Thinking about it, it's fascinating how Snamione writers (at least in older stories) so often used the Time-Turner as a reason why Hermione is older than she ought to be, but never take into consideration that she spent quite a while being petrified in her second year, effectively stopping her from ageing...

Let's do some maths: Hermione, compliant with the rules as she is, wouldn't have used the Time-Turner for anything else than what she was allowed to, and she got it to take two more classes than the others. Since those classes were Muggle Studies and Divination, I'd say that didn't amount to more than four hours a week, but let's play it safe and make it six hours a week. She didn't attend Divination for the whole year, though, dropped out of it around April according to this calendar. So, taking four weeks per month, that amounts to roughly 42 weeks with six hours, and 18 weeks with three hours, so a total of 306 hours. Those are 12,75 days. Let's round this up to 13 days Hermione lived more than others.

According to the same calendar, though, she spent roughly 22 days being petrified in her second year.

So, all in all, Hermione is still younger than her date of birth suggests by the time every Snamione story starts, not older. Even less so a whole year!

Really, if your brain wants Snamione, just embrace the age gap instead of making up strange explanations as to why it isn't that bad. ^^

Bf and I have been watching the x files, and to me it's so snamione coded. She wants to believe in what's established, safe, proven, logical, and he's all about the experimental and abnormal. He's so protective of her safety and she's so protective of his reputation. Even though most people think he's insane, he's actually very insightful and open minded and emotionally aware, and even though most people think she's insane for siding with/working with him, she's actually opening her mind to the alternatives
