(Thanks to @virusq for the name, @swaps55 for the high-res screenshots of the game maps, and everyone who contributed to the discussion — I captured a lot of you in chapter notes, but I'm still looking at comments, too)

Updated images

The AO3 versions have some refinements and are higher resolution. In particular, all the elevation drawings now show changes in floor and ceiling height and give an idea of wall positions.

Future updates and changes

I'm going to add my galaxy map to the same work. I'll also likely keep making tweaks to the ship and ship images.

Currently the images in the overview chapter use outlines overlaid on the hull, and I only use the full color renderings for individual decks. I'm not sure if the clearer view of the hull is adding enough, or if the better rendering would be better:

I could also do cropped versions of the elevations, which don't show off the sexy sexy spaceship well but do show off the parts I'm working on. I really don't want to redo all those exports though, so for right now right click -> open image in new tab is your friend! They're high enough res that you can zoom in. (AO3 strips target="_blank" out of link tags, or I'd have done that for you).

One detail I haven't seen people point out is how whenever we see Jimmy sitting in the cockpit, he is ALWAYS seated in the left seat. And at least in aviation, the left seat is considered the Captain's seat, while the right seat is the Co-Pilot's (First Officer's) seat.

Remember the start of the game, when the course needs to be corrected to avoid the crash? He purposefully steers it wrong using the Captain's yoke. So even if they all survive the crash, even if they all end up being rescued, the blame would fall onto Curly.

Plus, even when he's in the cockpit together with Curly, getting his psych eval done and being asked a very direct question of "Have you been able to complete your mandated tasks as a Co-Pilot efficiently?" he is casually answering it while sitting in someone else's seat.

Cool bit of foreshadowing imo, but also shows how damn OBSESSED and petty Jimmy was from the very start.

The more confidently certain Murderbot is that no bots have genders or any interest in sex or romance the less likely it sounds. Really? None of them?

Like how bot pilots can only communicate in images?

Or how a human could never really be friends with a bot?

Or how SecUnits are never friends with each other?

It keeps making these sweeping generalisations about things it doesn't have a lot of data outside of its own lived experience to support, and its experience is not universal.

At this point I would not be surprised if Iris hit MB in the face with the revelation that ART hates Holism because they were involved before Holism fucked around and left it for Sum Total.
