I’m so excited to share my Steven Universe OC Scylla! She was a corrupted Ocean Obsidian fusion and during the years she was corrupted she inspired the myth of Scylla. Over the years the name grew on her. During the events of Future after being healed from her corruption due to her size she spends most of her time in the ocean meditating.

this sounds backwards, but I’ve always loved viewing furries as modern animism - and being one makes me feel more connected to humanity

animism, historically, was never limited to just animals, either. it can be a way of viewing the whole world.

like, a rock on its own is just a rock, but a rock anthropomorphized with anima can become a mirror, reminding us of human values like patience, resiliency, and strength.

I think we forget that anthropomorphism evolved for a reason… and that we can use it to look at ourselves in a more positive light :,)

also, I can eat berries off the bush and think about being a cute silly deer 🦌 . which is awesome. we’re meant to see ourselves in nature because we’re part of it, too :P

Here's my Tuxedo Agate and my Veszelyite!

Tuxedo Agate:

I originally had him as a butler gem for a diamond that doesn't exist anymore so I redid him as a butler for his new diamond Skeletal Diamond whos owned by xGlitch_Artistx and I was heavily inspired by a look of an Victorian butler.

He has a slight crush on my Dark Grey Tahitian Pearl!

Veszelyite:

My Veszelyite originally was an executioner gem when I made her back in 2016. She is now going to be my bounty hunter gem that hunts down defected gems to bring back to her diamond to stand trial.

I gave her a scifi look to sort of match that space bounty hunter vibe.

My Dumotierite is terrified of her.
