Jimmy continuing to show a little growth and maturity this week, in some aspects —
"We Are The Ones." - Roman. "Yea, but we're not though." - Jimmy. — Jimmy is starting to see things for what they truly are, he's seeing the here and now, reality, not living on past laid, power and accolades (as Roman mentions), he's being realistic about their situation, where they're at, right now. In this moment.
He sees they need help, he sees it for what it is, as it is. He's not got unrealistic expectations - he's had the opportunity to see it more *clearly*, from afar, being stuck at home, giving him some time and some clarity.
He's had time, time away; from being sucked into the epicenter of it, from the chaos mulling all around, at every turn, and every corner... It's given him the space and time to think, contemplate, reflect, learn and grow. He knows better now, he's more level-headed. At least, he seems to be for now.
He's got another thing coming though, if he thinks that Jey is going to drop everything and come running to them, just cause they ask nicely. Especially after what they BOTH did to him, hurting him and tormenting him, manipulating him and using him, playing with him, with his life like that; everything they put him through.. But, I will say, I'm glad to see Jimmy humble himself enough to acknowledge that they need help.
And I get that Jimmy has his own issues with Jey, but most of all, it comes from a place of hurt. He's only ever wanted to protect Jey, at least that's how it started out, but it slowly festered into something more nefarious, bitter and ugly..
But right now, there's a bigger problem to deal with. They may just have to put aside their issues, just for a moment to deal with this ridiculous monstrosity in front of them. They will surely have to circle back to and deal their own issues once they've dealt with this, this hideous and convoluted excuse they call the new Bloodline. Or, prove me wrong and sort fix yourselves first, before you try and sort fix something outside of yourselves.
There's a lot of healing to be had.
#Jimmy Uso#Roman Reigns#Jey Uso#I'm hoping Jimmy has changed. He *seems* to have gained a little wisdom during his time off. *Seems* being the key word.#I'm hoping he's at least at the very least starting to head in the right direction.#He's got a lot of groveling to do. At the same time I get why he did what he did. He started out with good intentions.#But that turned into something more sinister. And then he was too far gone.#There's a lot of healing to be done here. For everyone involved and from everyone involved.#Jey is eventually going to have to make a choice. He's going to have to find it deep within himself to give them another chance.#And to forgive. Or choose NOT to. And choose himself instead.#I doubt it though. Eventually he's likely to give in. Because family is family. Blood is blood.#Wonder if they'll try and target Sami first. or second (if they end up getting him involved) so that they can use him to convince Jey.#And when I say involved... Is it let's make friends with Sami or let's threaten Sami?#There are bigger problems outside of the OG Bloodline to deal with. So. Which one are they going to deal with first?#The Bloodline#OG Bloodline#The Bloodline 2.0#wwe

honestly this is so important!!
before moving to japan this kinda thing was the only way of forcing myself to have constant exposure to the language. i started with apps or games that i used a bunch so already knew my way around (like instagram and animal crossing etc), and since i knew the english for those things by heart the transition was easy. slowly switching the less important apps (so not the phone language cus i was terrified of messing up the settings lol) like games and utilities slowly built up my confidence to change the 'more important' ones to the point that a majority of my apps are in japanese now. same for the irl exposure, like 90% of my youtube, livestream, drama, and music intake is in japanese and i swear to god im only able to live in this country rn because of that.
the constant exposure, constant use and constant reminders of vocab from the ways OP outlines that i did before i moved here have allowed me to get a job in my target language and friends that ill cherish for life
bringing your target language into your daily life is easily the best thing you can do for yourself as a language learner. writing your to-do lists in your target language, setting the phone language to your target language, cooking from recipes in your target language, etc. et.
#like its so weird#i watch an unhealthy amount of livestreams#like all day#and rewatch quite a few more times than im comfortable admitting#but thanks to that ive picked up so much vocab and so many sayings its ridiculous#ive had moments at work where a supervisor is talking and im like 'i know exactly what stream/ clip video i learned half of the words#shes saying thats fucking crazy'#as for the todo lists and memos etc obvs it builds up gradually with your confidence in the language#like i feel its pointless having to stop and learn ten new words when you wanna make a quick note#but the fun thing with writing to yourself is that it doesnt have to be pretty it doesnt have to be perfect#like if you wanna write most of it in english but have key words or half of it in ur target language go ahead!!#maybe even seeing words in that context surrounded by english would help you memorise it better! whatever you prefer baby!!#now go!! learn!! have fun!!! ill cheer you on

on the job
joel miller x female reader

summary: you and joel are forced to work together, but neither of you can get past the others stubborn attitude or contractor!joel and interior designer!reader fuck in a walk-in closet
content: nsfw, 18+ mdni, pre outbreak!joel, he’s kind of a huge asshole sorry, teasing, degradation, dirty talk, slightly dubcon, fingering, use of nicknames such as princess sweetheart and good girl, finger sucking, unprotected p in v sex, rough sex, sex against a wall, kinda public sex bc it’s on a job site?? pull out game strong with this one
author’s note: based on this lovely request. i made joel a little mean bc it felt right but at the end of the day he will forever be babygirl. also, i know very little about both of these professions so i apologize for any inaccuracies in that department
You liked to think that you were easy to work with, always polite and mindful— pleasant even.
You mostly kept to yourself, especially when you were working on a project alongside others, however, not everyone shared your cooperative mindset.
In fact, you had worked with a multitude of assholes. Men who thought they held some kind of power over you, who flourished under the opportunity to demean and mock your job like theirs was more important, but none of them even held a candle to Joel Miller.
Your paths crossed when you were hired by a pretentious, middle-aged woman in Austin to help design the interior of her new home— a home that was still under construction.
To make yourself familiar with the layout, you visited the site multiple times in the weeks before construction was scheduled to finish.
It was always an easy and uneventful trip. You greeted the workers, took a few pictures, wrote down some dimensions and then you were gone in twenty minutes tops; but that all changed the day you met Joel.
You waltzed into the house, waving to one of the men you had come to know from your previous visits and then you heard it, a deep berating voice targeted directly at you.
“Who the hell are you and why are you on my site without a fuckin’ hard hat?”
You stopped in your tracks as you were met with an unknown face.
“Uh sorry. I’m working on an interior design project for the Johnson’s. They told me I was welcome to come check out the space if I needed anything.” You didn’t know why, but your voice was coming out in compliance, the tone hushed.
The way this man approached you was incredibly entitled and unabashedly rude.
Normally you wouldn’t let some asshole like this get within two feet of you, let alone talk to you like that; but this guy had you questioning your morals for a split second. He was tall, and broad, and handsome. The southern drawl slipping from the smug curl of his lips and the flex of his biceps as his arms crossed over his chest, had your words stuttering.
“Well, until my job is finished, and the Johnson’s have the keys to their front door, I call the shots. And I don’t do well with unexpected visitors walkin’ around while my guys are trying to get work done.”
Your mouth nearly hung open at his words.
You’d barely said a word to him and he was coming at you with a disgustingly brash and assertive attitude. What the hell was his deal?
“Okay...” The word was drawn-out as it fell from your lips in annoyance.
“Well, it’s kind of funny, because this is probably the fifth time I’ve been here, and none of your guys seem to give a rats ass, so how about you let me do my job and I’ll let you do yours.”
Finally, you had gotten past the stranger’s criminally good looks and stuck to your guns.
There was no way in hell you were going to let him reprimand you for doing your job. Afterall, you had every right to be here.
“Yeah well, my guys will let you do whatever you want when you’re prancin’ around here in tight little dresses and high heels. You think they’re just bein’ nice for the hell of it?”
His irritation was masked by amusement as he looked you up and down, dramatically raking his eyes over your body.
“I don’t know who you think you are, but I’d really appreciate it if you could just drop the attitude and keep things professional.” The quality of your voice was stern, juxtaposing the way his eyes on your body had you suddenly feeling a rush of heat throughout your chest.
Anger.
The warmth was an angry fervor, definitely not one of lust or temptation. It was a burning irritation for the man standing in front of you, not a curious warmth for how his eyes clung to every curve of your body, taking his time drinking in any exposed skin.
His smile widened as he watched you falter under his stare. “I’ll drop my attitude when you drop yours sweetheart.”
“Listen, Mr-“
“Miller. Joel Miller.”
“Okay, Mr. Joel Miller. I have work to do, so I’m just going to walk past you, take a few notes and I’ll be out of your hair. Deal?”
“Fine. But if I see you back here again you better be wearin’ a hard hat. Don’t need any trouble because you trip and hit your pretty little head.” He let his eyes wander down your body once more, his voice full of sarcasm.
“Yeah yeah, got it boss.” You scoffed as you pushed past his broad frame. You didn’t turn to look back, but you could practically feel his eyes burning into you as you swayed into the entry way, hoping it was the last time you’d ever have to speak to him.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
You ran into Joel a few more times, each meeting more infuriating and demeaning than the last. He always had a smart comment on his tongue or a mocking intention in his voice.
Joel Miller had quickly become the bane of your existence; yet, for some reason there was a part of you, deep down, that always hoped to run into him when you went to scout out a new project for the house.
Maybe because he was undeniably handsome, always walking around with a charming smirk on his lips and a devious glint in his big brown eyes. It was almost as if he were challenging you— seeing how far he could push you before you snapped.
He continued to test your patience as you now stood in the giant walk-in closet off the primary bedroom.
You were trying to establish a color scheme sophisticated enough to fit Miss Johnson’s impossible to please pallet while Joel was making unnecessarily loud noises across the room.
He was far from graceful, the slamming and pounding of tools was all you could hear as he worked on one of the many intricate shoe shelves on the wall.
“I thought this side of the house was done.” You were speaking without looking in his direction, your eyes following the paint swatches on the wall.
“Was.” Joel’s voice was gruff as he continued working.
“Until the queen decided she needed more storage for all her designer shit.” He was chuckling at his own words, side eyeing you from his spot kneeling on the floor.
“You are genuinely the most unprofessional person I’ve ever met.” You dismissed his rude comment about the woman you were both employed by.
“That right?”
You refused to look at him, but you could hear the delight in his voice.
“Absolutely.” Your response was curt, a quick and straight-forward delivery.
“Good.”
As if you couldn’t hate him more, the word leaving his lips had you turning your head sharply in his direction, an appalled expression plastered across your face.
“God you get on my last nerve.”
“That right?” Again, his lips tugged into a smirk as he looked at you.
You raised your brows in annoyance with a single nod of your head at his question.
“Good.” His voice was taunting as he watched you shake your head in frustration.
You brought your eyes back to the wall in front of you, not giving Joel another second of your attention.
After a few seconds of silence his deep voice broke into the room. “You know, if you weren’t so uptight, maybe I’d ask you out for a drink sometime.”
It took you a minute to register his words. Was he implying that he wanted to ask you on a date while insulting you at the same time? What a fucked-up, backhanded compliment; one that had your chest stirring with warmth.
“Well, I guess it’s too bad I’m such an high-strung bitch then.” Sarcasm dripped from your words as you kept your eyes trained ahead, your head spinning from Joel’s implicit interest.
“I doubt you’d last one minute in the bar I’d take you to anyway.”
His comment had your head snapping back again. This time his eyes were already on you, waiting to see a reaction.
“And why’s that?” Your voice cut through the room at his assumption.
“Because it’s not exactly a five star establishment, and I think you’re just like all these pretentious fucks you work for.” He raised an eyebrow at you before turning back to the shelf in front of him, tending to a few finishing touches.
“Always so put together, walking around here with your shoulders high.” He was nonchalant as he criticized you, hands busy taking measurements, not even paying an ounce of attention to the dirty look you were currently shooting at him from the other side of the room.
“You think you’re better than everyone, but you’re just another pretty face with an overblown ego.”
There it was. The final blow that had your body tensing with anger.
You couldn’t believe that just a few seconds ago you were letting him flatter you, swooning under the smallest inkling of positivity he threw your way.
He was the worst kind of guy, the kind that built you up just to tear you down. The kind that wanted to make you feel worse about yourself so you would go running to him for a semblance of positive reinforcement.
Joel Miller liked the chase— thrived off being such a douchebag that women somehow ended up falling on their knees for him. But you, you weren’t going to be that woman.
“Me? Talk about a massive-fucking-ego, take a look in the mirror Miller. You’re the one always making sure I know my place around here, acting like a fucking sociopath. It’s like you get off on being an asshole.”
He stopped what he was doing and looked directly at you, his expression unreadable, like your cruel words caused a switch in him to flip.
“Maybe I do.”
“What?”
“Maybe I like gettin’ under your skin, watchin’ you get all flustered.” He spoke slowly, setting down his materials and standing to his feet.
“Think it’s kinda cute. You’re always tryin’ to act all big and bad, but I know I make you nervous. I can see it in the way you look at me.” He didn’t move, the smirk on his face causing your eyebrows to furrow in irritation.
You crossed your arms over your chest, standing strong on your opinion that Joel was the world’s biggest asshole. You wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of letting his words get to you.
“You can stop wherever you’re going with this. I’m not here to play your little bullshit games, I’m here to do a job and get paid.”
“Who says you can’t have a little fun on the job?” His voice was laced with a deep seriousness as he set his tools down on one of the many shelves adorning the walls. You watched him over your shoulder but kept your back turned, your body still facing the wall.
“Turn around.” The command left his lips and you wanted to laugh at his attempt of authority but the sincerity in his voice stopped you in your tracks.
“What? No-“
“C’mon sweetheart, I think we both know you like bein’ told what to do.” His voice cut you off, the signature smirk on his lips sending a buzz straight to your head.
You didn’t mean to, or maybe you did, but your body turned to face him, watching intently as he continued speaking. His broad frame emphatic as he stood across from you.
“I bet you like it, having someone boss you around. Makes you feel a little inferior.”
As the words left his lips he began walking toward you.
It was a casual stroll, not intense or threatening, yet you felt your pulse racing and your posture slumping at his advances.
“Oh please. You need a reality check Joel.”
“Wanna give it to me princess?”
You kept the appearance of control as he continued moving forward, but internally you were fighting feelings of complete disarray.
You wanted to be offended— maybe even slap him across the face for his wildly inappropriate nickname and the implication of his words. But instead, you froze, his body now less than a foot away from yours and his words ringing in your ears.
There was absolutely no denying the way his statement had your thighs clenching and your head spinning. Something in his delivery, smug and dirty with his eyes holding a perverted hunger and a promise of follow through, made you weak.
You kept your body from jolting when you felt the touch of his hand wrapping around your waist, finding purchase dangerously low on your back.
“Bet you’ve never done anythin’ like this.” His voice was sturdy— rigid with power.
The weight of his hand was rough, his palm resting just above the curve of your ass. His touch was heavy yet temperate as he held you, softly pulling you’re your body further into his.
“Lettin’ some guy you barely know put his hands all over you.”
You watched his eyes carefully, your lips parted but you couldn’t find any words to fill them. You weren’t sure if you wanted to tell him to stop or keep going.
“Bet all the guys you hook up with are just as prim and proper as you. Can’t imagine that those dipshits graduating from UT with a business degree are fuckin’ you the right way.”
His other hand came to the small of your waist, the movement sending a faint gasp straight to your lips. Your reaction had Joel smirking, reinforcing his grip on your body.
“Probably don’t even know how to get you off.”
“You’re disgusting.” Your voice was a whisper. The insult that you meant to hurl his way dissolved in a pitiful sigh at the way his fingertips were latching onto you.
“Am I? Bet you like that too.” This time he leaned in, causing his words to land directly in your ear, his breath warm on your neck.
“Bet you want someone a little rough around the edges. Someone to fuck you real nice.”
As he spoke, his fingers curled into your body. His grip on you constricting.
His frame pushed into yours, sending you shuffling backward until your back was met with the solid friction of the wall.
“Joel..”
You were searching in your mind, trying to form an articulate sentence to explain why this was wrong; why you couldn’t be in this position with him.
But he had you trapped against the weight of his body— big and wide and rough.
Every single rational thought in your head dissipated, replaced by an instinctual need to have him fuck you against the wall of this ridiculously expensive closet.
He was right, you’d never done anything like this and the excitement of it— the risk, had your entire body burning with white-hot desire.
“Tell me to stop and I will.” His hands were holding your hips, pressing you into the wall with his chest dangerously close to yours.
“But I don’t think you want me to.” For a single second you could see an indication of honesty in his eyes as he looked you over, searching for any sign of distress on your face. And when he couldn’t find it, his stare narrowed and his hands held tighter, rotating your body in his grasp until your chest was pressed against the wall.
“I think,” He leaned into you, your ass pushing against the bulge in his jeans as his hum landed on the skin right beneath your ear.
“You want me to lift up this pretty little dress and fuck you nice and hard right here, against this wall.”
His hands found the hem of your dress, bringing it up just enough to bunch at your waist.
Your lower half was almost bare, the only clothing keeping your cunt from being fully exposed to him was the little black thong encasing the dripping mess that had now built up between your legs. It didn’t stop him from reaching between your bodies, pressing his thumb against your clothed entrance.
“Fuck- you’re soaked princess.” The first word was a prolonged throaty groan, the rest of the sentence fumbling behind it.
“How long you been thinkin’ bout this huh? Me touchin’ you, makin’ you beg for it.” He was having too much fun playing with you through your panties, his thumb threatening to dip into you even with the lace still covering your entrance.
He pushed against it, moving between your clothed folds and marveling at the wetness seeping through the material.
“I’m not begging.” You managed to hiss out a response, turning your head to peer at him, your cheek nearly pressing against the wall.
“Oh, so she’s always mouthy huh?”
You watched the diabolical grin eat away at his face from the power trip of having you trapped under his weight.
You could talk-back all you wanted— be as bratty and uncooperative as possible, but it didn’t change the fact that he had you right where he wanted you.
“Keep talkin’ baby, go on.” He innocently raised his brows at you, his voice taunting as the weight of his thumb danced between your legs.
“I Know you want this too. You act like you can’t stand me, but I see the way you look at me…” Your voice was quiet but strong as you held onto the last bit of composure you had left, using it to defy the man at your back.
You were trying your best not to lose your train of thought as you spoke. You wouldn’t give up the fight that easily, succumbing to his tempting words and lewd touches. You could tell Joel was used to getting his way and every muscle in your body ached to challenge him.
“The way your eyes are glued to my ass every time I walk past you.” You glared over your shoulder as the words drifted off your lips in a gentle accusation.
His dark chuckle filled the room as his eyes darted away from yours for a short second. Then his stare was back on you— more intense than before. The two of you watching each other, sitting in a pool of mutual revelation.
You both knew it.
You knew since day one that there was a shared attraction, an unspoken sexual tension hidden behind rude words and unsavory exchanges.
What was happening now was just a detonation of built-up pressure that had been stewing for weeks; evident in the wetness at your core and the bulge in Joel’s jeans.
“Anythin’ else you wanna say? Should probably get it all out before I have you all fucked-out on my cock.” His voice dropped to a low whisper as he hooked his thumb into your underwear, pulling the material to the side, not even bothering to take them off completely.
A soft gasp slid from your lips at the cool air meeting your newly exposed center, the slick pooling at your entrance only adding to the airy sensation.
“You’re so fucking arrogant.”
The words barely left your lips when you felt his touch meet your core, his fingers spreading your arousal.
You had more to say to him, you wanted to tell him how annoying he was and how you had lost every ounce of decency by letting him talk to you this way, but the words were caught in your throat as he pushed two fingers into you.
“Maybe I have good reason to be.”
Your eyes were squeezed shut at the unexpected feeling of him filling you with his fingers, yet you could hear the smirk dripping in his voice.
“You ever think about that sweetheart?”
His words were impatient, the initial drive of his fingers into your entrance was rough, but now they slowly worked into you. His movements were careful— cautious even.
It was as if he wanted to take his time, watching your body and listening to the shaky breaths leave your lips.
His hand worked between your legs, searching for the exact technique that would send you spewing profanities and crumbling against the wall.
He curled his fingertips at just the right spot, not too deep and not too forceful, just a gentle pulse that had an impulsive whimper pouring from your chest.
“Maybe I’m so arrogant because I know I’m good at what I do.” His words held a double meaning as he added a third finger to stroke your newfound sweet spot.
You almost yelped from the stretch, but you held it back as best you could, refusing to give him the gratification of your submission.
The position he had you in; back arched and ass pushed out, made it almost embarrassingly easy for the addition of a third digit as he watched them to sink into you.
You couldn’t help but hum in approval as he stroked you repeatedly, rubbing against the inviting drawl of your walls. You tried not to lose yourself at his fingertips, knowing from the familiar coil of pleasure in your core that he could have you coming on his fingers at any given moment.
“Thought you were gonna fuck me, huh?” Your voice was a string of moans as you tried your best to form a coherent sentence with his hand pushed between your bodies.
As much as you didn’t want his movements to stop, you also didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of making you finish when he’d barely even gotten his hands on you.
Knowing Joel, he would never let you live it down. He’d ride around on his metaphorical high horse and crown himself the king of female orgasms. So instead of letting him bring you to the precipice of release, you met him with a phrase of defiance. But your challenging words were really just a gateway to get what you wanted. You could put on a tough act, but at the end of the day Joel was right, you did want him to fuck you in way no one ever had— hungry and hard against the wall, right here in your client’s house.
In fact, the thought of it had taken over every fiber of your being. The anticipation of feeling him rail into you was clouding your judgement and coursing through your veins at an alarming speed.
“Think you can take it?” His growl stuck in your ears as he pulled out of you. The lewd noises of his fingers plunging into the slick mess at your folds was quickly replaced by the sound of him fumbling with his belt buckle.
“How d’you want it, huh baby? You the sentimental type? Want it nice and slow and deep? Or d’you just wanna be ruined? Want someone to be a little rough with ya?” He was asking, but you couldn’t help but note the rhetorical quality of his words as you heard the rustle of his jeans pushing down his thighs.
“That’s sweet of you to give me choice, maybe you don’t like control as much as I thought- “
Your sarcastic remark was cut short at the abrupt stretch of Joel’s length slamming into you.
“Rough it is then.” His voice was a deep grunt echoing from behind you as he paused, giving you a split second to adjust before pulling back out and thrusting into you again.
“Shit princess, didn’t think you’d be this fuckin’ tight.”
His voice swam with amusement and pleasure as he watched the way his dick fully disappeared into you with each thrust of his hips.
Hands pulled at your waist as you felt Joel drive deeper with every breathless groan floating off his lips.
“Look at you, takin’ me like such a good girl.” The words weren’t sweet, instead they teased you, shooting out of his mouth with a mocking tenor.
You couldn’t keep your body from reacting to his praise, albeit contemptuous, the words still held a deep truth about the situation unfolding against the wall of your shared employer’s closet.
“Oh, you like that don’t ya? When I tell you what a good girl you are?” His voice was a broken growl of grunts and sighs as he fucked into you— vigorous and desperate.
His pace was unrelenting as he held onto your waist, pulling you back to meet him with every drive of his hips into yours.
He let one of his hands travel up your body until he was reaching for your jaw, tilting your head up and back until your body was arched at a sinful angle.
“See, I knew you just needed a good fuck.” His groan was right in your ear now that he held your head close to his, the grip he had on your jaw was firm.
It was becoming impossible for you to keep quiet, the strength and depth of his thrusts were causing explicit moans to skate past yours lips.
The hand that Joel was using to hold your face was now maneuvering to your mouth in an effort to muffle the obscene sounds rolling off your tongue. Two of his fingers pushed at your lips, hooking into your mouth.
“Knew that little attitude a’yours was all for show.”
You closed your lips around his digits as he railed into you, a guttural moan sliding up your throat and humming onto his fingers.
“Fuck.” His fowl groan was a direct result of your soft mouth sucking around his fingers, mimicking the way you had his cock encased between your legs.
You invited his touch onto your tongue, swirling around his thick digits and sucking him in deeper, earning a prolonged sigh from Joel as he fucked into you even harder.
Each stroke of his cock had your body pressing further into the wall— his pace was mean and unyielding, like he had something to prove.
With the hand not in your mouth, Joel reached around your body, his fingertips finding your clit and rubbing quick careless circles over the bundle of nerves.
Your body faltered under his touch, your knees slightly buckling, and if it weren’t for the weight of his body trapping you against the wall, you’d be a puddle on the floor.
He slowed his pace slightly, taking his time to find that spot along your walls again. The one that he discovered just minutes ago when he was three fingers deep in your dripping cunt.
Whines of approval vibrated against the pads of his fingertips still pressing down on your tongue. His hips began rocking into you at just the right angle— slow and deliberate, with the goal of feeling you coming undone on his cock.
“That it baby? Right there?” Again, his words were a sadistic tease, but his voice gave way to pitiful throaty whines.
You couldn’t speak, couldn’t even think with the way he was working you toward your release.
Everything felt so overwhelming, his unrelenting thrusts hitting you in the perfect place, his touch on your clit, rough and impatient and his fingers filling your mouth— all of it creating the perfect storm of inconceivable pleasure.
A jolt of relief surged through your body as the pressure inside you snapped. You let yourself fall further into the wall as Joel’s name slipped from your mouth in a chant.
Hearing his name on your lips in such a distant and dazed voice, had Joel’s cock pulsing. Your walls were clenching from your climax, sucking him in deeper and he couldn’t handle the abundance of warmth enveloping him.
Both of his hands came down to your hips, fingers digging into your skin as held tight.
His thrusts were merciless as he used you to reach his peak, chasing the familiar buildup of tension in his core as he drove into you at a startling pace.
Then he pulled out abruptly.
One hand on his cock, stroking just twice before spilling onto the skin of your lower back, the other pushing your dress further up your body to keep it from becoming a jizz painted mess.
Silence filled the room.
Neither of you spoke as your hands pushed against the wall underneath your palms. You stayed pressed there, Joel’s body still behind you evident in the ragged breaths leaving his chest.
Still no words were exchanged as you felt Joel take a step back, the warmth of his presence fading just slightly.
You dared to break your pleasure induced trance to look over your shoulder, only find him pulling his jeans back up his body and tightening his belt without even sparing you a glance.
You began to move until you were reminded of the thick warm mess resting on your back, keeping you from pulling your dress down.
Before you could do anything, Joel was back behind you, hooking his fingers into the waist band of your panties and tugging them down your legs. He stopped at your ankles to tap against your skin, prompting you to step out of them.
Once the lacy material was fully in his grasp, he brought them up to your lower back, using them to gather his spend. He cleaned his mess with the lacy material then pulled your dress back down to cover your lower half. A sticky residue was left on your backside as a plaguing reminder of what had just transpired between you.
You turned to face him, watching as he crumpled up your ruined underwear and shoved it into his back pocket with a smirk on his face.
“How about that drink? Could meet you tomorrow night, should be done here around five.” He was back across the room in an instant, gathering tools and not bothering to look in your direction.
His invitation was genuine, but his words lacked interest.
“I’ll get these back to you then.” His hand came to rest on his back pocket, fingers tapping against the denim holding your used panties.
A self-righteous smile sat on his face as he shot you a look of pure deviance before his eyes were back on his hands as they worked to gather his materials.
“Yeah, okay.” Your voice came out more flustered than you intended as you smoothed out your dress over your thighs.
Joel was heading for the closet door, tool bag clutched in his hand as he gave you one last gaze of victory.
“It’s a date.” The words were a grumble from his lips, the same ones that were busy parading a smug smile.
Then he left you standing alone in the small room, your mind racing around itself and your legs still trembling.
A subtle grin rested on your face as you stared down at the floor, trying to find some sort of equilibrium before even attempting to move.
The giant walk-in closet still encasing a lingering heat of reckless choices as you prepared to go on with your day— business as usual.

Disciple Shen Yuan (during disciple Shen Jiu era) who accidentally became the Divination Peak's head disciple bc he worked so hard and used all his meta knowledge, just so he could make a video-based divination system that shows the future. The Peak Lords were all appropriately impressed and this seals Shen Yuan as the next Divination Peak Peak Lord. A lot of pre-canon problems get solved. It becomes a world-changing invention.
Shen Yuan made it just to watch the endings of all his favorite animes.
Just. The hilarity of Peak Lord Shen Yuan becoming this mysterious genius Seer, sought after by the entire cultivational world. And then he just locks himself inside, pretending to be "prophesizing" or something. He's a full blown NEET at this point. He completely misses Shen Jiu's entry to the sect bc he was too busy "dvining" the next episode of Frieren Beyond the Journey's End. The next time he comes out, its with some vague words of valuing time spent with your peers.
The Qing Generation Peak Lords immediately listens to him and are now doing constant meet ups as the equivalent of team bulding exercises. The Shen Qingqiu rumors get solved. Shen Jiu is appropriately wary of this seemingly all knowing Peak Lord whom everyone listens to. And yet he also considers. Someone who can see the future? Someone who can SPEAK of the future they see and CHANGE it? Oh? Someone who can see all possible threats? What do you mean he can also divine your past? Past as in blackmail material?
Shen Jiu, in a fit of genius proving his right to be called the sect strategist, decides he'll have to test tf outta Shen Yuan to see if he can trust him (and sj is also low key terrified and hateful bc here is someone who can ruin everything he's ever done and he will NOT just let it be tyvm) and so Shen Jiu just. Does some minor (extensive) background search. And tries ro get Shen Yuan to snap. Yeah, that's right. Just annoy the scary all-seeing dude.
Shen Yuan eventually gets super annoyed, his inner internet troll has been desperately struggling to get free for YEARS, and now here's a convenient target who totally deserves it. Shen-Shixiong you total prick, why do you keep digging up everything about Shen Yuan!
So. In a fit of similar genius spiked with way too much pettiness, Shen Yuan goes "You little prick, lets see how you like it when YOUR privacy gets invaded!" and promptly plays a random scene from Shen Jiu's future ala projector style while they were in a Peak Lord meeting.
Shen Yuan made sure its nothing distressing or embarassing, he's petty not cruel! Except he did this by just doing a routine surface level scan of the emotions involved, and it was on "happy." Shen Yuan, a fuerdai who never really knew about Shen Jiu's past, just assumed it'd be a basic scene of maybe having a good meal or talking to a friend or something. He did NOT realize how fucking rare "Happy" is for Shen Jiu.
The scene that plays is a marriage.
Two figures decked in regal red marriage robes are in a bow in front of each other. The unmistakeable Grand Hall of Cang Qiong swathed in tastefully luxurious decorations surrounds them. There are also a lot of other damning details.
Qing Jing Peak's logo is embroidered onto the billowing ribbons. Paired with Divination Peak's own logo.
The two figures stand.
Its Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan.
When future-Shen Jiu actually smiled at future-Shen Yuan (who looks disgustingly in love wtf) and started leaning in for a kiss, present-Shen Yuan violently slams the divining tool off.
The loud slam is followed with a damning silent moment. That, unfortunately, lasted only for an actual moment.
Someone clears their throat.
Its Qi Qingqi.
She has a shit eating grin on her face. Besides her, Wei Qingwei's expression is slowly starting to match. Around, the other peak lords are either too invested, or carefully avoiding looking at him and Shen Jiu.
Shen Yuan very, very carefully does not look Shen Jiu's way.
"So..." Qi Qingqi begins. "Interesting divination there, Shen-Da-Shixiong, Shen-Er-Shixiong." Her words practically drip with insinuation.
Oh God. Oh Fuck. Fuck no.
Side Notes:
Shen Yuan's eyes glow a beight system blue whenever he "divines the future"
Shen Yuan wears a fortune teller outfit, meaning he's typically covered head to toe, complete with a veil.
Shen Yuan CAN actually see the future and show it to other people, either ala projector style 2d view of his choosing. or a complete 3d (like a pensieve in hp)

Shen Twins but Shen Yuan transmigrated as an infant and grew up alongside his twin. Living through their mother's abandonment, being captured and sold into slavery, and the Qui household.
Shen Yuan had been born fragile and sickly, a trait that followed him from his previous life and one that left Shen Jiu feeling overprotective of his only remaining family. Making himself into a bigger target to receive punishment and divert attention away from his weak twin.
A plan that was destined to eventually fail.
It had been a mistake to even entertain the thought of pursuing a path of cultivation. It was an even greater one to keep his mouth firmly shut as he was whipped, staring defiantly into the eyes of his abuser and refusing to give him the satisfaction of hearing his cries.
Qiu Jianluo had always known what Shen Jiu treasured more than his own well-being, and he wasn’t opposed to losing one useless slave in order to break the other.
That was the night that Shen Jiu lost his twin brother... it was also the night that he murdered Qiu Jianluo with his own hands, leaving behind the burning mansion with his brother's body cradled in his arms.
Shen Jiu hadn't wanted to depend on Wu Yanzi after the massacre, yet the man held in his hands the key to bringing Shen Yuan back to him. Calling upon his twins soul and keeping it held within an artifact with promises that he could create another body for Shen Yuan if Shen Jiu faithfully followed his every word.
It wasn't ideal, but he would sell his soul and ruin his cultivation to hear Shen Yuan's voice again.
So Shen Jiu had no qualms with murdering Wu Yanzi and claiming the artifact that held his brother's soul. Deciding that he would find his own means to bringing Shen Yuan back without dirtying his hands with Qi-Ge's blood.
That was how Shen Yuan found himself spitting up dirt several years later, in a new body that hadn't seemed to age a day from when he died to Qui Jianluo's hands. Mouth opened wide in shock as he stared into the face of the notorious scum villain Shen Qingqui.... who so happened to be his twin??

this panel from the world guide of falin being surrounded by other girls while laios is all alone kills me because. that's it. that's the key difference in their journeys.
as laios states himself, he left the village in order to create a home for him and falin elsewhere. a home that won't collapse due to others' hatred and fears like their old home did, a home where they are loved and accepted unconditionally. but as he soon found out, even before earning money, or having walls surrounding him and a roof above his head- what he so earnestly desired was to meet other people who will accept him for who he is as well. instead, he kept being tormented by those around him, shunned and sneered at. his loneliness quickly became all-consuming until he truly had nothing left except for the monsters in the pages of his book, but even that became a target of mockery and destroyed. that's why ever since the day he left the village, he never felt that he truly made the right choice. so he kept running away: unable to resist and unable to accpet.
and an ocean away from him there was his sister, who never managed to fully fit in herself. but unlike him, she met a person who became a home to her and learned what a true friendship was for the first time in her life. and laios clearly realizes that too when he finally sees falin and marcille together, he can tell his sister obtained the greatest treasure there is on her own- the exact thing he never managed to find anywhere himself, thus coming back empty-handed to the sister he left the village for.
but when you read this part of the manga, laios's focus is on falin's loneliness, not his own. he talks about how it hurts thinking about all those moments she had to spend alone because he wasn't there for her, so it almost sounds like he's the one who couldn't bear her suffering and therefore decided to not let her go again. but we do get a glimpse of their first meeting after that almost-decade long separation in the manga, and then we see more of that in the world guide and daydream hour- and it becomes abundantly clear that it was falin who was trying to protect and save him from this pit of loneliness and depression he was in.
so instead of just doing his best to atone for leaving her behind in the village and making sure she is never lonely again, it might also be that laios was desperately clinging to the one person in the world he felt that accepted and loved him unconditionally. those words he used to describe his motivation to stay by falin's side are the exact words she would've used as well; she couldn't bear leaving him behind in this state. in a sense, they were each other's shackles.
but then she did. she died for him and their friends, and ironically enough, it was by leaving him alone like this that he was finally able to stand on his own and put his full trust in others. to have the courage to reveal who he is and give others the opportunity to accept him after such a long time of hiding. it was a long journey, but his hiding finally came to an end when he faced the others after shedding his monster form. and i love that the person who was falin's "home" all those years away from laios, marcille, became just as meaningful to him during their time separated from falin- the first one to find him and show him that he isn't alone anymore. just as he did for her.
so at the end of the story when falin talks about all the places she would like to go, it's not just that she wants to pursue her own dreams- but that she actually feels free to do so and go anywhere she desires. and one of the main reasons for that is that her brother finally found new people he wants to be with; his own home.

Satoru Gojo with his…slightly, depressed wife who has episodes!
Satoru adored his wife, in every way possible and more. You were the center of his world, and everything he did revolved around you. In his eyes there was nothing wrong with the beautiful woman who he had fallen in love with.
Except you knew better.
You hid them well in the beginning. Only allowing your mind and body the space to process emotions when Satoru would be away from home for long periods of time. Depression dwelled in the lowest pits of your body and consumed your being more often than you’d care to admit. Episodes would come every now and then, but never as hard as they did in the winter.
Satoru slowly became aware of the increasingly complex situations. How your mind would cultivate cruel thoughts targeted at yourself and whether or not you were worthy of the things you had around you. It broke his heart into a million pieces to see his sweetheart’s smile dwindle away until ultimately disappearing for days on end.
So when your husband came home from a long working day, he’d creep into the dark bedroom you share—to hold you.
To prove that he loved you.
Chasing away any terrifying thoughts that might offer a window of opportunity to doubt yourself. To chase away the fear of his vows being some empty promise he never intended to keep.
He’d ease down into the bed carefully as not to startle you. “I’m home sweetheart.” Gingerly sweeping wild hair from your forehead to peck at the soft skin.
Tears would run down your face at the slightest touch. Warm, crystal-clear trails that warmed your cold exterior. “Hi.”
“How was your day?” Satoru’s voice soothed the ache within your chest, swimming into your throat. His hand swiped flat warm stripes down your side offering a silent invitation to sink into him. And you take it.
In the stillness of your bedroom, the rustling of sheets sounds louder than you wanted it too. In a short few moves, you’re tucked tightly into Satoru’s chest with his shirt balled loosely within your hands. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I’m like this.” The words are painful coming out. They’re horribly scratchy with a tinge of insanity hidden behind the syllables.
Two solid. Strong. Reliable arms are tied around your waist. His lips kiss away every tear they can while his fingers smooth the tense muscles of your back. “No, no. You don’t ever need to be sorry for anything. I love you with my entire heart baby, nothing will change that.” You shook under his touch despite the ginger nature of the situation.
“But-“
A firm but still sweet kiss was planted against your lips. “No buts. You are my wife, and I will spend the rest of my life showing you what that means.”
And he followed through with that promise.
Satoru took days off from work, refused to work late more than two nights a week, and any business trips would be done with haste. Hell he even began bringing you to the highschool with him! “My students would love you, not more than me of course.” His voice always held a mischievous tone but the sugary sweet smile never once faltered.
Afterall, you were the one woman in his life who held the very key to his heart. He’d be damned if he didn’t protect yours in return.

“Can I do yours?” you asked, not bothering to shift the mirror as you cleaned up the stray hairs around your left brow.
There was a pause of silence, followed by the rustle of paperwork. Not nearly a sufficient response, so you gently kicked Aaron’s thigh in protest.
“Do my what?”
“Your eyebrows,” you answered, tilting your head as you inspected your reflection, trying to catch the last bit of sunlight streaming through the window. One brow was cooperating. The other looked like it had wandered off and joined a different face entirely.
“They’re not twins,” you muttered. “Barely sisters. Maybe even distant, resentful cousins.”
He made a quiet sound that might’ve been a laugh. “And what exactly are you implying about mine?”
“They could use a little TLC,” you argued lightly, leaning back to look at him over the mirror in your hand. “When was the last time you did them?”
He looked up from his files, one brow lifting—ironically. “I don’t make a habit of grooming my eyebrows.”
“Yeah…I can tell.”
That earned you the famous Hotchner scowl, though it had stopped working on you several scowls ago—right around the time you realised he was all bark and no bite. Or, at least, never with you.
Without another word, you dropped the mirror onto the coffee table and swung one leg over his, settling into his lap like it was your favourite seat…because it was. He stilled beneath you, body going just a little tense, like he wasn’t entirely sure where this was heading, but had no intention of stopping it.
“You’re not serious.”
“Deadly,” you replied, fingers already threading through the front of his hair. You tugged just enough to guide, making sure his head tipped back against the couch cushion. “Oof. Would you look at that, Hotchner, I think you’re starting to grow a monobrow.”
“And what’s wrong with that?”
“She needs to go. Quickly.” You leaned in, squinting like you were about to perform life-saving surgery and plucked a hair right from the middle of his brow before he had a chance to respond.
He flinched.
“Baby,” you teased, barely bothering to hide the laugh building in your throat. “You’re fine.”
“You’re enjoying this far too much.”
“Obviously. I’m in your lap, holding tweezers, and making you nervous. This is my peak.” Just as you plucked another hair, you felt his hands tighten slightly at your hips.
“Just be quick,” he muttered.
Yeah. There was just one small problem with that. Quick wasn’t in your plans tonight. Aaron might be the boss at work, but at home, it was you who got your way. Always had. And truthfully? You didn’t care all that much about his eyebrows. Or yours, for that matter.
You just really, really wanted to be in his lap.
You let the tweezers hover his face again as you pretended to search for another target.
“Hm…nope, that one’s got character. Can’t lose it.”
He huffed. “You’re not even trying anymore.”
“I am,” you insisted, all sickly-sweet innocence as you adjusted your grip on his shoulders, letting your fingers toy with the collar of his polo. “Just want to make sure they’re perfect.”
He cracked one eye open. “Mh-hm.”
“What? You want me to do a half-assed job? You want uneven arches, Aaron?”
“You’ve got two minutes left.”
Silly man. As if you were on his clock.
You said nothing, just hummed like the consummate professional you clearly were, smoothing out his right brow with the pad of your finger. And then—because comfort was key, obviously—you shifted. Absolutely not intentionally aligning yourself with the zipper of his jeans.
You caught the half-shaky exhale he tried to hide and decided it still didn’t feel quite right.
Goldilocks might’ve had a point.
So you adjusted again, this time with a little more pressure. For once, you were grateful for the humidity that made you choose a dress—and the skimpiest, thinnest pair of underwear you owned.
All, of course, in the name of practicality.
His hands twitched at your waist, fingers flexing like he was stuck between wanting to grip you tighter or stay neutral. (Spoiler: he was failing at staying neutral.)
“This all part of the grooming experience?”
“Me taking my time? Absolutely. You know I give a hundred percent to everything I do, baby.”
"I know, honey," he drawled. "You've called me baby twice in the last three minutes. That's usually when you want something."
You blinked. "Excuse me?"
He smiled—subtle, smug, and, annoyingly, entirely correct. Because, yes, okay, you did want something. Just... nothing that came with a price tag. This time.
"What is it?" he asked, utterly unbothered because he was synced up to you in that way that meant nothing you said, did, or asked of him could really surprise him anymore. "Vacation days? Shoes? I told you, you don't have to ask. The wallet's in the drawer."
You gave his hair another tug, guiding his head back to the couch cushions like you were placing something delicate. “You know there’s actually a government term for what you’re implying right now.”
“Yeah?”
His eyes drifted closed again, and he looked so… soft. Almost unarmoured. Breakable in the gentlest way. The tension that usually lived in his jaw, his brow, his posture—gone. Off choosing a different victim for the day.
Lit by the delicate setting sun, he looked—
Angelic.
Almost too pure for what you had planned.
Because while he was just trying to finish a stack of paperwork, you were trying to survive the throb between your legs. And your dress, as helpful as it was in theory, wasn’t offering enough friction to solve anything. So you decided to do what any self-respecting sinner would.
You were going to drag him down a little closer to your level.
Make him less divine, and a little more yours.
“Sugar baby,” you blurted, remembering you were mid-conversation and should probably at least pretend you were behaving. “That’s the term. Is that what you’re implying I am?”
He grinned.
And then he was the one to adjust—lifting his hips just as his hands pressed you down harder against him, guiding you into him.
You clamped your mouth shut, eyes fluttering as the pressure hit exactly where you needed it.
He opened his eyes then, and you did your best to keep a straight face. (Spoiler: you were the one failing this time.)
“You think I’d reduce you to that?”
You reached for the tweezers again, if only for something to do, dragging a lazy finger across his brow like you were still pretending to care about symmetry. “You did say the wallet’s in the drawer.”
“I did.” His grip tightened just enough at your waist to make your thighs instinctively clench around him, something you knew he felt. “But that’s because I’d give you anything you ever wanted without expecting anything in return.”
You pouted, feeling the buttons of his polo brush against your nipples, because, yes, humidity had also declared it a no-bra day, and yes, you were prepared to weaponize it. “So you don’t want my sugar?”
“I want all of you,” he corrected. “Every part.”
Of course he was still angelic about it—still saying all the right things, still making it a priority to remind you of your worth, even while you were actively plotting how to make him finish in his jeans.
Rude.
But also righteous.
And still better than you deserved…which will only make this all the more satisfying.
You blinked down at him, lips parted, a slow breath pulling into your lungs as the weight of his words landed somewhere deep between your legs.
“You’re really not going to let me be shallow for five minutes, huh?” Your fingers slipped from his brow to his throat, thumb brushing his pulse just to feel how not calm he actually was.
“No,” he said simply, shaking his head. “You’re not shallow. Just a little needy.”
You hummed like that wasn’t already obvious, like the need hadn’t soaked straight through your panties and probably left a trail somewhere along your thigh by now. Still, for the sake of appearances you brought the tweezers to his brow again.
“Hold still,” you murmured, right as you bucked your hips into him.
You felt his hands slip beneath your dress, rough and warm against bare skin as they roamed—up your thigh, your lower back, your spine.
“I said hold still,” you repeated, the smile in your voice completely ruining the authority you hoped to fake.
He did the opposite.
His hands kept traveling up your back, and you dropped the tweezers altogether, your hands settling on his shoulders as you forced yourself to grind against him, feeling not just the zipper, but the outline of his hard cock, straining like a sin he hadn’t meant to commit.
“Fuck,” you breathed, the word breaking apart in your throat like glass.
Your lips latched onto the skin beneath his jaw, feeling his skittish pulse under your tongue as you sucked and smoothed over the sting. Aaron’s grip on your neck tightened—a weak, almost pathetic attempt to tame you, to reel you back in, just so he could reclaim a fraction of the control you had stolen.
“This was never about my eyebrows, was it?”
You didn’t answer. Didn’t care to. Instead, your teeth scraped lightly over the hickey you were hoping would linger, hips working against him like the truth being unveiled—not the sweet thing he thought you were, but a wicked woman who knew exactly how to get what she wanted.
“You’re not even listening,” he said again, a breathless laugh ghosting across your temple, cut off by the groan that followed when your hips met his just right. “Too busy getting yourself off.”
“Pretty and smart,” you mumbled lazily, the friction turning sharper, your clit throbbing now with every slow drag over the rough fabric of his pants.
His hands slipped under the neckline of your dress, tugging the top down with the sort of confidence that didn’t match his frantic breathing or the way his hips were stuttering into yours.
You pulled back from the crook of his neck, only because now it was his turn.
Aaron’s eyes dropped, and for a moment, he just stared like he couldn’t decide where to put his hands. Then he leaned in, mouth closing around your nipple, lips warm, tongue flicking once, then again, until you gasped and arched into him.
You were close. So close. Though truthfully, most of the build-up hadn’t been physical—it was all mental. The way he looked at you, like you were something delicate, something good. In the way he still hadn’t figured it out, even when you’d pranced past him with the tweezers and the mirror, settling beside him on the couch, legs draped up, spreading just enough to make sure he saw exactly what was on offer.
You could’ve asked. Told him exactly what you wanted and he would’ve done it in a heartbeat. You knew that. He loved to take care of you. He always had.
But where was the thrill in asking, when it was so much sweeter to watch him give in?
And you began to pick up on just that.
The way his breath caught against your nipple, the scrape of his teeth getting less careful.
The way his hands clutched tighter at every piece of skin he could reach. The way he started meeting your hips with his own. Slow at first, then harder, like this had been his idea to begin with.
You kept moving and so did he, the friction messy and desperate between you. His head dropped forward, breath stuttering out against your collarbone, his hands squeezing your waist.
Then his hips jerked up into yours, your name falling from his lips in a voice he almost never used. His body tensed one last time, and then you felt it—the heat flooding between you, a groan torn from his throat as he came.
Your greed had been satisfied.
And with one more roll of your hips—feeling his release spread beneath you, mixing with your own slickness—that was all it took to tip you over the edge. Your body locked down, fingers digging into his shoulders as your orgasm hit, splintering and all-consuming.
You didn’t move from him immediately, hands now toying with the collar of his polo as you caught your breath.
“Happy?” he mumbled against your skin, voice still rough around the edges.
You lifted your head, the curve of your smile slow and smug. “Very.”
You expected him to stay soft beneath you—to let you linger, revel in the mess you’d made of him.
But instead, his hands slid to your hips again, and before you could react, he was lifting you off his lap in one fluid motion, placing you down in his seat as he stood over you.
Your legs dangled off the edge, dress still bunched around your waist, thighs glistening with wetness. You pushed yourself up slightly, elbows braced behind you for balance, about to ask what he was doing, pausing just long enough to admire the wet patch on his jeans.
But your confusion melted into a shit-eating grin as you watched him lower himself to his knees in front of you. Though something told you that whatever he was about to do wouldn’t be for your sake, but for his.
And that control you were so desperate to keep?
It was practically nonexistent now—crumbling at a breathtaking pace, resting in the same hands that were sliding your soaked panties down your thighs.

BF!ATEEZ & THEIR FAVOURITE PLACE TO KISS | ATEEZ

pairing : : bf!ateez x gn!reader
genre : : fluff, romantic
warnings : : none except kissing ofc
author's note : : these are just my headcanons! they may differ from yours, so don't take them srsly <3 not a fan of this one meh 🤷🏻♀️

KIM HONG JOONG : : hands
He always finds your hands, no matter where you are — walking, talking, even when you're sitting across the table.
Before he kisses them, he looks at you like you're the most precious thing in the world.
He traces the lines of your palm with his thumb, memorizing them like a map.
When you're nervous, he presses a kiss to your knuckles without saying a word. It calms you instantly.
If you're holding something, he’ll gently take it from you just to kiss your hand.
Sometimes he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it — it’s second nature, like breathing.
loves holding your hand under the table and randomly pressing it to his lips like no one can see (they definitely can)
always kisses your hand first thing in the morning, bedhead and all, mumbling “good morning, my love”
During long studio nights, he’ll pull your hand to his mouth while still focused on the screen.
On dates, he kisses the back of your hand before you eat, like he’s in an old romantic movie.

PARK SEONG HWA : : forehead
Starts with a hand on the back of your head, thumb brushing your hairline before the kiss lands
His forehead kisses are warm, quiet — like a soft “I’m here” without saying it
Sneaks them in when you're mid-rant, like he’s pressing a calm spell to your thoughts
Sometimes acts like he’s measuring the temperature of your love by how many he gives — “one means I like you, five means I’m obsessed”
Presses his lips to your forehead before he leaves the house, like it’s part of his routine — keys, phone, wallet, you
If you're napping on the couch, expect a forehead kiss and a blanket. The man is efficient
Absolutely uses forehead kisses as an apology shortcut. It’s hard to stay annoyed when he’s that soft about it
During deep hugs, he tilts your head down just enough to reach, like he planned the choreography
Sometimes just rests his forehead against yours first, eyes closed — slow moments, no rush
A soft kiss on the forehead before drifting off to sleep

JEONG YUN HO : : cheeks
His kisses are quick, soft, and come out of nowhere — you laugh, and suddenly he’s kissing your cheek like it’s a reward
Does the “mwah” sound on purpose just to make you roll your eyes (he thinks it’s peak comedy)
Loves catching you off guard with a surprise cheek kiss while you’re focused — reading, cooking, brushing your teeth? target locked
If you’re sad or tired, he’ll hold your face in both hands and gently kiss one cheek, then the other, then the first again — like a mini-reset
Always grins right after the kiss, like your reaction is his favorite part
Sometimes leans in with that fake-serious look like he’s about to tell you a secret… then just kisses your cheek and walks away
Rests his head on your shoulder and gives lazy, barely-there cheek kisses when he’s sleepy
When you’re embarrassed, he’ll whisper “you’re cute” and kiss your cheek just to make it worse (or better?)
Lowkey gets pouty if you don’t return the cheek kiss — turns his face like “I’m waiting.”
On video calls, he’ll kiss the screen where your cheek would be

KANG YEO SANG : : neck
Not big on PDA, but neck kisses? That’s his loophole — quiet, low-key, but very effective
Usually starts with a hug from behind, chin on your shoulder… then boom, there it is — a featherlight kiss just below your ear
Loves kissing the curve where your neck meets your shoulder — his favorite “secret spot”
Acts all calm about it, but smirks every time he gets you flustered
Gives a neck kiss every time you wear something that shows just a little more skin, not even slick about it
If you're wearing something with a collar? He’s moving it gently out of the way
Once kissed your neck during a movie and completely derailed the plot (for both of you)
Mumbles things against your neck sometimes, voice low, like he’s trying to make you melt on purpose
If you tilt your head away to tease him, he’ll follow without missing a beat
Neck kisses are how he says “I missed you” without saying it

CHOI SAN : : corner of the mouth
Always kisses juuuust shy of your lips — the corner of your mouth — and then grins like he won a game you didn’t know you were playing
Never goes straight for your lips — always starts at the corner like he’s building suspense
Leans in slow like he’s about to go for a real kiss, then swerves last second — “what? That’s exactly where I meant to kiss”
Will kiss you there mid-laugh, right when you’re happiest, like he wants to be part of that moment
Turns it into a game: “missed?” he says with a smirk, “guess I’ll have to try again... and again...”
Sometimes rests his forehead against yours after, smiling, like that tiny kiss said everything he was thinking
When you’re annoyed with him, he plants a tiny kiss at the corner of your mouth and waits... smug... for you to cave
Sometimes does it mid-conversation, no warning — leaves you short-circuited while he keeps talking like nothing happened
Casually does it in public when no one’s looking, then walks off like he didn’t just make your heart skip
If you tease him and try to go in for a real kiss, he’ll dodge just to land one at the corner again — “patience, darling”

SONG MIN GI : : temple
Kisses your temple like it’s part of hugging you — an automatic move, like second nature
Always tilts his head a little when he does it, like he’s trying to kiss your thoughts
Always gentle, like he’s worried you might break if he’s too rough (you won’t, but it’s cute he thinks so)
Sometimes mumbles something soft right after, like “you’re doing so good” — low voice, close breath, heart-melting
If you’re cuddled up, he’ll brush your hair aside gently first, then press a slow kiss to your temple like it’s delicate
Sometimes kisses your temple while you’re distracted, like while brushing your teeth or scrolling
Accidentally started doing it during goodbyes — now it’s habit. No leaving without a temple kiss
When you’re talking and he’s listening closely, he’ll lean in and just kiss your temple like he couldn’t hold it in
Tries to act chill about it but absolutely peeks at your reaction every time
On days when you’re anxious, he’ll hold your head close and kiss your temple like it’s magic — like he believes it’ll fix everything

JUNG WOO YOUNG : : nose
Acts like nose kisses are no big deal but only gives them when he’s feeling extra soft
He kisses your nose fast and light, then backs up to see your reaction like he just pulled off a magic trick
Rubs his nose against yours first, then sneaks in the gentlest kiss like a surprise
Kisses the tip of your nose when you’re pouting — “stop being cute, it’s not fair”
Loves doing it when you least expect it — you’ll be mid-rant and suddenly, boop — nose kiss, rant over
Does it while you’re mid-sentence, catching you off guard on purpose — “what were you saying? Oh right, you love me” Smug mf
If you’re lying down together, he’ll roll over, nuzzle your face, and leave a tiny kiss right on your nose like he can’t help it
When you’re dressed up or looking especially good, he’ll lean in like he’s going for a real kiss… then hit you with a nose kiss instead and laugh
When you try to nose kiss him back, he melts and immediately threatens to kiss you everywhere out of revenge
Has a habit of holding your face in both hands when he does it, like it’s the most precious thing in the world

CHOI JONG HO : : shoulder
Always chooses your shoulder when he’s being affectionate in public — subtle, but deeply personal
Does it most when you're sitting beside him or resting together
If you’re stressed or anxious, he’ll gently lean in and press a kiss to your shoulder like it’ll absorb the weight
When you’re cuddling, he rests his chin there for a while... then kisses you once, calm and slow, like a thank-you
Likes doing it when you’re wearing something off-shoulder
If you're asleep against him, he’ll press the lightest kiss to your shoulder so he doesn’t wake you
Shoulder kisses are his comfort zone — he’s not trying to be flashy, he’s trying to be close
If you’re in a crowd or overwhelmed, he’ll lean in behind you and kiss your shoulder
Sometimes pulls your sleeve down a bit to kiss bare skin, then tucks it back like it’s a quiet secret
During long hugs, he always ends them with a kiss to your shoulder before letting go — every time

New York University led by troubling example when the school shared an updated code of student conduct last week. Ostensibly aimed at curtailing bigotry, the new language instead shuts down dissent by threatening to silence criticism of Zionism on campus. Students who speak out against Zionism — an ethno-nationalist political ideology founded in the late 19th century — will now risk violating the school’s nondiscrimination policies.[...]
Tucked into a document purportedly offering clarification on school policy, the new NYU guidelines introduce an unprecedented expansion of protected classes to include “Zionists” and “Zionism.” Referring to the university’s nondiscrimination and anti-harassment policy, known as NDAH, the updated conduct guide says, “Speech and conduct that would violate the NDAH if targeting Jewish or Israeli people can also violate the NDAH if directed toward Zionists.”[...]
“Using code words, like ‘Zionist,’” the guide says, “does not eliminate the possibility that your speech violates the NDAH policy.”[...]
The entire premise of the guidance — that “Zionist” must be functioning as a “code word — is a flaw egregious enough to reject the entire document outright.
The language here is of utmost importance. The text does not say that “Zionist” can and has been used by antisemites as a code word, which is no doubt true. Instead, it takes it as a given that, when used critically, “Zionist” simply is a code word.[...]
According to NYU’s guidance, then, Zionist and Zionism are either antisemitic dog whistles when invoked critically or a protected category akin to a race, ethnicity, or religious identity. Ethically committed and politically informed anti-Zionism — including the beliefs of many anti-Zionist Jews like myself who reject the conflation of our identity and heritage with an ethnostate project — is foreclosed, and the long history of Jewish anti-Zionism, which has existed as long as Zionism itself, is all but erased.[...]
“For many Jewish people, Zionism is a part of their Jewish identity,” the NYU guidance says. And this is of course true. That does not, however, make Zionism an essential part of Jewish identity.
There are conservative Christians for whom the damnation of homosexuality is a key part of their Christian faith too, but Republican lawfare to see homophobic positions enshrined as protected religious expression have been rightly and consistently condemned by the liberal mainstream.
“The new guidance sets a dangerous precedent by extending Title VI protections to anyone who adheres to Zionism, a nationalist political ideology, and troublingly equates criticism of Zionism with discrimination against Jewish people,” NYU’s Faculty for Justice in Palestine said in a statement in response to the updated conduct guide.[...]
“Furthermore, the new guidance implies that any nationalist political ideology (Hindu nationalism, Christian nationalism, etc.) that is integrated into some members of that group’s understanding of their own racial or ethnic identity should be entitled to civil rights protections.”

Simon Riley appreciates a healthy routine.
Neither Gaz nor Soap can quite tell what is stranger their Lieutenant declining to go for a pint after touching ground back on base or the sight of him furiously typing away on the cracked screen of his phone since they got some proper cell service.
They keep sitting in their respective seats on the plane, quietly observing Ghost and Captain Price for the past hours like they're some nearly extinct animals they shouldn't dare to startle; trying to gauge the latter's reaction, though that hint of a knowing smile barely hidden behind a coarse beard is only confusing them more.
It's as if Price has found the answer to a riddle that his Sergeants aren't even fully aware of.
Almost immediately, they lose sight of the sneaky Lieutenant as soon as the plane lands on the tarmac and once the tired soldiers receive permission to sign out for a long weekend after spending the last eight weeks deployed, travelling places no one else wants to go.
And of course, the lads think that Ghost has simply had enough of their bullshite, that the naturally aloof man is feeling too agitated and overwhelmed to linger, even though the mission was finished successfully. Perhaps he made arrangements with some working lady to get it out of his system (Soap's words, "Who else would the bloody geezer be textin' to, eh?"), or perhaps he's already being called in for a single op by Laswell.
They don't see the signs their Captain has picked up on a while ago when it comes to the closed-off Lieutenant.
The hushed phone conversations behind a closed office door, the more frequent rummaging for a phone that he usually didn't spare a glance at for hours on end, a spring in his step after suddenly spending more weekends off base, eating homemade biscuits from a Tupperware box that surely isn't his while doing his paperwork, pushing himself harder at the gym with a kind of natural energy that comes with higher testosterone levels, humming on his way back from a terrible training session with a squadron of rookies.
Yes, the signs are all quite obvious to a happily married man like John Price, because he remembers the honeymoon phase with his wife in the beginning of their relationship all too well.
Meanwhile, Simon manages the one hour long drive from base to your flat downtown in 37 minutes, and he takes the fact that he got caught speeding in stride. And what if he loses his driver's license? He's broken much worse laws in his lifetime than driving without legal documents.
The spare key to your home that you've gifted him with, feels heavier than all his tac gear combined as it rests in his jeans pocket heavy with meaning and responsibility, a reminder that he's found a new purpose in his life.
He sheds and leaves his gear and dirty fatigues in his truck, and he takes three steps at once as he rushes upstairs to your flat with single-minded focus, excitement and adrenaline equally coursing through his veins as if he's about to seize a hostile target by himself.
The familiar front door closes behind him with a soft click, and then he's greeted by peace and quiet.
Instead of finding fear or annoyance, Simon is met by raw happiness and adoration as he watches your eyes light up once you notice his presence all curled up and cozy on your couch.
"Hi!"
His socked feet make no noise as he approaches you over the carpeted floor.
"I didn't expect you for another hour," you tell him, even though he very well remembers what time he'd told you he'd arrive, though he had added two hours to that time frame just so he wouldn't disappoint you if he didn't make it.
"Your dinner is ah!"
Simon picks you up with practiced ease, and your little shriek of surprise dissolves in a fit of melodic giggles. Bulky arms wrap around your body and cradle you to his chest bridal style as he carries you towards the bedroom with simmering urgency.
The words he mumbles as explanation come out gruff and harsh, oafish even, but you can't help and feel utterly smitten by them: "Bed. Now."
You're dropped onto the mattress without warning, and the way you laugh again makes Simon's chest hurt with how hard his bloody heart flutters.
And then you're already reaching out for him right when he joins you, mattress dipping beneath his added weight as he drapes himself over the full length of your body; slotting his meaty thigh between your legs until he can lay down more comfortably on top of you like a weighted blanket.
"Can you rub my shoulders? Please?"
His voice is muffled as he nuzzles his flushed face in the crook of your neck. Sometimes, it still feels forbidden to ask for something so mundane from the person he would die for.
"Yeah, sure. Can I take off your mask?"
You can carve out his heart with a butter knife if you'd like, but he chooses to keep that to himself for now while the fact that you're asking for his consent again makes his head feel fuzzy and his arms tighten around your warm, welcoming frame reflexively.
Simon nods. "Aye, take it off f'me."
The cloth is gently removed when he manages to lift his head up before letting it drop back into the crook of your neck, and then your fingers card through his short, disheveled strands of dirty blonde hair; blunt nails scratching lightly at his skull until a full-body shudder runs along his spine.
It's heavenly.
It's more than he ever wanted and everything he never even dared to wish for.
It's a routine he's managed to build up with you from scratch.
Strangers to lovers, and he will never let you go now that he's sunken his sharpened claws into your willing flesh.
Yet he is but a tamed kitten in your tender embrace. Just a man enjoying and craving the simplest and purest form of affection right in this moment, stripped bare from his demons as you keep them off his back with your sheer, golden presence.
"You're safe now, Si. I missed you so much, baby," you coo into his ear, and his brain fills with cotton while he noses along your pulse point, breathing in your calming scent.
Then he feels the gentle press of your lips against his temple while your warm palms stroke and rub along his back, and he melts into a vulnerable puddle, exhausted eyes finally fluttering shut.
"Missed ya, too, pet," he murmurs gruffly, chapped lips brushing over your sensitive skin. "M'not gonna move f'a while, yeah?"
And Simon barely registers your answer when he's already drifting off into a dreamless slumber, allowing himself to cling to your body like a needy child while soaking up the warmth and comfort you're giving him oh so willingly.
He's home.

Whispered in Russian
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
Summary: Natasha teaches you how to speak some Russian during your time together on a mission.
A/n: this was inspired from a request. Not sure if it was what you expected but I hope you'll still enjoy it.
Warnings: fluff, suggestive themes, cursing, Russian translations from google (because I unfortunately do not know the language)
Words: 3250
“Bron' dlya Nataliyi Romanovoy.”
Natasha’s Russian accent flows effortlessly, her voice smooth and confident as she speaks to the front desk receptionist. Her tone carries the ease of someone completely at home in the language.
It’s a voice you’ve grown intimately familiar with—not just as her teammate for years but also as her partner.
Which also makes it easier to pick up and piece together some of the words, though you’re still far from being fluent.
Reservation for Natalia Romanova, you translate silently.
The receptionist offers a polite smile, tapping away at her computer until she finds the reservation. With a nod, she retrieves a key card and slides it across the counter to Natasha.
“Dobro pozhalovat, gospazha Romanova. Vot vashi klyuchi ot nomera.”
You listen intently, trying to match the sounds to meaning, but the words come faster than you can process. Your grasp falters after the first few phrases.
Welcome…Romanova…key
You almost have it, but the rest slips through your mental filter, lost in the quick flow of syllables. Before you can catch up, the receptionist continues in a kind but rapid tone.
“Esli vam ili vashey zhene potrebuyetsya pomoshch, pozvonite na resepshn, i my s radostyu vam pomozhem.”
At that, Natasha’s lips quirk up in a small, amused smirk. The expression is subtle but unmistakable, and it draws your curiosity.
You glance at her, silently asking what amused her, but she offers no explanation, only thanking the receptionist with a graceful nod as she takes the key card.
“Spasibo,” Natasha says, her voice as composed as ever.
Thank you.
That part you recognize immediately, the basic phrase standing out like a familiar face in a crowd.
Natasha’s hand finds your waist as she guides you away from the desk, her touch grounding and affectionate.
Still, your mind lingers curiously on the exchange.
Once inside the room, you dive into setting up your equipment for the mission, carefully pulling out the listening gear from your bag.
Meanwhile, Natasha checks the room methodically, her eyes scanning for anything amiss. She ends her sweep at the window, drawing back the shutters slightly to observe the building across the street—the one where the targets work at.
“What did the receptionist say to you at the end?” you ask, your curiosity finally spilling over as you adjust the calibration on the gear.
Natasha glances over her shoulder at you, a glint of amusement in her eyes. She takes her time responding, watching as you work with meticulous focus.
“She said if we needed anything, we could call the front desk,” Natasha replies casually, her tone almost too neutral.
You pause, narrowing your eyes as you turn to face her.
“That’s it?” you ask, skepticism lacing your voice. “Then why did you react like that?”
The smirk you’d noticed earlier reappears, tugging at the corners of her lips. Natasha steps closer to you, wrapping her arms around your waist and leaning in.
“Zhena,” she repeats slowly, enunciating the word with deliberate care. Her breath is warm against your skin as she presses a quick, affectionate kiss to your cheek. “It means ‘wife.’ She called you my wife.”
“Oh,” you reply, your heart fluttering at the thought.
You fall silent for a moment, processing, before quietly repeating the word under your breath.
“Zhena,” you murmur, practicing the pronunciation like a secret you want to keep safe. You say it again, slightly louder, trying to mimic Natasha’s intonation.
Natasha’s expression softens as she watches your reaction, her smirk giving way to a small, genuine smile.
Once satisfied with your attempt, you nod firmly, confidence growing.
Your gaze shifts to the small table in the corner of the room, and something catches your eye. You gesture toward it, brow raised.
“Well,” you say, “that explains the bottle of champagne.”
Natasha follows your gaze, her chuckle warm and rich as she spots the chilled, unopened bottle perched beside two crystal glasses.
“Hill said this was the only room available,” she replies, her fingers tracing soft patterns at your sides. Her voice drops slightly, the edge of a smirk returning to her lips. “Guess that means we’re playing newlyweds.”
You wrap your arms around her shoulders, leaning against her as you ponder the situation.
“Alright,” you nod thoughtfully, “and it won’t look suspicious if we don’t leave our room much since, technically, we’re on our honeymoon.”
Natasha’s smirk deepens, her eyes glinting with mischief. She tilts her head closer, her lips brushing lightly against yours.
“Oh, that sounds fun,” she murmurs, her tone dropping into a suggestive lilt.
You roll your eyes, though the small smile tugging at your lips betrays your amusement.
“I meant it’s a good cover for our mission,” you say pointedly, pulling back just enough to regain your composure. You gesture toward the gear on the table before raising a brow at her. “Or did you already forget the reason why we’re here in the first place?”
Natasha doesn’t answer immediately.
Instead, her smirk shifts into something a little more daring as she tightens her hold on your waist before pulling you flush against her. Her lips ghost over yours again as she leans in, just close enough for her voice to drop to a whisper.
“I’m multitasking,” she teases, the husky tone sending a shiver down your spine before she closes the small distance between you two.
~~~~~~~ ⧗ ~~~~~~~
Some time later, after you two manage to refocus on the mission, you settle in to monitor the listening equipment.
The two of you wait patiently, earpieces in place, scanning for the key information you need.
But after a few hours of static-filled recordings, indistinct conversations, and absolutely nothing useful, Natasha notices your shoulders beginning to tense with exhaustion.
She rests a hand on your arm.
“Take a break,” she offers softly. “I’ll keep watch for now.”
You hesitate, but the encouraging smile on her lips convinces you.
“Alright,” you relent, stretching out your stiff shoulders before heading to the bathroom for a quick shower.
Once inside, the hot water works wonders, the steam easing the tension in your muscles.
You feel the stress of the mission starts to melt away, but as you finish, you realize you’ve made a small mistake.
You forgot to grab your change of clothes for the night.
With a sigh, you wrap the towel around yourself, water still clinging to your skin, and step out of the bathroom.
The cool air sends a shiver through you as you pad quietly toward your bag.
Natasha’s back is to you as she speaks on the hotel phone.
Her voice flows smoothly in Russian, soft but clear, and you catch a few familiar words—borscht, pelmeni, blini—dishes you’ve heard her name before.
As you rummage through your belongings, it hits you: she’s ordering dinner. You smile to yourself, amused by the domesticity of the moment, even in the middle of a mission.
Not wanting to take any longer, you quickly grab what you need, tossing your bag back in its original position as you hear Natasha finish up.
“Da, prosto ostav’te—blyat…”
The abrupt edge in Natasha’s voice pulls your attention, her sudden exclamation making you look up in curiosity.
Her words have stopped mid-sentence, her lips parted slightly as her eyes roam over you. Her gaze lingers on the droplets of water still glistening on your skin, the curve of your shoulders, and the towel that clings just a little too loosely to your body.
It takes her a moment to catch herself. Natasha clears her throat, her voice steadier as she quickly finishes her conversation.
“Prostite,” she mutters into the phone. “Ostav’te yedu u dveri. Spasibo.”
You pause where you stand as you attempt to piece together what she just said. Your limited Russian skills manage to translate fragments: leave…food…door.
It’s enough to guess that she told them to leave your dinners outside the room so they won’t come in and see all your equipment set up.
But you also notice that there’s one word missing from the sentence—the one she exclaimed earlier.
It lingers in your mind, unaccounted for, and you try remembering how Natasha said it.
“Blyat…” you repeat, testing the word carefully, sounding it out until you nod in satisfaction, confident you’ve got it.
A low groan comes from Natasha, prompting you to look back at her. Her eyes are noticeably darker now.
“Bozhe moy…” Natasha mutters under her breath, shaking her head lightly in exasperation.
Your brow quirks in amusement at her tone, a small smile tugging at your lips. “What does it mean?”
“It’s a curse word—just something someone would say when they’re surprised or frustrated,” Natasha says stiffly, her voice a little strained, though she manages to seem mostly composed.
Her eyes eventually betray her, though, drifting back to the droplets of water sliding down your skin.
“So what’s the translation?” you press, crossing your arms at her vague response. The motion inadvertently shifts the towel, loosening it further.
Natasha’s jaw tightens. Her gaze flickers to the towel, and she exhales sharply through her nose, her control clearly fraying.
Even though she looks like she’s about to close the distance between you, it’s clear she won’t answer your question, which makes your expression fall lightly into a mock disappointed pout.
“You said you’d help me improve my Russian during this mission,” you remind her, your tone innocently light as you step closer to stand in front of her.
The memory of her promise lingers in your mind—how she’d caught you practicing in secret and insisted you ask her for help whenever you needed it.
Her lips twist in hesitation, probably also remembering her promise, and for a moment, it seems like she might resist.
But then she relents with a sigh.
“It’s basically like saying ‘fuck,’” Natasha explains, her voice low and even. She fixes you with a pointed look, her gaze burning as she adds, “As in, you surprised me, standing half-naked in the middle of the room like this.”
A laugh escapes you, though your cheeks warm at the intensity of her gaze. You move to hover a hand above her chest, tracing a finger lightly against the edge of her tank top.
“Were you surprised…or frustrated?” you ask, your tone full of mischief.
Natasha shoots you a warning look, one that says you already know the answer.
“I don’t think learning Russian curse words was part of your original goal here,” she counters, her voice tight.
“Who says I haven’t learned some phrases already?” you reply with a playful shrug.
Her eyebrows lift, intrigued. “Like what?”
You shake your head, refusing to elaborate. “I’m still practicing my pronunciation.”
Natasha smirks, leaning closer. “I can help.”
The listening equipment chooses that moment to beep suddenly, interrupting your conversation, as it signals incoming noises.
“Too bad we’re still on the clock,” you quip with a teasing smile.
Natasha’s attention flickers reluctantly to the gear, her expression briefly clouded with disappointment.
You take the opportunity to head back to the bathroom and finish up.
As you go, a smirk tugs at your lips, the Russian phrase you’ve been practicing simmering in your mind.
Just as you step through the doorway, you hum thoughtfully, your voice low and deliberate as you mutter under your breath—just loud enough for Natasha to hear.
“How did it go again...trak-hni…menya…trakhni menya…”
You don’t need to turn around to know the effect your words have. Natasha’s sharp intake of breath is unmistakable, and your smirk widens in satisfaction.
Behind you, Natasha freezes, her lips parting slightly, her entire body going still as she processes what you just said. The weight of your casual tone and the boldness of your phrasing leave her momentarily stunned.
By the time she regains her composure, you’ve already disappeared into the bathroom, the door closing with a soft click.
A low, disbelieving chuckle escapes her after a moment, followed by a quiet grumble as she mutters to herself, “Of all the times to be on a mission…”
Natasha shakes her head and exhales, grabbing the earpiece with a resigned sigh.
Sliding it back on, she tries to focus on the task at hand, her eyes scanning the equipment as if sheer willpower could drown out her thoughts.
But her gaze betrays her, drifting back toward the bathroom door.
It lingers there, her resolve wavering as the temptation to follow you creeps in, tugging at her self-control.
Her mind conjures an image of you inside—water still clinging to your skin and your voice low and teasing as you repeat the Russian phrase for “fuck me” over and over again.
The imagination is enough to make her swallow hard, her grip tightening on the table’s edge.
With a sharp, frustrated exhale, Natasha forces her attention back to the mission, her eyes narrowing as if determination alone could block the distractions.
And she does succeed in regaining her composure eventually, though, every now and again, your voice echoes in her mind—soft, playful, and full of mischief.
Each syllable you murmured is as clear as if you were still standing there, taunting her with that dangerous smirk.
The corners of her lips twitch despite herself.
You’ve always told her how much you love hearing her speak in Russian—how the sound of it stirs something in you.
Natasha had always found your words amusing, but hearing you just now, with your hesitant yet deliberate tone, she’s beginning to understand exactly what you meant.
~~~~~~~ ⧗ ~~~~~~~
After dinner, Natasha takes it upon herself to continue monitoring the listening gear, insisting that you rest up first after the long trip here and the exhausting setup.
Her tone left little room for argument, so you relented, knowing how stubborn she could be about these things and the fact that she is more than capable of staying concentrated on the task for longer than you can.
Hours pass, the rhythmic static and indistinct chatter from the equipment blending into the quiet of the room.
Natasha barely notices how late it’s gotten until she feels your arms wrap gently around her shoulders from behind.
You lean in close, your warm breath brushing against the side of her head as you carefully remove her earpieces.
“Poydem so mnoy spat’,” you whisper softly.
Natasha’s lips curve into a small, pleased smile at your perfect pronunciation. Turning to face you, she raises a brow, her expression amused.
“Did you learn that specifically for moments like this?” she teases.
You smirk back at her.
“With how often you lose yourself in work, I figured learning how to call you to bed should be one of the first things I perfect.”
Natasha shakes her head fondly, a quiet laugh escaping her lips.
“Of course you would,” she murmurs, but there’s no mistaking the affection in her voice.
Obliging you, she removes the rest of the gear and allows you to pull her gently from the chair toward the large bed.
As she moves, her gaze flickers to the nightstand, catching sight of your tablet screen. The familiar display of the language-learning app you’ve been using to practice Russian glows faintly in the dim light.
Settling in beside her, you lie back against the pillows while Natasha props herself up on one elbow, her head resting on her hand. Her green eyes glimmer with a soft light as she looks at you, a small smile playing on her lips.
“You know,” she says, tilting her head slightly, “I’m sure I can teach you Russian better than that app.”
Her comment makes you laugh lightly.
“I know, but our free time doesn’t always line up for me to get a lesson from Ms. Romanoff,” you tease, smirking.
“It’s Mrs.,” Natasha corrects, her playful smirk matching yours. “Don’t forget, we’re technically married right now.”
You smile, your gaze softening as you look at her.
“Right. How could I forget that you’re my ‘zhena?’”
The word slips out in a playful, teasing tone, but it has an unexpected effect.
Natasha’s heart flutters so much at hearing you call her your wife in Russian that she has to look away for a moment to regain her composure.
Her expression is tender when she looks back at you, her other arm moving around your midsection and pulling you closer.
“I have time now,” she offers, her voice low. “Anything you want to learn?”
You hum thoughtfully, tapping your chin as you consider.
“Alright, how do you say…‘you look beautiful?’”
Natasha’s smile widens slightly.
“Ty vyglyadish’ prekrasno,” she replies smoothly.
You repeat the phrase under your breath, scrunching your face slightly in concentration as you practice. Once you’re confident enough, you turn to her with a gentle smile.
“Ty vy-glya-dish’ prekrasno,” you say, your pronunciation close but not perfect.
Natasha chuckles softly in amusement when she realizes you just wanted to say the phrase back to her.
“Are you trying to make me fall for you even more by complimenting me in Russian?”
You smirk playfully. “Depends. Is it working?”
Huffing lightly, Natasha rolls her eyes, though there’s a clear fondness in her exasperation. She looks away briefly, but you catch her cheek gently, turning her gaze back to yours.
“How do you say…‘I love you?’” you ask softly, your voice tinged with both curiosity and affection.
Natasha’s expression softens further, her features open and vulnerable as she answers.
“Ya tebya lyublyu,” she says, enunciating each syllable carefully for you.
“Ya tebya lyu…blyu,” you repeat slowly, trying to mimic how her lips move, but the last syllable doesn’t quite land how it should.
Natasha chuckles lightly, her hand moving to cup your chin.
“When you say ‘lyublyu,’” she explains gently, “you have to purse your lips more.”
You try again, adjusting your pronunciation, and then glance at her for confirmation.
“Like that?” you ask innocently, unaware that you had said it perfectly, making Natasha’s heart beat a little faster at the sound of your voice saying those words to her in her native language.
“Say it again,” Natasha murmurs, her voice soft.
Focusing intently, you follow her previous instructions.
“Ya tebya lyublyu.”
Just as you say the last sound, Natasha leans in suddenly, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
Your smile grows against her mouth as realization dawns that she made you repeat it for her benefit.
“Mmm, you’re teasing me when you're supposed to be teaching me,” you murmur lightly in reprimand.
Natasha pulls back slightly, her green eyes glinting with playful mischief.
“Maybe I just love the way you say it,” she counters, her tone low and warm.
You huff lightly, rolling your eyes in mock exasperation before scooting closer.
Natasha relaxes fully into the bed, letting you rest your head on her shoulder and tuck your face into the curve of her neck. Her arms wrap around you, holding you in a soft embrace.
After a moment of comfortable silence, Natasha’s voice breaks through, gentle and curious.
“What made you decide to learn Russian?”
There’s a brief pause as you consider her question, and then you tilt your head to look up at her, your eyes filled with affection.
“Russian is a part of who you are, Natasha,” you say earnestly. “Where you came from. To learn another way to connect with you…” You trail off, your soft smile widening. “Who wouldn’t want to do that?”
Natasha’s heart swells at your words, and for a moment, all she can do is hold you closer, her fingers brushing lightly over your back.
“Ya tebya lyublyu,” she whispers, her voice barely audible but still filled with the depth of her feelings for you.
You settle back against her, smiling into her shoulder, your voice gentle as you reply.
“Ya tebya lyublyu, too.”
