the very lazy progress and planning process of making my save file - only parts of these builds are done, i am going pretty big on the realism / small (mountain? forest?) town vibe but it does feel a bit lacking in warmth at times so im trying to substitute that with nature so lots of trees.

i am really excited to get this part of the save done too because i want to show it to all of you so bad lol but im struggling to find that balance between realism & Still feeling like sims 4. which is really difficult honestly.

I am a little curious, how has your planning process/thought process been with the multiple fic series while balancing college?

Well i typically try to focus on one or two projects at a time, with like, 70% of my focus on the priority project! Currently im focusing on my Sesshoumaru fic, and then the Vi fic im cooking up. On the backburner i got my Bard!reader series, and maybe then my prince Alhaitham AU.

As a political science major, i already have my common core credits like math and literature, so my major course credits just have me do a LOOOTTT of reading. Aristotle, Kant, Noddings, Plato, Smidtt yada yada. This semester just ended for me, but before then i had some time in between, like-- A morning class ending at 11 and my second class starting at 4, so i had time to go to study hall or just brainstorm for my writing. I try to write at minimum 200 words a day, even if it just feels like verbal garbage! Write!!!

But usually, when writing a multi chap fic, i like to throw my ideas on the wall per se, and just word vomit in a google doc. Especially when im writing a very specific chapter. I mean, look how many doc i have for when i was writng chp3 of my Sessh fic:

So basically i throw everything i can at the wall, get a general idea, and then whittle it down or embellish where I need to to get the story i want. I carve little bits of time out, and i always try to write something. And now...! i have around two weeks before i head to take my summer term upstate! I got an oppurtunity to study at a university for free tuition and board so im pretty hyped about that. Its only two lalsses too, so i wont be as bogged down and ill still have time to write

Hii thank you so much for the ask!! Omg as you have probably noticed I am absolutely crazy over trc so apologies if I’m a bit incoherent here 😭 Aftg is overall my favourite series, but it is so insanely close with trc that it’s basically a tie. I’m sure you’ve seen that the aftg and trc fandoms often overlap quite a bit, and I think that’s because, even though the writers have quite different styles and trc is a bit deeper in the fantasy genre, they are very similar in that they take a group of unique people and give them such vibrant characterisation, arcs and backstories that by the end you will have fallen irrevocably in love with them. The characters will be a part of you forever, in the best way possible.

That said, trc also has a lot of differences to aftg: there’s a decent amount of magic involved (but not so much that it’s a high fantasy kind of thing, it’s basically just a group of teens in a small town that happen upon magical things because they look for them), there are I think a lot more plot twists (which makes something an instant fav for me), and just… the overall vibe is quite different? Like to me it feels like nostalgia, like a high school summer break. Someone said they feel 17 again every time they reread and I absolutely agree with that. Ohh and the romance plots? Top tier. (That’s not a difference from aftg ofc, just a side note)

WOW that was long 😭 all that to say, I would definitely recommend reading it! If you fell in love with the aftg characters then you would definitely fall in love with the Raven Boys (+ Blue)! Personally Ronan Lynch is my favourite character from literally anything, I love him so much 🥹

As for my favourite aftg quote… that’s a hard one omg. There are so many bangers in these books! Omg I was about to say it probably changes day-to-day and then something about Wymack’s ���win bc you don’t know how to lose” speech, but then I remembered “You know, I get it” existed. So haha. Definitely the whole ykigi speech 😂

For now, I have no sequel planned. Though there is a Yan!Aventurine x Reader fic in my drafts that takes place in the same universe and also explains his involvement with the matter (if you know what I mean). There is also an AU that may or may not be connected to Chiaroscuro in my drafts — but it'll involve some of the... newer faces, let's say.

In any case, I'll probably not be writing for my original trio (Dr. Ratio, Sunday and Aventurine) for a while and focus more on the Amphoreus boys :')
