Thank you for your kind words! Being married as a student is definitely made a lot simpler by my husband also being a student—if he didn’t understand or support me when I need to study/get a paper done I’m sure things would be a lot more difficult. That being said, I think being married makes being a student different and how that “different” is perceived is mostly up to you. I have days where I think about how easy it would be to have more say in how my time is managed, but being selfish with my time isn’t something I’m entitled to nor something I should entertain whether I’m married or not! Also, being married is just great so as a general answer to your question: being married (as a student or otherwise) is just pretty darn great. 

My “balance” weighs heavily toward my husband, because he is—and my relationship with him is—simply more important than any exam or assignment could ever be. As I’m studying theology, I can’t exactly say he’s more important that my subject matter…but he’s far more important than the human institution of a seminary/university. Also, I’ll be the first to say that he takes care of me in many, many ways…if I become a mom anytime soon things will doubtless be much more complicated! Stewarding my time well and glorifying God with my life be it in marriage, studying, relationships, or whatever is something I’m sure I will continue to grow in (or at least I should!) so who knows how the actual hours will shift through the years. It’s great though. Studying and being married and being married and studying…all is well over here.
