This is the backside of the cage. The box we used is a Sterilite brand "gasket box". It is the 30 liter size. That's an unmodified one I'm holding in the left of the photo. The box has nice clamping closure and includes a foam gasket in the lid to make it airtight. I drilled holes for the hex bolt, fender washer, and wing nut combination used for attachment. I also drilled a 1/2 in hole for the oxygen tubing to enter. I cut the hole and door with an electric jig saw and used metal rings for the hinge visible in the part 1 video. The oxygen tubing is protected from chewers by that PVC pipe on the right side and then by a fleece wrap and covering rug while it crosses the floor. We used 3M command strip hooks as attachment points for the hanging hammock. After catching a virus earlier in the week, my lungs started showing signs of an exacerbation and following a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) yesterday, my team and I knew I needed to be admitted. I knew I was sick, but the fact I so eagerly accepted being admitted 2-3 hours from home proved to me just how sick I am right now. . Right now I am receiving an antibiotic via IV through my mediport every eight hours and an antibiotic via aerosol nebulizer every twelve hours, which is in addition to my regular nebulizers I do four times a day. I am also on supplemental oxygen because my resting heart rate and respiratory rate is elevated and my O2 saturation isn't steady. It has been a hectic 12 hours to say the least! . We are asking for prayers for healing for me, protection for my loved ones who are travelling, and that the Lord be glorified. This is hard as crap guys - no sugar coating it tonight. Usually elderly folks with chronic lung or heart issues. There is a decent used market for them. Please understand that it is a medical device, and you may want to find out the local legalities of owning, buying, and using one. Also, not all sellers are reputable, and a used machine could carry contagion if not cleaned properly. They are loud, produce excess heat, and use loads of electricity. Ours is in a storage room and we ran a fifty foot hose to the cage so we wouldn't have to hear it. These machines continually refine oxygen out of room air. This means that while the tube produces pure oxygen, the back end of the machine produces air with reduced oxygen.
