Is nudged! Gives snuggles back! Happy Porogun. Is clear that this is good. Friends! Shall compose one of the high coups that the humans love so much to commemorate this moment!
Golden sun shines down, Laughter shared with a dear friend, Warm hearts, spirits bright.
Tumblr media
It speaks! She wasn't expecting that! Still, she listens and wags her tail at the haiku offered up by the little creature. Small but cute, she liked it. This is relayed by a few licks to the little Porogun's face.

Posting my Silent Hill 2 OC
Content warnings: SA mentioned, terminally ill loved one, emotional abuse, mental abuse, internalized homophobia, mental illness, suicide mentioned, sexuality mentioned but not nsfw, emotional incest/parentification (this oc is just venting😭)
Tumblr media
Sorry it sucks, I'm no artist. Her name is Juda Toda and she's 18 years old. Here is the info:
Character Background:
Freshly cut hair and just graduated high school, Juda took a bus out of town to meet some friends for a weekend getaway in Silent Hill before college. But when a cold rain storm rolls in, bonfires and awkward small talk get waylaid.
Personality:
Empathetic
Stubborn
Mature/Adultified
Bubbly
Gloomy
Friendly
Distant
Outgoing
Self-aware
Intelligent
Cautious
Weapons & Skills:
Hand-to-hand combat-She has been a kickboxer since she was 14 and could deal some damage.
Slingshot-Carrying rocks will provide ammo, but weigh her down and make some noise. Good for long range.
Foldable knife-Good for close range, but dull.
Analysis-Frequently analyzes surroundings, situations, dynamics, and symbols, making her a smart person to have on a team as she comes up with out of the box solutions or ideas.
Inventory:
Earbuds-Juda has ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. She found that looping certain songs calm her down when she is anxious, overstimulated, or upset as long as the song has a repetitive structure, constant instrument in the background, and harmonized or softly sang. This is why her soundtrack tracks that loop during scenes when she's distressed.
Pen & Book-As the story progresses, her journal will be updated. Haikus and diary entries are used to convey her thoughts or emotions. Her pen is a fine needlepoint.
Foldable knife-Inherited from her late grandfather..... they were close.
Condoms-Gifted to her by a friend as a prank to "commemorate your womanhood" and with the hopes of Juda "scoring."
Relationships:
James: She met him at an intersection, and the two teamed up. While she does find him attractive, she never acts on it as she is well aware of how unethical and inappropriate it would be. The two relate to each other due to the mutual trauma of a terminally ill loved one. James with Mary and Juda with her grandpa. She doesn't trust him a lot since he's a much older man alone with her, but she figured she has no other choice. Juda is more than willing to attack if he were to try anything. She never truly rests when he is around. Juda eventually concludes that the two aren't so different, including with their shame towards their sexuality. When she finds out the truth, she condemns him for murdering Mary and distances herself with the suggestion that he turns himself in.
Angela: The two had a few encounters together and could relate to each other on a surface level. Both are victims of sexual assault except Juda's case was a girl slightly older than her as a child. By the time Juda met James a second time, Angela was gone.
Eddie: Acquaintances who met a few times, but Juda kept her distance since he "seemed off."
Maria: Initially, Juda didn't see her and thought James was either Schizophrenic or on drugs when he talked about Maria or talked to her in front of Juda. But then she saw the woman after entering Heaven's Night. Juda is flustered and attracted to Maria but wary. Over time, she warms up and starts to sympathize with Maria as she realizes Maria symbolizes her femininity, desires to embrace it, internalized misogny from long ago, and internalized homophobia.
Laura: Juda tries time and time again to take Laura under her wing to guide her or provide some sort of mother figure. These attempts are fruitless as Laura frequently insults her or runs away. Regardless, Juda tries and even offers to take Laura to the bus that took her to the town.
Gajida (OC): This is her father, and they are complicated. Juda loves him and vice versa, but Gajida has proven time and time again to be a poor parent. He expresses most of his love through emotional manipulation in fear of his favorite child leaving him. He hates to be alone and blurred the lines between a parental relationship and spousification. He is deeply stubborn and in denial of inflicting trauma onto Juda. He adultified her, making her care for her grandparents while he pushed them away. Juda resented him the day he laughed at her input as a child to treat his parents better because "you don't know what you have until it's gone." Her resentment grew over the years as grandpa grew sicker, and grandma grew more depressed while Gajida didn't step up. Eventually, his wife (her stepmom) pushed Juda out of the family by demonizing her mental illness and weaponizing her brothers while her father enabled her and didn't stick up for Juda. This deeply hurt Juda and made her suicidal with her attempting it at 14 years old due to her father's emotional abuse and her stepmom's influence. The two run into each other in Silent Hill, and it's up to the two to leave together and grow or go separate ways.... even if Juda has to cut ties. Gajida could see Maria, too, as she symbolizes his lust and infidelity.
Endings:
Sang Bu Sang Jo (To Give and Take)-To get this ending, Juda and Gajida must interact frequently, Gajida has to listen to James's intervention, contribute to solving puzzles, and James dies. Gajida has to read the locked books in the library as they are all actual things written by Juda in the past, he has to let Juda run away from the monster without him, he has to talk Juda with empathy, and lastly, take the therapist's and lawyer's phone numbers. The two will leave together with the promise of Gajida taking accountability for his actions and getting therapy with Gajida considering divorce. This is the true ending.
Ju Go Bat Da (To Give and Receive)-To get this ending, James must be ignored by Gajida or not intervene during their run-in, Gajida must not contribute, he has to read only the letters Juda wrote to him on his birthday and Father's Day, he has to stop Juda from running away, he has to ignore, dismiss, deny, or yell at Juda when she expresses concerns, and he has to leave without the lawyer and therapist's information. From there, the two leave together with Juda quietly sitting and Gajida feeling happy but not satisfied. This is the second worst ending for Juda.
Bajo El Cielo (Out Beneath The Sky)-To get this, James has to intervene Gajida and either be abandoned or he dies, Juda has to interact with Gajida as little as possible, actively shut him down during fights, lock Gajida in the cell and toss the key in the corner, must defeat her Mistress Mass Monster single-handedly, come to terms with her sexuality in Heaven's Night by staring at the posters and films, and keep to herself by limiting interactions with Eddie, Angela, and Gajida, but interact frequently with Maria, Laura, and James. Maria is the most important person for this ending. This is the best ending for Juda without her father.
¿Ahora qué? (What Now?)-To get this ending, Juda has to stay with James after finding out the truth, she has to shout at Laura to scare her away, she has to lock her father and throw the key far from his grasp, she has to deny Maria's existence. In the end, she will leave with James expressing remorse and will take a bus only to come back to Silent Hill. This is the worst possible ending for Juda.
Trivia (This could be updated at any given time(
Juda is mixed with Korean and Puerto Rican. Her name translated means "Give All."
Gajida's name translated means "Take" and the last name "Toda" means "all." The two's names together would literally mean: "Give All, Take All."

Silly Game Time: In honor of 200 SGTs (huzzah!), I'd like to commemorate with something special to me ... HAIKU TIME!
If you're unfamiliar, haiku is an ancient form of unryhming poetry originating from Japan. It is very short, being only three lines long. The first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7 syllables, and the third is 5 syllables again. If a novel is like a movie, then a haiku is like a snapshot.
If you need a theme, consider "Autumn". The language can be very simple, or you can try to be more complex if you want. The only real rule for haiku is 5-7-5, and that's it. Here are two examples I composed (one simple, one complex) while thinking about today's SGT.
I wonder, maybe it'll rain later today ... Maybe I'll make tea ...
Bobbing bubbles make ephemeral floatillas. Rain fills the gutters.
Restless days and nights... I yearn for a quick ride in The salad spinner
Ever-so-bright screens... Nights made of boring wonder, Clock-signal heartbeats
This doubles as a preview for my trick-and-treat box :3

Yo, that's insanse!! That's so many silly game times, congratulations!!! :D
I generally prefer my poetry to have as little rules as possible (cause I'm abysmal at counting syllables and I will genuinely just forget) but Imma make an effort for this special occasion.
Many SGTs Fill the participants with joy, exuberance.

200?! Holy shit, that’s so cool!
Congratulations!
(And to think that would sound just like a normal sentence if not for the weird spacing. Seriously though, congrats.)

Turning around, I see my shadow in the moonlight
by: Sumitaku Kenshin (Tr. Nakaoka Naomi & Kurose Hiroko)
The deadline for this challenge will coincide with the anniversary of Sumitaku Kenshin's death, so I thought it'd be appropriate to commemorate this remarkable poet with music from Naviar's community.
Sumitaku Kenshin was a haiku poet who practiced free-form haiku. He started writing poety after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and dedicated the last 2 years of his life to haiku, leaving 281 poems, mostly published by the free-form haiku magazine Kaishi.

everybody knows and loves that tumblr users play with jpegs like dolls, but i don't think we give enough credit to people who do the same with text. on what other site is blackout poetry so widespread? what other place celebrates typos with a fiery badge to commemorate them? where else could the haiku bot find so much love?
this whole post is a joke based on another post on here, one we may have seen before- i can't claim to repeat it verbatim, but it goes something like "his wife has filled his house with chintz, to keep it real, i fuck him on the floor" and without knowing that poem, this post loses its punchline, it becomes merely one of the hundreds of nonsensical posts that generate on here
and it's not the only time this happens. is making a reference to spiders georg or to the tiger that YES! escaped his cage, any different from referencing the childrens' hospital decor or apollo's dodgebal?
we love all mediums used on tumblr, we seamlessly (or with compression artifacts, whichever's funnier) blend them together and none of them are safe from becoming another of our beloved heirlooms
hey man thanks for inviting me over by the way. oh wow your house has a lot of chintz. yeah this place is just full of the stuff.

"MIIIIIIITAAAAMAAAA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
And he screams at the lop of his lungs from the other end of the hall, the fast paced tap tap tap of his armored boots already a sign that he was approaching at a ridiculous speed, though with a huge smile plastered on his face. Just before he would've been able to knock her over, Lutz stopped on his tracks, puffed up his chest and handed her a gift.
"I got this for you! I wanted to buy you some ink for your haikus but the store was all outta them...but! When I was walkin' around the marketplace I found a bag of gold, and after findin' the owner turns out he was an amazing artist and he gave me this bottle of ink and fancy brush as reward!" He stated it plain and simple.
"Super Happy Birthday, Mitama!" Even Ace had an input, as he growled happily from...behind Mitama, the wyvern somehow able to approach without being noticed. "C'mon, we gotta commemorate in some way! And I know the perfect way!"
He points at a spot under a tree.
"You wanna commemorate it with a nap over there?" Though Lutz was the definition of a human battery, he by now understood that not all of his friends shared his nature- and that Mitama liked her naps. So, for her birthday, he'd give in.
Now this? This is what she expected.
She winces, but familiarity has given her practice. With eyes shut, Mitama takes a deep breath.
"Hello Lutz!"
...there. Just the once. She keeps her eyes on her approaching friend so that she may better ignore the looks that are now being sent her way as well. Though she braces for it, he does not come barrelling into her like she anticipates, and instead slides to a stop just in front of her to hold up a prize for her inspection.
"Oh wow, this is actually quite impressive." She takes them from him and holds the bottle of ink up to the light so she can inspect it. She cannot know if it will be suitable or not for her poetry until she tries it, but there are still plenty of other things ink can be used for. Knowing Lutz however, he likely found the perfect kind without even trying.
"I appreciate it, you did not need to go through such efforts for me-eek!" Ace blows another hot breath of air on the back of her neck that makes Mitama flinch and curl into herself, holding the gifts to her chest so that she does not drop them. When her heart calms, she looks back to the wyvern with a nervous smile. "Yes, thank you too Ace. You are both appreciated."
Commemorating what is essentially just another day feels like a silly indulgence. When he claims to have the perfect idea, she expects something dreadful like a flight around the school or scaling down the mountain or...something that no one except Lutz would survive.
He suggests a nap. Mitama cannot stop herself from laughing. Coming from him, it is a sweeter gesture than one might expect.
"I think I might be able to spare a bit of energy for some important company." Nothing too adventurous, but she might be able to bare a little. "No training though! And nothing outside the monastery! I do want to spend my birthday in some amount of peacefulness."

Doesn’t know what to do
He doesn’t do birthdays, not after what, 2000 years?
Makes you a small butterfly charm out of leaves that’s infused with adeptal energy
Make sure that you keep it on you at all times & promise that you’ll call out his name when you need him, or he’s gonna be nervous 24/7 (A/N: my precious traumatized emo boy <33)

Tumblr media
Venti —
“Happy birthday, (name)! I heard mortals these days bake cakes whenever it's their birthday or a loved one’s birthday, so I made you some apple cake! Although… I’m not the most experienced when it comes to baking so it turned out as a pie… *nervous laugh*”

Makes time from his busy schedule to give you attention on your special day <3
HUGE FLIRT. Even more than usual.
Brings you to a cliffside to watch the waves + fireworks!!
(he’s also there because he’s investigating a group of treasure hoarders that he thinks will show up at the bottom of the cliff but you don’t need to know that because it might ruin your special day)

Once you’ve gotten the cake, the flavor being anything of your choosing, he’d take you to Guyun Stone Forest, on the very peak
Probably princess carries you up while boosting himself up with his vision
Watches the scenery with you for the rest of the day <3

Daddy Dearest.

A PERCY JACKSON STORY.
“Remember what I told you, buttercup! You need to concentrate on the light within you. I have a haiku to commemorate my visit—”
“That’s alright, Dad. Thank you,” I interrupted quickly, desperate to avoid the torture. Sure, I was a child of Apollo, but I had never quite inherited the poetry gene—and my father’s haikus were notoriously terrible.
Apollo, of course, ignored me. He cleared his throat, raised his hands with dramatic flair, and intoned: “Crying is okay, concentrate on your own light, shine bright like your dad.”
“Gee, thanks, Dad,” I muttered, not quite sure how to respond to that masterpiece.
━━━━
Alternatively: your father pays you a visit after the death of your mother.
Tumblr media
Hello! You have stumbled about a story with an overarching plot following a daughter of Apollo and the trials and tribulations she faces. It will start in Percy Jackson and The Olympians and continue into Heroes of Olympus. It is a Percy Jackson/Reader fanfic. Comments and constructive criticism are very much welcome!
The characters and the plotline of the books are not mine and belong to their respective owners. The story is mine, however, as is the character of 'the reader'. Please do not publish this story elsewhere without asking for my permission. The story is posted on archive of our own exclusively. If you want to keep an eye on any news or aesthetics regarding the story, please follow my tumblr @.soenchantingly!
Additional note: So, spoiler warning (but I feel like I should mention this before you start reading); in this installment, the reader's mother passed away due to a mysterious illness. This seems a bit vague right now, but it will all become clear in the later installments.
you’ll find the story on my AO3, linked above :)

Giorgos or George Seferis, the pen name of Georgios Seferiades was born on March 13 1900. He was a Greek poet-diplomat. He was one of the most important Greek poets of the 20th century, and a Nobel laureate. He was a career diplomat in the Greek Foreign Service, culminating in his appointment as Ambassador to the UK, a post which he held from 1957 to 1962.
Seferis was born in Vourla near Smyrna in Asia Minor, Ottoman Empire (now İzmir, Turkey). His father, Stelios Seferiadis, was a lawyer, and later a professor at the University of Athens, as well as a poet and translator in his own right. He was also a staunch Venizelist and a supporter of the demotic Greek language over the formal, official language (katharevousa). Both of these attitudes influenced his son. In 1914 the family moved to Athens, where Seferis completed his secondary school education. He continued his studies in Paris from 1918 to 1925, studying law at the Sorbonne. While he was there, in September 1922, Smyrna/Izmir was taken by the Turkish Army after a two-year Greek military campaign on Anatolian soil. Many Greeks, including Seferis's family, fled from Asia Minor. Seferis would not visit Smyrna again until 1950; the sense of being an exile from his childhood home would inform much of Seferis's poetry, showing itself particularly in his interest in the story of Odysseus. Seferis was also greatly influenced by Kavafis, T. S. Eliot and Ezra Pound.
He returned to Athens in 1925 and was admitted to the Royal Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the following year. This was the beginning of a long and successful diplomatic career, during which he held posts in England (1931–1934) and Albania (1936–1938). He married Maria Zannou ('Maro') on April 10, 1941 on the eve of the German invasion of Greece. During the Second World War, Seferis accompanied the Free Greek Government in exile to Crete, Egypt, South Africa, and Italy, and returned to liberated Athens in 1944. He continued to serve in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held diplomatic posts in Ankara, Turkey (1948–1950) and London (1951–1953). He was appointed minister to Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq (1953–1956), and was Royal Greek Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1957 to 1961, the last post before his retirement in Athens. Seferis received many honours and prizes, among them honorary doctoral degrees from the universities of Cambridge (1960), Oxford (1964), Thessaloniki (1964), and Princeton (1965).
In 1936, Seferis published a translation of T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land.
Seferis was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature "for his eminent lyrical writing, inspired by a deep feeling for the Hellenic world of culture." Seferis was the first Greek to receive the prize in 1963 (followed later by Odysseas Elytis, who became a Nobel laureate in 1979). But in his acceptance speech, Seferis chose rather to emphasise his own humanist philosophy, concluding: "When on his way to Thebes Oedipus encountered the Sphinx, his answer to its riddle was: 'Man'. That simple word destroyed the monster. We have many monsters to destroy. Let us think of the answer of Oedipus." While Seferis has sometimes been considered a nationalist poet, his 'Hellenism' had more to do with his identifying a unifying strand of humanism in the continuity of Greek culture and literature. The other five finalists for the prize that year were W. H. Auden, Pablo Neruda (1971 winner), Samuel Beckett (1969 winner), Yukio Mishima and Aksel Sandemose.
His house at Pangrati district of central Athens, just next to the Panathinaiko Stadium of Athens, still stands today at Agras Street.
There are commemorative blue plaques on two of his London homes – 51 Upper Brook Street, and at 7 Sloane Avenue.
In 1999, there was a dispute over the naming of a street in İzmir Yorgos Seferis Sokagi due to continuing ill-feeling over the Greco-Turkish War in the early 1920s.
In 2004, the band Sigmatropic released "16 Haiku & Other Stories," an album dedicated to and lyrically derived from Seferis's work. Vocalists included recording artists Laetitia Sadier, Alejandro Escovedo, Cat Power, and Robert Wyatt. Seferis's famous stanza from Mythistorema was featured in the Opening Ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games:
I woke with this marble head in my hands; It exhausts my elbows and I don't know where to put it down. It was falling into the dream as I was coming out of the dream. So our life became one and it will be very difficult for it to separate again.
Stephen King quotes several of Seferis's poems in epigraphs to his 1975 novel Salem's Lot.

INKED
In an alternate universe where the name of 'The One' is inked in your body, will you follow fate's decree, or will you go against it and find your own happy ending?
Disclaimer: This story is based on Dear My Name, a web drama I found in Youtube. Characters in this story are based on my imagination and has nothing to do with the drama. I only borrowed the concept of having the name of your soulmate engraved in your body.
I also don’t know if this counts as a fan fiction since I named the main characters after my first bias in Kpop (Luhan) and my first anime crush (Syaoran). Yes, I suck at naming my characters so I end up borrowing their names instead.
I haven't been writing lately and this is probably the first story I have written in 5 years so please bear with me. Just wanted to share it here to commemorate me writing something longer than a haiku after 5 years.
