Commuting is so energy consuming and it's just the first day of the week, and it will last for months. I do not remember being this exhausted by it on my first year of uni. The positive thing is that the general vibe in class during the lectures I am attending is so good. It's a fairly small class, and everyone is super nice and chatty. I tend to be extremly uncomfortable in social situations, but this time it's working quite well, and since this is going to be a very long class taking up the entire semester, I am glad the general feel of the people I am sharing this experience with is this good, that makes me very hopeful. I also just realized this will most definitely be the last class I will attend in person during my masters. I do not know how I feel about this realization so I'll just ignore it for now.

wrote down a general to do list for the week

started working on the second to last article for my spaces of knowledge class

ended up going down a rabbit hole looking for infomations for phd programs, because I am kind of thinking about it

continued my tmagp s1 relistening + notes (I am so not going to be make it on time for the new season but oh well)

heyo! so - i am surviving a massive hormonal shift atm, so my mood and most importantly my brain is all over the place, i only have energy for tiny, sweet threads and gaming. it's also important to note that atm i am actively jobhunting in another city and will get there next monday for a few interviews, i know when i will leave, dunno when i'll come back (likely for my bday on june 8th). i apologize to people that have been waiting on my replies for a bit, i promise I will get to writing consistely after everything settles back, it just may take a bit longer than anticipated

Hope woke up with a fever, but fortunately, it was just a cold. Miracle spent the whole day worried about her little girl, and her work on the ranch was pitiful, so she just stayed home taking care of Hope for the rest of the day 👶🏽

Modern au:

When Dorian started dating Manon, he was able to see a few things in her that made him suspect something was off. At that point, he was able to see the pressure her grandmother put her under and he felt helpless in the face of that kind of thing.

Manon was really going out of her way to make sure everything is perfect and yet her grandmother kept scrutinizing her.

At formal events, he got to see that first hand. Manon would be super stressed, it would get worse about 2-3 days prior where her anxiety is at it’s peak; she won’t be able to sleep, and can’t keep anything down.

Dorian can see all of her effort and yet her grandmother’s responses are a variety of

“Don’t embarrass me,”

“What a disgrace,”

“This is worthless,”

And it really angers him.

But that was nothing compared to what he saw when they moved in together.

Prior to that, Manon was able to maintain her mask of aloofness and perfection. It was only when they lived together than Dorian saw how she struggles with insecurity and abandonment issues.

He learned of the long months she’d spend at boarding school, her grandmother wouldn’t allow her to return home if her grades are anything below a 100%. She’d call her an embarrassment and let her spend the holidays studying and making up for those grades.

He also saw how she struggles with boundaries sometimes. Moreover, he noticed that she instantly panics whenever she thinks that she made a mistake. Like forgetting her jacket on the counter, or leaving some of her work behind on the coffee table.

Dorian hates hates hates how her grandmother turned her into this person. She honestly believes that as soon as she commits the tiniest mistake, Dorian is going to leave and find someone better. He told her time and again that he doesn’t want anyone else, better or worse. He wants only her and nothing will ever change that.

But of course, his reassurance does nothing to elevate those issues that have been there for two decades. All he can is promise to always be there, that no matter what happens he isn’t going to leave or find someone else.

Now another issue is their families. They attend the same social circles and their families no each other. Chaol is against their relationship because he wants someone other than a Blackbeak to be with his friend. Aelin doesn’t care much, she tries to get along with Manon but the two of them don’t spend any time together to have any sort of relationship.

Then there are his parents; Georgina wants to pick her son’s lifelong partner. The fact that he’s with the Blackbeak heir infuriates her to no end.

Now normally he would ignore everyone and does as he pleases. However, now that he lives with Manon and knows exactly how vulnerable she is, he had a meeting with his parents and Chaol.

He sat them all down, and told them in no certain terms that if he brings Manon over for a visit, if any one of them make her feel unwanted, he’d get her out of there immediately and never return back there.

Dorian is serious, she’s been though enough and he sees how she struggles. That the perfectly put up woman is hiding a lot of things underneath and he hates how he can’t shoulder some of those things. All he can do is love her through it all and hope that one day it will be enough.

I’m doing my very first cross stitch (despite having a boatload of kits both new and in various stages of completion from thrifted craft lots) and this shit is not for the faint hearted.

Here’s what it’s supposed to look like. Enjoy the extra artwork, my 18 month old was pleased to make it for your viewing pleasure.

My mom gave me this brand new kit for Christmas. And listen, we know mothers mean well in their gifting but sometimes they give inconvenient gifts. Like a white elephant. But the cost of upkeep is my eyeballs. My very eyeballs.

But because this particular kit was a gift from my mother and I love her dearly I am determined to finish this m’fer.

I feel like I’m a little over halfway but the line art part of it scares the hell out of me. And guys don’t get me started on the counting. So much counting. I do not thrive on tidy organization and routine. I am a creature of chaos and sporadic fits of creativity and motivation.

Ok. Enough bitching. I am really enjoying this and it is fun to really finally understand cross stitch. I felt like I understood it before. But in actuality it was just a vague knowing.

I wish there was a way it was easier on my eyes because they want to fall out just thinking about this. I do have a magnifying light but I feel like that makes it worse because it’s hard to find a comfortable position where I can keep my work at a consistent distance from my zoomer.

I bow to any cross stitch pros that do this on a regular basis. And I will keep your eyes in my prayers and thoughts.

Here’s what I have so far. There are mistakes. But I’m hoping they are buried so deep into the pixels that we will never notice them again.

I am awake! i am living! i am FERAL! This litle update has me absolutely SPINNING Firstly just allow me to say that everything is just oh so so CUTE The costumes, the sprites, the 19 minute long audio, the COOKBOOK my beloved!! But anyways, theory time!! Well more like observations, thoughts and unhinged ramblings XD Gonna put it Down Below:

Speaking of that. First observation is the wording of Down Below We usually talk about waving up high! It is said so many times!

But now we finally have our official "As Above, So Below" My first thought on this is the theme of a stage, "As above the stage, down below the stage" But I truly dont think we have enough information to make a connection quite yet We know where "Down Below" is I wonder where "As Above" is? The second thing is the Wally Darling costume And the Eyes

I realize now that the Eyes are actually just holes and showing whatever is underneath, BUT I still can't help thinking that this was intentional! Perhaps it's some sort of Code? Afterall, his eyes are Black!

Now to get into the MEAT here: Spoilers if you have not found the secret audio! during the secret audio "Listen" The bug found on the transcript

Wally stares directly at the "eddie" apple as he eats the apple on the plate (I also just wanted a screenshot of the "eyes" in the BG)

and now… now i have theories hang on cause it involves the entire transcript that was said but not said in the transcript itself! (In fact, it says this part is not there!! but it IS) so i typed it out by ear (also ayoo we have a narrator!!) (also there is a lot of 4th wall breaking and quite a few neighbors seem to know that there is a show/that they are puppets) (but anyways!) ok but here is what is said in the story It is because this town is rumored to have visitors at night… Something from deep within the forest, far beyond the hills and mountains… No one knows what it wants or where it’s going, just that it is persistent.. Just that it arrives here. So many stories have risen about their origins… But I know what it is searching for. it is looking for neighbors who have stayed up past the daytime, to gobble them up whole that is why so few live here it moves through the streets at night, but it doesnt break into Homes However, on rare instances, it will find itself with an appetite unsatisfied by its aimless wanderings even the occasional unfortunate insect that has crossed its path, is not enough those who have lived through the nights say, it isn't quiet about it either they always say you can hear when it gets closer to you do you know what sound it makes? I hear it, every night. you can hear it too, if you listen especially if you wait next to your window First, there's rustling in the bushes Then, the scratching on the pavement, and the walls.. as it crawls up Finally, if you're quiet.. You can hear it's guttural sound ok ok so there seems to be a theme going on here and the theme is Hunger And also when the audio gets all garbled and skipping? I feel like it is saying..."Frankly" over and over? I could be overthinking, but it is what i hear!! it almost feels like Wally.. can't control his hunger he was supposed to be watching Barnaby's apple Barnaby even says "Don’t worry though, kid, there’s plenty’a other eats here! What’re you feelin’ hungry for, Wally?" and he is quick to draw attention away from wally, as he tends to do a LOT barnaby seems to Know a LOT about Wally, and thats why he sort of has to be his babysitter? I think that there could be a connection here I think Wally was HUNGRY, he was absolutely STARVING OR OR Maybe something else was Hungry? Home?? Whatever the black goo/mold is?? If something is controling Wally? His eyes are black, the Goo is black, the goo is coming from Home But also also [It sounds like Barnaby pats the camera.] Going back to my theory of wally being the camera/ the audience surrogate/his eyes are cameras This is fuel to my fire!! Oh and also the Wally Costume add to the motif of You being able to see through Wally's eyes. Of You and Wally being connected through his Eyes!! But at the end of the day, I think this update revolves around Eddie! This little bug on the rock is Purple! Which we know is Eddie's Color!

And just that that doodle looks like the bug that leads to the secret Audio where Eddie's apple is brought to the screen.. Leads me to feel like something forboding is going on for our poor, dear sweet Mailman! Which by the way, just another little Observation But Sally doesnt seem enthused by the fact that Eddie is a fellow Arts lover? and she just calls him "Mailman" rather than an affectionate longname like she does with everybody else But it does feel like Eddie is the Type to give his heart and soul to everyone, the shirt from his back, only for him to get left in the dirt u_u I'm noticing a trend of him being the neighborhood punching bag Eddie IS the mailman tho! So it only makes sense that he is the one delivering the letters to the WHRP. He is not the one writing them, he's just the delivery guy! But I think he could be being sent out at night When everyone else is asleep And I think something terrible may happen to him It's very dangerous to go out at night and This could be where Eddie is ripped in half/mangled Wally fixes him of course! (old theory but it does reference that) So is Wally just using Eddie to serve whatever purpose he is after? Eddie is a very compliant guy, he would do anything for anyone and if he can be put back together, where is the harm? I am starting to make connections! Stringing together the pieces! And once again, i'm getting the question of "Is Wally Evil?" And once again, I am answering with a solid "No" Do I think that he could be slightly morally askew? With the themes of "I must do what I need to do, no matter what happens" "I'm sorry, but this is how it must be" "The ends justifies the means" Possibly, maybe. Especially if it is to save his Neighbors, his World, his Home. Or, Just some of his actions are not his, he is a puppet afterall. Anyways anyways, this has been a very very long and rambly tangent. Hopefully there can be some sense made from this, I know that I can be a bit jumpy with my thoughts!! But these are my inputs for now!! Feel free to add on/correct me! (I know the one link is out of cannon date, but so was the Frankly picture, and it was made cannon, so take it with a grain of salt)

There was a middle school age girl who started crying in the middle of the catacombs and having a wholeass existential crisis, and of course her mom was shushing her and telling her the bones weren't scary, but honestly she was the one in there who was using the space for its intended purpose, unlike the middle aged ladies going over their appointment calendars or even me taking little photos

Yesterday I finally finished my first book of the year. I realize we're not even two weeks into the year yet, but I say finally because this book was so dry. I was so happy I finished it, that I threw the book as soon as I was done (and I'm not generally violent towards books). It came out in the 70s and the target audience was definitely older ladies. The main character was an elderly lady, and despite having multiple of the same interests/hobbies as old ladies, I could not relate to this character at all. To be fair, the main character was essentially a serial killer, and that is NOT a hobby I share lol. Even the young character that we got partial point of view from was unrelatable though.

The book was Legacy of Evil, by Anna Clarke. I give it like 2/5 stars, and only because the ending was a twist.
