he looks sad, but he still smiles. “You will have your adventure, child, but I hope it will not be anything like ours.”

For the first time since all those people started coming to the palace, Legolas thinks of his mom crying last night and his dad kissing her hair and his grandad smiling while looking sad– for the first time, he’s scared even though he doesn’t understand what is going on. “I don’t want you and dad to go,” he whispers.

“We have to, it is our duty,” his grandad shakes his head, “but we will be back before you notice it. In the meantime, you’ll have to be good, yes? Look after your mother, don’t let her work too hard. Will you do that for me?”

Legolas nods sharply. “I will,” he buries his face on his grandad’s shirt, “I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”

He feels the low rumble of his grandad’s chuckles. “Of course, my boy. Let’s get you upstairs, hm? Your mother is probably looking for you.”

Maybe adventures are a bit scary and maybe there are other things out there that aren’t dragons and maybe Legolas doesn’t know what all of this means yet, but he does know something is changing, something big. He squeezes his eyes shut and clings tighter to his grandad, for now, he’ll just trust his family to keep the shadows at bay.
