So this is is as good as it’s gonna get. ⁣ ⁣ Still walking. Back and tailbone pain are persistent. Leg feels better but I’ve tried running and it kills my back. Been walking at least a mile a day since I got hurt. The streak lives on. I’ve lost count of the days. August will definitely not be a 100 mile month. I’m bummed but happy to still be moving. ⁣ ⁣ I’m hoping to make some big changes for September once my insurance kicks in. I’ll finally be able to see doctors for all my issues. Disneyland celebrated their 65th anniversary this week. So of course our #TEAMSPARKLEVIRTUALRUN this week is Disney themed. I don’t lack Disney fashion as you can tell. 😉 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So happy I was able to go to Disneyland for the first time ever last year before all this craziness started. I really hope I can take the kids some day. 🏰 ⁣ ⁣⁣ Today is day 110 of my streak. Today was also my first outdoor workout in since July 6th... why? Because Covid. That’s why. I was exposed and had to go get tested. 9 days of anxious waiting later, results came back negative. Still, this ordeal messed with my head and I didn’t want to leave my house. Talking myself in to doing something I don’t want to do is exhausting! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Today’s weather was better than yesterday. It was hot AF though then it started raining. Now, the sun is out and the floor is lava. 🥵 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4 slow miles. Guys, I’m scared. That sucked. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Everything that could go wrong did. I woke up late and with a stiff back. I got out there and it was 86 degrees with a feel like temperature of 97 and 76% humidity. After 2 miles, my back was on fire along with my calves. Hi. It’s me. It’s been a minute since my last post. Not sure what to post these days. ⁣ ⁣ I just wanted to pop in and say:⁣ ⁣ It’s OK to not be OK. ⁣ ⁣ I am not OK and haven’t been Ok for a while. ⁣ ⁣ I am working on getting my mental health back on track. Working on building my miles up again. I am working on me. I am also figuring out how to continue spreading awareness about the injustices happening in our country to our Black friends and family. I’m still listening. I’m still learning. Still working on doing my part. ⁣ ⁣ Today is day 75 of my streak and I got in a slow 5.5 miles. It’s been a struggle to keep it up but I’m keeping up. Even if I have to do laps around my living room, that’s what’s gonna happen. Hello June! ⁣ ⁣ If May taught me anything, it’s that I can set big goals and get them done. ⁣ ⁣ Do I have big goals for June? Maybe. ⁣ ⁣ I still need to pick a marathon training plan... having a hard time because I also have Wine and Dine. 🤔 decisions... decisions...⁣ ⁣ We are on day 8 of the @instarunclub challenge... so there’s that. ⁣ ⁣ Today starts @pinkcupcakegirl’s 7th annual June run streak, so I’m definitely doing that as well. ⁣ ⁣ To be honest, my mental health has suffered quite a bit in the last few weeks so I’m starting the month a little lost, a little defeated.
