Story Time!
it’s 4:40 am and I just had a VIVID dream.
I just woke up from a dream in which I was riding in the back of a car with Apple CEO Tim Cook driving and some random teenage boy of some ambiguous importance which I do not remember in the slightest in the passenger seat. The car is a cyber truck btw, but like one that Cook “stole/borrowed” to drive us into Boston for some fancypants tech-mogul meeting. At the moment, I don’t realise that I forgot to buckle myself in, but that’s only because my brain is wrestling with the feeling of guilt—from riding in a car with one of those social media dubbed “darn rich CEOs and 1%ers”. But after a bit of self-reflection, I determine that it’s non-functional guilt and push it aside.
After a few minutes of listening to Cook and Random Important Guy My Age talk about innocuous stuff like college courses/what not, I determine to myself that a) Tim Cook is a really good driver, b) Random Guy must be from my college or SOMETHING, and c) I am here like a sleeper agent, passively gathering intelligence to bring back to the top secret agency which is really just my mom and sister who, in the dreamworld, are leaders of a covert movement to “bring down the billionaires”.
I decide to look behind me through the rear window in time to see a car pull out from the travelling lane, from behind a civilian car, and merge INTO the car in the right lane, absorbing it light an amoeba. And oh my god, in the morphing/absorbing process, the car turn into a sporty, purple, mariokart-style cartoon race car and picks up a cluster of mariokart coins that were hovering in the street, waiting to be grabbed. I know who’s driving this car, and it’s Elon Musk.
Cook glances in the rear view mirror and says loudly into the car’s air to say over the car phone something to the effect of, “You can’t buy me off that easily.”
Cook’s car’s speakers suddenly come to life with Musk’s voice saying, with a chuckle, “Oh just you wait and see.” And then I watch him slide into the middle lane right behind us, and I instantly face forward again. I remind myself that I’m just undercover, that I just like to ‘get closer to my enemies’ and that’s why I’m here. To see what all those tech CEOs are up to these days, what things they are planning these days.
that’s when I remember I’m not buckled. I scramble to click down the buckle when — oh no! — there are two cars not moving ahead of us. One is perpendicular to the flow of traffic and smoking. Adrenaline and small fear spike my nerves. Finally I click my buckle in place. Cook expertly slows the car and navigates us through a gap between the two cars post-accident. But the car tire trips over the edge of the smoking car and gains air time. We arch high over the road. I think, oh no this is it! Then I realise my seat buckle hadn’t clicked in all the way so it starts to retract back. I scramble to shove it back in but it’s hard while simultaneously being thrown through the air.
Fortunately, Cook is a good driver (something I find myself internally marvelling at). I jam my belt buckle in, hear a click— finally actually safe again— and I look forward, in time to see us touch down our tires on asphalt and pull into a parking lot in a little enclosure right next to a rocky beach by an ocean. Cook stops us and next thing I know, he comes to sit in the backseat with me. Random Important Guy ((btw he has long, brown, surfer style hair — not important but I thought you should know because *vIbEs*)) gets out of the car to look around. I take out my water bottle to get a drink of water. Cook watches while Musk’s purple, animated sports car zips by on the highway, heading for some meeting in Boston (don’t ask me why there’s an ocean on the side of a highway smack dab in the middle of Massachusetts where we are driving). I feel a sense of relief because at least we aren’t being chased-ish by a weird tech man anymore.
Cook mumbles something about corporately betraying him one day, which I get a sense is more so some minor infraction like replacing his balogna sandwich for lunch with a peanut-butter-and-pickle sandwich. I try to take a sip of water but my water bottle is acting up, protesting, by making a squealing noise. Air is trying to escape the pressure inside through a badly sealed top. It’s freaking me out and I feel it’s going to explode soon, sending water all over me and the interior of this car (and I can’t risk someone being mad at me!!) so I push the door open and thrust the water bottle out over the asphalt. But, it doesn’t explode; in fact it altogether stops making the noise. I can quench my thirst now.
Random Important Guy leaves the car to explore the coastline.
I am just about to sit back and relax/recover from the near accident, airborne scare, when a man steps up to the side of our car and puts his hands on his hips. I can see him if I lean forward out of the car. And surprise! It’s Elon staring confidently at the horizon like he wants to buy and conquer the whole ocean. He says something dramatic but I don’t remember it anymore. I just feel my anxiety pick up a little because i have a really bad poker face and if he turns to me he’s going to find out that I’m a spy for my family in hopes of stealing his fortune and empire for ourselves, and if he finds out now it’s all going to be over and end in prison.
suddenly, he tears his gaze off the ocean and on me. He smiles in a really unnerving way at me, winks, and I wake up.

What Tech CEOs Need to Know to Lead Successful Digital Transformations
Digital transformation is not just a buzzword; it’s a necessity for businesses aiming to remain competitive and relevant in today’s fast-paced market. From my experience working with organizations on their digital journeys, I’ve learned that leading a successful transformation requires more than implementing new technologies. It demands vision, strategy, and a strong focus on people. Here’s what tech CEOs need to know to steer their companies through this crucial process.
Start with a Clear Vision
Every successful digital transformation begins with a well-defined vision. As the CEO, you’re responsible for articulating what transformation means for your organization. Is it about improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, or creating new revenue streams? Your vision should align with your company’s strategic objectives and be specific enough to guide decision-making.
This vision must also be communicated effectively across the organization. Teams need to understand not just what is changing, but why it’s changing. When employees are aligned with the company’s goals, they’re more likely to embrace the changes and contribute actively to the transformation effort.
Build a Culture That Embraces Change
Digital transformation isn’t just about adopting technology—it’s about transforming the culture of the organization. A culture that resists change can quickly derail even the best strategies. Your role as CEO is to foster an environment where innovation is encouraged, experimentation is safe, and failures are seen as opportunities to learn.
For instance, I’ve seen companies thrive by creating innovation teams dedicated to exploring new technologies and processes. These teams often serve as a testing ground for ideas that can later be scaled across the organization. Recognizing and rewarding employees who contribute innovative ideas can also reinforce a culture of adaptability and creativity.
Focus on Talent Development
Technology is only as effective as the people using it. Investing in your team’s skills is critical to ensuring the success of your digital transformation. This doesn’t always mean sending employees to expensive training programs; there are many cost-effective ways to upskill your workforce.
Online learning platforms, mentorship programs, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions are excellent starting points. Moreover, it’s essential to hire talent with digital expertise while also developing existing employees’ skills. When your workforce feels empowered and equipped to handle new technologies, they become active participants in driving the transformation.
Prioritize Customer Experience
At the heart of every digital transformation should be the goal of improving customer experience. Customers today expect seamless, personalized, and efficient interactions with businesses, and meeting these expectations often requires leveraging data and analytics.
Understanding your customers’ needs starts with gathering and analyzing data about their behaviors, preferences, and feedback. This information can guide product development, improve service delivery, and even uncover opportunities for new offerings. Remember, a transformation that doesn’t enhance the customer experience is unlikely to deliver long-term value.
Be Agile in Decision-Making
The pace of digital change is rapid, and successful leaders must be prepared to adapt quickly. Agility in decision-making allows organizations to respond to market shifts, emerging technologies, and unexpected challenges.
Being agile doesn’t mean rushing decisions; it means being flexible and informed. Regularly reviewing progress and staying open to feedback are key practices that can help maintain momentum. For example, I’ve worked with companies that hold bi-weekly leadership meetings to review digital transformation initiatives and adjust strategies as needed. This practice ensures that decisions remain aligned with organizational goals.
Leverage Data for Strategic Decisions
Data is often called the new currency, and for good reason. Companies that effectively collect, analyze, and utilize data gain significant advantages in their digital transformations. As CEO, you should champion a data-driven approach to decision-making across all levels of the organization.
Investing in tools that provide real-time insights into business operations can be a game-changer. For instance, advanced analytics can help identify inefficiencies, predict customer trends, and measure the impact of digital initiatives. When used correctly, data becomes a strategic asset that drives informed decisions and measurable outcomes.
Break Down Silos with Collaboration
One of the biggest barriers to successful digital transformation is organizational silos. Departments that operate in isolation often fail to collaborate effectively, leading to fragmented efforts and missed opportunities.
As CEO, you can break down these silos by encouraging cross-functional collaboration. Creating teams that bring together representatives from IT, marketing, operations, and other departments fosters a more cohesive approach. Collaboration ensures that everyone is aligned with the transformation goals and that solutions are developed with a holistic view of the organization’s needs.
Address Cybersecurity as a Priority
With digital transformation comes increased reliance on technology, and with that comes heightened cybersecurity risks. Neglecting this aspect can have serious consequences, from data breaches to loss of customer trust.
Your role as CEO includes ensuring that robust security measures are in place. This means investing in the latest cybersecurity tools and fostering a culture of awareness. Regular training on cybersecurity best practices for all employees is essential. Additionally, conducting routine audits can help identify vulnerabilities and address them proactively.
Measure Progress with Key Metrics
Tracking progress is vital to ensure your digital transformation stays on course. Key performance indicators (KPIs) should be established at the outset to measure success. These might include metrics related to operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, or revenue growth.
Frequent reviews of these metrics allow you to identify what’s working and what needs adjustment. For instance, if a new digital platform isn’t driving the expected adoption rate, you can investigate the reasons and pivot as necessary. Measuring progress keeps the transformation effort focused and goal-oriented.
Communicate Transparently
Finally, clear and transparent communication is the glue that holds a digital transformation together. Regularly sharing updates, challenges, and successes with your team fosters trust and ensures everyone stays informed.
Open communication also helps address resistance to change. Employees are more likely to support transformation efforts when they understand the reasons behind them and see the benefits for both the organization and themselves. As CEO, your visibility and openness set the tone for how the transformation is perceived and embraced.
Key Tips for Leading Digital Transformations
Define a clear vision
Foster a culture of innovation
Invest in talent development
Focus on customer experience
Embrace agile decision-making
Use data to drive strategy
Promote collaboration across teams
Prioritize cybersecurity measures
Track progress with KPIs
Communicate transparently
In Conclusion
Digital transformation is not a one-time project; it’s an ongoing journey that requires commitment, adaptability, and a strong focus on people. As a tech CEO, your leadership is critical in navigating this process. By defining a clear vision, fostering a culture of innovation, and leveraging data effectively, you can guide your organization to success in the digital era.
The road may be challenging, but with the right strategies and a dedicated team, the rewards of digital transformation are well worth the effort.

✨The Fashionista✨
Rise Ramblings #234
While watching “The Clothes Don’t Make The Turtle,” I noticed something.
I found it interesting that Raph, Mikey, and Leo were content with Raph’s outfit choice until Donnie stated that he wasn’t “in love with it, ya’ know.”
Suddenly, Raph declares “I’m a disaster!” Albeit ridiculously endearing, it was a little strange to see his sudden shift from moderately content to absolute dissatisfaction. Huh…
Then, the disaster twins decide to help him out.
Take a note of their outfit choices.
Raph tries on all of these fits and more.
Donnie’s first choice is a mild “no.” Leo’s choice is a hard “NO.” (Not surprising, lol.) But then, the overwhelming consensus lands on Raph’s fourth outfit, which ended up being Donatello’s other pick for his brother.
So, in summary, Raph tried on his personal choice for an outfit, of which they rejected. Then, ultimately, Donatello picked out an outfit for his brother, and that pick ended up being perfect. Hmm…
Then I noticed something else. In this episode, we never get a Donnie “curtain reveal” moment, to our disdain. I mean, Raph, Leo, and Mikey got to try on several different outfits in order to get their brothers' opinions before landing on that “perfect outfit, you know the one.” All of his brothers got to shine. Why not DonTron?
Then it hit me.
The try-ons were to get their brothers' opinions and approval. And, for his brothers' choices, he was a major contributor in assisting them in pulling their looks together.
What if, bear with me, Donnie didn’t need the "curtain scene" because he was so confident in his fashion sense that he didn’t need to ask his brothers for help to pick out a great look.
…or they figured out how to break Hypno’s spell before he could get a “curtain reveal.” BUT STILL-
Look at his outfit choices in this episode. Some of his wardrobe changes were off-screen, but all of them were fire.
(I added the baseball cap pic because it makes me happy. I wish we'd seen more of that fit.)
To me, he makes some really smart choices for himself, pushing the envelope of what is expected and taking chances: an open collar with no tie for a “black tie” event, a beanie and spiked wristbands for their “gansta look,” no socks with loafers (a viral fashion trend that actually began in Africa) with old man slacks in his reclined pose. *muah* Chef’s kiss!
But Don’s fashion sense doesn’t just shine in this episode.
In “Reparin’ the Baron” the boys go to Draxum’s apartment. Leo and Donnie show up in some extra nice “Sunday Dinner” twin drip.
The gold is in the details. Everything Leo is wearing, Donnie rocks its compliment: for Leo’s round collar, Donnie’s is angled, for Leo’s blue shirt, Donnie’s is white, For Leo’s light slacks, Donnie’s are dark. Blah blah blah. It’s so good!
Look at the winter fit in Snow Day.

Again, Donnie is Leo’s perfect compliment. As a pair? Fire.
Donnie has “the eye.” I can go on and on with examples, but I’ve said all of that to say this…
In the future, we see that Donatello’s technology had major pull in the resistance. He had drone ships patrolling the skies. He built and designed Leo’s arm, Casey’s chainsaw-hockey stick, and Casey's mask. The list goes on…
But, when Donatello from the past see’s Casey’s clothing from the future, he says this:
We know about the “Genius Built” brand. We’ve seen that logo on all of his tech up to this point. But, here he didn’t just say “Genius Built.” He said, “Genius Built Apparel.”
“Apparel” is not a tech brand. “Apparel” is a fashion brand. Of course, tech is incorporated into the clothing, but still.
This means that past Donatello secured this trademark with plans of creating a fashion brand, comparable to the likes of Gucci, Ralph Lauren, or any other modern clothing brand, as a subsidiary of “Genius Built,” the tech company.
And why not? The evidence has been in front of us this entire time. He has a sharp eye for style, fashion, and trends. It is easily canon that he can sew. Splinter sewed their ninja garbs in “Insane in the Mama Train,” and there is a sewing machine in the house.
They already learned Ninjutsu through basically osmosis, so learning to sew is not too far-fetched.
And here it is, right in front of us, Casey’s entire ensemble, from mask, to weapons, to clothing, was made by Donatello in the middle of the apocalypse under the brand name “Genius Built Apparel.”

And that was just in the bad future. Resources were limited, they didn’t have access to much of anything in that broken world as they were survivors of a devastating Krang invasion. Yet, he created all of this.
However, now that they’ve changed the future, his future as a fashion designer is limitless. Think of what Donatello could produce with unlimited resources, unlimited technology, and unlimited creative freedom.
Tech genius. Clothing designer. Fashionista. Future Genius Built Apparel Owner and CEO. I’m sorry, but I have to call it...
Donatello Hamato of the present, of the bad future, and of the good future is a fashion icon, the likes of which the world has never seen. ○○○○

Tech Tuesday: Company Picnic

Summary: CEO Levinson looks out for his people.
Warnings: Implied violence. Please let me know if I missed any!
A/N: Holy shnikes, I've been writing Tech Tuesday for an entire year without skipping a week! Sure, I've had to fudge a few things, but I've been consistent! I'm kinda proud of myself for that!
Tech Tuesdays Masterlist

CEO Ari Levinson looks over the controlled chaos that is the company picnic. He's been told, time and again, by CFO Wilson that letting everyone bring their families made these events significantly more expensive but, for Ari, it's worth it. He lost his family through his workaholic tendencies and maybe, just maybe, these kinds of events can help prevent another workaholic from losing their connections. If it weren't for the potential allergy complications, he'd even let people bring their pets to these things. You never know what someone close to burnout needs.
As if he knew Ari was thinking about him, Sam approaches, looking ready to talk business.
"You looked over the offer?" Ari raises an eyebrow.
"Sure did. Not every day we get an offer to be bought," Sam shakes his head.
"Especially not by someone so random as the Thrombey Estate," Ari agrees. "So what are they offering?"
Sam takes a sharp breath as he grimaces. "They're definitely aimed at making a deal with the Executives and only the Execs. The offer is full of benefits for us. There's a couple lines about 'preserving employee counts' but it's very clear they don't give a shit."
Ari shakes his head and looks at the people around him again. That's another reason he never wants families cut from getting to attend this event. He needs the reminder of what's at stake every time he makes a decision. It isn't just numbers, just profit. There are people who rely on him for their well-being. Whether they're single, with someone, married with kids, they're all the happier for the reliable paycheck. His heart clenches as he sees the kids area, thinking of the last time he saw his daughter before losing her in the divorce.
"So it's definitely a 'no' from us," Ari confirms. "Ray, would you please ask Romanov to join us?"
Raymond nods and quickly goes to find the Head of HR.
"What's she got to do with this?" Sam questions.
Ari lowers his voice, making sure the conversation can't be heard outside of the two of them. "We got a random offer from an estate that has no experience in our field. There's no indicators that anyone in the Thrombey family is interested in expanding or diversifying their portfolio. I think they're after someone. Someone who's linked to them in some way."
"You had her look into it. Smart."
As they wait, Ari keeps his eyes on the crowd. "Are you going to participate in any of the games?"
Sam scoffs. "Only if the IT crew doesn't compete. They're single-handedly dismantling the meme of computer guys being weak, sports-averse, dweebs."
Ari throws his head back as he laughs at that. "You're not wrong. Pretty sure the only competition they've ever really had was Hansen's department but that's only because of Hansen himself." Sam rolls his eyes at the mention of Lloyd. "You're still upset he stole the cute girl from IT?"
"Sort of. She's damn cute and I was really interested. But since they've gotten together, Hansen has been easier to work with. Low bar, but still. How long do you think it'll last? Hansen ain't known for relationships."
Ari winces. "Call me a romantic, but I'm kinda rooting for them."
Sam's response is cut off by a polite cough from Raymond. Romanov smiles as she joins the conversation, "Raymond says you wanted to see me?" Her tone is professional polite, she's very good about making sure no one hears the wrong things.
"Sam's been informed of your 'mission'," Ari tells her and she goes from polite to serious.
"Managed to find a connection, just as you suspected," she reports. "Hugh Drysdale, grandson to Harlan Thrombey. He was hired almost two years ago under the name Ransom Drysdale, his middle name as his first. He didn't have much for references and I was certain he wouldn't get hired but Syverson and Pine decided to give him a chance."
Ari nods at the information. "Any idea why he came to us?"
"Got in touch with a PI friend of mine who laughed when he heard the name. Apparently Linda Drysdale, daughter of Harlan Thrombey, had hired him to find her son who had gone 'no contact'."
"A PI?" Sam interjects. "Did you have to pay for that information?"
Romanov smirks, "he's pretty amenable when it comes to getting me to not kick his ass." Sam laughs and Ari chuckles. Her strength doesn't just extend to office work.
"So we've got her son in our employ," Ari thinks aloud. "That explains a few things."
Sam nods in agreement. "I'll make sure to send the politest 'fuck off' message I can."
"Thank you," Ari smirks.
"She's not likely to stop at just the one offer and rejection," Romanov warns.
"True," Ari nods. "But we have no reason to give her the time of day. Sam, every future offer from Thrombey or Drysdale companies get pushed to the bottom of the pile."
"Understood," Sam smirks.
"And Ray, make sure any and all phone calls or emails from those same people are given low priority."
"Yes, Mr. Levinson," Raymond assures, phone already out. "And I believe it's a good time for you to make the rounds again."
"Right," Ari nods. He tries to make a point of meeting everyone. He doesn't remember everyone, but he still wants to try. It's good for him. Especially to remind him of why it's important he turns down offers like Thrombey's.

I do like how I've accidentally changed my Housewife Vox AU to be less "Vox is a housewife" and more "he just likes to be feminine and submissive sometimes 🫶 but overall his trajectory into having a monopoly of all the technology in pride is still about the same"
The way my brain was like "he's projecting being feminine with being a housewife because he's uncomfortable with the idea of being a man who wears dresses and it's easier for him to accept if it's in the guise of this fantasy vs how he's living" lmao.
In my defense, the AU was born bc the idea of Vox masturbating in a dress and panties was so hot I passed out and woke up with a fic written, so it's not like it was meticulously planned in any way.
#housewife vox au#its so funny to me im still keeping the name and this man still becomes a tech ceo
