Last night was so sick! Enjoy whatever crunchy no-fi photos I could bother myself with… My partner and I basically gave the festival a drive-by treatment, showed up, blew it up, dipped. But for JK FLESH, always worth it, amazing to stomp the floor with the perennial outsider who was dropped into what was otherwise a 90% sludge/stoner weekend. Somewhere between self exorcism and dental trauma via Tech Level 2 decelerations, breaking-down techno machinery, neanderthal reductionist grind of Exit Electronics with unhinged contortionist fx fills. Hilariously, I noticed I'd busted clean through my other shoe seams this morning, no joke!! The venue being a respectable dance club didn't hurt either. Decent sound system giving a mean chest punch and subs hitting just hard enough to trigger the dive reflex… Crowd was mixed. A few confused stares, sure, the one obligatory plastered "FASTER!!" (will he ever be get peace) but refreshing to see some heads up front absolutely going for it. Not just us. I spied a few repping Pi Electronics, Basic Channel, etc. Not just Finnish metalhead stone statues with their arms folded. Could easily tell who was really there for it …and yet again proven how thoughtful (and generous!) Justin is. Truly memorable night hanging out going personal and following up on shooting the shit and talking things profound. Couldn't stop finding overlaps, shared stuff, so much so we all nearly missed the stage call! I record gigs I go to just for my own enjoyment, but this was sanctioned by the man himself... Left my recorder at the front of house, sorry about that rattling can. Only proves the sound level! October in London can’t come soon enough…

Got my AAC device in the mail yesterday same week me speech therapist requested it! I am so so happy and exited about it!

Any other AAC users of any kind have recommendations on how get use to using it more in real life?

Have very unreliable speech/ semi verbal and verbal shutdowns and am trying be okay with using it more while I need instead of being ashamed with myself. If anyone could tell me how get more confident would be appreciated :3 I have aac app and communication cards made

Speech often exhausting and make me drool / spit as have bad control and my braces make me salivate more, which make worse. Almost every time talk I can never say what meant to say, even if I script heavily. I often cuss when don’t mean to and get seen as aggressive, just comes out. Also have very very bad issues with tone and get mistaken for having attitude. Also sometimes laugh when seems appropriate, and get called out for how fake it sound. (Which technically yes is fake but not in rude way, just seemed socially appropriate. And laugh did not come out as intended.) and when with neurotypical and sometime even other neurodivergent friends I say something that I thought fit humor of group and get met with weird looks or “oh..” and it very embarrassing. Also sometimes just hate talking in general.

disclaimer : its perpetually unfinished and is in a constant state of wip. we frequently add buttons based on words we feel the need to say often . we also probably need to add a folder for conversational scripts , like restauraunt orders and faqs . however, its largely finished and usable , though id like to add more to the ' places ' & ' feelings ' folders !!! the blacked out word is our deadname , which we had to include since most people irl know us by it .

i use the app weave chat on an ipad ! not sure which kind but it's a relatively old model .

we're a bit verbally scrambled due to schizophrenia and have frequent verbal shutdowns due to autism . we spend about 50-80% of the time unable to speak , and tire of it very very quickly .

we have a lot of art on here by a lot of wonderful people, mainly including but not limited to : @angelsemotes @tontoemojis @k9emote @meeb-motes @stellas--symbols and @neon-emojiz !!! yall have been very helpful and are wonderful artists ,,,

individual folders !!! in order : general, about me, health, abc & 123, places, items, pronouns, positions, feelings, actions !

we also sometimes use a google doc on a computer to type and show to people, or google translate tts, communication cards, phantomiming, and very basic sign language !

Words are very hard, alogia & major word salad to the point where I can't speak at all. Its lasted the longest time now than it ever has. Good news, I have a working relationship with my acc now :)

OUT NOW: TECH LEVEL 2 — Indifferent

With Tech Level 2, Justin K Broadrick harks back to the days when drum and bass was ruff, rugged and raw, in the 90’s and very early 00’s.

And, for those who don’t know, Justin worked tirelessly in the drum and bass scene in the mid 90s to the early 00’s producing many records on revered UK drum and bass labels, both as Tech Level 2 and his pre Tech Level 2 project Youpho (which was a duo). More info can be found on the blurbs for the previous Tech Level 2 releases on Avalanche Recordings.

Drum and bass / Jungle, had a huge impact on Justin from its inception in the early 90’s, and he brought that influence into his Godflesh productions from the mid 90’s onwards. An influence that has been omnipresent ever since, in not only Godflesh, but across every project.

Now operating without engaging in any scenes or DJ culture, Tech Level 2 still exists to continue flying the flag for the roots of pure, raw and minimal/maximal drum and bass.
