A wallpaper design for the @90scartoonszine, featuring the titular characters from the TV series Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot.

This cartoon is something I've always had at the back of my mind, even if I don't remember a single episode or scene about it haha. But I remember the character designs well — enough to have made crossover fanart of them before, and to want to work on them for this zine.

I just FINALLY got deltarune and finished chapter three anf i CANNOT get this FREAK out of my HEAD he evokes the emotions of a sopping wet pathetic little thing covered in gunk in the sewer and i want to put him in a bag and shake it till hes quiet

with the caveat I'm like barely an hour into Babylon's Ashes, I'm actually impressed. This is the first time I've encountered the 'charismatic revolutionary with correct underlying principles but fundamentally morally wrong methods' narrative where I've come out of it like. Yeah. Fuck that guy, I hope the new combined fleet takes him out.

Like whenever the MCU attempts it it's always just like 'antagonist says a bunch of objectively morally correct things and then kills a kid so we all know they're Real Bad Actually'. There's a sense of disconnect. This time I can 100% trace Marco's principles to his plans and I'm like. Wow. You suck. They make a certain sort of sense, but hard pass from me, bro. I can totally see how people are supporting him but for me as audience member, it's not breaking my support for the protagonists. (In the way that, to further pick on the MCU, the way the flagsmashers were handled really ruined my perspective of Falcon and the Winter Soldier because I just kept being like....and we're supposed to think they're the bad guys???)

again caveat, glancing at the table of contents we do get some Marco POV chapters. Opinions may change. I also get the sense the show might lend a different perspective because it seems like more people who've seen the show are like 'belters forever, inner planets suck' and I'm sitting here listening like TT.TT but Earth and Mars are dying TT.TT
