-->ANYWAY – with that nonsense over it, and Alice’s veggies ready, it was time to start supper! I had Alice get a traditional turkey dinner going while Marm – who was going up into the attic anyway to clean up some trash – got put on gnome-appeasing duty, as he was the only one not to have done so yet. I picked the Gnome Reaper for him to appease and had him offer some coffee –

Aaaand no dice. And his attempt at asking forgiveness didn’t go down great either, as you can see. Hell, the shock didn’t even refill his charge need, like regular lightning will for a Servo. :( Shame. I decided “okay then, do what you were doing before – rummage through this garbage then clean up this puddle–”

And then realized too late that I’d set VICTOR to clean up some puddles in the living room, and of course he INSISTED on climbing the ladder all the way to the attic to try and get the one Marm was mopping even after I canceled the interaction. *sigh* Though at least that allowed me to send him to go have a nap (as he was as tired as he was hungry at this point) in his own bed, instead of on the living room couch...and to realize that hey, he had a talent point! Dunno when he got that, but might as well spend it on “Magical Resonance” to make him even more powerful when he’s in the Magic Realm! Not that he spends a lot of time in the Magic Realm – maybe we should visit again someday…

-->While all that was going on, Alice finished off her turkey – but as Victor was napping, I figured we’d wait until Alice herself was a little hungrier to start calling anyone to dinner. I instead had her clean some more spoiled food out of the fridge to keep her busy, while Smiler amused themselves playing in the mud. I was initially a little annoyed by this – but then, when they came inside looking for a bath, I realized “hey, wait a minute – they only have to take one bath with soaks in order to complete one of the Inner Peace milestones, Seek Relaxation!” So I had them take a fancy bath with lavender foam instead. :p And while they indulged, Marm and Alice both ended up in their room dancing to their Focused music beats, so I had the pair start chatting so they could be friends too. :) They got along quite well, and actually developed a like for the kind of Sims each of them thought the other was – Marm Spirited Sims, and Alice Homebody Sims! So that was nice. :) Anyway, I kept them talking to keep them busy and out of trouble while Smiler, freshly cleaned and lavendered, headed into the attic and got the seed packets and garbage the gnomes had left up there –

Inventing Skill Reimagined by Argus

"To invent, is to be innovative. The Sims 3 Inventing Skill, which came with Ambitions, has a very interesting concept that became rather obsolete with later expansion packs, specially Into the Future.

How I came up with this mod: With the idea and the help of KittyTheSnowcat mod - Inventing Revamp: https://modthesims.info/d/601091/inventing-revamp.html, I was able to update the skill from Ambitions, adding objects that seemed worthy of being an innovative item in the sims world. The Goal, was to make Into the Future blend into our modern-day worlds, without having to buy futuristic objects from the Buy Catalog, which seemed odd to me, and not very lore-friendly.

I've taken KittyTheSnowcat's mod as a base, deleted all Store items from it, recategorized all skill levels for the inventions, changed some scrap requirements, added all original inventions back and fixed some missing items that showed up as undeletable white cubes ingame.

What is this mod? With this mod, inventing starts with simple toys and decoration in the first 2 levels. On level 3, things start to get interesting, since functional objects will begin to be available to be learnt. On level 4, some utility items and on level 5 through 7, the really nice sutff comes up from the future to help your daily routine. On level 8, wackyer inventions will turn your sim into a Mad Scientist, creating food, invading lots and abducting sims and changing the weather. On level 9, Teleportation comes into play, and you'll already be able to charge the new life you'll create. On level 10, you can travel through time and create real Androids. It seemed natural to me that inventing would lead to a new skill (the plumbot making) on its last level, so that's how I did it.

CDK/MoneyMAT: “SimoCoin” & Bonus Recolors

Published: 2-18-2025 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY MoneyMAT is a collection of modified objects for financial operations and storytelling in your game. The series includes functional cash clutter, as well as tools for banking, loans, and investments. #CO2MONEYMAT This is a crossover with the #CO2CDKSERIES. Cubic Dynamics by John B. Cube and Marcel Dusims forged the future with furnishings that were minimalist in design and maximalist in erudite pretension. Generations later, the company continues to produce edge-of-cutting-edge designs. Inspired by the Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies EP (EA/Maxis, 2025), I’ve added the “SimoCoin” currency to Version 2 (V2) of the Cashpointe Set (Simmons, 2024-2025). In addition to coin, bag and sign recolors, there are three new investment items worth §1000, §3,000 and §6000 respectively. The sign recolor uses the “grilled cheese” poster from the Nightlife EP.  These items have been added to the “moneyMat” collection file and use the same trait-based autonomy as the rest of the V2 collection. As a bonus, you also get some additional banking-themed recolors (see pics below).

The Sims 4: Official Laundry List (September 3rd, 2024)

On the day following The Sims 4 tenth anniversary, EA released a list of bug fixes coming on the next patch.

The release date hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s safe to expect it to come out next week, since Laundry Lists are usually shared one week before the update comes to both versions of the game (PC/Mac and consoles).

Welcome to The Sims 4 Laundry List, where we share the top community concerns we’re currently investigating and aim to resolve in an upcoming patch.

As part of our commitment to tackling technical issues, the dedicated team continues to prioritize community-voted fixes with each update. This is our third release in this series, with more planned for the future.

The extended list below is directly informed by which issues have the most community reports through AnswersHQ. There are more topics that have been reported by players that aren’t listed here but may still be in the process of being solved. Some topics can require an extended investigation on our end, so even though these fixes may be in active review, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in the upcoming patch.

With each new patch, please remember to remove any external game mods and custom content if you are experiencing issues as the first step in troubleshooting, as they may conflict with the updates.

[AHQ] When recent neighborhood stories mention a Sim that died in another neighborhood, switching to the respective Sim household will now have an urn present.

[AHQ] Upgrading washer/dryer now completes Nerd Brain aspiration.

[AHQ] Sims will now hold the acarajé dish the right way while eating.

[AHQ] Autonomous check infant no longer causes new random cold weather outfit to be generated for infant.

Infant no longer stretches when crawling in deep snow.

[AHQ] Teen Sim is able to take vacation days while working in the lifeguard career.

[AHQ] Event goal UI will continue to show even after editing from the calendar.

Fixed a CAS flow issue that would incorrectly allow siblings to be engaged.

[AHQ] Teen goal oriented aspiration now gets completed properly after getting promoted at work.

Investigated missing Doodlepip splines.

[AHQ] “Become friends with“ want is no longer observed for sims with relationship equal or above friends.

World icons on the world selection screen will no longer move when middle-clicked.

Locked seed packets are unlocked in BB when using the gardening skill cheat stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening 10.

[AHQ] Female Sims’ stomachs will no longer become invisible when paired with Masculine cargo pants in certain color swatches.

“Likes/Dislikes“ Sim preferences are now available for Sims created via CAS story in CAS mode.

Sim animation will no longer pop when sitting on a stool and asking another Sim an inappropriate question.

Re-fixed issue where Skill List gets out of Alphabetical order, specifically when switching between Sims.

Affecting Multiple Packs

[AHQ] In apartments, University dorms, and penthouses: Walls and doors will now cut away properly in wall down/cutaway viewing mode. Adjusted checks for exterior walls and inactive units.

[AHQ] Vampire scars are no longer observed while creating a genetics-based spell caster Sim, and any scars generated can now be removed (mouth, eye, cheeks and brow details).

[AHQ] Werewolf/Vampire Sims will swap to occult form and vice-versa after the animation instead of before or during.

[AHQ] Nails no longer cause shoulder tears on ‘yfTop_EP08SweaterScarf_Solid’ and ‘ymBody_EF90Djellaba_Solid’ outfits.

Leather Pants no longer overlap with low boots.

Cats & Dogs

[AHQ] Feline friends rejoice!  “Give Catnip Treat” action to cats will no longer cancel.

City Living

[AHQ] Strange wall patches and gaps are no longer visible in Wall Down View in San Myshuno Apartments.

[AHQ] Food stalls in San Myshuno no longer disappear after coming out of CAS and Manage Worlds screens.

[AHQ] Snow no longer appears inside the Planet Honey Pop building.

Cottage Living

[AHQ] Finchwick Fair results notification will stop triggering during Sports Day Competition results.

Crystal Creations

[AHQ] New item highlights on the Accessories tab will properly disappear after checking out the new item(s).

Dine Out

[AHQ] Interactions are now available on culinary pot racks.

Removed instances of duplicate menu items in Restaurants.

[AHQ] Photo of experimental food no longer changes upon adding frame.

Discover University

[AHQ] Sim will return from visiting the law class as a guest speaker–in both judge or private attorney branches–whether through the phone or the building interaction.

[AHQ] Sims without the Active Trait will no longer get trait-related buffs when playing with a soccer ball.

[AHQ] “Contribute Knowledge”  will now satisfy Writing Aspiration on a Research Archive Machine goal counting towards the “Senior Scholar” milestone Academic aspiration.

[AHQ] Servo’s graduation portrait now shows an accurate picture.

Eco Lifestyle

[AHQ] NPC’s will stop stressing you out by constantly making de-stressing decoctions autonomously in the neighborhood or in the active Sim’s lot during Self-Sufficiency N.A.P.

[AHQ] Notifications for a NAP will no longer trigger with the option turned off and will only  send the notification if the Eco Footprint feature is enabled.

[AHQ] Stacking sun rays/aurora will no longer get stuck loading.

[AHQ] Blue void lines are no longer observed in Evergreen Harbor.

For Rent

[AHQ] You can now select and edit wall heights on Residential Rentals without having to delete and replace the walls.

[AHQ] Ownership no longer disappears from objects after “Move Household“.

[AHQ] Kettle and Pressure Cooker no longer randomly disappear from inventory.

[AHQ] The “Do You Be-leaf in Concrete?“ red/orange swatch and green/gray swatch displays properly.

[AHQ] Work From Home Sims in the Handyperson career will be properly paid.

[AHQ] On rental properties, when someone dies you are now given a headstone/urn.

Panya (NPC property owner) visits will count towards the “Have the Property Owner Visit your Unit“ goal for the Discerning Dweller Aspiration.

Lot Traits and Lot Challenges will stay selected for Residential Rental lot units when converted from Residential or Venue lot.

[AHQ] “Venue Funds Transfer” button will no longer appear for community lots.

Able to enter a vacation rental unit by using phone and last exception no longer triggers when loading the save.

When objects are being repossessed the Utility BIlls and Unpaid Taxes will properly update in Bills Info Panel.

Unit Details text will not overlap when hovering on Residential Rental lots in Map View.

When bills are delivered, if you are in another world it will now process utilities correctly.

Get to Work

Lovestruck

[AHQ] Error Code 123 no longer occurs in certain circumstances when traveling to another location.

[AHQ] Error Code 121 no longer occurs when moving in a household for the “Finding Love After a Breakup” Scenario.

[AHQ] Gallery Sims will properly appear in Cupid’s Corner with the pack game option setting set to “enable Gallery Sims”.

[AHQ] Gallery Sims are available again in Cupid’s Corner and the game no longer sometimes infinitely loads when traveling after adding one to your Sim’s contacts.

Lovebug and Romantically Reserved Traits are available as Likes/Dislikes as well as Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs in Create a Sim.

When selecting “Cuddle in Bed” multiple times in a row on a bed, Sims no longer lock up with their arm outstretched.

Flowers given to a Sim will show up in the recipient’s inventory.

Sims will no longer read “Seduction by the Sea” indefinitely.

Sims will no longer stargaze inside when visiting the Rattlesnake Juice Bar in Oasis Springs.

My Wedding Stories

There are new interactions on the wedding arch that will allow you to set which Sims to sit on either side of the aisle.

You will now be able to pick which Sims perform the requested behavior when clicking on the wedding arch and do Ceremony Activities. This will allow greater control of what is happening in the wedding.

After telling guests to do a ceremony activity, they’ll stop doing other things autonomously.

Music specific interaction is now available on the wedding arch in order to control when wedding music plays.

Sims gather around without getting stuck as the wedding couple dances.

Sims will properly perform “Exchange Vows with Officiant and Kiss“ interaction after performing “Gather at the Aisle“ interaction.

[AHQ] You can now sell wedding cakes to local bakers! “Sell to Local Bakery“ action is available now on wedding cakes.

“Take your seats” interaction will no longer show up 3 times.

Looking forward to: Other than the chicken chili I can smell?? The Lies of P DLC! When are they going to announce a release date!? LOP was such an unexpected joy last year, I've been anxiously awaiting the DLC ever since. Who would have thought that "Pinocchio Souls Game" would be so challenging, beautiful, and intriguing. My sim got Fear of Fire, and there were fires CONSTANTLY. Upping her cooking skill didn't help. Once the fire began spontaneously without anyone cooking. Three times it started when she was making waffles, but it wasn't the waffle iron that caught fire - it was the counter next to it?? the waffle iron caught fire later on. and once nothing was burning at all but there was STILL FIRE

and each time there was lag, and one time nothing even burned even after all the flames. also i couldnt extinguish the fire randomly several times because the game said the route was blocked, but other times it worked fine...

I used cheats to get rid of the fear, but still got another fire!!!!!

there is the nothing burning. also what are these black shorts??? i swear i've never seen them before, they seem too risque for sims 4????? oh and another weird thing going on, all the sims in my game are obsesssed with future cubes. i created all those sims and gave none of them future cubes yet suddenly they all have them. ive seen townies playing with them too

last there is my sim preparing her cat for dinner... >3>

Knightstone Household: Chapter 6, Part 4

With Silas finally being a toddler, I can go back to joining Suzanna at work for fun and shenanigans.

Whoops. Looks like Suzanna was trying to sleep in, but early riser Silas does not think that's a good idea. I thought he might wake her up by babbling to her but no, looks like he is going to cry her awake instead.

Suzanna: Starshine are you okay? come have a hug

Silas: Mummy

Since Adam was up he ushers Silas to have breakfast so Suzanna can get ready for work.

Silas: Pop pop sing

Adam: I don't sing, I have no singing skill

Silas: I sing

Adam: Can you eat first dude

Silas: la la ba la la fo de do de do

Adam: Few more handfuls son, come on

Adam is writing his morning column when he hits level 7 writing skill. He is doing an excellent job at work so now that he meets the requirements, will today be a promotion day for him? Silas spends some time playing on the couch then we follow Suzanna to the lab.

Suzanna has random tasks today. After viewing a piece of art she has to do some invention brainstorming and whip up a few serums. Then she needs to mind control workers to change outfits (we choose athletic wear today) and spends most of the afternoon on the microscope.

When Suzanna arrives home it appears Silas has a full hunger bar. This makes it only too easy for him to sing to his parents as they eat.

Adam: Great news, I am now a Chief Critic

Suzanna: Congrats. What does that mean?

Adam: More respect and a higher salary for starters

Something in the lounge/dining/kitchen area is annoying Adams squeamish side but do you think I can find what it is? No.

(Future me here again, pretty sure it's the frogs that are making him squeamish, but we are displaying our collections Adam so deal with it)

So I send him off for a run while Suzanna offers to teach some shapes to Silas. In this moment he levels up socially and can now talk!

If only sims could sit down to teach blocks

Suzanna: That is a cube

Silas: The block is a queue be

Suzanna: Each side of the cube is a square

Silas: A square is a side of the queue be

Suzanna: You got it starshine!

Silas: A queue be has squares

The next morning Silas has some play time in the backyard. Adam has successfully prevented abductions for the day so does some painting.

Silas: Chugga chugga vroom vroom

Adam: Don't run me over son

Silas: Beep beep *pushes horn*

Guess who forgot to fix the plants? Still me. At least Suzanna can finish pretty quickly and get some time in with Silas before work.

Silas: Mummy, give hug

Suzanna: What a wonderful hugger you are

Silas: You the hugger

Suzanna: mwah mwah mwah

Silas: *giggles* mummy funny

Suzanna: Larain? Why are you here?

Larain: They said it was an open day so we thought it would be fun to visit

Suzanna: Just make sure you keep your disguises on, my co workers haven't seen actual aliens before

Larain: But they see you everyday Suzanna: Not looking purple

Larain: Don't worry, we're blending in experts

Suzanna: If you say so. Hey, since you're here, would you mind testing my serum

Larain: No problem, us aliens must stick together

Suzanna: Shh, here comes Faye, total non believer

Larain: I'll be cool. But maybe I'll be cool over there

Faye: Damn tourist days, I'd rather aliens

Suzanna: Really?

Faye: I'm kidding, aliens don't exist

Suzanna: You sure?

Faye: Maybe there could be like space gnomes though

Suzanna: Space gnomes?

Faye: Just think about it, logic tracks, small green men

Suzanna takes some time to study the stars, there's plenty of prints she has yet to unlock. When she heads back downstairs there's just 1 tourist left

Suzanna: Sorry, I forgot your name

M-something: It's okay, I forget my human name all the time

Suzanna: Tell me about it

Suzanna: Were you looked after today

Silas: Pop pop fun, we play

Suzanna: That's great. Can you guess what mummy did today

Silas: Save world

Suzanna: Almost. I talked to some other aliens

Silas: Other aliens?

Suzanna: There's more than just you me and pops here

In the morning Silas has plenty of time playing before he is caught for breakfast

Adam: Slide down son

Silas: Pops, other aliens, how many?

Adam: I don't know

Silas: A zillion?

Adam: More like a dozen

Silas: Dozen?

Adam: Some handfuls here

Silas: Hands full of breakfast?

Suzanna spends her last day of work this week doing the regular tasks. Mix up some serums (with varying results), analyse some fruit, and of course brainstorm for a bit on the invention constructor. Can't forget to mind control the workforce either.

Suzanna manages to get three coworkers into their party outfits. We just ignore the moral implications of mind control I guess?

Faye: Man my party outfit is so comfy

Nalani: I know what you mean

Faye: I just got this urge to change

Nalani: Why shouldn't we have causal Friday?

Suzanna decides to not use her coworkers as test subjects today. She has unlocked a serum called Fixer's Luck that may improve her handiness skill so for accurate results we'll have to drink it ourselves. Bottoms up! Results in three, two one...

Uh oh, science fail. Suzanna now has a sad moodlet titled "Can't fix my heart. My achy breaky heart. This is not the time to be romantic." Why do I find this so funny? Clearly Suzanna will have to step up her serum testing game to find more written gems.

Sad Suzanna decides since she has finished her mandated tasks, she'll spend the afternoon outside the lab. All our digging and we only have 1 new collectable. She checks the alien crater and finds a Blue Slug which she already has, so sends the little guy back to Sixam. If only creatures of her size could be sent back as easily.

Back home and the sad moodlet is still there

Silas: Why you sad mummy?

Suzanna: I had some bad serum

Silas: I'll sing after I finish sand mich

Suzanna: Thank you starshine, that'll help

Silas: I great at help, pops says I charming

Suzanna: You are a little charmer

Silas: You listen mummy

Suzanna: I'm listening

Silas: La la lu la, ru rah ru rah, stars are fun fun, alien fun fun, I a star, la la lu la, ru rah ru rah

Suzanna: Did you make that up all by yourself?

Silas: Yes! I sing star

Suzanna: You are so imaginative starshine

Adam: Did I hear the sound of a superstar

Silas: Pops I sing. Make mummy happy

Adam: Are you okay starlight

Suzanna: I will be, just had a bad serum

Adam: What happened to getting the workforce to test them

Suzanna: I can't give it to them every time, the testing won't register

Adam: Great job making mummy happy my dude. It's always nice to cheer up a sad girl

Suzanna: Or a sad boy

Adam: Right. Boys can get sad to

Silas: I sad after potty accident

Adam: Exactly, and that's okay to be sad about

Suzanna: He needs sleep, can you read a story?

We have arrived at the end of the Knightstone rotation. Silas is now level 2 at potty hooray for being able to try by himself! No pregnancy yet for these two, much to Adam's relief and Suzanna's disappointment, maybe next time we check in with the aliens...

Pleasant Family Rotation 4:

For Angela Pleasant, it was a big day. Prom! She had only been to prom once before with her ex, and was hoping she'd see her new crush around. She showed up to a pre-prom party, and wouldn't you know... Napua was there!

Jaime saw them at the party as she was about to go in, and said,

"Oh, hey Napua! Wanna go to prom? If you're not going with anyone else, that is..."

"Well, it looks like my slot for a date tonight is open, so," they blushed, "Of course!!"

Jaime walked up and held their hands, excited to have a date tonight.

Jaime showed up at prom in her favorite orange dress, and found Napua. She hugged them, and they all went to chat with some of their friends. Then the slow music started, and the pair decided to go Sweetheart Dance together.

As their dance drew to a close, Jaime pulled them closer and whispered,

"You're a good dancer. It makes me wonder if you're a better kisser."

To build the tension, she started to pull away, and walk off now that the music ended. But then, Napua grabbed her hand.

"I... I'd like to think I'm a better kisser than dancer... Do you want to find-"

Before they could even finish their sentence, Jaime pulled them over and kissed them intensely.

After their kiss, they stared at each other breathlessly, shocked by the intensity of their kiss. However, they were soon interrupted by the announcements of the night, where Napua won Prom Jester!

Jaime and Napua went to the pier after prom to keep their date going. Jaime got some ice cream and laughed,

"You know, you're still really cute even with that big jester hat on your head."

"I think that's the most romantic thing anyone's said to me!"

After playing some games at the pier, Napua got a Future Cube. Jaime laughed and said,

"Maybe you should ask the cube if we should date?"

"Good idea! Future cube, should I date Jaime?"

Jaime was giggling as Napua anxiously looked to the cube for an answer.

"It said yes! Yes!!!"

Napua smiled slyly,

"So... The cube said we should date... We can't say no to the cube, right?"

Jaime, laughing, agreed.

"I guess we have no choice!"

The pair took a picture together to commemorate their new relationship.

Future Cube

I don’t know about everyone else, but townies have been obsessed with their future cubes today. For the last hour or so, anyway. 

My current sim has even gotten 2 in the mail (from Strangerville fans), and there may or may not be another in the box for me to collect. Let’s call it Schroedinger’s Cube. 

Anyway, I asked about the future, and the above screenshot is what I got. I don’t think I’ve seen this one before. Anyone else?

Could we be getting another announcement soon? Usually I see things like this from @thesims4blogger...?
