✮⋆˙ The year Hailey Baldwin Bieber launched her Make up and Skincare brand Rhode, she had Libra MC, Ruler being Venus was in 1H. She also had Sun, Mercury in 11H.

✮⋆˙ Still on Hailey Baldwin Bieber, her most popular product for Rhode was her lipsticks, and it was very popular in 2023. She had Jupiter 10H this year, MC was at 19°, Rising at 29°.

✮⋆˙ Selena Gomez had the most success too for her make up brand Rare Beauty in 2022-2023 (still today too), and in this SRC of 2022-2023, she had a 10H Stellium in Leo with Sun, Mercury, Varuna, Part of Fortune. She was Libra Rising as well, with some Fame asteroids conjuncting the rising.

✮⋆˙ Sabrina Carpenter has a stellium in 1H this year, and I'm not shocked because she is very talked about. People give her a lot go attention in general. Moreover, this stellium also indicates her being seen as very beautiful, a beauty icon.

✮⋆˙ The year BTS made their debut, Jungkook was on his SRC of 2012-2013. He had Jupiter conjunct 10H, it was also in 10H. Despite good fame asteroids being present in this house, his 10H ruler was in 12H, it wasn't seen much.

✮⋆˙ BTS had a huge success with DNA era, and it was in 2017. On this SRC of Jungkook, we can see he had Leo MC, so also Scorpio Rising. He had a stellium in 10H, with Sun, Mercury & Mars, but also Jupiter 11H. Additional, but Jungkook also had Varuna 9H, and that's the year BTS got more attention (than before) in foreign lands.

Personal Solar Return Chart observations: 23/24

I'll be writing down my experiences based on my 2023/2024 SRC. You can use it as a guide to understand your current & future SRC!

My birthday is on the 21st of December. So my SR isn't completely done yet but it's almost over so I thought I might share my experiences so far.

🍰 Libra 1st house

• I had a major glow up in terms of fashion & makeup

• I received a lot of compliments for my looks

🍰 Venus (20° Scorpio) in Scorpio 1st house

• literally everything changed. It felt like a persona rebirth

• A lot of people were jealous of the things I have , but I found myself to be quite possessive with things that I like as well (i.e accessories, clothes, brands. I didn't like when other people were copying me lol)

• I felt like an "IT" girl fashion wise, everyone started to do what I did

🍰 Venus opposite uranus (retrograde)

• I felt the need to stand out in terms of beauty & fashion. I wanted to look different.

•It was definitely a lesson I had to learn this year. Unconsciously I believed that the things I own defined me (explains the possessiveness).I don't think so anymore though! I feel flattered now lol. Lesson learnt.

note: DO NOT overlook retrograde planets in your SRC! It's going to tell you the hard lessons you need to work on that year to mature & be the best version of yourself!

• A lot of people complimented me on my voice this year.

• I shopped a lot this year, mainly makeup & accessories

• I spent so much money so quickly, I couldn't help myself, I found interest in a lot of new brands too

• I was also very passionate about making money this year/actively searching for new streams of income

🍰 Sun in 3rd house

• I found that I had to talk about myself a lot this year (i.e interviews, starting this blog!)

• Doing a lot of personal research to share with other people (i.e interviews, teaching friends, this blog again, lol)

• I travelled back & forth to near by cities often

• I was more active on social media

🍰 Sun conjunct mars

• lots of short distance travels (again for interviews)

• I'll be moving to the city in October

🍰 Sun trine Jupiter

• This year gave me abundant opportunities to present myself

• Being popular

🍰 Mercury (2° taurus) retrograde in Capricorn 3rd house

• I posted a lot of selfies online, but nothing that contained my voice.

• I was very picky & strict with what I shared with other people

• I started learning a new language & actually committed! It's part of my daily routine now.

🍰 Fama (16° cancer) in Capricorn 3rd house

• I felt like everyone knew I was a homebody this year

• I shared a lot of things from home on social media ( shared status w friends)

🍰 Fama trine uranus

• I was sharing movies & games I loved with my friends (a lot of them were not the type my friends usually indulge in i.e vintage movies, psychosexual horror, theatrical films, rom coms & all that jazz)

• now they know my tastes lol

🍰 Pluto (29° leo) in Capricorn 4th house

• I was unemployed for a good period of time

• My living situation definitely changed, I was homebound for most parts of the year

• There were big arguments in my parents'home as well mainly coming from my father

• I'm going to be living on my own on the later half of the year i.e being more independent

🍰 Saturn (2° Taurus) in Pisces 5th house

• Girl, I was not having fun this year everything felt like all work and no play

• I felt stuck & bored staying at home and scrolling through social media

• I didn't feel as productive as I should be as someone of my age

🍰 Eros (7° libra) in Pisces 5th house

• I was feeling very playful & sexual this year but since saturn is there it was dry season for me. No fun, no physical sex

🍰 Neptune (24° pisces) in Pisces 6th house

• I was definitely not entirely there when doing chores or work. I was daydreaming a lot while working

• I didn't have a lot of energy, most of my free time was spent laying in bed.

🍰 Chiron (15° gemini) retrograde in Aries 6th house

• I wrote about everything that bothered me in my daily life. This is how I managed to keep track of my feelings & doubts. I managed to do a lot of introspection through my writing. Anytime I was worked up, or had a lingering thought on my mind I would write it down in the heat of the moment.

🍰 Moon (24° pisces) in Aries 7th house

• A lot of my feelings revolved around my existing relationships, mainly my friends & close family members

• I was very passive in handling important contracts and just went with my instincts (i.e I didn't read documents as thoroughly as I should have TT)

🍰 Jupiter (5° leo) retrograde in Taurus 7th house

• I did a ton of introspection within my relationships & how I view romantic partnerships

• My values & beliefs surrounding what I truly need vs. desire in a partnership have evolved into something more stable and private. Sharing only what we both feel comfortable to share.

🍰 Uranus (19° libra) retrograde in Taurus 7th house

• I actively stayed away from getting into any relationship this year

• There was a lot of re-evaluating in terms of personal boundaries & individuality in relationships

🍰 Part of fortune (28° cancer) in 9th house

• I did travel long-distance within my country

• I plan to pursue higher education (university degree) soon, so this gives me a pretty good sign! Since it's in a cancer degree I don't think I'll be going that far from my state.

🍰 Briede (13° aries) retrograde in Leo 10th house

• I thought about how I would be as a bride, and how much it would change my life & career

🍰 Lust (19° libra) in Leo 10th house

• I was very open with my sexuality

• I shared a lot of movies that included sexual undertones & femme fatales (i.e Chicago, The virgin suicides)

🍰 Lilith (8° scorpio) in Virgo 11th house

• I learned more about dark sexuality, fears & trauma through online blogs (i.e Tumblr, Reddit, Quora)

🍰 Juno (20° scorpio) in Virgo 11th house

• I was really nosy about my future spouse lol

• I read a lot about him astrologically through online blogs & forums

🍰 Boda (20° scorpio) in Libra 12th house

• I fantasized about my wedding day, how it would be, what I would wear & who I would invite

• I loved the idea of a small intimate wedding where only people we knew and trust were involved

• I now have a wedding day pinterest board lol

Notes: Cancer & Scorpio seem to be the underlying energy that plagued me through this year. Don't ignore the planetary degrees!

⋆˚꩜｡ In fact, you'll notice looking at your Solar Returns over the year, you'll most likely have the same Rising every 4 years.

⋆˚꩜｡ Your Solar Return Rising can so tell you in which case of your life you are.

⋆˚꩜｡ On your Natal Chart, if you look at your Angles (AS-IC-DC-MC) there, you'll notice the potential 4 signs you'll often have on Risings in your SRC.

⋆˚꩜｡ But sometimes the rising can be the sign next or next twice to your Angles on your Natal Chart.

⋆˚꩜｡ Clock wise, this will go like this:

Year 1: SRC Rising based on Natal Rising' sign

Year 2: SRC Rising based on Natal IC' sign

Year 3: SRC Rising based on Natal DC' sign

Year 4: SRC Rising based on Natal MC' sign

etc.

༘⋆ Example: If you are a Libra Rising, that means your angles are most likely in this order: Libra (AC)-Capricorn (IC)-Aries (DC)-Cancer (MC). Now, the thing with your potential Risings on your Solar Returns, is that you'll probably have those 4 signs, all following each other, so every year you have a solar return Rising that is similar to your Natal Rising, then IC, then DC and then MC. But it happens that the sign of your Rising can be the next sign after your Natal Angle.

⋆˚꩜｡ In this case, it is important to understand you'll MOST LIKELY be a Rising sign based on those angles. But like I said, it often happens that you'll be a sign next to those angles as well some years. (more below)

Hello! I have a question that came to mind while reading your answer to someone else's question. The statement about "the dream of 'completing' the inventory (possible in vertebrates, impossible in most invertebrate groups)" has me curious what exactly it means to complete the inventory? (I'm guessing it's along the lines of finding an example/living proof of all the critters which seems an impressively huge dream!) Also, why is there a difference for vertebrates and invertebrates, is it an evolution thing (new ones keep happening!) or environment thing (we can't get to where the critters are) or something else/a combination of stuff?

The dream is that taxonomists would run out of things to do.

We caught 'em all.

Then we can focus our efforts instead of understanding how they got this way, what they do with their time, how they are related, why they live where they do, when they are active, what they eat, and so on and so forth. Once there is a name on every species, we have the framework in place to contextualise all of the rest of the knowledge that we are so desperately missing for the vast, vast majority of life.

Some taxa are really close to this, and it is kind of evidenced by the taxonomic rate on those groups. For instance, only 117 species of birds have been described in the 21st century (src), but over 100 frog species are described per year (src). That is not because people are more interested in frogs than they are birds (although Tumblr might make you think that is the case), but because there actually aren't that many birds remaining to be described. Yes, some, but not many. So we are not that far from the taxonomic picture of birds being largely resolved, and consequently there is less work for bird taxonomists, and more attention is given to other aspects of bird ecology and behaviour.

Vertebrates constitute less than 100,000 species of the >2 million eukaryote species described to date (visualised here). Even when the inventory is completed, it may be shy of 100,000. But we think there may be even 100 million species of eukaryotes. The vast, vast majority of those are invertebrates (and maybe about half are parasites, because most species have at least one species-endemic parasite). In some groups, completing the inventory is just a totally unrealistic idea. And we probably need to come to terms with that somehow… but it's not an easy thing to admit or tackle.
