Every time a new chapter drops on this fic (Reforged by Heliopauseentertainments), my sibling, whose not reading it, loses his mind over the fact that we don’t yet have a for certain answer on the potential reincarnation plotline.

Snippet from new WIP

Context: Prowl and Smokescreen the morning after the destruction of Praxus, feat. my OC Hipshot, Jazz’s predecessor as the head of the Autobot’s Special Operations

“Carrier-”

“Bluestreak is alive. We are going to Praxus to find him.” Prowl took Smokescreen’s hand. “Are you stable?”

“Enough.” 

“Good.”

They continued down the hall, towards the shuttle launch. Prowl opened an incoming comm from Hipshot.

::You didn’t hear this from me, but Spec Ops has two extra seats on their shuttle. Find Bumblebee. It’ll head straight for Enforcer HQ, or at least, the coordinates of where it used to be. If Smokescreen can’t handle it, Bee will stay with him.::

Prowl didn’t believe he’d ever found himself thanking Hipshot, but today was full of awful firsts. Hipshot brushed the thanks off easily.

::Just make sure if you see your ex to doubletap him through the spark, as a little gift to me.::

Ah, finally! Here’s my work for 2022′s @tf-bigbang. It’s been a wonderful time, and I was paired with the lovely @sxpaiscia, who provided me with three gorgeous illustrations. So sit back and please enjoy all the work we’ve put into this.

Fandom: Transformers - All Media Types

Relationships: Skywarp/Thundercracker (ThunderWarp), Megatron/Starscream (MegaStar)

Characters: Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Megatron, Soundwave, The Constructicons, Flatline, Original Cybertronian Characters, Sparklings

Additional tags: Mild Child Endangerment, Listen one of the sparklings can float phase shift and teleport, everyone is doing the best that they can

Summary: Skywarp and Thundercracker were keeping secrets from  Starscream. Right up until those secrets raised the number in their  trine from three to five. Now, in the middle of the war, the three seekers are struggling to  keep the crew of the Nemesis from discovering the two sparklings. But it  won't be long before Megatron and Soundwave get suspicious about how  much "trine time" Starscream's been taking lately and try to discover  the cause. And when one of those sparklings develops Skywarp's outlier  abilities, it'll only be a matter of time before they're all discovered.

as i wade slowly and gently into the horror movie fandom i’ve noticed that there are a lot of people who get upset when women in horror movies aren’t always like. Completely Badass Folks Who Always Know To Doubletap. and i just want to say that being ruthless and always one step ahead is not the only way to be an interesting woman character. it really gets on my nerves

and the sweet delicious irony of it all is the people complaining about woman characters in horror not being “badass enough” are the same people who call OTHER woman characters “mary sues” for being TOO self-sufficient or overpowered

i think the whole argument that violence is inherently terrible and shouldn’t be shown in movies -- which was a l*beral thing to say in the mid-2010s, not typically an argument you’d see a leftist making necessarily -- is shitty, but i think there’s still room to discuss the fact that a lot of men who are deep into cinema are still repulsed by any woman leads displaying empathy or emotion. i think one of the big reasons dudes hated m*dsommar was because a) they probably saw themselves in christian, and b) dani wasn’t the one being violent. she was emotional and still recovering from one of the worst things a person can go through. she was a vulnerable character, not bloodthirsty or happy to murder other people. these men didn’t see themselves in her, they saw themselves in christian, and we know what happened to him.

maybe i’m just angry about the weak, boring criticisms of ready or not. it annoys tf out of me that people are like “ugh grace wasn’t badass enough why didn’t she make sure the butler was dead!!!!!” because she’s a normal fucking person. i really think most people wouldn’t think to do that because most people don’t want to kill another person. most people have no concept of what could kill someone or not kill someone. honestly, if i beat someone over the head and they were on the ground, not visibly moving, and i was in extreme danger?? i would probably assume that person was dead!!! it was never meant to be a movie about a girl murdering an entire family without flinching. grace only killed one person, two if you count the butler but i don’t think she meant to kill him. and the reason she killed becky was intensely clear if you think about it for six seconds. the last thing becky said was “you don’t deserve a family.” we already know that the one thing grace wants more than anything is a family -- she grew up in foster homes and was passed around from house to house. becky pressed on grace’s trigger point and it sent her over the edge.

if becky hadn’t said that, i don’t think grace would’ve lost it. and i like that. of course grace wasn’t going to suddenly become a fucking assassin.

i write my two girls, especially clem, as violent -- it’s a running joke at this point. but i also try to get across empathy. the dead-eyed stare grace had at the end was very important, i think. what made that scene stereotypically badass was not her actions, but the music and the framing. grace herself was clearly traumatized and exhausted. and i liked that.

i understand the desire to make total badass characters who don’t care about killing or maiming someone, i really do -- it’s an act of reclamation, especially if you’re from a class of people denied their right to express intense emotion. but i think we should make more room for characters who aren’t like that, too.
