We don’t talk about “booksical” Fiyero enough, like so many aspects of his character from the book (being a POC from a marginalized tribe, experiencing discrimination) give his character and relationship with Elphaba much more depth. But I feel like (especially in fics) people always treat musical and book Fiyero as completely separate characters, but honestly, giving the popular, jockish prince a background of racial discrimination and cultural assimilation could be SO interesting.

to me one of the funniest things in asip is definitely when sherlock brought the man previously from his flat to the crime scene without even introducing him except for emphasizing "he's with me" and gavin lestrade was trying to decide whether a) if sherlock has really gone round the bend and decided to take a hostage to keep as a pet and he should save this man from sherlock or b) if this man is even more of a dangerous sociopathic nutter than sherlock and he should lock him up and save london from this man

Given how Sherlock reacts to Lestrade's drugs bust in ASIP, we can conclude that he kept drugs somewhere in his flat at that point (even if he was clean).

Then there's John and Mycroft's conversation on Christmas in ASIB, where we find out that Mycroft has set John and Mrs. Hudson to search the flat more than once, and they actually did find drugs (I'm assuming Mycroft was the one who deduced where the hiding places would be) and got rid of it.

So Sherlock felt the need to have an emergency stash in ASIP, but by ASIB his flat is clean and he hasn't replaced the drugs that his friends and family have thrown away. This shows how much happier he has become over time since he started living with John.

#of course there's the possibility that john&co missed a hiding place #or sherlock might simply have grown tired of being busted for keeping drugs #that last one must be part of the explanation #but i do think life with john has made him happier and healthier #so much so that at some point between asip and asib he no longer requires the safety net of an emergency stash #bbc sherlock #sherlock holmes #john watson #mycroft holmes #mrs hudson #bbcsherlock #greg lestrade #a study in pink #a scandal in belgravia
