This mod spawns weeds on home lots for sims to tend.
This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.
Requirements
This mod requires The Sims 3: Seasons and The Sims 3: University Life.
Overview

Weed Spawning
At 10:00am every day, there is a 10% chance that between 5 and 20 weeds will spawn on a sim’s home lot. 
For each weed spawned, there is also a chance that common insects will spawn with them.

Sims will get the custom Overgrown moodlet if they go outside and there are weeds present on their lot. This moodlet will go away once all of the weeds are removed.
Neat, Snob, Perfectionist, and Hates the Outdoors sims will be more affected by weeds than other sims.
Slob and Loves the Outdoors sims will be less affected by weeds than other sims.
After 4 days, if there are more than 5 weeds on a home lot, the Neighborhood Homeowners Association will give your household a warning. If the weeds are not removed within 24 hours following the warning, the household will be fined §150 (tunable).
If there are more than 20 weeds on a lot at one time, additional weeds won’t spawn until some of the existing ones are removed.
Note: Weeds will not spawn on home lots with Public Room Markers (ex: high-rise apartments).
Weed Removal
There are two methods for getting rid of weeds: removing and spraying.

Remove Weeds
Weeds can be removed from a lot one at a time with the “Remove Weed” interaction.
Sims with the Loves the Outdoors, Green Thumb, Excitable, and Easily Impressed traits will get a custom Fresh Grass positive moodlet when removing weeds.
Sims at least Level 1 in the Gardening Skill will get a skill bump from removing weeds.
The “Tend Lawn” interaction on weeds queues a sim to remove all weeds present on a lot, similar to the "Tend Garden" interaction for plants.
However, removing weeds this way has a high chance of triggering a sim's allergies and giving them the Allergy Haze moodlet.
Spray Weeds
Alternatively, sims can use the “Spray Weeds” interaction to remove up to 10 weeds at a time.
This weed removal method has a 30% chance of turning your sim into a PlantSim, similar to The Sims 2: Seasons.

Overgrown: Given when weeds spawn on a sim’s home lot, lasts until all weeds are removed from, -15 mood
Fresh Grass: Given when a sim with the Loves the Outdoors, Green Thumb, Excitable, or Easily Impressed trait removes a weed, lasts 1 hour, +10 mood

All of the tunable values can be found on the mod download page under the header “Tuning.”

WARNING: Malicious Sims 4 Script Mods
A third case of the same malicious script mod has been found in "Cheat Menu" mods cleared by MSQSims but "updated" after Feb. 5, 2024, on her own The Sims Resource page. Do not download any MSQSims mods until this is resolved — other mods may also have been reupdated with malicious files. Please see "What to Do" below for steps to take.
FALLOUT: Updated and cleared mod news will be delayed.
When it returns in full, it will likely require new information.
BACKGROUND
Beginning in mid January 2024, someone began uploading versions of Sims 4 script mods including hidden malicious .exe code. These files appear to be from known or new creators and have been found on three different sites. In one case, a modder's own site was used. All MUST be deleted and a virus scan run.
(Mac users: The .exe included in the malicious mod will not run on a Mac, but you may get an LE.)
Known Cases
Someone claiming to be PimpMySims4 uploaded a mod claiming to be an updated Cult Mod to Mod the Sims.

MSQSims Cheat Menu mods on her own account at TheSimsResource
What to Do
Delete these files: Social Events.package and Social Events.ts4script.
Delete all recent MSQSims files
Run a virus scan, and see the Curseforge Github fix.
What's Changing
Curseforge will be adding new prevention measures for testing file submissions on their site.
Updated and cleared mod news is delayed. When it returns in full (at least at AHQ), it will likely have new features.

A Sims 4 MCCommand Center Config File.

This guide aims to assist those who have difficulty understanding how the MCCommand mod works. This post is essentially a guide to the no-random-townies and settings I use in my game, as well as MCC. This configuration file serves as your all-in-one download for creating the perfect Sims 4 world. With this file, you'll have no random townies, Sims imported from your gallery, and various mini filters that enhance the game's experience! More under the cut.
So, what can you expect from these settings?
No Random Townies:
With MCC, you can import Sims directly from your library! What does this mean? It means that every Sim the game spawns will come from your saved households in the gallery.
Firstly, how do we get there in-game?
Place down a computer, select it, and you're greeted by this menu:

This is how we start with not having random townies.

The Import Tray Sim Percent determines how the game randomly generates Sims from the player's library. The higher the percent, the more sims it generates! In my settings, I use 100%. Meaning all sims that spawn in my game come from my saved library.
The Import Tray Sim Type determines exactly what Sims it's importing. In my settings, I use the Any saved Sim, so all Sims come from my library.
The Limit Import by Tags determines which Sims to allow or exclude from your game. Makes sense, right? Keep in mind that you can only select one of these tags at a time! I recommend using the "#MCC_BYPASS" tag, which is also the setting included in the downloadable config file. Why? It's simpler to decide which Sims you don’t want to spawn, rather than individually tagging the ones you do want.

Include Gender Options determines that whatever gender you set your sim as, it transfers.
Include Clothing determines that the clothes you originally saved your sim in are the clothes they spawn with.
Import Sim Name determines that when a sim spawns that only one sim with that name is put into your world, no more duplicates!
Import Bypass Apperance determines that the apperance and physique set by you or whoever made the sims stay the way it was saved.
**(WARNING)** You must have households saved in your gallery for Sims to spawn. Please ensure you have 100-150 Sims created there before downloading this config file!
Why is this necessary? If you don’t have any Sims in your saved households, the game won't be able to spawn them.

Game Time Speeds
This slows or speeds up your game clock. I have mine set to 45, meaning it moves 45 seconds slower a minute. Makes for longer days.

Anytime you load on a new lot, aka "zone," the game will be automatically paused.

Allow Teen Parenting
This allows your Teen sims to unlock the parenting skill.

Auto Save
Exactly like it sounds, the game autosaves every real human hour. This has saved me more times than I can count.

Deletion of Townies
Deletion of townies should be used to completely remove every sim from your game! Including Pets, occults, and or NPC Sims (Do this at your own risk; deleting NPCS means you have to replace them) if you're feeling like it! This is not a setting but a tip. If you download my config file, this does not transfer!

How do I get these settings?
I’d say downloading the mod is your first step! Download the MCCommand Mod Here:
Then, Open your game and make sure your script mods are enabled:

Next, place the unzipped mod into the 'mods' folder. Clear your cache, then start the game. Make sure to load fully into a household before saving and exiting.

Reopen your game, and you should see this if installed correctly.

Finally, after downloading MCCC and launching and closing your Sims 4 game, open the folder where the mod is located. Inside, you will find various files. The file you need to focus on is:

Go ahead and delete the current one and replace it with my version. When you next load the game, my settings will be applied. And that's it! Super easy.

this was apart of my sims post but it was marked mature, this is not mature content. i had to separate but im not deleting because i typed too much:
generational sims 2 run right now… this game is so detailed and extremely easy to enjoy… i know i love the sims 3 but after giving sims 2 the try, i can totally tell why the geeks flip over the sims 4 being carbon bullshit. the UI is on its own level alone… im trying to heir some generations out to accomplish the 7 aspirations (compared to 50+ detailed lifetime wishes given in sims 3 and all those life time goal bullshits in sims 4, it’s a bit quicker to lock in and explore 7). but the 7 are so different, cause they dont function as ive always known them to be. lifetime wishes and aspirations have set goals your sims complete over their life time to be granted a huge amount of aspiration points, which they can buy something super beneficiary. in the sims 2, your sim chooses more of a lifestyle. which of the 7 aspirations - family, fame, romance, science, sports… - will your sim live by. they have to complete their wants to fill up their gold bar, and when it’s almost full, the shit they buy with their aspiration points works better. like if its to the max the money tree they bought will give them 500 instead of 1, or the magic baby formula machine will grant skill boosting to babies and not instant wet diapers… it is similar to the system of karma and how it works for you, on ur life path. like whats bad to another person isnt necessarily bad for you or wont throw you off like it would another. after i complete these aspirations, i might be sick to find out i prefer sims 2. sims 3 has been my girl since the second grade, i kid you fucking not. endless gameplay but its gotten so boring since i graduated. i prefer drug pimp and murder mods on the sims 4 from time to time now. game changer. thats cause the sims 4 is dog shit by itself and people are amazing nerds who can code whatever they put their mind to. yes im pimping out my squid game sims. twerk for me. but there’s no such thing close to that, the sims 2 is so old it doesnt even stretch my laptop screen. no mod thats similar in sight. i actually cant even download a script mod without my game trying to warn me it might be a virus (its an average working mod that removes, fixes a shadow, or speeds a cycle). whatever. rambled too much. this is what my free time looks like right now.

Your sims posts almost make me want to boot up the sims 4 again. Then I think about all the mods I'll have to update and decide against it
ok real. we installed like one script mod ever (wonderfulwhims) and given our extremely inconsistent playstyle we just kind of. ignored the WARNING! PLEASE UPDATE text that came up every few months and then when the error message stopped deleting text we gave up and deleted the mod entirely. so that is about what we think of script mods

Coding in assembly is fantastically efficient but I don't get the "run on most machines" part there. If anything, the reason scripting languages got so popular for gaming was that the abstraction let them run on most machines, at the cost of slowing everything down and making it less stable. There was always a push to upgrade to be able to play the newer games. Mind you, the problem was that the older games became harder to play. Space invaders, for example, relied on the load on the cpu to slow everything down. The enemy got faster as you reduced the numbers of things it had to deal with, not because it was coded to go faster. I bought Age of Mythology, Extended Edition, recently. It was unplayable. Why? Because when they remastered it, they didn't think to throttle it down for modern hardware. The sad thing is I used to use Dosbox a lot to play older games, which emulated the early operating system environment, and it let you throttle the speeds way down. That is good to get new players a feel of the game, but it also benefits older/disabled players, who can have a lot of trouble with the newer titles.
But yes, the ability to play demos of games is amazing and it is sad that now everyone pays in advance, and then you get a torrent of complains on launch. Starfield has had scathing reviews, but the pre-orders were enormous, so it doesn't matter if it is dull. It has already made the money. The worst example was Fallout 76. That sold on the reputation of earlier titles but it was a bloody mess on launch, and there was no real warning from early players. Same happened with another procedurally generated Starfield type game. Endless hours of tedium. I can't even remember its name. Huge hype, gets released, people get to see that the giant golden mountain is just tinfoil covered in a thin coat of paint. But yeah I play fallout 4 a lot, and I keep track of the way it uses system resources. It crashes a lot, but I can see it's not really putting much of a load on the system, except when it suddenly decides to overload the gpu when zoning. The explanation for why it behaved so poorly was that it was made for console, the pc port was an afterthought, and they couldn't be stuffed fixing bugs. Ever. Sims 4 had TWO LAYERS of DRM, to stop you from playing it if they decided you shouldn't because you voted for Trump or was a straight white male or whatever. You had to authenticate through Steam, then their own proprietary software, to play you single player game on your hardware. It would fail at weird moments, or tell you it had deleted your files because you must be pirating stuff or something. I never did, and it never told me what it was deleting. It would also randomly break mods, and it turned out on of the reasons was that it would download the expansions regardless of whether you paid for them, but lock out access. Mods worked by relying on knowing what they were linked to, and for them to stupidly assume every player would buy every expansion was idiotic beyond belief, and it robbed the online library of usefulness, because anything built in the past would be broken automatically. You couldn't simply filter the houses for ones that were compatible. You were supposed to buy every damn thing, and you were supposed to only use every new thing, and I noticed a lot of long running youtubers were looking to jump ship to a competitor the second one became available. People would do play-throughs from the earlier games in the sims series to show just how much better they were AS GAMES, so long as you ignore the dated graphics. But yeah, the recent debacle about Az and Starfield shows why I am incredibly wary of all the new games.

Hello! I was wondering, how long does it usually take for the “Sort CAS CC Alphabetically” script to start organizing your cc? When I try using it, it’s always stuck processing the first file for a really long time. I can’t tell if it’s just supposed to take a long time or if it’s just frozen and there’s a problem :/
Heya! Unfortunately, I've never had that problem; it should start working almost immediately if it's all set up properly.
It sounds like you're not the only person with this issue, though; there are some folks in the comments section of the Utility's MTS page that mention the same thing. Unfortunately, the original poster hasn't responded since those comments were made, so I'm not sure how to help you out here. :(
I'll put a tutorial, some thoughts, and my general use-cases for this utility under the cut, hopefully this will help some people out! (It's likely to be very long and rambly, so be warned! I'll try to make it as easy to understand as possible, however!)
If you're having trouble making the "Sort Custom Content in CAS Alphabetically" Utility by barteke22 work, read on!
First of all, you need to download AutoHotKey; the utility won't function without it.
Then you need to unzip the "SortCAS_AHK_V2.2.zip" download and place the folder in a safe place (I have it in my documents folder with all my other Sims 4 Modding Programs/Utilities/Tools).
Next you need to open the SortCAS 2.2.ahk file by right clicking on it and choosing "Open with… > Notepad" (or whichever simple text editor you prefer).

When you open it for the first time, you need to configure it, so the utility can find the folders and programs it needs. Look below:

(Feel free to enlarge, then right click on the image and open in a new tab to see a larger res version. This goes for all other images in this post.)
So what you're looking at is the .ahk file open in a text editor (in my case, notepad). The Configure section is clearly marked by the dotted lines.
You'll need to replace the "FolderPath" with the path to folder you want to sort (In the image above it's set to sort my "Eyelashes" folder). Be sure to read the notes right next to it: The folder path must end with a backslash(\) for the utility to work properly.
You can easily copy & paste the path to the folder you need by opening it and right clicking on the address bar at the top of the window, and selecting "Copy address as text".

Just paste it in that section, replacing what was already there. Make sure it ends with a backslash(\), and make sure you don't remove any spaces before or after the Folder Path.
You'll need to do the same for your CASTools.exe file location, just below where you edited your folder path.
If all you're doing is sorting one big folder per CAS category, you're all set! Just place that folder path in the "FolderPath" line and you're golden.

However, if you're like me, and you have a bazillion extra subfolders for one CAS category, like a separate subfolder for every different CC hair creator, you'll want to move on to the next step: Editing the orderCAS number.
Scroll down in the .ahk document in Notepad until you find this line:

(You can find it more easily if you Ctrl+F and type in "orderCAS".)
This is the number you want to change to get unique CAS sort numbers in your various folders. If you don't change this number, the utility will give every folder you sort with it the same sort numbers as all the others.
If two CAS items have the same sort numbers, they'll appear randomly near each other. So if all your hundreds of CC have the same sort numbers 0.001-0.052, then all the items with the same numbers will group together randomly; it'll be the same kind of chaos in-game as before you ran the utility.
So! To make sure the numbers don't overlap in the same category, you need to change this setting, giving each folder it's own set of numbers.
To make it easier on myself, I created a .txt file with the names of my subfolders, and the numbers I've given them to serve as a handy reference. Here's an example:

(These numbers refer to hairs; Female T-E hair, Female Child hair, etc. These are how they're organized in my mods folder.)
So I assign each folder it's own unique sorting number, and make sure to change the "orderCAS" value to that number before running the utility when I want to sort that folder.
[Please disregard the number of digits after the decimal point in my reference; my programmer husband helped me edit the .ahk file to give me more digits with which to sort to. The original .ahk file will only sort to three digits past the decimal, hence the starting value of "0.001". Try not to use any more digits than that, as the program will not sort to that degree of granularity.]
Make sure you save the file after you edit any of it! (And make sure it still saves as a .ahk file, not a .txt!)

So! You've got it all set up and all the numbers filled in… then what happens? How does it actually work?
It will first remind you that your mouse will be blocked while the utility is running, and also that F9 will allow you to stop the utility and gain control of your mouse at any time.
It will then bring up a progress bar window while in the background it opens CASTools to start sorting your files. If everything's been set up correctly, it should then start working.
The utility works by taking control of your computer's mouse for a while, and doing all the opening, clicking, changing values, and saving for you. It does that by using pixel coordinates; it moves your cursor to the right spot in the CASTools.exe window using the coordinates, clicks to activate that point (such as the "Order in CAS" box in CASTools), enters the sort number, moves the cursor to the "Commit Changes" button, clicks, then to the "Save" button, clicks, then back up to the "Select" button at the top to click and open the next package file in the folder to do it all over again.
So it does make your computer unusable, because it takes control of your mouse, so you can't do anything while the program runs. If you ever need to stop it for whatever reason (whether you need your computer again, it freezes, or it comes across an error it can't move past), you may do so by pressing F9 (or Fn+F9, however your keyboard is set up). This will immediately stop the script and it will ask you if you want to continue; click "No" to exit. (I don't think there's any point this program can stop that will harm any of your package files, so don't be afraid of doing it if you need to!)
If it freezes at the "Processing File 1 of XX…" dialogue with nothing happening in the background, I'm unsure how to help you, other than to make sure all the set-up is correct and try again. Download a fresh .ahk file if you need to to make sure you haven't accidentally changed anything you weren't supposed to.
(If you still can't get it progress at this point, send me another ask/message with as much detail as you can about the problem, maybe with a link to the copy of the .ahk file you're working with, and I'll do what I can to help you troubleshoot! Keep in mind, I am not an expert, so I might be just as confused as you are. ^^; )
So with all of this, the utility still might not work perfectly, and this is because of the nature of Sims 4 CC: over the course of many years of development, and many different creators, and many different standards for how CC is made, some of the files you open, especially older files, might throw errors in CASTools. In my experience the most common one is a "FlagValue" Error:

The Sims 4 has updated and changed so much over the years, adding more and more features, that sometimes old .package files just doesn't have the information the game wants, such as proper Occult tags for later expansion packs.
This is what the CASTools window looks like when you open a package in it:

See that list of Property Flags in grey on the left? Sometimes the "Flag Value" will have a bonkers thing listed in it: the one I saw all the time was "*High Chair*" under an "OccultAllowedForRandom" flag. 🤨 This is the result of old CC using outdated flags that now point to something different in the game (I'm not entirely sure of the mechanism here), and CASTools does not like it.

If the .ahk utility opens an old package file in CASTools with this issue, CASTools will throw up an error about an improper flag value or something. The .ahk utility is not set up to deal with these kinds of errors, so it will stop and be unable to continue if it encounters one.
The only way I've found to fix this is to edit the package manually to fix the cause of the error before proceeding. Press F9 (or Fn+F9) to stop the utility, click "No" in the dialogue box that opens to close it completely, and edit the improper Flag Value in CASTools manually to something that won't make CASTools scream. (If it's an "OccultAllowedForRandom" flag the right one will probably be one of: Mermaid, Vampire, or Witch. Choose whichever one isn't already covered by the other flags.) Depending on the error CASTools throws that makes the .ahk utility pause, it may be a different fix; use your best judgement for how to proceed!
Once you've made the edit, click "Commit Changes", then "Save Package" to save it, then exit CASTools. After that, return to the .ahk utility to run it again. It will probably ask you if you want to skip already sorted files; choose whichever option you prefer.
Hopefully, it'll get to that file in the list and sort it successfully with no errors this time. X)
Because the Sort Utility is such a basic, hacky sort of thing, it's not set up to deal with the wide range of errors possible in the years of Sims 4 CC making and game updates. It's smart enough to click "ok" past "Missing Mesh" errors and the like in CASTools, but some other errors that require manual intervention will need just that before the program can sort them correctly.
You'll also need to pay attention to the resolution info in the description of the original MTS post: Because it uses mouse coordinates to work, it can only work with a certain screen resolution, otherwise the pixel coordinates will be off. Make sure your resolution is 1920x1080 (and that your taskbar is at the BOTTOM of your screen) before running the utility; otherwise the mouse clicks will be off, and it's not likely to do anything it was meant to.
[If you have the knowledge you can edit the .ahk file to suit your own screen resolution, but it will require changing the mouse coordinates to whatever matches what appears on your screen. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out if you have the time/ability to learn and suss it out, but I won't be able to help you with it. ^^;]
Man, this sounds like such a lot of faff… honestly, though, it's not that much work. You edit the Folder and CASTools paths in the Config section, you put in the numbers you want it to sort to, then you run it. That's it. If everything's working fine it should do all the work for you.
It does help to have an idea of what it's doing, though, so you can more easily diagnose problems. It took me a little bit of trial and error to get it working the first time around. Make sure you read all the instructions on the original download page and in the .ahk file carefully and it should work out.
Again, you're still having problems, feel free to send me an ask with as many details as you can about your error, and I'll see if I can help! But as I say above, I am not an expert, so I may not be able to do any more than what I've said here. X)
Anyway, this utility has saved me SO MUCH WORK, and made my game SO MUCH MORE organized since I started using it, so I think it's incredibly useful and valuable for anyone who cares about such things. Good luck, take care, and happy simming! <3

(If there is one thing that bugs me it is when The Sims have NPC's in careers that don't actually exist in game so when you marry one and move them in they become jobless. Well I decided to make one of them careers because I liked the thought of my famous sim's husband to be the paparazzi =D.)

We don't really care about the notable newcomers so just chill in your car and snap a few picks if they happen to pass by you.
Level 2 - Rising Star Spotter
These rising stars will go anywhere to be spotted for a picture, so buy some comfy shoes and hit the streets!
Level 3 - B-Lister Follower
Now you are finding the celebrity's people are starting to care about! Stay in their tracks and get that photo!
Level 4 - Proper Celebrity Stalker
Restraining orders can't stop you now, you just need to find more creative ways to grab their most candid moments.
Level 5 - Global Superstar Finder
You're in the big leagues now kid, but be warned these celebs like to hide so be prepared to stand outside of restaurants for hours waiting for that one picture.

If you’re already aware of how to install the Sims 4 mods, you can pretty much control all the aspects of the lives of the Sims 4 characters. There are many other types of Sims 4 custom content which includes players created lots. There are many steps in walled as well which holds extra features such as careers, traits, sim animations, etc.
How Can Your Receive Custom Content for Sims 4
Again, make sure script mods are enabled in game. To prepare for installation of this mod, you will need to head over to Sims 4 Studio and download Teleport Any Sim. Once you have downloaded the.zip file, educate yourself about the mod by reading their functionality intro to the mod. Installing Teleport Any Sim. Open the Mods folder (it should have a resource.cfg file in it). Now, every time you want to add a new mod, just drag it into this “Mods” folder. When you open The Sims, you should get a popup with a list of all the mods you have installed. If you have downloaded any script mods, then make sure to enable them in your in-game settings.
You can usually download scripts, mods so, other custom content for The Sims 4 from an array of websites. Many such websites are:
Try moving the Documents -Electronic Arts- Sims 4- options or options.ini file to the desktop. Start the game, go to game options and enable cc/mods and script mods. Reload the game, and see if you can then use both cc and script mods.

Go to the folder where your download the rar and extract the files on the following path C: This PC/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods Open The Sims 4, go to Game Options and enable Custom Contents, Mods and Script Mods. Restart your game and you will be ready to go. It all started with the major update earlier in the year where the game disabled all mods. I go onto the game and it comes up with the standard dialogue 'Mods have been disabled' 'EA does not support Mods' 're-enable mods through the options', so I go to options, re-enable mods, apply the changes, restart the game, but when I load up to the main menu it comes up with the same dial.

The customize content usually comes in a compressed form such as RAR or ZIP file. You can easily extract and move to specific folders in the Sims 4 game files. After that, these mods have different extensions which include the following:
.package, .ts4script, .bpi, .blueprint, and .trayitem.
All the custom content can be accessed in several ways. For example, you can generally use various modern tools such as the MC command center. This will help you in allowing all the variables down by editing and dictating the behavior of the individual sims. So, whenever you click an object, you will see an MC command center as a new option listed there.
How to Add Mods to Sims 4?
Before you go on downloading and installing mods for The Sims 4, make sure that you download the latest updates along with the patches:
1. Launch the Origin digital store and select Game Library.
2. Right-click The Sims 4 and select Update game.
3. Launch the game and select the Options Menu icon in the top-right corner.
4. Select Game Options.
5. Select the Other tab on the left side of the Game Options window.
6. Select the boxes beside Enable Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed.
Tip: This will be helpful for you as you can come back to the menu at any time. You can easily select the view custom content and view the mods that have already been installed.
7. Select the checkmark to acknowledge the warning about using mods.
8.. Select Apply Changes and close the game.
Note: Meanwhile, you need to repeat all the steps from 1 to 8 and there will be a new patch that will be released.
9. Open The Sims 4 game folder on your computer (it saves to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 by default), then open the folder containing your custom content in a separate window. Drag-and-drop all .package or .ts4script files into the Mods folder, and move files ending in other extensions into the Tray folder.
10. The custom content will be available the next time you start the game. To remove custom content, delete the files from the Mods and Tray folders.
Tip: Before you delete any file, always create a backup of the Save folder within the Sims 4 folder. Always remember that’s the first thing that you must do in case, something goes wrong.

How to Use Custom Lots in Sims 4?
There are many custom laws that should be stored in the tray folder within The Sims 4 folder. In order to view your custom lots:
1. Launch The Sims 4 and select the Gallery icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select My Library at the top.
3. Select Include Custom Content in the left pane.
4. Select your custom lot to view its details.

If the mod doesn’t work or if you face any issues with the experience or the installation of the customized content, you may try the following things:
1. Check that custom content files are in the correct folders. Those files that end with .ts4script or .package go to the Mods folder. Other files that end in .blueprint, .bpi, or .trayitem that is placed in the Tray folder. Instead, the other files that end with .zip or .rar won’t be able to access or operate.
2. Check that custom content is enabled in your game settings.
3. See if there are any new updates available for your mods. The Sims VIP website has a list of broken mods.
4. Rename your mod files. There can be various issues that occur when these files have special characters like #, $, or @. Rename files to remove these characters if necessary.
5. Delete the game cache. You can go to the Sims 4 folder on your devices such as a laptop or computer. Delete that file which is named from ‘localthumbscache.package’. After this, you may also delete the contents of other cache and cache folders but do not delete the actual folders themselves.
6. If you see a folder named onlinethumbnailcache, it’s safe to delete the entire folder.
7. Repair the game. You need to head to the Game Library after this in the origin and do the right click on that game. After this, you may select the Repair to reinstall The Sims 4.

Hello! I just have a tiny question. I really want to download the New Turn Ons mod, but the only ones I want are rich and poor. I don't want the alien replacing custom hair option. could you adviseme on how to go about removing that bit of it? thanks!
Hi! First of all be warned the custom hair option is broken, sims with natural hair colors which dye their hair to something unbinned will still have their original hair color for attraction purposes. Also sims with genetically unbinned hair who dye their hair to a natural color and later switch back (so, say, they can use a correlated werewolf skin) also lose their custom hair for attraction purposes and are treated as still having the natural color they had previously. Basically, if a sim ever has a hair color that isn’t custom & unbinned, the most recent natural hair color they have is what they have as far as attraction is concerned. So if you don’t have any sims who have custom unbinned hair their entire lives be warned the custom hair TO will be useless.
To make this edit go into the Lua Script STR#, select the one line there, and use the arrow by the description box to pop out the description in its own window. There you can find a line containing “(cNeighbor:getOutfitProperty(Y, 1) == 6)“ and another containing "(cNeighbor:getOutfitProperty(Y, 2) == 7)”. Remove these lines, they are setting the alien TO. Then find the lines:

PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION This mod adds new functionality to the game and shouldn't conflict with anything. Confessing to Sims Confessing to a Sim only takes a click, there are various outcomes: positive, negative and neutral. If you get a negative or neutral response, two new options will unlock: "Tell you were joking" and "reassure about vampires". While Sims that gave you a positive response will have a positive opinion about vampires right away, the outcome of these two interactions will decide the opinion of the sims who gave you a neutral one, and you can pick only one, or leave things as they are. Negative responses bring to a negative opinion, if the outcome of one of the two followin interactions is positive, though, you can flip your interlocutor opinion on vampires. Confessing to family Tell to family members is another story... The interaction will not bring any gain or loss in the relationship, it will only give a 24h long moodlet to the family member, after the time will be over, their mood will change to warn you that they made up their mind about it... at this point, you will get two new interaction "Accept as a vampire" or "Reject as a vampire". Obviously, the first one will give a positive opinion on vampires to the performer, and the second one a negative opinion. The reaction to your confession is influenced by previous interactions with vampires on the family member part, meaning: if they already have an opinion on vampires or not. This mod adds the possibility for vampires to tell other people about themselves. Under the friendly category you will find a new interaction, available for vampires only "Confess to be a Vampire". Confessing to someone can bring different results and consequences both for you and for them. There are various outcomes based on your listener traits, mood, relationship, if or not they already know about vampires, and the opinion they have on them. Based on the outcome of your confession, they will form an opinion that can be neutral, positive or negative. Sims with a negative opinion on vampires will get a two new interactions: "Warn about vampires" and "Accuse to be a Vampire", by performing these interaction, they have the chance to become vampire hunters, more on this later. All the Sims they will tell about vampires will form a negative opinion on them, and will get tense around known vampires. Vampires too will get tense around Sims who knows their secret, all but the ones that are trusted by someone. If someone forms a positive opinion on you through a positive reaction to a confession, new interactions will unlock for them: they will have the possibility to "Ask if Vampire" to other sims, "Ask Opinion on Vampires" to other sims, that will unlock the option to "Reassure about vampires" if their opinion is bad or neutral or "Reassure about humans" vampires. These interaction have the chance to change people opinion on vampires. Trusted vampires will unlock new interactions with humans and with other vampires, they will have the ability "Ask Opinion on Vampires" to other sims, that will unlock the option to "Reassure about vampires" if their opinion is bad or neutral, "Reassure about humans" to other vampires and "Talk things Through" with Sims with a negative opinion on them, thus changing those Sims mind about Vampires. All the vampires will unlock the ability to fight vampire hunters right away. Vampire hunter is a status a Sim with a negative opinion on vampires can obtain by warning others about vampires or accusing (and succeed at it) other Sims of being vampires. They will unlock the ability to fight vampires right away. All the vampires will get tense around vampire hunters. Vampire hunters will get angry around vampires, and confident around other vampire hunters. This mod also add a small chance for sims to be instinctively afraid of vampires, it's random and will get them a small tense mood around vampires.

FAQ - quick find
Where do I find deals for The Sims 4?
CDKeys & Instant Gaming are the trusted sites that I always use for new releases or just updating my collection. They often do major bundles extremely cheap. 
How do I install CC and Mods?
See here for a great how to.
What does alpha/maxis match mean?
Alpha is defined as realistic. Alpha requires that you change your game settings. For hair, you must have sim detail on very high. For buy items, you will also need your other settings on high. For all alpha, you MUST have laptop mode off.
Maxis Match is styled on the game and matches it perfectly. MM does not require any settings changes (usually).
Why does my alpha hair look funny?
Probably because you didn’t read and follow instructions. Turn off laptop mode and set sim settings to very high. Due to polycount, you will have errors in how it shows until you do.
Why does my sim show up as question marks?
Broken and outdated CC will cause this issue. If you are seeing it in CAS, fiddle around and see which category it comes from. It’ll help you narrow down the search in your mods folder so you can delete it later.
Where can I get eyelashes?
Maxis Match lashes
Kijiko lashes (lashes everyone seems to use)
PBJ lashes
Can I trust ____ site?
Wix: Wouldn’t suggest it. Usually creators who use wix end up bogging down pages with ads and hidden codes that will cause you problems or put in tracking cookies that go with the ads. Even if you put in a no ads extension, you will likely experience annoyances in speed. Maybe I’m just impatient.
Pateron: Yes and no. We’ll get to the legal jaron later. Overall, Pateron is a safe place to allow downloads, just be aware that some creators keep everything behind a paywall and some just use the site to upload with no paywalls.
Adfly: No. No. No. Do not ever trust or use adfly links. They’re dangerous to your computer. This goes hand in hand with Wix sites. Many creators only use Wix to include their adfly. These are not trustworthy. You can get some extensions to get out of using adfly but they do not always work and you might end up with a virus being forcefully installed to your computer.
The Sims Resource (TSR):  Yes but make sure you have an adblocker AND a time skipper. TSR Freeium currently doesn’t fully work but you can also get that to help with some of the issues. 
Mod The Sims: Yes but be aware that a lot of mods do not get updated on the reg. It’s been mostly abandoned.
Sim Studio:  Yes but again, watch for adfly. Not all creators use it but some do. It will vary by creator.
Simfileshare: Yes, this used to be how everyone uploaded. Some people still use and some don’t. You shouldn’t have any issues besides sometimes it’s just down.
Sims 4 Mods: Yes, no problems.
Around The Sims:  Yes, no problems.
Simsdom: Ok so there’s a lot of debate here. It’s a yes but also a no. 1) They link outside sources to their page but make you sit through an ad time. 2) They’re ad crazy 3) they do not show all results unless you pay them. I don’t recommend using them. They are mainly just for alpha and most of the creators on the site are actually known in the community for being shitty about adfly, paywalls, uploading incomplete items (and making you pay for them), uploading items they didn’t make, and harassing people in the community. SO I’ll say no.
Paysites Must Be Destroyed: YES, a thousand times yes. This site uploads pay content. Pay content is not allowed by EA’s TOU due to the fact that creators use their work. Basically, you aren’t legally able to profit off of making items for the game. This site is here to make it so creators who require payment for items can’t keep requiring it. The site has been up since Sims 2 days. Creators have tried to sue but the site has been backed by EA, I guess because well, it’s still up and kicking. 
LoversLab: Yes, this is an ADULT website. Please don’t go to it if you’re not 18+. This is where you can find Wicked Whims.
DerShayan: Yes! You can find super nice maps for the game here and you will experience no issues with the site.
SimRealist: Yes, they currently have a couple of mods to include one for funerals, banking, and health care.
Basemental: Yes, also another 18+. You can get something better than juice and some drugs for your game, if that’s what you’re into. I do think it’s only fair to include a warning that if you do get the drug mod, you can end up with a sim having cancer. 
Marigold: Yes and no. This is all alpha. It’s not the best quality. The creator uses adfly. What you see on the page is not what it looks like. It’s one of those catfish sites.
KKB: Yes and no. This is mainly all alpha and fairly good quality but be advised there is adfly and no just adfly, but multiple adfly links linked to each other. Half the time, you will not get to the download page because of the amount of adfly used.
Sacrifical: Yes. Be advised that these mods are very heavy and will slow down your game. Your game will be very slow to load if you have any of these in basically because it comes with animations plus new scripts. It’s just very heavy.
What are some tumblrs that have MM content?
@maxismatchccworld is the best known. They do post about early access aka items not available unless you pay but they do not post anything behind adfly.
@simblrdirect has an amazing list of creators that you can find here.
@ts4ccdirectory also has a large list of creators here.
@peacemaker-ic is the place you want to go for build/buy, without a doubt.
@illogicalsims also has amazing build buy.
@candysims4 has CAS items. Some are early access so please aware of that.

The reason I am updating my above posts and adding new information is because I joined a Facebook group and I see that a lot of people are clueless about how to use custom content so this post is for the newbie to the average Sims 4 user who might not know this info I am providing. I do not think I am a pro by any means. I just want to help those who might not know as much as me. If you know more feel free to comment or pm me info so I may add it to the post.

As a disclaimer, I will be talking about a wide variety of tips. I will be providing my own personal experiences, but I will also be providing strickly information that can pertain to how and where to download certain custom content. For example how to get Early Pateron releases for free. I am not writing about that topic to anger any of the early Pateron creators. I respect them and I myself support some of them monetarily. I am only writing about it to provide more information for my Followers and those who read this post. What you do with the information I provide you is up to you. I am only putting it into one post when the information is already out there.
Tip #1 How to organize your Custom Content.
The better you organize your custom content the easier it is to go through it when you need to, to clean it out or update it. I know a lot of people think that this is just a pain in the butt and it can be, but it will save you a lot of grief in the future. 
Here is a photo of how I have my Mods folder set up. You can set yours up however you want. This is just how it helps me stay organized.

Not all of the folders have more folders in them. The makeup folder does have more folders and so do the Accessories. They only go one more folder through max.
Please note do not go more than 3 folders deep for Script Mods and I recommend not to for regular cc as well. The Sims 4 can only see scripts no more than 3 folders deep. That is why I have my modders I have a lot of stuff from in their own folders. Also, you will see that I have no spaces in my names and no symbols except the Better Body folder. By putting the !!! in front of that folder I am making sure that it is read first when the files are read when the game loads. It is what the creator recommended. The reason why I have no symbols besides that and no spaces will be covered below in Tip #3 more.
Tip #2 How to deal with bad CC.

It's not a very pleasant look. What it means is you have BAD CC. You can get bad CC from a few reasons. First the CC is out of date and secondly, you have the recolor and are missing the mesh. To a new CC user, it can be a bit frustrating unless you know how to correct it. You will need to download The Sims Tray Importer. This Sims Tray Importer will help you to figure out what CC your sim is wearing exactly. It will also help you when you wish to go through your CC and get rid of items you may not want anymore. Here is a VIDEO that will go into more detail on how to use the program for fixing and deleting Cas CC. You can also use this program to go through your CC objects as well. You place the items you do not want on a lot than you save the lot and you can go through it and delete as the video shows. If you are looking for the missing mesh you right-click on the file that you are missing the mesh and you can Find on Google. It is a very helpful program.
Tip #3 How to speed up your load time.
Face it some people just really love CC and they download a ton of it. I have heard some people say they have 60 gigs or more of CC. Well, all that takes a while to load in your game. This tip I'm about to tell you helped my load time personally. I have heard it hasn't worked for some but it did for me and I feel it is worth sharing again. I first posted about it in CC Tips #1, but I have learned more about why it helps since then. I'm not really sure why it didn't work for some people, but I think it has to do how they used it. My tip is to use Bulk Rename Utility. This allows you to get rid of all the .*&! and other symbols in your packages name. Here is a LINK to a video on How to Use Bulk Rename Utility. I recommend making a backup of your Mods folder before you do it. Now my second tip is to only change the name of Cas and Object Files. Leave the MOD and Script names alone! They might be programmed to work with each other by the name they are when you download them. Also for me when I update my files and drag and drop the new files it helps if the files have the same name so you do not have multiple names of the same program. I cover more about updating in Tip #6. By renaming the files with no spaces or symbols it, in theory, gives the game less to read as I previously thought. The real reason is thought that it is because in the Sims 4 only 0-9,A-Z,-,and_ are recognized as proper coding. By getting rid of the extra symbols you make it easier for the game to read the files which will make it faster to load. 
Tip #4 Merge the right way.
If you are unaware of what merging is it can help clean up your Mods folder and keep you better organized. It also gives your game fewer files to read when your game loads which can make load time faster. Here is a video on how to Merge package files. Here is the link to the Sims 4 Studio the program you will need to use to merge package files.
Please note merging package files has risks and you should keep a back up of your files until you figure out for yourself what works and doesn't. Also, do not merge mod and script files. Only merge cas and objects.  Also, don't merge merged packages together.
A lot of people merge a ton of random package files together in hopes of speeding up their load time. You will watch tons of videos that people do that. The video I shared does that. I personally do not recommend it in any way shape or form. If you want to keep your game clean and bug-free you should think of how to merge your files in a proper way before you go and just merge them all together. By merging them together it makes Tip #2 much harder. Yes you can unmerge the package files now, but to me putting a ton of random stuff together never seemed worth the frustration in the long run of fixing it if you need to. I recommend only merging sets and pieces that go together. 
Tip #5 How to Categorize and Batch Fixes.
This tip is not required for your game to work faster or to organize your Mods folder. This is something that personally drives me nuts and will help Tip # 2. This tip is to help with your actual gameplay in Cas. Not all creators properly categorize their CC packages. With the new pack of Seasons, it also has impacted older CC categories. To fix where you find your CC in Cas you have to manually fix them. To do this you will need Sims 4 Studio. There are batch fixes for some of the categories and I will cover that below. You will need to open each package by itself and change the categories to what you want them to be for your gameplay. I personally open each file before I even add it to my game or merge to make sure it is to my liking. Yes, it can be very time-consuming. But it brings down my frustration when I use Cas. To fix this when you have the files in your game already you can use Tip #2 and put the items on sims in Cas you want to fix and use the Sims Tray Importer.
This tip is what you personally like or don't like as I said. For me, I do not like random cc on sims. CC can make your sim look great but randomly not so much. I mean look at how bad some outfit are from the actual game content. To fix this you can go through each file or you can do a batch fix and set cc not to random. It as I said above will help with Tip #2 when you go through the cc you do not want and don't delete something you do. Here is a video on how to do use the batch fix and what batch fixes you can do.
There is a warning about batch fixes and the video does touch it. It can not work on your merged package files. It can also break your CC. These are very unlikely to happen but it is why I always say to back up files before you do anything to them. Sims 4 Studio will have its own back up for you when you batch fix incase as well. To prevent this I only use the batch fix on mods with Cas items added and manually fix the files before I put them in my folder.
Tip #6 How to update.
Sometimes I make sure my custom content is updated once or twice a week. Sometimes I do it more and sometimes I do it less. It all depends on how much time I plan on playing the Sims 4. Tip #1 is how updating is easier for me. You generally do not need to update your Cas CC or Object CC on a regular basis. For me, it is my animations for Wicked Whims and my gameplay mods. By keeping the CC updated you will run into fewer errors and smoother play. It can be time-consuming but if you have a solid organization already it doesn't take long at all. The files you have to make sure you keep updated more regularly are the gameplay mods. The ones that add to how you play your game. I'm sure a lot of people just add a mod and don't really think of it till there is the dreaded big updates which I will also cover in this tip. It is important though that you keep an eye on what has been updated or not. 
You, in theory, don't have to update all your mods if there isn't an update. There are so many talented CC creators out there though that are always working on their mods and will put out a new version of the mod. If you are fine with what you have then don't bother updating til there is a need, but the new changes that creators make add to your gameplay. Plus a lot of creators mods tie into each other. So if for example Wicked Whims updates and you only update that then you might get errors from the ones that work with it. From my experience, this doesn't affect the animations when the program is updated. So when you download a gameplay mod make sure you know how it works and what it does and doesn't work with. So know what you have for mods. 
When you want to update them you can go to where you downloaded them in the first place and see if they have updated. A lot of creators have their own way to let people know of updates. Make sure you also read how they recommend updating the files. Some mods require deleting old save files of the programs from your Saves. Some recommend removing old files and putting in the new files when you update. Some creators say copy and paste or drag and drop are fine.
So for the dreaded big updates. These happen when there is a new EA Content coming out or they are fixing a problem with the game. When this happens make sure you take out your mods folder before you update and start once. I leave my Cas and objects in my folder but I take out all of the mods especially. I haven't had any issues, but if you are not comfortable with them in the Mods folder when you start your game after an update take them all out. Make sure you remove the files that the creators say you should when you update as well. Do not try playing the game with them not updated in your Mod folder or it can cause your game problems. I have heard of it causing a wide range of issues from breaking a save to your whole game where you need to reinstall it. I personally make sure I have a copy of my Tray, Saves, and Mods folders in another folder before I update. After you have started the game at least once you can start adding back your mods. Only add ones that you know have been updated to the newest patch. If you want to wait to make sure that all your favorite mods have been updated before you do the update you can do that as well by playing in offline mode. 
If you update and do not have all the mods you usually have I recommend making a new save until you have all the mods you usually play with. Or you could do as I have and have a Test Save that it's ok if it gets messed up. This is generally the save I use for Tip #2. If you open a used save without all of the mods you had you can loose some of the settings you have made for some of the gameplay mods. For example NPC Control Mod By Paulson if you open a save that you used the mod in all the changes you have made will go away. MC Command Center does not have this problem because the setting are universal for all saves. Wicked Whims has its setting in the mods folder that you do not remove or update. This allows the mod to share setting with other worlds. This is why like I said it's important to know what mods you have and how they work. 
Tip #7 How to find Custom Content.
This section is why I put a disclaimer above. There are many ways to find custom content for the Sims 4. If you are reading this post then you already know about Tumblr. There are many other places as well.

Tumblr
There are many Sims related Tumblr pages within Tumblr to have just one link for the site to go to, is impossible. There are many CC Finds pages that are on the site. The CC finds page that started it all as far as I am concerned was Lana CC Finds. The page is still there with a ton of CC but she has since stopped posting since Tumblr started the NSFW ban. Some people have moved to NewTumblr because of it. From Lana ashes, there have been many pages that are strictly CC finds. Here are some of the more popular and useful ones.

The Sims Resource
You can join the Sims resource for a small free a month for unlimited downloads with no wait or you can wait 10 seconds per download for free. The site has a large selection of custom content for all 4 Sims games. All the content is uploaded to the site by the actual creator.
Mod The Sims
Mod the Sims is like The Sims Resource as far as all the content is uploaded from the actual content creator. There are no fees with downloading and no wait. It also gives you a page where you can see what you have downloaded and if you have the latest update of it. I have noticed though that a lot of the top creators have moved over to their own Pateron pages. I will explain that more below.
Sims 4 Studios
This site is set up like a forum for the Sims 4 Studio program. This is a great place to learn about how to use the program and ask questions. There is a Creators Studio where creators upload their content into a post for you to download from. For some creators, this is the only place where they upload the content. For example Andrews Pose Player.
LoversLab
This site is an 18+ site. This site has to do mainly with the Wicked Whims mod, the animation and other adult content creators make. 
Pateron
There is no link for this site because each content creator has their own page just like Tumblr. This site is a site where you can pay a monthly membership for the content the creators releases. The monthly fees depend on what the creator sets them at. When you become a member you are privileged to early releases before the content is publicly released. I’d like to say that all the creators release their content after a while but some don't. I have seen the general rule is two weeks, but it depends on the creator. Some creators use the site as their own webpage to keep people updated on their content and have everything for free. They do have monthly donations if you wish to support them but there is no fee in content release to the public.
L'UniverSims
This site is home to the Sims Tray Importer program. The site has articles about the Sims, downloads, and forums. All the content is free and there is no download wait. It is a french site with other language translations. There might not be as much content as some sites but it is worth looking around for new content that you may never have seen before. 
Naughty Sims Asylum
This site has a lot of the creators that have been creating for a long time and some only add to this site. For example CoolSpears. This site has content for all of the Sim games. Check out the INPATIENT CREATORS for what they have to offer. You must join the site to view content but it is free to join.
Simsdom
I won't be putting a link to this site read HERE and HERE as to why. I will explain how it works a little. It is trying to be like The Sims Resource. The biggest issue with this is that not all of the content that is on the site is voluntarily uploaded onto the site. Read the links I put to understand how this can cause issues within the Sims community.
Some Honorable Mentions:
Pinterest- A great site to find CC but not usually thought of.
YouTube- There are a lot of simmers who have youtube channels. Some do speed builds, CC finds videos or mod reviews. 
Other blog sites- I personally only have a Tumblr so I can not say more about how the other the blog sites work when it comes to The Sims, my assumption is that it is a lot like Tumblr. Some creators have a Tumblr and another blog.
Above I told you of more of the mainstream sites to find content. I'm sure there are more out there, but I can only put so many in one post. I am willing to take suggestions on other sites to mention though. Below I will post about the not as mainstream sites. There are only two that I will post about but they could make some creators angry, but they are part of finding CC and I am writing a post on CC. 
The first site is Down with Pateron. This site is updated every Sunday. It includes early released Pateron content for free with no membership. The links to downloads are provided by members of the creators for others.
The second and last site I will share is a forum page. It is called The Sims 4: Mod Collection. It is a forums page with a Mega folder of Pateron only content. They have a Discord as well that they share downloads with each other. You have to join the site to view the forum post but it is for free. The post will give you info on how to get to the Mega folder and join the Discord server.
