“so you don’t see intercourse with me as something significant?” that earns you a roll of his eyes.

“i don’t recall those words leaving my lips, woman.” he glances at you with a bored look, already much too used to your antics and the nonsensical conclusions you often pulled from his words (“it’s called reading in between the lines, ryo.” you had insisted. he chose not to debate you on it).

he sighs when you go silent, seemingly waiting for an explanation from him that would fix the small pout gracing your lips. he would’ve let you sulk if you were anybody else, but you weren’t.

“i realize the significance humans place on it now that i am yours, but i partook in the act purely for pleasure before you. it was simply to fulfill my fleshly desires.” he doesn’t need to look at you to know that the frown on your face still hasn’t faltered. in fact, the displeased look on your face probably only deepened upon the mention of him being intimate with other women.

“human customs are foolish, that will never change.” his hand lifts to your lips, a cube of mango held delicately between his fingers. he continues speaking only after feeding you the fruit.

“but if my stubborn little wife sees it as something of importance, then it shall be so.” he says the last part with a sense of finality, as if it was a part of his life that he accepted a long, long time ago.

you contemplate his words for a moment, your posture easing against the lavish pillows of your shared bed. you stall on swallowing the piece of fruit on your tongue, considering a question in that ever curious mind of yours.

“what’s significant to you, ryo?”

he pauses for a brief moment but doesn’t answer, simply bringing another piece of fruit up to your lips (whether the action was out of care or to keep your mouth occupied was unclear).

his lack of an answer was as good of an answer as any, though.

this was significant to him. the way he cut and fed you soft fruit with hands that had slaughtered armies, handling you as if you were made of fine china. never yelling, never arguing.

the king of curses devoted himself to you because deep in his heart he acknowledged his subservience to you.

that is what’s significant to him.

this is a niche headcanon but I think Wade would be a really good Dungeon Master. His mind and mouth run a mile a minute, he’s really good at thinking on the fly, and he also can really obsessively plan shit out, which are all grey traits for a DM. I think his ADHD ass pirated the DnD rulebook on a whim and then whoops! He’s read it all in a single day and now he’s binge watching Critical Role and reading the DM’s guide and planning out dungeon maps in his mind etc etc.

Logan comes home to Wade sprawled out on the floor with his computer, a notepad, and like 5 books all open around him and is like —

“Fuck is all this, bub?”

“Oh! It’s a thing called Dungeons and Dragons. It’s total nerd shit, but lucky for me I’m a total nerd, so! I just got into it today but it’s basically a role playing table top game where you—“

“I know what it is.”

“…you do? Because no offense, Logie bear, but you are, like, ancient, and I don’t think they had this when you were growing up. Unless Gary Gygax is secretly immortal, too, which could totally be a possibility now that I think about it.”

“No, uh. I played it once. With the kids at Xavier’s back when… back when I was in my old universe.”

“Oh. Well… if you ever want to play it again, I’m home-brewing a campaign and I’m gonna see if Yukio and Negasonic Teenage Butthead wanna play.”

“When did you say you got into this again?”

“Today.”

“Right.”

And then Wade ropes Yukio and Negasonic and Laura and Colossus into playing with him, and Logan stays out of it but eventually after a couple sessions they all gang up on him and peer pressure him into joining. He thinks he won’t have any fun really besides spending time with people he likes, but then he’s kind of blown away at seeing Wade DM — he’s so animated, great at improving and keeping things fun and interesting, finally finding a way to put his propensity to talk and talk and talk to good use, and Wade just looks so damn happy doing it too that Logan can’t really help but get into it.

So then he ends up playing DnD every Thursday evening.

fandom talks too little about hylla and reyna. reyna killed her father when she thought he'd killed hylla. hylla dragged them out of puerto rico and found them sanctuary and employment on circe's island AND became one of circe's favorites. then when they got captured by blackbeard hylla also got them out of that situation by out-pirating literal immortal pirates. then in a span of three years, they split up, found their own ways to the amazons and cj, and became the leaders of their respective factions. when hylla's queenship was being threatened by otrera in son, she plotted a counter-coup and defeated an amazon queen who couldn't die two nights in a row in one-on-one combat, THEN led her cavalry to camp jupiter. (ik this woman slept like a corpse for a week afterwards). hylla used reyna as an absolutely ruthless bait-and-switch to capture orion, and all reyna said in response to that was, "bet." reyna carries insurmountable amounts of both guilt and gratitude towards her sister. even though they havent seen each other in a while, hylla still drops everything and does everything in her power to save her baby sister when she knows reyna needs her.
