There is something inexplicably hilarious to me about the entire TRC fandom being able to draw an ace-coded interpretation about nearly every character - Blue and Gansey always read very ace spectrum coded to me, one could argue Ronan is on a demisexual wavelength (or he's just catholic), aroace Henry interpretations, Noah gets a lot of asexual headcanons too.

Adam, though? We've all collectively agreed that that motherfucker is ready to fucking go. Mr. Touch starved, "hi literal soulmate I drove eight hours for birthday sex", "wow my murderous Latin teacher is hot", "I have had a girlfriend for a week and I want to kiss her right NOW" "had been starving for much longer" "now that we've made out once we are living on a farm and raising a dream child together let me look at your tattoo RIGHT NOW no conversation we are kissing now lets go bang in the laundry room" "i keep a pinup of a car model in my glovebox" Adam Parrish has dodged these interpretations on a widespread scale solely by having r-rated thoughts about every person he's found attractive in the series. “Ngh,” grumbles Xiao, his eyelids closed, still half asleep. He leans forwards and snakes his arms around your waist, burying his head into the crook of your neck. “What’re you doing?” he mumbles against your skin. His hair is slightly ticklish.  

“Nothing,” you reply softly. You tilt your head so it rests beside his. “Sorry for waking you.”

“‘S okay.” His arms tighten around your waist, drawing you closer still. After a brief pause, he begins peppering a slow, sleepy trail of kisses to your skin which traces up from your neck to behind your ear. Your heartbeat quickens at the sudden, somewhat uncharacteristic show of affection. 

“Xiao?” you ask in quiet voice, hardly daring to move lest you break this rare spell. 

“Mm?” He does not pause in bestowing his silent tokens of affection. 

“Are you alright?”

“Mm.”

Well, if he’s doing this completely of his own accord, then you’re hardly about to complain. It’s just… not often you see him like this, you suppose. You close your eyes and place your hands over his, stroking his knuckles with your thumbs. He begins to mumble something which you don’t understand between kisses. It takes you a moment to place, but you think he’s speaking… Chinese?

“我亲爱的,” Xiao says. He presses his lips to the crook of your neck. “我的心。我的小羽毛。我的世界。我会保护你。” You don’t know what it means, but something inside you flushes nonetheless. The way he says it sounds like a confession, almost sacred.

A few minutes later, the grip around your torso relaxes. His head falls forwards onto your shoulder, and his muttering is replaced with soft breathing. You stay utterly still, feeling like a little drop of something infinitely precious has just fallen into your hands, the likes of which can never be replicated. You close your palms around it and silently commit the moment to memory. Then you draw his arms back up around you and, leaning back against him, drift off.

Two things I’ll never understand:

Jason Todd being a “womaniser”

Idk wtf dc is on with this one but Jason Todd is not and never will be a womaniser. Like that man might be a 6 foot wall of muscles, trauma, and repressed emotions but he has zero to no experience when it comes to sex. He died as a virgin and was resurrected as one, he was groomed by Talia (acc to some canon representations, I think) so he already didn’t think of sex as this amazing or perfect thing and even if he does have sex where he feels comfortable and safe — he will cry, like who are you kidding??? Jason has mentioned that he can’t distinguish between romantic and platonic love, he’s always been too focused on his missions/job/goal to care about romance— where in the fucking hell is this guy getting time to fuck around with women??? Dc??? wtf????

Jason Todd being a cheater.

I get why people think this bcs other males in the Bat Family have not always been very… faithful, let’s say. But Jason Todd cheating on his woman??? NO FUCKING WAY. This man has had no glimpse of what a healthy and safe relationship is supposed to look like and if he finds someone who gives him that??? If he finds someone who loves him unconditionally, someone who sees behind the mask and loves the broken boy, someone who doesn’t flinch even when all of him is bare— I bet you my biscuits Jason would never even look at someone else let alone think about cheating. Jason Todd is not just any men — he’s the man. He’ll worship someone who gives him the love he’s always been deprived of. When he loves someone, he’s all in. He loves fiercely and loudly; that’s just who Jason Todd is. He’s never cheating. Period.

thank you! 💙💙💙 Leia/Leah/Lea/whatever is fascinating to me. she is the ultimate unknown. what was she like? how involved (or even aware of any details of the invasion) was she? Silver's basically a physical carbon copy of his biodad, so what did he get from her? like, I understand why the two of them kind of have to stay as these super vague and mysterious figures -- the whole point of them is that their story ended 400+ years ago and they're not really relevant anymore (and. well. the more that gets explained about them, the less that can just kinda be handwaved as "oh the politics were Very Messy") (we can sit here and theorize all day but let us acknowledge that, ultimately, canon gave us almost nothing about them post-Meleanor and we'd just be making things up). I do still wonder about her though! RIP Lea, we never knew you and we probably never will.

actually you know what, as long as we're here, I think I WILL go ahead and just make some stuff up about what Silver might've inherited from her instead.

Cause bioware released some game stats for veilguard and apparently 72% of players redeemed Solas which is like. Okay yeah the game kinda pushes you towards that. But when I think of all the shit I used to have to put up with just for enjoying Anders like at all and…

(This is not me being anti-Solas, I do not care if you love or hate him, but I am gonna say what he’s done is like. Objectively worse than literally every other companion so lmao. And that’s fine! You can still enjoy him! I’m not saying you can’t and it’s important to me that people understand that! I’m just saying he did in fact do objectively morally worse things in game than Anders did and I don’t think that’s really debatable. And I can’t really make my point here without saying that but I do want to make it clear this is not some moral condemnation of Solas enjoyers cause it’s not)

Getting anon hate on the regular, being told “oh you’re allowed to like Anders as long as you regularly talk about how much he sucks”, people gleefully describing how much fun they have killing him ON your posts about the fact that you like him, the devs making jokes about shitty fates for him when fans asked innocent questions about him, the absolute audacity of his writer to say half the shit she did in interviews (about bisexuality and mental illness, most critically), and then being beaten over the head again in inquisition about how Anders is the worst character to ever exist and there’s no redemption for terrorists who lie to you one time in the entire game and he deserves death or worse and that’s it

And now… 72% of people are down to redeem the guy who lies to you for 2 games straight and who did a lot of questionable things that includes creating the fucking blight and. Like. I guess I’m glad that Solas fans can live in a world where they aren’t constantly harassed and can give their ship like. A pretty damn good ending all things considered. And that the devs love Solas and actually give the option for that happy ending and have characters go to bat for Solas throughout the game and the most annoying thing they have to see are people making scrambled egg memes. I would not wish anyone to have to deal with the shit Anders fans had to put up with back then cause it sucked. It really sucked. And I’m glad it’s not being repeated with a different character, if nothing else

But like. Man there really is a difference when the writers actually like the character who does the thing, huh
