Hot take but I feel like one of this fandom's biggest problems with mischaracterization has to do with audience vs character dissociation...like, we as the viewers know Caine is just a well-meaning dumbass who isn't purposefully trying to hurt the players' physical and emotional wellbeing, but most of the rest of the cast doesn't. I still remember when Ep 3 dropped and everyone was speculating on the 'he wants me to suffer' line thinking Pomni was referring to some unknown character and I feel like that has to do with our omniscience as the audience vs Pomni's point of view towards Caine and the Circus.

I’m so evil for this but I just had a brain idea for TADC. Idk if this counts as spoilers, but I will be talking about episodes enough?? Maybe spoilers, idk. Read with caution. But anyways:

I was doing the dishes when I remembered when someone mentioned how Caine can’t directly affect the cast’s minds, but can manipulate them as seen with the stupid sauce in ep 4. Gooseworx’s response was very vague, giving only a small ‘heh’ in response but it got me wondering what that sort of thing could do if Caine realized how much he could do with it. See, no one expects Caine to do anything malicious, because he isn’t supposed to be, and quite frankly, he doesn’t want to be the bad guy either, ALTHOUGH he does have a very oblivious and factual sense of logic.

My thoughts then turned to the meals he makes for the cast, occasionally, if they eat meals regularly, or if he gives them to the cast as prizes, (as seen in the end of the TADC pilot). My brain immediately thought of how Caine, wanting everyone to enjoy his adventures and their life in the circus, might react when he realizes he could just feed them something that could actually make them enjoy his shenanigans! To Caine, I’d make perfect sense, and not malicious at all since then they’d be more compliant and happy. Even if it’s forced onto them.

The thought of Caine making an adventure for them, and making a meal for them afterwards with code that’ll manipulate their senses and practically mind control them seems like something he’d 200% do if he ever realized he could. One of he worst things would be that then, if they were still “conscious”, they wouldn’t just be stuck in the circus, they wouldn’t just be trapped with each other, they’d be trapped in the back of their minds, suppressed as second thought that would be completely overlooked. If not, then their minds would be seen as completely stable, and they wouldn’t even be able to get out via abstraction anymore! An everlasting generation of circus members that don’t go insane, argue, or abstract! Caine would see it as perfect!

My ramblings are just about a random thought I had, I don’t expect it to actually happen, though with how shocked the voice actors were with the script, and how the mind-altering substances aren’t completely off the table, there’s a possibility of it happening. An absolute nightmare of an ending for the show.

TADC Theory/AU 💅

A studio testing a VR game. The only issue is people keep getting stuck in there (such a shame) so they keep sending different people to save them, because they cannot help from the outside.

Their agents are very well trained, but since they don't have the access further into that realm, they don't know all of their people lost their memories. And worse, many have abstracted.

Who from the tadc cast would be most likely to help you hide a body?

Things to assume: this is a world in which such a thing could actually occur, you did it out of self defense, the characters view you as a friend. Also this is just for fun it's not that deep.

Jax: 50/50 chance. He might decline just to see you suffer some more with the panic of the situation, or he'd accept because that's the kinda thing he'd find entertaining. Either way he's only thinking about what he'll gain from the situation. Wouldn't be beyond ratting you out after blackmailing you, or just because he's bored.

Gangle: Yeah no. That's not happening. She wouldn't judge you but she wouldn't be in any condition to help either. Unless this is just like the plot of something she loves, then she's giddy and living in her own little movie.

Kinger: If he were in his right mind he'd try to figure out what happened and comfort you. Chances are he's not though, so no.

Zooble: They're down, not really phased, either. Might even be like "don't worry man, I've been there". Will absolutely not tell you what happened though.

Ragatha: She'd be really split on the whole thing. She'll ultimately help you and try to make you feel better but the experience will weigh on her, and you'll feel hella guilty if you realise.

Pomni: Depends. If she's able to keep a clear mind and not panic about the whole thing she'd probably agree, or at the very least try to help you figure out how to proceed. If she gets overwhelmed and too scared she might get in trouble, you're just gonna have to leave her be. Won't rat you out though.

Caine: He will not understand why you need his help. Might even tell people, and not get what the issue with that is. This man is only thinking about himself, but not maliciously so. You might be able to bribe him with compliments though.

Bubble: Yes. But you might regret it.

(If you disagree with any of these feel so free to drop your own headcanons but please be respectful about it, I did not think particularly deeply about all this)

I challenge all my moots to make a TADC OC/Sona(if they haven't already) but with me and @redwolfstudios 's headcanon inspired requirements

The requirements include:

• Must take inspiration from something you hate about yourself (physically, mentally, emotionally, how others perceive you, ect.)

• You can add things that you hate/dislike outside of yourself if it helps tie in the concepts and overall theme of your character

• It does not necessarily have to be completely circus themed as (at least) Zooble, Kinger, and Ragatha aren't completely circus themed nor exactly fit in a circus, same with some of the past members

• Just have fun with it! It may be stuff you hate about yourself or stuff you hate in general but that doesn't mean you can't love the final product!

I do suggest you do a little bit of research for your ideas since a little bit of research can go a long way to helping you put a design together and a possible gimmick, since your brain might have trouble connecting everything together into a character design/gimmick(it happened to Redwolf and @glitchtrapthebunny)
