For many of years I had this tradition of drawing Wirt and the beast once a year to see how much I have improved, then depression hit in 2023 and couldn't continue, but it left so really amazing art in the process

one thing i have to hand to people online who leave reviews on obviously low budget westerns is that at least they don't complain that it's an obviously low budget western. it seems that i can't say this for some of the people leaving reviews on obviously low budget queer movies

mature enough now to state that thrawn (2017) would have been better if eli went with arihnda to get her parents and died there, thereby setting up the status quo seen in rebels, carrying through the narrative symmetry already established by the rest of the novel, and demonstrating to both the protagonist and audience once and for all the morals and qualities that the empire will not abide

#thrawn 2017 #fuck it main tagging. I want to hear from others #honestly once I started thinking about this I haven’t been able to stop. the interrupted symmetry is maddening #like I get it get that trilogy money but also. it would be so much more impactful if this is what happened #back in late 2021/2022 I wrote something in this vein but I chickened out and had him live #maybe once rec is done or if I have free time during orientation I’ll do a rewrite?

Studies of how the design of my first fursona, bandit, changed over the years. Interesting to literally nobody but me.

#when i first drew her i had no idea what i was doing that was literally the beginning of my art career right there #but her design was all over the place at the start #i tried to approximate for her first design #and then theres a couple other major designs that appeared #the golden age was when she got her first ACTUAL ref sheet #so until then she was VERY inconsistent #then after the golden age was a major break from when i stopped using her in like 2017 to when i first rebooted her in 2022 #i honestly just like revisiting her and playing around which has resulted in a mess but i wanted to TRY to deconstruct it #because i really do find it interesting trying to work out what on earth posessed me to design her the way i did in each phase #its a great microcosm of my entjre art career haha #talky #literally nothing #bonus #doodles #wips #my art #bandit strype #bandit #i really do enjoy my 2023 reboot. thats the colourful one 2nd to last #but i dont think it was very bandit. it looked a bit like a different character #i think the newest one does a much better job at honouring her past and is more unique and interesting in my opinion #23 looks like a new character which is cool but 25 looks like bandit but years years later #and yet i still managed to keep the cool hair and eyes from 23

Packing my Switch for the weekend as I do every week but it feels different now. Weirdly emotional. Knowing the new one gets here on thursday...

#not with the same blog of course this one's only been around since 2022 #i've had 3 blogs but i don't think the other two are around anymore #first one i made in october 2015 (so not quite ten years but close to it??) and it was just fandom-y thirteen-year-old stuff #second was i thiiiink either late 2016 or early 2017 and that was mostly just ghostbusters/snl/etc.#then i left tumblr from like late 2018 - march 2022 so yeah technically i haven't been active on the website for this entire time #but even when i haven't been using tumblr i've always been a tumblr user lmao

I don't really have idk definitive favorite things like that there's always new stuff to be watched and played and enjoyed and I don't think I can ever be the most passionate about 1 thing y'know. but lemme think games I've played in the past years I really liked... legends arceus absolutely must be mentioned. indivisible. deltarune I love the characters in that game I'm so excited for the rest. mario/rabbids kingdom battle (1st one. second one wasn't as good imo). ace attorney (trilogy and 5 I very much enjoyed but esp the main trilogy). and night in the woods which was a good while ago but it still stuck w me.

#those range from like 2022-2017 or whenever nitw came out #i know splatoons one of my things so its funny that i dont list it but i like games with stories as the primary focus and splatoon is #mostly shooter. though the story and characters it has are amazing #asks #anon
