these two are linked in some way. 100%. i'm hesitant to add mem to the theory board because idk if they'll be related to march too or just cyrene (being an entity that sort of embodies cyrene's... essence? like ELF elysia in hi3) but the similarities they have with Both are too big to ignore completely

unsure if they're about to go the route of cyrene and march being the same person or if march is simply like... a fragment of cyrene that was sealed and sent away to maybe give her a chance to live on since this girl is doomed to die in virtually every universe and iteration. amphoreus's time and space displacement is fucked up and it seems like we're going to be spending a lot of the adventure split across concepts of "past," "present," and "future." so that mayyyyy be why we were able to see cyrene interacting with and talking to stelle in the nameless faces video, if she's no longer "whole"/dead/...whatever.

she does appear to be emerging from a place of... non... physicality. also it's worth noting that in the first picture of her i included, she's sinking - into water or a water-like substance. that can presumably freeze over...... and become the ice block himeko and welt found march 7th in....... hm? 🤨

it's hard to say how much cyrene will have in common with elysia - it's unfair to expect them to be the exact same character, and maybe these points i'm about to bring up mean little in the end because we don't know for sure where the story is going to go, but

elysia was "born from nothing" which doesn't quite have the same connotations as march 7th's "birth" but you know. they both found themselves in a sudden state of existence with next to nothing to fall back on and they defined themselves

elysia is not humble about her beauty and speaks often of it (as she should; she is very pretty). similarly, march frequently boasts about her cuteness and describes herself as the cutest girl in the world (as she should; she is very cute)

"never forget your roots" is one of the mantras elysia lives by. this stands out to me because despite not... really needing those memories, march is pretty insistent on remembering her past. the lesson that the garden of remembrance and just the universe and her adventures in general have tried to teach her ("your present defines you; so long as you're happy here, you don't need the memories of your past, and retrieving them might destroy what you've come to love now") just doesn't appear to be sinking in. perhaps because she subconsciously has a core belief stating the opposite

as for how mem would fit into this i have nothing for you because we don't have anywhere near enough info on them for me to begin thinking about that. but it seems like they'll be a pretty big deal.

like i'm spitballing more than anything here. if march IS a fragment of cyrene i think it's also obvious that she has grown into her own, entirely separate person and her origins are inconsequential - though she might not think that if/when she learns this about herself. that might also offer an explanation for why the garden of remembrance won't let her have any part of her old memories, not even a hint. because learning that she's technically a piece of someone else might be too heavy a blow to her sense of identity and she'll be entirely too focused on all the wrong things. uncovering her past will slow her down at the most inopportune moment... make her vulnerable in all the worst ways. which might be why she appears so absent from the adventure.

it's also possible that like. all three of these guys - march, cyrene, and mem - are fragments of a titan (don't ask me which). or that march was given cyrene's coreflame (don't ask me which) before being catapulted into space. or march was the previous owner of the coreflame cyrene has now - if they can be passed on to other people - before being catapulted into space. or i mean, the coreflame cyrene HAD because i'm not convinced this girl's fully alive and well. mem IS the coreflame, brought to life/imparted with cyrene's memories and will.

do you see... there's just so very much to think about... looooots of story spoilers got thrown at us if we can just... untangle the mess... can anyone HEAR me

Got any theories, speculations, wishful thinking on how White Lily and Silent Salt’s Beast Yeast Episode could go?

It's hard to say. We know literally nothing about Silent Salt except his name and vice. I have ideas, but... are they really ideas? Or just fanciful daydreams? Wishful thinking is all I can really operate on right now, unfortunately.

Above absolutely all else, I want Silent Salt to be mute. I don't want to hear a single fucking sound from that man. Many people already do headcanon him as mute from what I've seen, and I'm 100% in that boat, as well. A mute character in this setting would be a very interesting concept to work with imo (like... How would he communicate? How would he sign when nobody actually has hands lol? You know?). But I think certain character traits that you don't often see in people irl and that majorly impact who they are as people (not just referring to disability, anything that might stand out a little extra or appear unconventional) can be fun to work with in storytelling, provided you actually know what you're doing with them. We already have a couple of characters who don't quite talk, like Sorbet Shark in cookie form and Candy Diver, but... that's not really the same. A character that is 100% mute, that literally does not and cannot speak, in a world and game like this where there is so much talking, would be a fun deviation from the norm.

As for him with White Lily, I think an interesting angle to explore would be Silent Salt actually not being as antagonistic towards her as the other Beasts are with their Ancients. Perhaps the slightest remnant of the original Light of Solidarity can shine through, even for just one moment, and allow him to almost... commiserate with this fellow lost soul. Because how different is White Lily from him, really? She succumbed to darkness, too. She's a Beast in all but name. Of course, he still wants his power back, and if he has to defeat/kill her, then so be it. But perhaps he doesn't find any joy or satisfaction in doing so, like his comrades did with their Ancients. He's not sad about it, but... I don't know. Maybe he finds White Lily to be a kindred spirit, at least in some small form. And maybe the smallest part of him thinks that all of this is just... such a shame. Such a big shame, indeed.

Idk if I articulated my thoughts very well there... I have a LOT of thoughts regarding Silent Salt and his (potential) character. I want to make a separate post talking about it, but I need to get them in order first. (I will say that if anything I've ascribed to him turns out to be canon in the future, I will be a very happy merchant and he will very quickly usurp Burning Spice as my favorite Beast lol)

Kinda ironic that Tommy is a speedster, but is constantly left behind by the people around him (even by Marvel Comics itself)

Like, everyone around him has lifes of their own, his biological parents live separately and it seems like neither of them want Tommy to be actively in their lives.

Even though he calls Wanda "mom" or Billy "brother," neither of them are really family to him, Wanda has her life and her problems, she doesn't act like a mother to him, not even like a mentor, their relationship is good enough but it's not deep.

And even though Billy was the one who supported the theory that the two of them are Wanda's reincarnated twins, after revealing the truth, he has his own things to focus on, Billy has loving biological parents and two real brothers, plus the best boyfriend in the universe, he even goes to space and gets married.

The best thing that Tommy had was the Young Avengers, and I adore them, but I also can't deny that Kate used him to later stay with Eli, and later she uses him again when she is angry at Noh-Varr, and after Children's Crusade when the Young Avengers split up, what Tommy wanted most was for them to stay together.

And what happens when a new Young Avengers line-up begins to form? Tommy is "kidnapped" 💀 My dude is literally left out of the whole adventure that he wanted the most, and he didn't really form any bond with any of the new members other than David.

I ask a sincere question, what friends does Tommy have? Lmaooo, seriously 😭 because David was the only one from what I remember and after they date for a while they break up off the page.

Tommy has never had a stable enough relationship, and everyone he knows has friends or other superhero teams more important than him, Tommy has only been in the Young Avengers and his appearances are so few and short that it's almost as if he's not there.

And since Marvel hates giving my boy time we literally never have a clue what's going on in his head, but let me doubt that after being labeled as the "sociopath" problem boy with no feelings, it literally won't affect him at all 💀 That facade he puts up is literally a defense mechanism, we've seen his real opinions a few times and he's not like that, he does care about his friends, he may not think about things much but when his life is lonely and the world is too slow I think it is impossible to ignore, idk.

I know it's a lot of text but I'm on the path to read all the comics in which Tommy appears, bc I never thought he would interest me so much but he became my favorite character and now I can't stand how Marvel always gives him leftovers.

And maybe what I said doesn't bother him as a character, or in the future my opinion will be proven wrong, but if Marvel never shows us anything about him, all I have to deduce what's going on in his life is the miserable information they give us.

i dont have any persona theories to share currently but i can give my new player thoughts on the phantom thieves (i named mine the fazvengers btw me and my friends decided on a fnaf theme)

- ok so im not sure how to perceive joker as a character. hes awesome and very cool but when im making all his decisions its hard to notice specific personality traits, at least on a first playthrough. id probably need more experience in persona studies to actually understand him as a character. his name is freddy fazballs to me also and it took a while to get used to

- ryuji is my favorite im the #1 ryuji fan🔥🔥🔥 HES SO AWESOME AND FUN and i love his personality and i thought his character is pretty well written, especially in the beginning. i adore ryuji ive never left him behind in a palace once. hes very interesting to me and i can think about him forever i love ryuji sakamoto🙏🙏

- ann is literally amazing and i thought her story was also great at the start. shes one of my favorites, my only complaint is i wish the game would stop sexualizing her. its like they forgot the point of her arc and everything she went through with kamoshida, which i very much dislike. thats not her fault tho awesome character

- yusuke is SO fun and eccentric, i adore how dramatic he is. i found his story really interesting and i also think hes funny

- makoto is cool, she kinda stands out a bit less than the others but thats fine. i think shes awesome and i dont have many issues with her in particular, but i do think shes kinda boring

- futaba omg her palace was SO INTERESTING its been my favorite palace so far. i was so engaged the entire palace, i just wanted to understand more of her character every day. i got up and cheered when she got her persona and i wrote a bunch of notes and theories. futaba is awesome love her

- haru's cool. idk her too well yet since i only really met her one palace ago, but shes nice and sweet and its very funny when shes not. also i hope we change her dumb stupid horrible fiance's heart in mementos (havent gotten far enough in her confidant to know how that goes yet)

- akechi is so fascinating to me. what is wrong with him i will find out. ive written page after page about him in my notes and i still cant figure him out, but what i do know is i think hes a liar and a snitch and a murderer and i like making fun of him. hes been my top priority confidant and i hope he has a palace and i hope its super cool and interesting

- oh and i tried to like morgana i really did but he annoys me and he needs to sit down and leave ann alone and let me stay up at night and stop telling me everything and bossing me around

-Jeremy Jordan you fucking legend. I’m a big fan of a lot of his work and was excited to see him in this but I was slightly unsure if he was the right casting since I expected Lucifer to be more of a high and mighty/snobby figure, but with the way they characterised him HE IS PERFECT.

-More sweet moments between him and Husk, they’ve gotten me so invested in this ship so fast

-Idk how I feel about the timeskip between Ep 4&5, they’re only a month away from the extermination now. Yes it’s making the stakes feel higher but I do wish we’d been able to see more of that time for the relationship development, all the characters seem much closer than before and we’ve only seen bits of how they got there

-I really wish they’d greenlit more than 8 episodes to pace things a little better but I’m glad we have season 2 confirmed

-That last minute ‘reveal Vaggie’s past to Charlie, boot them out of heaven and then cut to credits before she can react’ is gonna torture me until next week

-I don’t disagree with past criticism that Vivzie’s female characters can feel a bit underwritten but I think it’s getting better

My Cornley Drama Society family headcanons:

Warning: Their parents suck and none of them have good relationships to their families.

Chris:

Starting off with the man whose parents canonically suck. They were definitely very strict and conservative (*cough* tories *cough), and I mean they canonically didn't show Chris affection. But I feel like Chris is probably in denial about this because whenever you hear him talk about his parents it's very clear that they suck but he just talks about it like it's normal (ex: "my mother, like all mothers, abhors any physical contact"). Most of the others have picked up on the fact that Chris's parents suck but whenever anyone talks to him about it he gets really defensive really quickly. I think that somewhere deep down he knows that his parents are bad but he just forces himself to believe that they're not because he can't deal with the idea that they are. He also gives me major only child vibes.

Robert:

Robert canonically has a sister, but I feel like he probably has another sibling as well because he really gives me ignored middle child vibes. I get the feeling that his parents were kind of neglecting towards him and discouraged anything he did so now he is just desperately trying to prove himself to them, or at least prove their low opinions of him wrong. Sibling wise I think he probably has a younger sister and an older sister (the older one being the one who briefly dated Chris, and the younger one being Lucy's mother). When it comes to Robert's relationships with his sisters I feel like he's probably a bit closer with his younger sister.

Dennis:

A while ago I posted about the fact that I believe that Denise, the female variant of Dennis, is his sister and I still stand by that. He's probably the younger of the two. I think his parents got divorced when he was quite young and he doesn't really see his dad nor has a very strong connection to him (a big reason for why he seems so fine with calling Robert dad). From the small details that we've heard about his mum I don't think she's a good parent either, considering that the bits of information we've been given about her are:

She dated Robert. I hope that most people can agree that dating your sons friend and co-worker (and also future roommate, which I just want to mention cause I think it's funny) is maybe not the best thing to do.

During a performance of The Murder at Haversham Manor she straight up got up and left

When Dennis thought that Vanessa proposed to him he called his mum who said that she didn't believe him because she thinks that Vanessa is a solid eight and Dennis is a two. Which, surprise surprise, is a really shitty thing to say.

So yeah I don't think she's great either, but just like Chris, I think that Dennis is a bit in denial about this. But whilst Chris is kind of actively trying to convince himself that his parents are good, I feel like for Dennis that has never occurred as a possibility. It's so deeply engrained in his brain that this is what parents are supposed to be like that he's never even entertained the idea that his parents weren't actually that good at being parents. He just thinks that this is how all parents act, and to be honest being in the Cornley Drama Society hasn't really proven this theory wrong.

(Also Rennis exists. Do I know much about him? No. But he's important. Trust me.)

Max:

Max's family gives me "uptight old money family" vibes, and I feel like growing up he didn't fully feel like he fit in. I also headcanon him as being/having (idk) AUDHD and considering that I once again don't feel like a strict family was perhaps the most comforting and supportive environment. But still he tries to be around his family as much as possible in hope that it will make them closer, but honestly he is probably closer with his aunt than his actual parents. Sibling wise I think he has two older siblings, on sister and one brother, who are both probably a lot closer with their parents than Max is. When they were quite young they behaved quite similarly but as they grew older both of Max's older siblings stepped into a more responsible role and they grew apart from Max.

Sandra:

Sandra definitely strikes me as one of those girls who grew up in a household with just brothers and felt like she kind of had to fight for attention. I think she's probably the youngest, or at least like second youngest since I think she probably has like five brothers. Growing up I think she kind of had to fight quite a lot for her parents attention and that theatre was kind of an attempt to get that attention. Like if she succeeded she would finally be given just a sliver of that attention that her brothers basked in all of her life. And this has resulted in her not being very close with her brothers, and actually resenting them a bit which is something she feels quite bad about cause she knows that it's not their fault. Her and her family still meet quite a lot, but even as an adult Sandra tends to feel quite ignored. I think that this is 100% a thing that she and Robert, and also subconsciously Chris, bonded over.

Jonathan:

I'm kind of pending a bit between two ideas when it comes to Jonathans relationship to his family:

Jonathan is an only child but who is and has always been very neglected by his parents to the point where he often wonders if they even remember that he exists

He has an insane amount of siblings, like six or seven, and is one of the middle ones. Once again this leads to him being extremely neglected by his parents and once again wondering if they even remember his existence.

But either way I don't think his parents were all too good.

Also if we go with the second headcanon I think that that would have led to a similar relationship to his siblings as the one that Sandra has, where he kind of resents them for getting all of the attention growing up, and this was probably something he and Sandra bonded over.

Vanessa:

Vanessa strikes me as the type of person who endlessly defends her parents even thought they weren't the best. I feel like they were quite absent, both literally and metaphorically. When they were there they were "okay", but that was honestly so rare that it's not enough to attribute them the title of "good parents". But nonetheless Vanessa still defends them, and when someone tells her that they weren't good parents she kind of dismisses her experience and says that "others have it worse". She just in general strikes me as the type of person to ignore most of her issues because in her opinion she doesn't have it bad enough. Also gives me major only child vibes. I think her whole family relationship was something that she and Chris really bonded over, cause they had a lot of similar experiences but they're also both too deep in denial to accept that their parents are actually in the wrong. So instead they bond over their "normal" family experiences and the fact that they think it's weird that everyone else thinks that their parents suck.

Annie:

I think Annie's parents got divorced when Annie had already moved out, and her dad then got re-married and had a new kid that is now like twenty years younger than Annie which she finds quite strange and a bit uncomfortable. I think they probably still care a lot about their half-siblings and is very caring and nurturing but does find it quite odd to be so much older. On top of that I don't think her dad was there a lot when she was a kid so she feels quite distant from him and doesn't have a great relationship with him, and this got even worse when he got new kids and she saw how much more present he was with them in comparison to her (just thinking about the quote/monologue in The Good Place when Eleanor talks about her mum, "I just wasn't worth changing for"). So I think Annie probably has a lot more close relationship with their mum. Sibling wise she only has one sibling, her half-sister, who is really young (I don't know what age the Cornley Drama Society members are so I'm not sure what's reasonable).

Trevor:

Sibling wise I think Trevor is probably the oldest of three, one of his siblings being his younger sister named Tessa and the other one being his younger brother named Dale (who was mentioned on the in-character twitter account that Rob Falconer had for Trevor). His parents got divorced when Trevor was like twelve and his dad left a little while after that and none of them have seen him in years. His mum was pretty strict when they were growing up and Trevor essentially tried rebelling in a quite constricting household by striking out and doing things that he actively knew that his mother disapproved of. It's also canon that his mother cut contact with him and I feel like this is a consequence of Trevor not fitting into her box, and I think she probably cut contact with her other children as well. Then as she got older she developed several different medical conditions that resulted in Trevor and his siblings having to check in on her quite a lot, which is something she resents and actively tries to avoid so she'll sometimes just disappear and essentially runs away so she doesn't have to see her kids. Long story short: He doesn't have good parents either.

I wonder if each episode will start with a confusing scene from the future that will haunt us and drive us crazy 🤡 (I also wonder if 4 Minutes will end with explaining all the plots and threads, because as we know, not everything was in DFF)

I read some theories and I see that the one that is often repeated is that Tyme specifically approached Great to seduce him because he is conducting some secret operation against his family. A few questions:

if he knows this family, it means he knows who Great is (and let's say he recognized his name on the note)

why didn't he approach Great earlier, why didn't he arrange a "random" meeting earlier

why would he approach him and seduce him at all? What good would that do him?

I know that we all live in a BL bubble, but the probability of Tyme seducing Great outside of our bubble is actually pretty small, especially in those circumstances

Tyme would have to base the success of his mission on Great accepting his advances instead of reporting him to the hospital management for inappropriate behavior and maybe even stalking

well, I'm sorry, but even the most handsome doctor standing suggestively between a patient's legs and admitting that he knows their name from a private note wouldn't be able to gain someone's trust, quite the opposite. In reality, Tyme only manages to do this because Great already has visions of him and is intrigued. But please pay attention to Great's body language - if it weren't for these visions, he wouldn't be so "compliant" with the doc

why would Tyme even admit that he knows as much about him as his name and tell him how he found out about it, which was pretty weird. This sounds disturbing and off-putting to any person

if Tyme wanted to get closer to Great, it would be better for him to befriend him, gain his trust as a confidant of his problems, someone who supports him, shows a positive kind of friendship (which is exceptionally easy compared to Great's friends 😬), not to stick out with excessive knowledge about him (and his groin) I absolutely don't deny that Tyme may be conducting his operation against Great's family, it's also possible that seeing Great's name, he decided to get to know him for some of his own reasons. But this meeting is accidental, Tyme may already have some plan going on and by contacting Great right now, he may try to gain something, but he may also jeopardize this plan. Basing all this on Great's unknown sexuality is a game that could end badly for Tyme as a doctor and as a "spy". It's just.... idk. Somehow there is too much coincidence here. At the moment I am leaning towards Tyme being sincerely interested in Great 😉

Tyme is an interesting character in general, and I personally agree with his description here by @biochemjess. Already in ep 1 I was intrigued by the fact that he wants to be a surgeon, which means limiting interpersonal contact. His scenes with patients indicate that he doesn't feel a deeper connection with them and their problems, their pain. I would not be surprised if he chose this profession for a purely economic reason, to become a good surgeon and earn good money and have contact with patients only on the operating table 🤔 I was also intrigued by his reaction to what the nurses say about him.

Of course, this is only episode 2, in DFF all the surprising plot twists appeared later, so now I am writing everything in my clown makeup 🤡

I really like how the characters played by JJay and Fuaiz meet the same way in each universe. Fuaiz stands in the doorway and JJay has an ✨epiphany✨

I’m a random person who follows Buddie social media and hasn’t watched an entire episode ever (sorry, I’ve seen many edits and know some lore)

I LOVE fan theory so I’m curious what yall think of a couple of options for Eddies future (involving Chris mostly)

1. Chris says to Eddie that he wants to go back to LA, they reunite with buck

Eddie is compelled to go to LA (because he doesn’t like El Paso and has a job waiting for him) and tells Chris that’s what they’re doing (dad mode activated) (I know RG said the only thing that would bring him back is an emergency but he doesn’t write the show) (I struggle with this because Chris has built a life of friends in El Paso and I don’t know how Eddie would think it’s fair to take that from him) (yes I know Chris has connections in LA but still)

3. Eddie decides to go back to LA after an emergency shows him how much his chosen family matters (even from afar if he’s not physically involved) and wants to take Chris with him but grandparents protest in court and it is revealed that Buck is on the will lol. The judge/mediator says it’s up to Chris and we see Chris decide he trusts his dad (maybe Eddie lets him finish the school year in El Paso, or judge orders it, and Chris stays with grandparents temporarily so we get Eddie and buck solo house stuff :p ) (would be cute if buck went to El Paso to show up in court and judge has him go on the stand)

4. Buck travels to El Paso to proclaim his love (things are better not left unsaid and it’s important to him to do it in person), what happens leads to Eddie seeing them as a family unit (*cue flashback of previous family vibes*) and moves back to LA. Either Eddie has (a) already realized how he feels with his sexuality and with buck specifically (Eddie coma dream perhaps(?) lol) or (b) Eddie is oblivious and realizes as it happens.

Please comment <3 I would love to know how people feel about these possibilities and what qualms you’d have with them or if you’re on board.

I don’t think Gojo died dissatisfied, or with any regrets.

Just a personal opinion that I wrote on twitter/X but I also wanted to capture and put into words here.

I can see how and why it can be interpreted that he did die with at least 1-2 regrets. However... as I read and re-read and thought about it to the point of being overthunk (lol), I have come to conclude (for myself at the very least), that he died with peace in his heart.

First we see him grumble about being wrong about dying alone because he told Megumi this. Then, he said he had unfinished business with informing Megumi about his dad, to which being a largely accepting/stoic person (kinda like the “resignation man” thing again that Gege described him - not necessarily in a negative way) really helps, because he readily accepts that he left it to Shoko and would be taken care of on his behalf.

So with that regard, he was at peace.

Next, Gojo admitted that he couldn’t reach Sukuna, and for that, he was apologetic/sorry/regretful (Not so much disappointed, due to the usage of the phrase 申し訳なく which conveys more of a sense of humility and responsibility, rather than feelings of being let down).

This is an important one for me... because if we understand how human bodies work in real life, and also if we subscribe to some form of faith/spirituality (in this case maybe Buddhism), the physical body actually takes time to die and the soul therefore takes time to depart the body.

We see Gojo smirk at the end of Sukuna’s speech saying that Gojo had “cleared his skies” and would be remembered by him for as long as he lived.

This can be interpreted in two ways (or both) - one, that those words were conveyed and Gojo heard them, understanding that he did reach Sukuna in some way. And 2nd that he smirked knowingly that he could “bet on the future” / the next generation, with what Yuta would do with his body…

Which also aligns with his soft reaction to what Nanami said about betting on the future. Gojo did his best with his students too.

So much so that he jokes with Yaga that he was wrong about sorcerers all dying with regret!

So with the body taking time to die, I see it as something similar with what happened with Jogo and Choso - their last moments took some time to happen.

As Jogo was burning, he met with his friends and had his send-off / acknowledgment from Sukuna that he was strong, that it was fun, and that he could stand proud. Jogo died feeling he had worth and believed he would reunite with his friends.

As Choso was shielding Yuji (I’m still not recovered from this btw) he also had his send-off at the long table with Yuji. He died protecting his brother, which gave him absolute meaning and purpose as a human being and not a curse. Similar situation at the end can be said about Nanami (arguable whether the process of dying was beginning to happen with his hallucinations of being at the beach) with his brief send-off with Haibara standing before him. They were consolidating their lives at their final moments. Expressing any regret/sorry’s helped them pass on peacefully. I’ll spare you the picture of mortally wounded Nanami 😢

Another one I won’t put a pic of would be Hajime’s death where he and Sukuna have an exchange too. I don’t know if he died with regret or not, but he got his answer at the very least - what he was searching for.

As for Nobara, we see her with the chairs, her thoughts and reflections - saying her farewells / apologies, and finally concluding that her life wasn’t so bad 😢

Those with mortal wounds to the head seem to die a little more immediately, so their vision of salvation / death dream / whatever you want to call it - appears to happen a little bit earlier. But it doesn’t stray too far from the theory that a “good death” comes to some of the characters in the jjk world and it exists in a space... uhh... we can describe as “between dream and reality”??? 🫣 idk about what/who is right or wrong. We know different characters have different theories about things - just like in real life I guess. Nevertheless I (as a reader) want to believe there is some kind of afterlife.

Back on topic: Gojo’s other “disappointment” was that he wished that Geto was there to “pat him on the back”. He would have been satisfied if Geto was there.

And now, well, Geto was there. Flowery speech bubbles and all. So I think the fact that he was with him as a soul, reunited, was enough of a pleasant surprise.

Enough for Gojo to go into “husband is home from a hard day’s work - time to let go and grumble” (lol). And Geto wasn’t a flower because Gojo wanted him to understand him, so I can see how this was satisfying for Gojo, who felt he wanted to catch up to Geto.

Narratively/Thematically it also makes sense that Gojo was at Geto’s end (sending him off), and Geto was at Gojo’s end (picking him up). You know... “you’re late”x2 “you’re early”? “I was left behind”x2 “I have to catch up?” (These two were just busy chasing each other).

Yeah. It wouldn’t take away the satisfaction over all that happened just because Geto wasn’t there to pat him on the back - because then dying would leave him behind. And crucially, Gojo prayed that being there at the airport wasn’t a dream. So he was satisfied with being reunited and being there with everyone.

My conclusion is basically this: I think that Gojo fully died physically when he smirked. A human body left to bleed out with a wound like that would take time to stop functioning. But we know that mercifully he was mostly dead, which was why his consciousness was at the airport. Arguably, where his soul needed to be. He would’ve internalised Sukuna’s message as his body physically died, which could explain why it reacted.

So if we believe that it wasn’t just a hallucination and there is an afterlife (there are many reasons to believe there is, with talk of soul resonance, reincarnation, etc.), just as how Geto knew Gojo fought Sukuna, the souls in the afterlife have awareness of what goes on in the world of the living.

I’m pretty certain that one way or another, Gojo would have received the knowledge that Sukuna had praise for him, even if he couldn’t reach him with his humanity. So there were essentially no “regrets”.

Gojo was satisfied with having left the information for Megumi for Shoko to deliver, with how he died in battle to someone stronger, that he was able to satisfactorily go all out & felt he had fun, that Sukuna acknowledged him, that he could bet on the future, and that he was also reunited with Geto & his friends from his youth.

Yes, so… I believe that Gojo died satisfied.

A/N: Soups up. You know I love angst... I have so many angsty (or at least I can make them angsty) requests at the moment. 2 f!Donnie fics in a row? It's more likely than you think...

Donnie was busy, of course he was busy. He's the smartest out of all the yo'kai, mutants, humans on base. At the moment he was studying some new Kraang tech a team brought in for him. He had been excited when it was placed on his desk, immediately working on it instead of continuing his conversation with you.

You quietly step into Donnie's lab, not wanting to distract him. He had told Leo he was close on figuring something out. You gently set a few papers, just reports and inventory, on his desk as well as some water and food for him. Always supportive, you press a kiss to his temple, letting your lips linger for a moment. "Are you coming to bed tonight?"

Donnie glances up from his work, he couldn't help but feel a small sense of irritation creeping up within him from your interruption. "The weight of the world rests on my shoulders, I have to keep working to find a way to stop the Kraang." He paused for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he continued. "I have important tests to run and calculations to make." With a dismissive wave of his hand, Donnie returned his attention to his work, clearly indicating he had no intention of joining you in bed.

Your heart breaks a little at his dismissal. "You could've just said no." You mumble, though you're not sure if he heard due to his focus. You wanted to kiss him again, but based on how he spoke, you decided not to. "Goodnight, Donnie. Please at least make sure to eat." You say softly, hiding your frustration and sadness before heading off to bed.

Donnie's eyes flicked up from his work, barely catching the sadness in your voice. For a brief moment, he felt a pang of guilt. But he quickly dismissed it, burying himself deeper in his work. He didn't have time for distractions. As you left the room, Donnie didn't even turn to watch you go. But deep down, a part of him wished to prioritize you and your needs. Unfortunately, that part was overshadowed by his drive for scientific discovery and the weight of the world on his shoulders.

In the morning, you get ready for your normal duties around the base. You step back into the lab to leave, seeing Donnie engrossed in his work, his attention fixed on the task at hand. He doesn't even spare a glace your way, your heart sinking as you gather up the empty plates and completed reports.

You watch him for a moment, feeling a mix of frustration and sadness welling up inside you. With a heavy sigh, you decide to respect his space and silently leave the lab. You hope one day he will notice your efforts and appreciate the support you provide, but for now, you continue your duties.

The rest of the day, you handed off tasks that required going to Donnie's lab. As much as you yearned to see him, you couldn't stand it. But soon night fell and the only place to go was back to bed.

Donnie barely registered your presence as you entered the lab. His eyes remaining focused on the screen in front of him, his mind consumed by calculations and theories. When you pressed a short kiss to his temple, he barely reacted, his focus unwavering.

Donnie finally looked up from his work when you left without a word, a hint of confusion flashing across his face. He watched you go, a mix of emotions swirling within him. Part of him wanted to call out to you, to apologize for his single-mindedness and selfishness. But the stubborn side of him refused to admit his own faults.

With a sigh, Donnie returned his gaze to his work. Deep down, he knew he had taken you for granted. But for now he continued to toil away, convinced that his pursuit to defeat the Kraang was more important than anything else.

It continued like this for weeks, almost months. Your heart aching, sleep lacking. Donnie seemed to only got to bed if you weren't there.

Did he hate me? Did he realize that he no longer wants me around?

One day though, you had to be on night watch so you decided to sleep in the middle of the day.

As you entered the lab, the emptiness weighted heavily on you. The absence of Donnie's presence intensified the ache in your heart. With each step you felt unsure of where you stood in his life anymore.

When you reached your bedroom and saw Donnie peacefully sleeping, a part of you yearned to crawl into bed beside him, to seek solace in his embrace. But the fear of upsetting him held you back. He hadn't wanted to be in bed with you in weeks, why would he now?

Instead, you grabbed your pillow and silently retreated to the couch in his lab, resigning yourself to sleep in solitude. You lay on the couch, surrounded by the paraphernalia of Donnie's scientific pursuits, a wave of sadness crashes over you. You couldn't help but wonder if he still wanted you around, if he still cared about your presence. The doubts and insecurities ate away at you, leaving you feeling empty and alone.

Despite the pain, you had remained quietly supportive, hoping that one day Donnie would realize the impact his distance was having on you. In the darkness of the lab, you clung to the hope that he would wake up and see how much you longed for his love and attention.

Things I want to happen in future Dead Boy Detectives seasons

-Edwin and Crystal bonding over their grief about Niko's “death”. Both blame themselves for what happened and still have nightmares of Niko's body, so they turn to each other for comfort and a beautiful new bond is built between them. They're still catty and bitchy to each other, but in a more loving and playful way

-Maybe an unpopular opinion but I really don't want Payneland to get together in this season, purely from a narrative perspective. I would much prefer for Charles to slowly put the pieces together and realize he has been in love since that night in 1989, but confused those feelings for a strong friendship due to the rampant homophobia of the AIDS crisis and his own father being an asshole. It would make any future intimate moments with Edwin feel more special and carry so much more weight, especially since he KNOWS that Edwin is in love with him back, he just has to figure out what these feelings mean. Plus, the idea of him being all bashful and excited of being loved by TWO amazing people is good therapy for all the bullshit he had to deal with when he was alive, let my boy have that.

-Please please please let Charles get some closure on his past. As in he gets to haunt his murderers for an episode or stand up to his father, but that’s me wanting him to get some well-deserved revenge

-PLEASE give Crystal her own closure too! Personally, I would love to see her stand up to her parents and eventually cut them out of her life, but that's just me loving the narrative of cutting toxic parents out of your life. Also let her find a way to kill David because being buried underneath that damn tree isn't good enough for me

-Honestly we would to see an exploration of Edwin's family and the fact he was alive when the first world war happened. There could be a lot of unpacked trauma there (whether it's from the religious views of the time, societal expectations/pressures, or from his own parents) and how it shaped Edwin into the person we know now

-NIKO NEEDS TO RETURN (idk if she's a ghost or a demon or whatever now but she needs to come back and still be her bubbly self, I love her too much). My theory is that the Principal is her ancestor and her coming back could somehow link back to her father's death

-FLASHBACKS TO OLD CASES

-GALA EPISODE! No, listen, this only serves the purpose of getting to see them dressed up and the episode itself being pure shipping fuel

-More low-stake episodes, at least in the beginning

-More monsters-involved cases, such as vampires or dragons or werewolves. As someone with an unhealthy obsession with monsters, this would be a delight

-St Hilarion's being fucking burned to the ground (Crystal needs to do it, I will accept no other way)

-Esther Finch was such a fun antagonist for the first season, but I would want the next antagonist (regardless if they’re introduced in the second season or later on) to be a little more threatening. Still campy as fuck but maybe someone who has more of an active role in being an asshole. A demon would be a huge leap from a small-town witch who sacrificed young girls to stay youthful, so maybe a formerly-possessed psychic (which would parallel Crystal’s storyline) could work.

-And finally, the agency adopts a not-so-normal dog. While a ghost dog would make sense, it would be funnier if it was a hellhound or some kind of mythical creature they just picked up on a case. Niko wanted it so they could be more like Mystery Inc.

Hazbin Hotel Ep 8 Ramble and Theory

⚠️ SPOILERS!! ⚠️

Surprisingly, the show’s first season really got me hooked with its storyline and I can’t wait what’s in store for the upcoming season 2.

I’ve had my suspicions with Alastor since the pilot, and it just keeps growing with every episode. Even then, his real motivations are just hard to really see and it’s what makes his character intriguing. One moment, he’s lurking in the shadows like some sort of villain, and then the next, we see him maaaybe caring for his friends?? If he even considers them that. Idk 🤷

I’ve always thought that maybe he’s sticking around and playing nice to get Charlie’s guard down in the long run. Waiting for her to get desperate so he can strike a deal with her. So he could ask her for any favour in the future. And guess what? That’s what he exactly does in Ep 7.

And if I’m recalling correctly, Alastor helped Charlie with the war, but Charlie is yet to grant her own end of the deal. Alastor STILL is owed a favour from her.

(Where am I going with this theory and analysis? I’m getting there-)

At one point, maybe he did genuinely care for the hotel and the people in it. Regardless what his motives were. He even admits it’s a “surprising thrill” to watch them form connections. But the word choices he uses in this scene are just sooo…weird?

“Almost??” “Could get accustomed??”

It sounds like he admits feeling attached to the other characters but at the same time, doesn’t want to commit to it. Does he have far more nefarious intentions in mind for them and that’s why he’s so distant?

Alastor probably noticed this in the ending of Ep 8 too. His altruistic self almost got control of him. He almost risked his life to help his “friends.” And he didn’t like that one bit. Perhaps, he sees this trait as a weakness.

It really sounds like the verse“Great Alastor Altruist died” is equal to him stating that “there’s no more Mr. Nice Guy” from now on. He’s disconnecting and staying firm to whatever his highly vague motives are. And it’s highly likely that whatever’s holding him back from his full power is the deal he made itself. And he’s going to try anything to get out of it. Maybe that’s the reason why he approached Charlie in the first place.

And I’m going back to Charlie’s deal with him here. The only condition she has is that she won’t harm anyone for him. But knowing Alastor, he’s going to twist the words a bit there. Maybe he won’t harm them physically. But maybe in some other way. Indirectly. One that Charlie won’t see in the long run. Maybe he uses this one favour to help him break free of this deal or loosen it in some way.

And Charlie already has so much trust in him after the battle, she most likely won’t see it coming. It’s perfect.

(Not exactly sure how these soul contracts work buuut, she’s the princess right? Maybe she’s powerful enough to do smth about it? Maybe that’s why Alastor was so interested to gain her trust and potentially free himself?)

But anyway! Onto the second part of my theory!

Alastor’s probably going to optimise his one chance of freedom through Charlie’s owed favour. But I have a feeling he’s not only going to use just Charlie.

Who else is at the hotel that the other main cast members trust? Who he could freely command under his control? To show up at his will? Answer his beck and call? Whose souls that Alastor owns?

I swear. It is NO ACCIDENT that these two were standing side by side. NEXT TO ALASTOR. In the ending. (Or maybe I’m overanalysing, but whatever. This is MY ramble)

When Alastor comes back from the “dead”, everyone was happy to see him. Especially Charlie. And surprisingly Vaggie? I guess she’s warming up to him. Idk if that’s good or not.

Everyone except Lucifer and Husk. Lucifer’s still bitter on the whole ‘dad’ thing. But I just really felt sooo bad for Husk here. 😂 My guy had maybe a few happy hours of what he thought was freedom. Then he sees this guy come back and he’s just: “Ahhhh… SHT-!”

Now I’m just saying, I don’t think Alastor can just casually go up to Charlie and just easily demand that favour. Especially now that Lucifer might be staying around(?) Also, Alastor sounds like someone who would strategically play the long run if it means benefits. Albeit, less truly altruistic than before since that approach almost costed him highly.

He’s maybe going to have to pull some strings to really make Charlie feel like she HAS to do him a favour. To better solidify his chances and so she’s less likely to be hesitant/reluctant/suspicious. After all, Alastor is only owed ONE FAVOUR. Maybe he’ll pull some strings to win over Lucifer’s own trust too so he won’t be stopping Charlie? (I’m not sure, these two are not in good terms.)

(Look me in the eyes and tell me this is the face of someone who’s definitely not going to use this hotel for his own personal gain. Things are going to start getting ugly with Alastor’s new approach. I’m also still like 80% sure these 3 characters are placed together for a reason. It CANNOT be a complete coincidence, right?)

Now I’m really curious how Husk and Niffty would react under this sudden new approach. The angst potential here is smelling strong. It’s obvious that they’re starting to get highly attached to the hotel and really consider the others as friends. Something Alastor didn’t allow himself to.

And it’s not like they have a voice in the matter either. No matter what Alastor tells them to do to secretly manipulate things around the place so he’ll appear like he’s “helping out more.”

Who knows really? What kind of errands he’ll force them to do? “Mr. Nice Guy” is really no longer an option here. That guy is dead. Adam killed him.

And all at the same time, Alastor wouldn’t be breaking Charlie’s condition. He’s not making her hurt anyone at all. Just helping a good old pal, who’s done so much for her, to maybe loosen the constraints his deal has. Or whatever else he wants, I don’t fcking know-

(But Srsly though. The angst??? Niffty and Alastor are fond with each other, but Niffty is also starting to like her new friends too. Will that create some sort of rift? Niffty actually being hesitant??

And don’t even get me STARTED on Huskerdust. Like wtf-? Husk has already stepped out of line before and it left him completely shaken. What else could he do? And a heartbroken Angel finding out he’s behind all this when Husk is the first person to truly reach out to him? Husk not being able to meet his gaze out of guilt?? THE FCK-???)

Yeaaaahhh, can’t wait what Season 2 has for us all….

Sinsmas theories part 2

why did i think it would be a good idea to wait until 10:32pm to write the 2 posts about sinsmas i promised before christmas and now before new years

this one is going to talk about loona, the human family, and bc i came up with something else to talk about aka blitz and octavia im throwing that into here

first off loona and her role in the future of the series specifically with stolas and octavia

With Octavia, I see her playing a role similar to the role I'm hoping/guessing Vassago will play—helping Octavia see things from her father's point of view. However, based on their interactions in seeing stars or season 2 episode 2, I don't think she'll necessarily be nice about it like I imagine Vassago would be. i think she'd be like "yea, all this happened to him that made him do the shit he did but it doesn't excuss him for it. dads try their best but sometimes it isnt enough and what he did was shitty of him and you have the right to be mad about it, but ive been living around him for awhile now and you not being in his life has made him even more depressed and i saw how depressed he was before the whole ice queen elsa thing." perhaps they'd even become more sister like to each other or at least close friends. with stolas she's not going to be a replacement for octavia but i think she'd at least feel kinda bad for him and maybe nice-ish or nicer than she treats the others (blitz, moxxie, and millie). perhaps she even does the 'talk to octavia thing' for him so he feels better.

now the human family

Obviously, the mom is a stand-in for Stella, the dads are Blitz and Stolas, and the daughters are Octavia and Loona. The family in general predicts what the future of Blitz, Stolas, Loona, and Octavia's dynamic will be eventually/or at the very end of the series. Honestly, that's really all I have to say about them srry.

BONUS theory - blitz and octavia

whenever octavia reconnects with stolas thats gonna force blitz and octavia together. blitz is very much open to having octavia as a daughter of the sort however the 2 things octavia sees blitz are - a homewrecker and her dad's shitty boyfriend, that is literally his name in octavia's contacts. blitz will worm his way into octavia's heart (that could be literal with blitz being blitz) with the human family connections. not sure what the journey to them connectiong will look like thou other than take a long time.

anyway that is post one of two and post 2 will be coming out in like an hour or less :)

Running away when he gets caught by a big beefy man. Punching /slapping Tatiana when she “interrupts him” and slapping/punching Aphmau when she fails! Interesting… but most interesting of all to me was probably one of the most ofer looked things I think would be when he literally threw a wolf against a wall and saying it should be left out to die because it failed? Cute. Cute you could say… because why was there a parallel in the like s6 trailer??? When he was lying bloody and torn up on the ground Micheal said smth along the lines of “the only reason I’m letting you live is because Aaron’s not dead” (i don’t remember I don’t like hearing Micheal even breathe much less talk in a freak language.) WAITT SO YOU WERE CONSIDERING LEAVING HIM FOR DEAD BECAUSE HE FAILED YOU? Interesting interesting. It’s cute because after ein left the wolf for dead in the episode Aaron came in to save it and make it “feel better”. I might be reading into I know but Micheal is really Eins only ‘family’… and typically when your under this influence with someone like a friend or the DW (demon warlock) (in his case) you tend to think more highly of them because they’re all you’ve known, OR you’ve come to depend on them so you think more of the,,, and i believe that Micheal basically leaving him for DEAD like the wolf like ein did while also “healing him” like Aaron he’s trying to keep ein in his disposal use which is really hurtful to me.

AARON AND EIN SE… I MEAN FIGHT SCENE AND STUFF!!::

ooh you really thought I wasn’t going to talk about this. LMAO. Okay chat… first of all they were balding. Now onto the not so funny part… why was eins tail wagging? LIKE HELLO? “Ooh this guy almost killed me!” *my tail flicks so casually* no. Hold it right there… like his tail wagged/curled/flicked MULTIPLE TIMES “maybe it was just the force of his body moving” HE WAS STANDING STILL. He also lands on all fours which I found… cute? Idk tbh ein gets upset when Aaron says he’s not going to kill him saying “pfft… coward.” Aaron then picks him up by the throat ein grabs his wrist with both hand and squints his pathetic eyes at him then Arron said “I DIDNT SAY I WAS FINISHED. You’ll know what true suffering is!” As he says this Ein’s face softens and he lets go of Aaron’s wrist not trying to fright back anymore. Then he turns human and crashes out then starts PLEADING for Aaron to kill him “finish me!” And so on. “No one deserves to die…” hey yeah, no one deserves to be psychologically and physically tortured? Just saying… ALSO. A quick thing to point out when they first started throwing cheeks… I mean throwing hands Aaron punched a tree and it BROKE IN HALF. I cannot make this up. You were clearly trying to kill him but now that he wants to die you say “teehee I’m gonna be the hero now!” To who? Genuinely to who?

Shuffle of Love Card Analysis & Theories

So idk about anyone else but I'm currently getting re-sucked into my Descendants obsession lololol

Anywho, recently I've been learning more about gambling and playing cards and that has made listening to Shuffle of Love interesting.

Imma be honest a LOT of these theories are reaches. But where's the fun if they aren't?

First up: breakdown

"Got more aces up my sleeve I got tricks you've never seen" ok so this part is pretty self explanatory. I think most people know what "I have an ace up my sleeve" means. The WHY however might not be as well known. Within gambling aces are pretty powerful. Within Blackjack they can mean the number 1 or 11 which is a very good card to have as in Blackjack the goal is to get a number as close to 21 without going over. Having a card that can go from 11 to a 1 can keep you from loosing. In general aces are usually the highest ranking card in the game. Bonus if it's an ace of spades as in many games the person who holds the highest spade gets half the pot (the money) and there is no spade that's of higher rank than an ace. Now what really caught my eye about this lyric was that Bridget is saying she has MULTIPLE aces up her sleeve. Usually the phrase is "I have AN ace up my sleeve" one ace not multiple. So this is saying that she has multiple tricks left. Having an ace up your sleeve is good in gambling if your good with quick hand changes as you can switch out a bad card you were dealt with a good card. However you do risk getting caught. And I'd imagine that while having multiple aces up your sleeve will give you a major advantage it also becomes that much more likely that you will be caught. A single deck of cards only has 4 aces. If the dealer gets back the cards every time and your not able to make that switch back in time, they're going to figure out that your cheating just from the amount of aces that are in the deck. Does this mean anything in regards to Bridget? No idea.

"Pick a card, any card What it is, don't say Is it the queen of hearts My favorite all day 'Cause I'm all about love (about love) And I got it in spades (in spades) Makes you wanna move Watch me levitate" So this stanza is interesting. So there's the obvious part of "Queen of hearts my favorite all day." because she IS the princess of hearts and future queen. But I'm more curious about the fact that she says "I got it in spades" now this is probably just the song writers using as many card phrases as they can. Having something in spades has been a way of saying you have lots of something for a long time. But card wise the ace is the most powerful suit in the deck. So it's interesting that the most powerful suit in the deck in the exact same stanza as her future title. Furthermore in the stanza just before the chorus it had her talking about the aces. The ace of spades has been nicknamed the death card due to how powerful it is. And I just find it interesting that she's kind of tied her future title with the death card in this song. Especially since her catchphrase will be "off with their head!"

"Jack of diamonds, night is shining Got me flying, let me show you how it's done (ooh)" This one also stands out a lot to me cuz WHY jack of diamonds? I assume they chose diamonds for lyric flow due to it having the most syllables out of the four options: heart, spade, diamond, club. But why the jack? It doesn't seem to have to with rhyming, so why not king, queen, ace or any of the numbers? Why Jack? Jack of diamonds isn't even one of the important jacks as the one eyed jacks are the jack of spades and the jack of hearts.

Furthermore the jack of diamonds might actually have some significance as it's one of the few named card guards (the jack of diamonds was the Captain of the guards that Red said 'off with his hat' to) and in one of the promos for the movie where Red was using her mother's cards to read her future when she asked "will I at least make any friends?" she pulled a jack of diamonds. Now this is shown to not be that important in that same promo as Red explained that black means no and red means yes. However her next question "will all my problems magically disappear? Uh oh, Queen of Hearts, my mom. That can't be good." Now according to what Red said the fact that it was her mom's card shouldn't have mattered just the fact that it was red, which means yes. Now we know in the movie that this prediction came true as she and Chloe went back in time and magically fixed all of Red's problems. But her reaction tells us that the card might still have had some meaning. So what is the significance of the jack of diamonds? They could have used literally any red card. So that's 13 diamond cards and 12 heart cards (minus the queen for obvious reasons) that they could have used, making for a total of 25 options. So why the jack of diamonds? I just find it interesting that this one specific card has been used 3 times.

And one more thing I should mention before I get into crazy theories. So cards have gone through a couple changes over the decades. Originating in China CE1000. Then they went to Egypt and blah blah blah. Not important for this. (Though I will say it's very fascinating) Point is due to how old playing cards are and how they moved through different cultures it went through a lot of changes. So before we had the face cards we know today of King, Queen, and Jack they were King, Knight, and Knave. A knave far as I can tell seemed to be interchangeably used as a title of a servant within the castle or just a word used for commoners. It also has the definition of a person who is dishonest or untrustworthy.

Ok I think that's all the analysis and backstory stuff. ONTO THE FUN AND INSANE.

What if them using jack of diamonds so many times is because he does have some significance? Maybe he's Red's father? Maybe he just used to be a good friend of Bridget's and that's why he's the captain of the crimson army rather than the jack of hearts.

Now let's get a lil crazier with our theories

The song goes "Jack of diamonds, night is shining Got me flying, let me show you how it's done (ooh)" what if this is them actually foreshadowing the prank? (assuming they'll ever tell us what it was) See if we think of it as the knave of diamonds rather than the jack of diamonds suddenly it becomes a lil more curious.

As we've already established a knave is someone who is dishonest or untrustworthy, a villain. Or a VK perhaps? If we try to assign it to someone it very well it could go to any of one within Uliana's gang. So lets think of it as BOTH the definition of rank and dishonest.

Uliana: Is a commoner and dishonest - check

Hook: Is a commoner and dishonest - check

Maleficent: I'm not entirely sure what her status is considered but we know from the og animated movie that she has her own castle and it was considered a great insult when the King and Queen did not invite her to Aurora's birthday especially when all the commoners were. So it can be inferred that she is some kind of royal or at least of high status. She is dishonest. - no

Hades: God King of the underworld and dishonest - no

Morgie: Here's where it gets curious. We don't know anything about him. Morgana le Fay does not exist in the Disney movie about King Arthur, The Sword in the Stone. They replaced her with an original character Madame Mim. So we don't know what Morgie would be considered. All we really know is that since he was so proud to introduce himself as her son is that she is likely a powerful sorceress and likely evil and he's proud to walk in her footsteps. But we don't know if they're just changing the name back and having her be the exact same as Madame Mim or if they're following one of the myths for her. Furthermore there are so many different versions of the myth we don't know which Morgana is in reference to Descendants. In some myths she's Arthurs older sister, in some younger sister, in some they're not related at all. And in some of the myths she's not even evil and is instead a healer and wise woman. But for the fun of insane theories lets say that they go with her being Arthur's sister. So that would make Morgie the nephew of the king. Now it's possible this comes with a title but I don't think it does and even if it did as Audrey mentioned in the first movie to Evie that all villains were stripped of royal status when they were sentenced to the Isle I think it's safe to say that Arthur would have done the same to Morgana (stripped her of royal status not send her to the Isle, that doesn't exist yet). But he may have wanted to keep his nephew close and attempt to keep him away from his mother's influence. So perhaps he grew up in the castle. And you can't have a non-royal child running around a castle, so perhaps he was raised as servant to the royal family and then as he and his powers grew was sent to Merlin Academy to be under the watchful eye of Merlin. Meaning he would be a knave in every sense of the word. A commoner, a servant, and someone who is dishonest and untrustworthy. - check check checkity check

Furthermore we know that Descendants is using the serpent imagery that is often associated with Morgana le Fay as Morgie says "Son of Morgana, serpentine" And as any artist would tell you, diamond shapes do look an awful lot like snake scales.

So the more you think about it, the more it sounds like Morgie is the literal picture of the knave of diamonds. Or rather the jack of diamonds.

And as we know from the deleted scene, he's the one who got the sorcerer's cookbook.

"Jack of diamonds, night is shining Got me flying, let me show you how it's done (ooh)"

"Night is shining" could very easily mean Castlecoming.

"Got me flying" might be a reference to the prank. We know that Uliana doesn't just want ANY revenge, if she did she would have gone with make her walk the plank, prick her with a thousand thorns, or burn her to a crisp, no she wants to get EVEN. Uliana blames Bridget for essentially turning her into a bird. So maybe this lyric is more literal than we all originally thought and it's actually hinting that Morgie managed to use the cookbook and get a bird themed revenge on Bridget. Maybe the flying is very literal as birds are known for their flight.

We might literally have a who, where, and what right there in the song.

Plus with that being the last stanza before the final chorus and then they show us Bridget looking into the Looking Glass to see her future as the evil Queen of Hearts? They could have put anything as the final stanza for that song. Why have it be talking about the jack of diamonds and not the queen of hearts?

…or maybe they just pulled a Carrie and dumped a bucket of blood on her. Who knows. (well probs not that cuz kids movie) I'm definitely overanalyzing this. Like I said earlier "insane theory" but I'm having fun.

Rassilon has a workshop (his foundry) that he keeps a few seconds out of time to hide/protect it

I really like getting to see the bits of political turmoil during rassilons time (and with that the dislike of rassilon by some people) when on modern gallifrey he’s pretty much considered to be a god

‘Old high gallifreyan, not spoken for millenia’

‘Cardinal rassilon’ → in politics, but not currently leading

‘For someone who speaks the ancient language’ → this time is often presented as the beginning of time lord history (well i guess it is, since the time lords themselves are fairly new here), but if old high gallifreyan is considered to be ancient, that means gallifreyan society goes back much further

‘The officially appointed committee of three’ → idk what this actually is but it is the provost (head of arcalian houses) (also a vampire), the great mother (head of sisterhood of karn?), and someone else

Vampires on gallifrey (‘the ancient enemy’) → doesn’t seem like that’s a common thing, but also the great mother seems pretty unsurprised

Okay, so they’re pretty much extinct at this point (hunted them down with bowships)

OUIDA: These Black Scrolls suggest you have been systematically interfering with Gallifreyan physiology.

TEPESH: What is the Rassilon Imprimatur? These symbiotic nuclei?

Something something the symbiotic nuclei being created alongside the Rassilon imprimatur → Rassilon didn’t invent time lords and then give them living technology to bind with, he invented time lords to be able to bond with living technology (idk if that wording quite makes sense, but I hope my point gets across)

‘Cardinal Rassilon has been researching a method of regenerating diseased and decaying tissue. By a series of permanently carried self-replicating biogenic molecules, the cells of a Gallifreyan body can be repaired, restored and reorganised. This will result in a wholly new physical form. The brain cells will similarly be rearranged although to a lesser degree, thus ensuring the new incarnation will replicate the memories and personality of the former incarnation. Cardinal Rassilon intends for this method to only be used upon the Gallifreyan elite. He has also inputted a parameter of twelve regenerative cycles to avoid decaying biogenic molecules’ → explanation of regeneration

Also this is not my font of science so take everything I’m about to say with a grain of salt, but could the regenerative molecules be compared to a type of ‘advanced’ stem cells? Idk, all I really know is that stem cells can be used to regenerate tissues to an extent because they can become other types of cells (i think, again, I’m an ecologist so correct me if I’m wrong) and I think it’s fun to try and make these things make actual sense

Also this has some interesting implications for regenerative cycles, did Rassilon test for how many regenerations it took for these molecules to decay, I would assume he did, and then how much of a buffer does 12 leave, is that far from when they start decaying, or right when they do (and as we see in other stories, there are regenerative disorders, so clearly they have the ability to decay and/or malfunction long before 12 regenerations). Also how does he control that limit, are the molecules just programmed to completely break down, that would make the most sense (to me) (though we do later see that even on his last regeneration the doctor has some ability to use regenerative energy, but that happened later and whoever wrote that episode (I’m not looking it up, I don’t care enough for that) probably didn’t care enough to analyze this little bit from a four hour long audio to make sure it made sense with the established lore). And does this mean that receiving a new regenerative cycle is just being given more of whatever these molecules are or do you retain them and then they are reactivated (and does that mean that additional regenerative cycles have more opportunities for things to go wrong with regeneration since the molecules would be more likely to start decaying the longer they are in use)

CHARLEY: What is this race like?

RECORDER: Exact specifics are unavailable. However, Cardinal Rassilon believes Humanian life, the basic physical form examplified by Gallifreyans, to be the only essential form of life. He rationalises that for the universe to continue existing beyond the ten thousand millennia indicated previously, the unnamed creatures should be destroyed. All life not conforming to the Gallifreyan standard should be destroyed. To this end, Cardinal Rassilon researched life on two hundred and seventy eight thousand planets. Of those, sixty nine thousand contained sentient life. To those, Cardinal Rassilon sent, via manipulation of the space time vortex, a self-eradicating set of biogenic molecules with enough power to rearrange the cellular structure of each planet's dominant lifeform, so it would take on Gallifreyan physiology and would continue to evolve along those lines. All other lifeforms will become extinct within six thousand spans.

This is important lore wise, but also a lot, so i’m just copying it from the transcript, cliffnotes below

All futures become web of time, no free will → something to do with fixed points? The establishment of the web of time seems to lock events into place

Creation of universe led to creation of a race of creatures

Rassilon thinks the humanoid form is superior and so sent what’s basically a virus to inhabited planets to rearrange their forms to make them humanoid (and therefore more like gallifreyans)

I am once again asking how long a span is, rassilon has been doing this research for 70 spans and has gotten a good deal of stuff done, so it’s got to be a somewhat significant amount of time, but we also see micro spans treated like second

Rassilon creates an alternate timeline to trap the creatures → seems that it’s possible to split off a timeline and not become part of it (also it’s an alternate timeline that’s shouldn’t exist, which implies that alternate timelines are a normal part of the web of time) (also very interesting given the ‘alternative realities are not a possibility’ thing from only a bit earlier)

‘You know you really are a fraud, don't you. I mean, you let Omega and Vandikirian go to their deaths, and you get the credit for discovering time travel. Then you capitalise on your hounding to almost extinction my Vampire Lords and the Great Mother's witches’ → wow this guy sucks

Omegas star → Rassilons star, renaming of the black hole (presumably the one that’s going to become the eye of harmony) for the sake of rassilons reputation

‘You came to our world five hundred years ago’ → so even before regeneration it seems that Gallifreyans were pretty long lived (time travel does also get mentioned here, but I’m choosing to believe that it’s a lifespan thing, since we know that even within one body, time lords live a long time)

Also the way this is sort of talked about as Rassilon going on sort of victory trip that involves genocide

‘We drank the blood of the genetically bred mindless animals we harvested. We never touched sentient life until you came with your Bow Ships and your harpoons and your moralistic purges. You chased my people to the ends of the universe beyond. Why? Because we couldn't fight back. Because like all bullies, you found a race of people content in their lives, doing nothing to harm anyone else in the galaxy, and you cleansed us!

So it was less a war with the great vampires and more Rassilon just decided to kill them

I like how even though the tardis we see is the part possessed by Zagreus she is still clearly an active character, she’s trying to show Charley things, I like how they have the tardis communicating in an unconventional way given that it’s a psychic machine

Also how does the tardis know all this stuff, especially the ancient gallifrey things, because this is presumably pre matrix (and well, it’s not like Rassilon would exactly want this recorded in the matrix either way)

Amusement park built in the ruins of gallifrey → ‘A broken rock floating around a dead star. The planet was terraformed by the Galactic commission and we were settled here’ → is this an actual event? It is at the end of the universe, but then how would the tardis know this, or is it a similar concept to a matrix projection, this is what the future looks like based on compiled information and algorithms (also something something the inevitability of the destruction of gallifrey)

Wonderland built atop rassilons foundry → which means that it then exists throughout the history of gallifrey, it remains there until the end

Academy vortisaur races (yes, yes, i know this if from romana’s fanfiction, but it’s got to be based in some truth)

Brax starts his address to romana with the same formal greeting that vansell did in the apocalypse element (may the sash of rassilon protect you, etc.)

Etheric activity negative’ → the implication here feels like minds from the matrix can just project themselves anywhere, how pervasive is the matrix on gallifrey then, is it sort of like radio waves where you can kind of just pick them up anywhere (and is it everyone in the matrix that can do this, or only some time lords)

Okay so rassilon is in the matrix, but he is using leela specifically so that the matrix won’t see what he is doing, how does that work, also i assumed that a mind being in the matrix was more just a copy of it being downloaded, not the mind itself, but it seems that at least rassilon can act independently of the matrix (and is able to possess leela)

Can you just open matrix doors from anywhere? I mean it seems so as long as you have the right technology to do so

The dark tower probably wasn’t sealed off in ancient gallifrey like it is now (or well, off limits, clearly you could still get into it given the events of the five doctors), this makes sense with what we heard about the game of rassilon earlier, was probably where spectators watched the games

DOCTOR: It would have taken countless billions of years to be in with a chance. A solar system still-born and for why? Because the great Lord Rassilon is scared he might not keep up with the Joneses.

RASSILON: Territorial disputes are the enemy of progress. How could our empire ever expand if all its efforts were to be centred on war after war after tiresome war? But that it what I foresaw in this instance.

DOCTOR: Oh, I see. So let's get them before they get us.

RASSILON: Something like that.

DOCTOR: Does your paranoia know no bounds?

Rassilon refers to the tardis as ‘friend tardis’ while he refers to the time lords as his children or ‘children of time’ → well, we know he created the time lords, but what are the origins of tardises then

Rassilon’s workshop separated from normal space through a reality lock, ring is used as a sort of key to it
