Mouthwashing has taken a hold of my brain train and I can’t stop thinking about it!!! ☄️🎂🪓🌌💊🌺🐴 Like, literally everything about the game is so freaking cool?!! (Except Jimmy, he’s not cool, he sucks.) The concept, the visuals, the structure of the entire game, the characters, UGHHNGH, it’s just tickling some part of my brain!

I put my whole being into this piece, man. It took me a long time but I enjoyed the whole process. I haven’t ever drawn anything quite like this and it was very good for breaking past an art block!

I love the versions of Curly without the glitchy / overlapping sections so what the heck, here are the normal versions. ✨

This art was conceived together with the first version and was supposed to go with Miquella and Trina to show the same identity of little Miquella and Trina.

Pure and radiant, Miquella says goodbye to his old self, he had to become the supreme god, breaking the curse, changing his fate and making the world a better place filled with love and compassion. With sadness, he leaves his cursed, but kind, soft, loving part of himself.

Let's talk about Lycurgus of Thrace

The king of Thrace and Dionysus in a version of the myth go back when he was still young under the care of the Nymphs of Mount Nysa. Lycurgus struck down Dionysus' nurse Ambrosia with an axe .The rest dived into the sea ,where they were given refuge by the goddess Thetis.

As punishment for his crime, Lycurgus was inflicted with madness and in this crazed state slew his wife and sons. Dionysus later all grown up had the lands dry and the curse wouldn't be lifted until the king was punished. Or that he was torn apart by his own horses, devoured by the panthers of the god, or wrapped in strangling vines and sent to Hades for eternal torment.

Again another tale, proof that Dionysus isn't one that should be underestimated.

A lone raven stands on a cracked mirror of ice, encircled by a symbol etched not by hand, but by time. Crimson light bleeds from the sky and stains the frozen lake, while feathers dance in the northern wind. Footprints end where silence begins.

In the drifting fog - was that a face, or a ghost waiting to be remembered?

From November, on election night. They are still relevant, especially now as we're already seeing the horrors of a second Trump term.

These pieces are inspired by my craving for liberation. Angry people standing to protect their communities become the bear, exhausted people kneel to rest and become the sea lion, and motivated people running towards the future become the raven.

I've been drawn to simplified silhouettes for a long time. I'm experimenting with using simple patterns to fill in strong, recognizable shapes. I used the classic character design trope of assigning personality to basic shapes. The square, circle, and triangle shapes suggest the personality of each animal: the sturdy bear, the gentle sea lion, and the active raven.

These animals live alongside me in California. I love drawing animals of all kinds, but animals that share my home are special to me. The raven started as a peregrine falcon, but I felt its beak shape could be mistaken for an eagle when simplified. The bear initially held a sword and shield, which I removed to preserve the clarity of the silhouette. The sea lion was perfect from the start.
