You couldn't take Snape seriously though? You're constantly saying that it wasn't SA and trying to make it seem as if he was in the wrong the whole time? You can't even admit that James and Sirius were wrong for what they did. You put SA into a box as if it only needs to be sexually charged for it to count - as if what matters is what the offender was thinking and not the victim.

Hello! If someone is uncomfortable with their clothing being removed in front of a group of people, then that counts as assault. To sexually assault someone isn't to just want someone sexually and attempt to rape them. It's also a way to make the victim feel humiliated, powerless, and disgusted with themself, or hopeless if you want some more seasoning. When someone gets assaulted, would you really focus on what was going on in the mind of the assaulter?

They aren't the one that got assaulted, and most likely, they don't care. They find it funny, or lighthearted. The victim does not.

And just like that, you have invalidated SO MANY men who've been assaulted. It's not just boys being boys. It's bullying, it isn't fair, it isn't okay, you can't pin the blame on the victim. Snape was minding his business. He wasn't harming the Marauders in any way. Saying that he's the one who made the spell/charm wtvr is so immature. Are you going to say that if a girl gets tased with her own taser, it's also her fault for carrying it on her? While trying to protect herself?

Severus is a fictional character, and honestly, this isn't completely about him at this point. It's about the fact that sexual assault has been watered down in multiple fandoms. It makes me squirm uncomfortably. I hate it so much that this is something people aren't educated on.
