One thing I always found interesting about Saturday's weapon (other than that it seemingly can't fire slugs) is that it was clearly custom-designed with the Cryptogriff in mind. If it just worked for any slug then it would be way too powerful since it means a slinger could constantly shoot blasts of whatever element the slug inside is able to manifest without having to worry about retrieving it.

What makes it even worse is that even if the slug inside runs out of steam and the slinger doesn't have any others to replace it with the blaster basically doubles as a melee weapon since it's basically just a spear and your opponent could still throw it at you for a ranged attack.

Like imagine you just went through the most rough endurance fight ever, your opponent's slugs have FINALLY run out of energy to keep blasting and then you see your opponent hit this stance.

Ru-Ja-Gun-Con

This is from Slugterra

These are blasters use for dueling instead of using ammo like a normal gun you use living ammo called slugs.

The blasters shot the slugs to top speeds causing the slugs to transform and once they transformed they can do well they can use abilities and there are so many of them it's hard which can do what but to simply put.

Each slug is unique and can come in handy when things get serious.

Jaune: So, how do these, uh, "slugs" work?

Ruby: Well, when they hit over 100mph, they use their unique attributes, and at over 200mph, they transform into something called a "megamorph".

Jaune: Huh... So it's like using living dust?

Ruby: Pretty much, yeah. Or like shooting Zwei, if Zwei could turn into a monster corgi.

Jaune: ...

Ruby: ...

Jaune: You're thinking about a monster corgi, too, aren't you?

Ruby: Oh, yeah~.

Welp, here come those stunters.

The basic designs of the stunters (the new ones that is) are finished, these are characters who you can ask questions to in my ask series. I traced basic shapes from some Slugterra character models before putting the design over it. I also might colour it in.

So here's who's who and a headcanon for each.

From left to right, it's W.B. (who's bandana originally belonged to his biological dad who was in the old gang), Minotaur (whose right shoulder thing is actually his backpack, which he stores his slugs in), Drag (who got his new helmet when he was gone from the stunters for a while after the old group broke apart), Moulton (who wears the metal for protection, can be used like knuckle busters as well), and Slasher (who uses a wrist blaster and dresses the smartest in the group.)

Her name is Jubilee Miracle, she’s from the surface and she grew up in the Circus. Her mother was Locke & Load’s sister. Her main slug is a Narwhaddle named Flurry. And when she arrived in Slugterra she was a natural Slugslinger, and became very famous for her unique style while Slugslinging. So much so that people started to call her ‘The Amazing Slinger’ because of her habitat of Preforming Amazing and Daring Stunts while Slug Slinging. When she joins the Shane Gang she becomes the team’s Scout.

Dipped my hand back into Blaster Designs and came up with this beaut of a blaster.

Introducing the Butcher's Great Knife. It is a claymore styled blaster (inspired by fantasy games like Genshin and Final Fantasy). It is made from a fictional ore known as 'Okaekeyite' (O-ke-key-ite) and is fitted with an accelerator. The horns bolted to the thick hilt are indeed the owner's own father's horns.

The owner of this blaster is Jackal Mayne, the Golden Butcher of Gold City Cavern within the European Caverns. This blade slays Deep Cavern Eels and other monsters that threaten the cavern which he resides within.

i promised i would and ive only just gotten enough time to post it here lmao. this post is just gonna be the boys, since i've got the most info on them but i would be overjoyed to post the rest of what i have. so, without further ado, enjoy this mess of my special interests and hyperfixations colliding. Character Backstories

Edwin’s Story

His parents were never particularly attentive or caring. Neither of them paid him any kind of attention. He spent most days on his own. Most of them he spent in a library or the wild, learning as much as he possibly could to satiate his curiosity. He found a love for magic and myths, even more so relating to the Shadow Clan. So, he had adventures to try and find any place relating to the Clan. On one such adventure, he stumbled across a group of hunters prowling the woods. He heard them muttering about finding the Enigmo that had been spotted and he immediately perked up. He knew all about the Enigmo, but he also knew what the hunters would do if they found it. So he sprinted around the woods, keeping his keen eyes peeled for a flash of turquoise. And he found it. As it fell from high above him and hit him at velocity. The blurring of his vision frightened him, but he grabbed the slug and tucked it into his pocket. As he snuck out of the forest, he noticed colors surrounding the slugs of the hunters. He realized that he was seeing their auras, an idea he’d found during his many hours of research. Thankfully, the bullies at his school had taught him how to be stealthy, even with doubled vision. He used one of his father’s spare blasters to fire the Enigmo and undo his vision. The slug was affectionate, if slightly clumsy. It was a welcome change to his parents’ uncaring attitude. He named his new companion Thoth, the god of knowledge. A year or so later, he would meet Charles. They became immediate friends, always sharing their ideas and days, a pattern they continued into adulthood. 

Charles’ Story

As a boy, his father was abusive. He was allowed nothing. Even when the other boys his age were befriending and collecting their first slugs, he was forbidden it. One day, his father locked him out for some reason or another. With a bruise on his face, he wandered around to waste time until he could return home. He met an Armashelt. She stuck to him, even when he tried to tell her that he was just a failure. They became fast friends. When he did eventually return home, his father threw his new friend out and slammed the door. During the night, however, she snuck back in through his window. Time and again, his father threw her out and time and again, she snuck back in. However, he never truly had a chance to name her. One day, his father was in a drunken rage and Charles ran away. Out in the forest, the young boy met Edwin. Despite their differences, they became best friends immediately. When Edwin spotted the Armashelt, he asked her name. Charles was sad to say she didn’t have one. So they discussed it. When asked what he liked about her, he said that he admired how she was a shield in many ways. The few times she had met velocity was when the other boys were bullying him. When velocimorphs flew at him, she had dug in her claws and used her shell to shield him. Edwin suggested the name Aegis, the shield of the gods, and Charles thought it was brills. The two would often sneak away together, staying friends into adulthood.

Man-Down AU ramble session

yeah, that's uh- that's what this post is-

───✧★[Part 1]★✧─── I guess?

In stead of Will encountering Blakk and getting sent to the Deep Cavern's, Will finds a vial of Dark Water that's being discreetly sold thus starting his investigation into it.

Blakk, is playing it safe, so when he makes is first ghoul he doesn't go after Will, but continues to study it, and slowly build his forces. he puts of the front of being a 'diligent business man' like Lex Luthor, but you still get like, bad vibes from the guy. but since he hasn't, really done anything, Blakk Industries slowly becomes a house hold name. Even with the faint whispers of rumors about Thaddius Blakk.

fast forward like 5 years when Eli is 15

Eli takes the drop alone with Burpy still, in this case, Will shot the fire slug up to his son the day before since Will was prepping for his present for Eli's birthday still. But the older Shane is there to greet his son.

Eli:[Lands after one hell of an underground roller coaster ride] Will: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELI! :) Eli: Dad! :) [HUGS] Will: Sorry I couldn't make it topside, but I promise what's coming next will more than make up for it! Eli: I'm just happy I get to be here in Slugterra with you Will:[tearing up] Me too son, me too. Burpy:[happy chirping]

They head to the Hideout, Eli excitedly asking questions while Will tells him "All is due time kiddo"

Pronto is there, and Eli confuses him for Tom Por

so, in this Au, Tom and Will have their falling out, but Tom Por dose not disappear or whatever, and by chance Will and Pronto meet. And against his better judgment, Will ask's Pronto to be his new Tracker

Pronto dose his thing, acting shocked his "dear friend never told Pronto he had an hair to the Shane Legacy!"

Will roles his eyes and Eli laughs

Before going into the garage, Eli get's his first Blaster

The white and blue one, after the tournament Will plans on taking Eli to Red-Hooks for that fancy Defender Slipstream XVL

but for now, white and blue, and Eli gets to fire Burpy, and Pronto pops a party popper for the occasion

Fun Little montage of Will teaching his son how to ride a Mecha Beast, and Will dying inside silently of how adorable his son is because 'HE NAMES THE MECHA, 'LUCKY'?! AHHHHH'

Look Will Shane love's his son and will be Eli's biggest supporter to the bitter end or so help him-

They still run into that thug, and Trixie, Eli being Eli wants to step in and help but Will stops him. "Not everyone is helpless Eli, just watch"

Trixie deals with the thug herself(quiet easily), but doesn't miss the fact Will Shane is watching and has a kid that looks like him with him

"Eli, while it's our duty to protect the Caverns. Not everyone is in need of that protection and can handle themselves just fine. On top of that, the people shouldn't become so reliant on someone else to solve their problems. So, just be mindful. Not everyone needs a Shane coming to their rescue."

A fucking lesson i personally stand by and wish was explored more in cannon

At the registration tent for the tournament

Eli: [scribbles his name down on the registration sheet] The registration guy:[sees the last name he put] you? Your claiming to be a Shane? Wow that's gutsy kid- Will:[death glaring the guy over Eli's shoulder] The registration guy:[nervous and scared shitless] I mean good luck! Eli:...?

Pronto still finds Kord for Eli to practice against.

Eli:[Gasp] your a Cave Troll! Kord: lemme guess, you don't wanna spar against me either... Eli:lre you kidding?! My Dad always said there's no one more trustworthy and reliable than a Cave Troll! Kord: Will Shane said that? Will:[leaning against his Mecha]Yeah, I do believe I did Kord:[fangirling] Will Shane think's I'm trustworthy! Best day of my life!

Eli and Kord? Instant best friends

Tho Kord can't help but feel Will would murder him of he did anything to Eli

Will also gets in on training action

Eli has a ruff time lol but he's a natural

Pronto is busy making bets

Trixie make's herself known as she records footage of everyone practicing

She ask's if Eli really is Will son

The 'No dueling till 15 rule' gets talked about.

and Trixie, Kord and Pronto are a little perplexed as to why, Will would hold off teaching his son so late, since most slingers start younger, like as soon as they can a Blaster properly

but REASONS! the Shane's are just weird.... probably

Eli's first match, against Shockwire.

Kord, let's Eli borrow some Floppers. Will asks if Eli wants some of his slugs to use for the match, but Eli declined. Kid wants to prove himself. Plus, he already has Burpy.

As the match begins, Shockwire makes the obligatory "daddy's boy" comment.

Eli then kicks Shockwire ass

[Eli wins his first ever tournament match(even if it's a preliminary)] Will:[cheering loudly] THATS MY SON! YOU SEE THAT?! THAT'S MY KID! WAY TO GO ELI AH AH AH![he shakes the person next to him and woops] Kord: Way to go, litte buddy! Trixie: Nice going Eli! Pronto:[collecting his betting profits]

Joules is now part of the team :)

Montage of Eli sweeping the tournament, and getting his slugs, inter cut with training sessions with his dad

during one match, a solo, four way dule, Eli ties with a flashy Slinger from New Neo Cavern, the Wild Mane

Mane and Eli end up becoming friends :)

Mane: We So gotta Duel again some time! Eli: YEAH! That was so much fun! I didn't think shot's like that where possible! Mane: Well your no slouch either- that fake out with your Bubbaleone? epic! Eli: Well that thing you did with your Midas slug was awesome too, turning that one guy blaster too fools gold temporarily? Hilarious!

yes I'm adding New Neo BECASUE REASONS SO DEAL WITH IT!

Blakk gets word of a new Shane, and is shown the footage.

he is none to pleased.

one Shane was a thorn in his side already, a second one? time to pull these pesky weeds out of the garden.

Final day of the tournament instead of showing up in the SlugTerran Express, Blakk shows up, with Maurice, on foot, and while Will is distracted keeping an eye on a group of slingers who have gotten rather rowdy Blakk approaches Eli and his new friends with a proposition.

Burpy is having none of it, and is hissing.

Blakk dose not offer Eli a ghoul, just Blakk Industries equipment and sponsorship. For him and his friends. But Eli trusting his slug, and noticing Kord, Trixie, Mane and Pronto are rather stiff in Blakk's presence, declines.

They(the gang) then regroup with Will but don't mention the encounter with Blakk

Blakk then approaches and gives a ghoul to John Bull, under the condition John doesn't say who he got it from. John reluctantly agrees. After all, those that cross Thaddius Blakk don't tend to fair well after the fact.

Eli and John Bull are the finalist, and in his desperate attempt to win, uses that ghoul slug he was given. John win's. but at what cost? (John dose his little, 'I don't need your slugs' thing)

Everyone is rightfully horrified by what just happened. What the heck happened to that slug? where did it come from? did someone so something to it? is it sick? is it infectious? will it happen to their slugs? dose it affect slingers as well?

Will Shane is quite through all this, but he spots Blakk in the crowd. there eyes meet and for a moment, Will get's a bone chilling shiver down his spine.

Something was very wrong, and Blakk has something to do with it.

Will was going to have to crack down on his Dark Water investigation.

During the following week, Eli is allowed to invite Trixie, Kord and Mane over to hang.

Kid need's people he can trust outside of Will and Pronto.

and after dealing with C.C. they come back to the Hideout trashed.

Eli is still very hesitant about trading his slugs, he hate's it. even if the others are telling him it's okay, and everyone feels the same way the first time around.

not even ten minutes after Joules get's traded Eli want's to get him back.

They all look to Will, who sighs and caves. Time to get the Tazerling back... should be simple

or not, turn's out, slug smuggling was going on- particularly these Slug's where getting shipped to Blakk Industries

hmmm... that's sus

shenanigans ensue, and Eli ends up in Blakk's office with the man himself.

Blakk once again ties to get Eli to work for Blakk Industries, thinking he can manipulate the younger Shane into doing what he wants.

for all the problems a Shane can cause, they can be quite good for business

Blakk even goes as far as to show off the ghouling process to Eli on a different Tazerling.

Eli plays along just long enough to get Joules back.

Eli get's Joules back before he can be ghouled, and has a stand off with the CEO, unleashing a volley of slugs at the man. and escapes through the window, and regroups with everyone down below outside.

Blakk tries to get a shot at the young Shane with his Grimmstone.

Will pushes Eli out of the way, and get's hit. hard in the head.

Will Shane fall's into a coma, no one is sure when or if he'll wake up

Leaving his son and his friends to deal with the disaster that has been brewing for who knows know long

one weed had been temporarily removed, time to see how much of a fight the second one puts up with his little insect helpers.
