I’m sorry if this has already been asked but i wanted to know for research purposes what does the half forms look like for all the different demonic forms?

I'll talk not only about the half-forms, but also about the abilities the Oracle can use outside of their full form.

Demoneater: can turn their hands and/or legs into large paws with sharp claws, grow fangs, and open a third eye. They also can light up all their eyes and use them like flashlights, lol!

Swarm: no half-form, which balances their powerful abilities in the full form.

Puppeteer: no half-form, but they can immobilize (or attempt to do so) with their gaze and make a heart ache (possible causing such severe pain to the victim that they can do nothing but writhe on the ground).

Spider: can turn parts of their skin into steel, grow out additional spider limbs and move quickly with them, grow fangs and poison with a bite.

Satrix: can turns parts of their skin into scales, grow out a tail with poisonous spikes, and breathe under water.

Monster: can grow out large bat wings and fly and turn their hands into big clawed monstrosities.

A little lore about languages and a little sketch

This is not an entirely original solution to the language barrier. I took the idea of an Allspeak(?) from Marvel and shoved it into the Irminsul. Why does it also work out of Teyvat? Well, it's for me to know and you to find out))

Izuku and his friends + a few other 1A students decided to drop by one of the TA students' lessons. Mr. Albedo kindly agreed. The man was lecturing as usual when…

Ochako: um… Mr. Albedo, what language do you write in?

Albedo: Hmm? *looks from the blackboard to the students* Oh, my apologies. This is the Teyvat-written, a language designed specifically for all Teyvat peoples to understand. If you focus a little bit, you can understand it too. Try. *The teacher's eyes sparkle with research interest*

Momo: I am… I can really understand what's written there now?!

Izuku: That's amazing! How does it work? Is this some kind of quirk?

Hu Tao under her breath: Yeah, a quirk.

Albedo: Teyvat-written and Teyvat-spoken were created by the Goddess of Wisdom herself at the end of the Archons War and inscribed in the Irminsul. Thanks to this, any written or spoken word can be translated and understood by another intelligent being, even if they themselves do not know Teyvat language. This is convenient, but not ideal, so it is recommended to use your native language rather than Teyvat for any cultural and official matters.

Tsuyu: Do you have more than one language, kero? I hadn't thought about it before.

Mualani: Of course there is! Modern languages for each region, their ancient versions, different dialects, languages of other species, and extinct ones!

Collei: Madame Faruzan likes to say that the laziness of young people kills Darshan Haravatat, and Teyvat-ish makes it meaningless. It makes her very angry.

UA: (Darshan Haravatat?)

Ayaka: *thoughtfully* I've heard that you need to learn 20 languages to get there.

UA: HOW MUCH?!

Collei: *embarrassed* Actually, that's not the case anymore.

Ayaka: Doesn't Mr. Alhaitham know 20 languages?

Collei: 23. And, as Master told me, he just took the joke seriously.

UA: (Why the hell are they forced to learn so many languages??!)

Minato drains his Cylon Tea in two long gulps– the only reason it isn’t in just one is because he has to pause midway through to breathe. All of the night’s excitement had temporarily driven him to forget why he had gotten out of bed in the first place, but the barest reminder of the concept of thirst had resurrected his own with a dry, stinging vengeance.

Aragaki must have worked one up, too. He doesn’t drink quite as desperately as Minato had, but they’ve made it barely a block away from the vending machine before he’s finished the Mad Bull.

They walk in companionable silence for another block or so, fiddling with their empty cans. Minato watches Aragaki work the pop-tab back and forth until the aluminum gives out and the tab breaks free with a quiet ping. The can gets pitched into a bin on the sidewalk as they pass– Minato should have tossed his too, but it’s behind them now– but Aragaki holds onto the tab.

He finally catches Minato looking at him and frowns.

Minato gestures towards Aragaki’s hand and tilts his head, knowing he’ll be understood well enough without words. Aragaki blinks and looks down at the tab in his palm as though he’s a little surprised to see it there.

It’s a cute mental image, but there’s one thing that gives Minato pause–

Aragaki had though, hadn’t he? Back when he had still been in the hospital, near the end of his stay, he had started to bring up something about ‘your sister’ to Sanada. Minato had missed it in the moment, and then he’d blocked most of that conversation– and the accompanying sense of being an intrusion in a dynamic that he shouldn’t have been witness to– from his memory.

Aragaki winces like he’s been caught saying something he shouldn’t.

Minato can only nod in response. Aragaki studies his face; Minato has no idea what he finds there.

Minato nods again.

Yeah. Yeah, he does.

They lapse into silence again, melancholy this time. Minato plucks lightly at the tab with his fingernail a few times and then, inspired, starts to wiggle it to and fro like Aragaki had. When it finally pops free he holds it out towards Aragaki, who stops dead in his tracks and blinks at it.

Aragaki takes the offered soda tab and drops his own into Minato’s outstretched palm in kind.

Nothing more is said until they’re climbing the cement steps to the dorm’s front door.

Minato swears he will with all the solemnity of a man taking a blood oath, and then together he and Aragaki slip quietly back inside.

Kzinti and Star Trek

You don't see many Kzinti in Star Trek, and there's a very good reason for that: They're not actually Star Trek aliens, but a borrow from Larry Niven's Known Space series of books. And so Paramount don't actually own them. "The Slaver Weapon" episode of The Animated Series is an adaptation of Larry's "The Soft Weapon"

TAS' "Slaver Weapon" brought lots of Known Space lore into Trek. 4 Man-Kzin Wars were fought prior to the invention of faster-than-light travel, which really doesn't work in Trek where First Contact established, well, first contact and it was between humans and Vulcans after the first warp flight.

We also saw a Slaver, which have a rich backstory in Known Space where they're known as the Thrint and once ruled over the galaxy with their telepathy.

Some of Niven's backstory fits into Trek but other parts don't.

The Man-Kzin Wars don't. That being said, there have been attempts to bring Kzin back into Trek and several references to them. The Next Gen novel "The Captain's Honor" features the M'dok in the B-plot, a feline species who fought 2 wars with humanity one before the founding of the Federation and one after... sound vaguely familiar? They were originally the Kzin, and had name and details changed to avoid potential legal issues.

The Kzin exist in the Star Fleet Battles tabletop gaming universe (which is like a Trek splinter universe, licensed from TOS, TAS and the Star Fleet Technical Manual but nothing else), but they lack the distinctive bat ears.

Starfleet Command, the videogame adaptation of Star Fleet Battles swaps the Kzinti for the Mirak, again to avoid copyright issues.

But then came Star Trek Picard, where in season one Riker talks about an issue with the Kzinti (apparently permission was sought from Larry Niven and given for the mention) and then Lower Decks gave us Taylor, who is clearly Kzinti but likely will just never have anyone say it out loud just to be on the safe side

Oh, and the 1980 Star Trek Maps were cheeky and called them the K'zinti and hoped the apostrophe would make everything okay.

There have been attempts to bring the Kzinti back to Trek, like a planned Enterprise season 5 episode called "Kilkenny Cats" which was almost resurrected as a New Voyages fan film project. Here's the poster, where they'd replaced the Kzinti with the Kytharri (another Kzin-expy from the DS9 "Prophecy and Change" anthology

The "Kilkenny Cats" story read somewhat like a retread of DS9's "Armageddon Game". There were also attempts to get an animated Star Trek movie made called Lions of the Night, involving Sulu and the Enterprise-B dealing with a Kzinti invasion.

Oh oh, and read Ringworld. It's fantastic. And makes one wonder what the Kzin world is like in the Trek world... because they're unable to stop themselves launching violent wars on neighbours which they have no hope of winning, their world is essentially occupied by humans and that's very un-Trek (which of course makes it 10x more fascinating) indeed. How would Starfleet and the Federation deal with such a threat?

How would the RO's react if the Oracle is very kind-hearted and calm most of the time, but once they turn into a demoneater, they become completely different?

They all would be very, very worried about your mind stability.

Demons don't turn into their full demonic forms all the time because they're more susceptible to the abyssal influence in them (I'll explore it more in the story eventually), which means if something goes wrong, it's easier for them to lose their mind stability / go mad.

So the Oracle who shows more aggression in their full form than in their stable form is a sure sign that something is going wrong with them and they need help asap. (Either that, or they're just generally unstable and need to avoid turning into their full form.) How the cast goes about it fully depends on how the Oracle reacts and what is troubling them.

But if acting like this was a conscious decision on the Oracle's part, then:

Vez might want you to tone it down in some situations, but if it doesn't put either of you at a disadvantage immediately or later (due to criticism, for example), then they're fine with it. Go off. They're not exactly kind and patient in their dragon form either, lol...

Os might be amused by this, but they love you and your duality, so go off. They would tease you about it later, though, and might even try to bring out your feisty side for fun.

Laz also would be amused. They're not someone who would tell you how to act, but they might comment on it because they do love pissing others off making others think how they're viewed by strangers / what reactions would their behavior trigger, etc. (Like they did with Os in the training scene in chapter 5.)

Ash might be a bit frightened. First and foremost due to their worries about your mind stability. But otherwise, they're not a fan of loud noises & aggressiveness, so they might feel uncomfortable near you if you behave like this with them around.

Az would think it was hot, lol! They might try to bring that energy out of you in other situations, when you're out of your full form, because they love to be put in their place. (But I didn't tell you that.) Overall, they'd cheer on you with hearteyes 😍, though they would keep to the side.

Teyvat Academy AU || Lore Part 1 || REACTION

It's unfair that I have a Russian-speaking group, but no English-speaking group dedicated to my AU. I've been thinking for a long time about where to get it, so let's try it here) And, of course, first of all, the main details of the Teyvat Academy AU, which I post under each video (at the moment) with minor additions + link to the main playlist: (Part 2)

Teyvat has been cut off from the rest of the Earth for a long time, there was almost no information about it, except that there are many quirkless people there and they believe in some gods. //this implies an island with an Academy more than the world of Teyvat, almost no one has even heard of it.

Teyvat Academy is an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by a storm wall that protects both from natural conditions and from espionage. On the island itself there is an official Academy building and various training grounds, seven dormitories (by regions) and several small towns that help maintain the island's infrastructure, various scientists study the Earth, and spies monitor the outside world.

TA conducts not only Hero courses starting from high school (after 9th grade, that is, from the age of 15-16), but also additionally provides an opportunity to get an education in many civilian professions. Every owner of the Visions is required to take a course on controlling their elementary abilities.

TA teaches students how to handle weapons, hand-to-hand combat, element theory, how to introduce themselves in different situations, and the like. Already in the first year, novice heroes are sent to practice at the Adventure Guild in Teyvat. //archers are required to be trained in the use of firearms, for others it's optional

After graduation, students can be Heroes in Teyvat, or go out into the outside world (in this case, they will be provided with support from other well-known Teyvat Agencies)

The Teyvat school became official about 100 years before the canon, and began to make semi-official contact with attempts to establish relations 40 years before the beginning of the MHA canon (at the dawn of the Allmight?)

The opinion of the world about the Teyvat Academy and the owners of the Visions is extremely negative. Causeless people are considered underdeveloped, since people with quirks are the "next stage of human evolution", stronger, fitter. People with the Visions are cheaters, and the Academy sends these poor, brainwashed people to their deaths. In fact, Teyvat in the eyes of the public is an organized cult that brainwashes unreasonable people. //in fact, this is the most popular trope in such AU and everyone just comes up with how to explain its origins.

From time to time, she conducts heroic operations in the outside world, if the threat has been recognized and evaluated by one of the agents. //I have a couple of stories and probably there will be more in the future, you just have to wait)
