Brief description of each game

Bloc by Bloc - coop action die game, you’re fighting against a police state and are trying to liberate various locations on the map (airport, plaza etc)

Burgle Bros 2 - coop game where you try rob a cainso and get out without being caught, mainy thematic 

Oath - Legacy game where after you play it you change things about the game the deck, the win conditions etc, you can also write a narrative of the game in a cool journal

Scout - short trick-taking card game, cheapest and smallest of the bunch

Spacecorp - space exploration where you try to make the most profit (victory points) while making your way into the stars, starting with the inner solar system, then the outer, then other star system, has an expansion that i’ll buy that gives each corp different abilites and strength and weakness

Some more SpaceCorp. After play #2, I think it’s OK but not great, and I wish it were less than 4 hours. As I think I’ve mentioned before, this is obviously a solitaire game that’s been upscaled to multiplayer; the coping with strange randomness that is fine and even expected in a solitaire game is not great in multiplayer, and solitaire games can also afford to be much looser about balance. And as is typical for GMT, the complexity level isn’t great all told. But, I think the big win for SpaceCorp (again like a lot of other GMT stuff) is that it lives in an uncompetitive niche: multiplayer games of 4hr or so and moderate complexity just haven’t been a fertile design space for several decades, so the competition is what, Leaving Earth? Some stuff from Sierra Madre maybe, although that’s a bit of a different niche (higher complexity, significantly more emphasis on authenticity). A bunch of junk from Fantasy Flight? So I dunno. I like the parameters of the game, but wish it were better I guess.
