Obsessed with the idea of Keyleth being the voice of the tempest, this big powerful political figure among her people who's loved and respected. Meanwhile, you have Vax following her around like her little errand boy. He can't really contribute much, but he looks cute, and he doesn't mind being arm candy for the voice of the tempest.

When you think about it, Imodna is actually pretty boring. The Fandom treats Imodna like they were at the very apex of the gay rights movement every time they so much as cooked macaroni and cheese together as if there weren't other canonically queer couples who did it better. Kima/Allura and Beau/Yasha for those who want big name sapphic relationships. Caleb/Essek for the gays. Whatever the fuck Caleb and Veth had in a messy, complex, and interesting QPR.

Like Imodna is definitely not the best ship in CR. Especially when you look at the options and to say so is just. Ya basic. You picked two characters who's relationship felt stagnant cause neither character grew. Percy/Vex had growth. So did Keyleth/Vax, Fjord/Jester, Beau/Yasha, Caleb/Essek. Hell even Dorian/Orym's relationship had change and growth of the characters and they spent 80 episodes with one PC off screen and the other pining.

Not saying I don't like Imodna. I'm just saying that their relationship is very. Boring. Both characters are kinda one note and I think people liked them because they're just bland enough that you can paste yourself on them Bella Swan style.

I adored the scene between Orym and the Wildmother. I thought it was beautiful. they cannot make me hate either of them. but of course I must take it upon myself to address some responses to it that I’ve seen floating about, especially bc the way some people talk about emotions makes me concerned:

1) an appeal to emotion is not inherently manipulative. it’s a normal part of communication, and treating it as “playing dirty” will negatively affect yourself and your relationships with others. trust me. you are allowed to express your feelings, and other people are allowed to take your feelings into account and adjust their behavior. it’s actually a good thing! that’s healthy communication!

2) “see you soon” is not a death wish, nor is it a firm belief that he will die in the upcoming battle. it’s an acknowledgement that on the grand, cosmic scale of time, their separation is only for a short while. I suppose it would depend on the belief in an afterlife of the people around you, but have you never heard this sentiment expressed? not once?

(spoilers ahead) s3 finale legend of vox machina 10000/10 BUT

feel like they could've milked those last 3 episodes for at least double the run time.

It felt rushed compared to the rest of the season. I mean, each individual quest could've lasted just as much as the arc that led to Percy's death, but alas, Amazon and its season standardization is here to kill creativity and the arts.

The fact they rushed to tie up all the loose ends killed the emotional payoff they had set with earlier stakes. For example, Percy's revival and his reunion with Vex. Even Keyleth's declaration to Vax. Which btw, looking back, it's sad they put Vaxleth on the backburner. I'm a Perc'ahlia stan first and human second, but Vaxleth felt almost as a sidequest compared to how pivotal Perc'ahlia was to the season. I guess Vaxleth will have its moment to shine in the sun once...... the thing happens, but idk, I wish they had let us savor the moment a bit more for both ships.

I just wish, ya know, they'd given us a bit more brainrot.

Anyway both ships got to fuck this season and Vex still graced that pathetic, smitten sod with the best tits in Exandria ia so it's still a 1000/10 😌😌😌

Also! I gotta say I'm intrigued with how Percy will end up with Cabal's Ruin. I don’t watch the live play (shh don’t judge me i have a short attention span) but as far as I understood, the last fight with Ripley is where Percy would have gotten it?? I guess they're saving that for the Vecna arc.

Anyway, I still love it lol and I'm glad they did bring back best boy no mercival percival because his existence holds my sanity with the thinnest mf thread 😌 and when i tell you i was at the edge of my seat when we were halfway through the finale and there was still no sight of my favorite dumbest nerd.

1. The OG. Had us all on the floor shaking and crying when it happened. Extra points for Marisha having no idea wtf was going on. After everything that happened with these two, it's also now incredibly tragic and beautiful in hindsight. They were so young and free.

2. Every single time Mr. Travis "I don't do romance" Willingham decides to pull one of these, it's a delight for everyone involved. Laura Bailey is too powerful, even against her own husband.

3. This scene happened in the BREAD ISLE! Chaos took complete hold of the table for 30+ seconds and all everybody could do was giggle in shock. Extra points for Laura being possessed by a horsegirl and having no idea what was gonna come out of her mouth. Extra extra points for Marisha, once again, having no idea wtf was going on.
