It is still deeply unclear to me what the outcome of this whole plan is, but it's going to be so funny to me if the gods all just become consecuted mortals who otherwise do regain their memories every lifetime. They're still probably as clever and charismatic and in some cases conniving as they were, just with less firepower. They're reliant on being near beacons if they want to be reborn. Half of them are fundamentally terrified of the concept of permanent death and they've got millennia of experience avoiding it. I give it forty years before there are like seven warring Luxon cults a la the Dynasty just wreaking havoc on Exandria in their obsessive quest for beacons. The Bright Queen suddenly goes from being a fringe theocrat with an overzealous missionary agenda to a paragon of restraint.

I just found your SIC Megatron au and its vise grip on my brain is worrying

I can't help but feel that Starscream possessiveness of Megatron is distinctively humanizing in a way, and couple with the way Megatron just called himself a tool, like, do that repeatedly and it doesn't matter that you are literally fighting for the right to personhood, that shit will ingrain itself, and that just on to the toxicity sooo wonderfully

I really like the backstory where he was trapped in his gun alt form for as long as he can remember, it feels more likely to break that version of megatron then if he was just a worker before

Megatron is very powerful, more then other gunformers, it’s a mystery to why he was until years in he started to malfunction, at this point the Decepticons are pretty established and Megatron was already SIC so getting him fixed was top priority. Starscream went out to capture someone with actual medical experience and got Ratchet, who was not prime yet and was only a talented up and coming doctor at this point.

Starscream and Ratchet worked on Megatron, discovering his link to a black hole, Ratchet horrified by the power, Starscream in awe of it.

Megatron idolizes Starscream a lot, but he is very popular. Despite not being able to speak for most of the time he was online, he’s very charismatic. Starscream was fond of the attention but if Megatron ever turns on him he would not hesitate to kill him. Starscream had already planted seeds of doubt into his mind, but now he doubles down on it (I’m still trying to decide if Starscream would install some sort of chip that would suppress any confidence that Megatron would have, or if he breaks down Megatrons ego in a more natural way, probably the latter because I think it fits better, but with the chip version if it ever is removed in the future, the fallout from that would be interesting!)

Starscream plans to keep Ratchet mostly so word of Megatrons power don’t spread around, but he is eventually rescued by Orion Pax. Surprisingly Ratchet doesn’t seem to tell anyone. This extends to his time as Prime. The Autobots don’t know why Ratchimus is so insistent on arguing with Megatron

It’s slow but as Starscream gets more possessive Megatron appears in less in the public eye alone, enforcing the idea that Megatron needs him, but there’s a voice in the back of his mind that he can’t ignore saying that he needs Megatron too

Megatron has accepted that this is the best that his life can get, it's all he's ever known, and he's stubborn in this, what else is there? What was everything for?

I still want Megatron to have alot of power here so it's not just Starscream, he's still Megatron!

There is sooo much fun contrast between Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity Link, and the one I can't stop laughing at is SHIELD SURFING it is ridiculous!

Like here's Shield surfing in Botw-

It's pretty, and if it's rainy I can slide even more. I do it for fun off a nearby hill if I have a shield to spare. I press Y or X to do a fancy kick or spin, and I can attack some monsters with it passing by. The greatest danger with shield surfing is Link hitting a rock, his shield breaking, and him dying or using a fairy/Mipha's grace. More likely he eats some a lot of apples. Outside of Link potentionally breaking a leg tho, it's fun! I once caught a horse in botw by shield surfing, I spun and accidentally flip-flopped onto her, named her Flip-flop in remembrance. If I do some kicks and jumps while shield surfing Link will even laugh and make happy sounds, which shows he's enjoying it. Fun happy times in botw while shield surfing :)

Then there's Shield surfing in Aoc-

Link screams HYAH! or some other raging and loud battle cry, as he hops on his shield and speeds, not towards, not around, but straight into whatever monsters stand in his way. The agonised cries of dying monsters fill the air as Link turns into a tunnel of pure deadly force. Is he going uphill? downhill? Doesn't matter, he's going, gravity has no hold on him. The worst case scenario you ask? Link shield surfs straight into a bomb barrel. Takes everything out quicker, and he loses half a heart from it. I finished an entire mission using only Link's shield surfing the other day. The game reminded me how to dodge bc it thought I forgot the other controls. I didn't need to dodge, just surf. Aoc Link doesn't go shield surfing for fun, he is on a mission and he becomes a whirling funnel of death.

And I mean all that literally by the way-

Botw Link: Shield surfs for fun and freedom while trying to survive! :D

Aoc Link: Shield surfs to KILL and destroy, he is out for blood

tbc I love Aoc Link he's a sweetheart just a very deadly one

And hey, looking at how the ability controls are explained in the game-

Botw- "Hop on your shield and slide down hills."

Aoc- "Link: One-Handed Weapons / Press X while running to shield surf."

So- in Botw it IS for fun- 'hop on'- whereas in Aoc shield surfing is an attack. hmm

..It makes sense I guess. Aoc Link killed the enemy, and Botw was the one who was killed- but it seems in the end Wild's the one who gets to live.

YEAH so anyways I actually cannot at the moment shield surf in Aoc without laughing bc he is so. so very violent.

I mean look! Look at the difference of scenes left behind after Link goes shield surfing (Botw, then Aoc)

I am - today and every day - in awe of his talent, hard work, bravery and authenticity.

I am constantly amazed at his gentleness and his greatness.

He is our leader for a reason.

His RPWP album is a masterpiece that showcases his ability to push himself into - and out of - philosophical and musical spaces that challenge him. He's constantly inviting us into his personal space, showing us who he is, and telling us how he feels about the world he lives in.

It's an absolute privilege to exist in the same space and time as Namjoon.

How many times has he sacrificed himself to protect the other members?

How many times has he pushed back on the stereotypes that ARMY is labelled with?

Hes carried our banner into every battle. Did you forget that?

How much has he given of himself to create the songs we listen to?

Who do you think writes the love letters that BTS sends to ARMY??!

Who do you think holds the line for BTS and ARMY when shit gets real?

As any self-respecting Zane stan, of course I've seen Decoded. And of course I loved the sweet but subtle character moment of him being bashful and awkward when Jay brought up the statue.

For the longest time, I've always interpreted this moment as Zane being his typical humble, bashful self. And while I'm sure that's true to an extent, recent events from Dragons Rising have led me to consider an alternative interpretation.

If I may bring your attention to this quote from DRpt2:

"Zane had impressive shoes to fill. No one could live up to him, maybe not even Zane himself."

I dunno. There's just something about the fact that Zane's own legacy has outgrown him, that he's overshadowed by the memory of his past self, that rather than a testament to the love his friends and community have for him he instead sees the statue as an insurmountable burden he can never hope to live up to...

Which brings me to yet another blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment from the Shadow of Ronin video game (I know it's canon-ness is debatable, but hear me out for a sec)

While everyone is gathered around Nya and speaking to Borg via hologram, Zane is...gone. He's off in the distance, standing at the base of his statue, just...staring at it.

Ranting in DMs with friends about Eddie Diaz, as one does, and honestly the last couple episodes also so deeply reframe all of Helena's past attempts to prevent Eddie from moving to Los Angeles and then trying to get him to move back after Shannon's death. That woman does not love her son. She doesn't want him near her. She wants Christopher. It was always about Chris. It's not even the bare minimum "I want you back home near us so I can control you and give you advice and tell you what to do and you should be Home with your Family." If Eddie had left for LA on his own without Chris all those years ago she would've been happy. It was Eddie taking Chris with him that was upsetting.

After months of prep and hyping up i think I’m ready to introduce this little trouble maker

Please welcome Pluto ! My own version and design of a Donnie Krang baby

(Warning there will be some movie spoilers)

After infiltrating the Krang ship, Donnie and Mikey are tasked to take over the controls and to do that, Donnie fuses with the ship. However when Krang prime notices the turtles, he rips Donnie out of the ship, violently severing the link.

In my AU, because the link was cut by force, a part of Donnie was left behind with the ship, a copy of them. When the ship explodes, drebris is spread across NY, Krang technology and flesh everywhere ! However from the debris, a new creature starts to grow, half turtle, half Krang, birthing a new species, PLUTO !!! >:D

This little creature is one of my all time favorite designs i’ve made in the Rottmnt fandom, I’m very proud of it and hope to finally be able to draw more of this rascal !

I also want to thank @cupcakeslushie for giving me the extra push with Mayday, Pluto doesn’t need to just hang in my files anymore XD, Thank you !!
