Best Use for Duct Tape: Having once been duct-taped to a wall (long story) I cannot stress enough that I do not recommend this for anything that touching skin, so I'm going to go ahead and say the best use is for taping ducts. Why mess with perfection?

Favourite Tea and Biscuits: English breakfast (unless I'm allowed to get fancy, in which case, a London Eye, which is a London Fog with a shot of espresso) and millionaire's shortbread.

Best Late-Night Takeaway: Carne asada tacos (for omnivores) or drunken noodles with tofu (for vegetarians). Mmm!

This year, we are robbed of team days, a shame because we had so much fun watching you frantically trying to solve our codes. 

But you know what.

We are villains. We do what we want.

We have kidnapped one member of each team. And to get them back, each team would have to complete a task to retrieve their valued member.

@teamdoubleoh​: We have kidnapped @prismatic-bell​. And the task is to write a fic about how one of the members of Mi6 is actually a mole. Fic must be 500-700 words.

@teamqbranch​: We have kidnapped @kitten-kin . And the task is to make a photo-manip or art of how one of Q-branch’s inventions will end the world. 

@teamcivilian​: We have kidnapped @00qsillyfanturtle​. And your task is to create a list of food and drinks for an “end of the world” party. Minimum, 5 food/drinks; recipe is not required but preferred.

The above tasks must be completed before EST 00:00, 21st July, or, well, who knows what will happen to your dear members. Tag us when you post it, or else we will pretend that we didn’t see it and never let your precious members go.

  Prompt Fill: Q meets Bond on a mission to run some equipment, and while in Bond's hotel room someone knocks on the door and Bond hurriedly shoves Q into a hiding spot.

Headcanon — If you can't beat ‘em, bribe ‘em

James Bond has 534 tried and true methods for extricating Q from his Branch.

But when the full-on smoulder goes unsnarked, the ear nibble with scruff nets him a distracted swat, the perfect cup of tea placed precisely within reach merits not even a deep inhale, let alone a sip, let it never be said that James Bond won't call in reinforcements when the straits are truly dire.

He just bribes Q’s cats to doze on Q’s keyboard and then he pulls out his never fail tricks.

He throws Q over his shoulder and launches himself through the door, so R can lockdown Q’s office. (Don't worry, the cats have special doors. Can you imagine cats redesigning pneumatic tube delivery systems though.)

((James is much too smugly pleased with himself to notice his Boffin’s smirk and jaunty wave to his Branch from his elevated sprawl.))

And then James spends the rest of the night making it up to Q.
