If you could choose between only living in Headspace or only living in Meatspace (real life), which would you choose? well our headspace is hazy and vague, but if it was a solidified headspace, then we'd love to live in our headspace city!! but if it has to stay hazy and vague we would uhhh probably lose all sense of self in there hkgjhg it's like brain fog but In The Real, the fuckin pale is swallowing us hkjgh

for all the drawbacks real life has, we do have people here we love and want to stay for. headspace would be a nice escape, but we're determined to live out here for the people we love.

If you only were allowed to eat one food for the rest of your life, but you would have to decide on the food collectively, what would it be and what would the decision making look like The decision making would involve Yearning bemoaning a lack of sweets and ultimately resolve in us choosing wonton soup, which is our favorite food and has enough vegetables for our daily nutritional intake. rip cotton candy tho 😔

What is the most fun about doing polls and answering questions, in your opinion? we like getting to explain ourselves. we are a constant conversation, and we like getting to share even a bit of our thought processes (if faucet lets us, of course.) if theres a poll or a question asked, we know the answer we're giving is warranted and wanted, in some way. we like knowing there's people willing to listen to us :']

for these questions specifically, we've also been trying to get to know ourselves better!! we're still new, still processing, still trying to understand how we work! like, these questions made us realize sharps is an age slider and helped us situate headspace a little more so!! hkjgh yippee!!

“Jinu, just the guy I wanted to see!” You smiled, impatiently pushing him into your chair. The new shipment of products had just arrived that morning, eagerly waiting to be used to paint a pretty picture on a person's face. Jinu was going to be just that. “Oh, really?” He tested, laying his limbs on the arms of the chair.

As you used your box cutter to open the package, you giggled with excitement. “Yes, of course! There’s a new product I wanted to try on you.” You chatted, squealing with happiness as you gazed upon your new products. Receiving the latest material was always exciting, it meant new ideas and of course, more time with your favorite client.

Carefully, you took hold of the man’s shoulders. “Now, hold still and don’t move.” You said, or more like demanded, with a serious look in your eyes.

Then, you began to apply the product to his eye with your brush. With his other eye, he tried to sneak a peek of what exactly you were doing. “Don’t look in the mirror either!” You gasped, covering his eyes with your hand.

“Okay, okay.”

A few moments passed as you prettied him up, generously applying each product with care. “There we go!”

His eyes quickly opened, running a hand along his cheek. A crimson red was spread on his eyelids, blending nicely with the darkness of his liner. “You were right, this looks fantastic.” He whispered.

You gripped the back of his chair, admiring your work in the mirror. Though, you supposed Jinu deserved some credit. He was quite pretty all on his own. “Aren’t I? You look handsome, like a prince of darkness.”

“A prince of darkness…” He muttered under his breath, then thankfully smiled at you. “Thank you, [Name].”

“Of course, it’s my duty, isn’t it?”

Your day had been unusually stressful; several of your best artists had called out sick, your shipment of new products hadn’t arrived yet, and a certain member of the group was being more feisty than usual. The cherry on top was that you had arrived late to the concert preparations, despite being told a completely different time than the true one. A feeling of anxiety was churning in your gut, and you nearly had to step out for a moment to catch your breath.

You loved your job more than anything, but it did have its moments. There were times when you doubted your skill or your expertise in the area, just as anyone would experience. But, it remained in the back of your mind; waiting, festering. Were you truly the most suited candidate as the makeup artist of the Saja Boys? Was it pity that brought you here? You didn’t know. A burning sensation was felt in your eyes as tears welled up; were you really going to cry here?

But, to your luck, an angel sat in your chair.

And before you knew it, you were laughing and smiling like nothing had been bothering you.

A giggle left your lips as you lightly patted an amber shadow onto the muscular man’s eyelids. “No way Romance actually did that!” You chortled, trying your best to stay steady as you worked your magic.

The man tried to hold back his own laughter, yet failed to do so. “But he did, that’s the crazy part!” He wheezed.

As you reached over to rummage through your brushes, Abby kept a watchful eye on you. “I knew he was the type to be a fool in love, but I didn’t think he’d actually buy doves, put them in a top hat, and then send them flying directly at the girl.” You scoffed, finally finding the smaller tipped brush you needed.

“To be fair, I don’t think he really thought it through.”

“Does he ever do that anyway?” You questioned, raising an eyebrow as you carefully traced the perimeter of his eye with liner.

He couldn’t help but crack up.

Another fit of giggles was shared between the two of you. From just a simple interaction, your mood had already skyrocketed into one shining like the sun. “Thanks for making me laugh, Abby. I really needed this.” You sighed, setting your pencil back in its designated spot.

“Anytime.”

There was no hesitation in his voice, only the truth. He would see you again and make you laugh with the same joy and fervor. Only you would be the one to bring out his beauty with your brush strokes.

An assuring pat was given on his back, “Now, you go show off out there, you deserve it.” You smiled, hoping soon he would be back to tell you more ridiculous stories.

And oh, would he.

𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄

“My beloved makeup artist!” He sang, eagerly rushing to sit in your faux leather chair. A sigh left you, of course he would be the first to sit in your chair. If he didn’t, he would just argue with the other boys till they let him go first. It was odd, you don’t remember doing anything necessarily extravagant for him aside from doing your job and doing it well. According to Jinu, the pink haired man looked at you like you hung the stars.

You didn’t see it, but whatever made the poor guy happy.

“Hello to you too, Romance.”

His eyes followed you as you grabbed your eyeshadow pallet, one specifically meant for him. Some time ago, you had told him that it was practically made for him. Now, he had his own he used every day at home. “I missed you, darling! When you were gone on vacation last week I thought I was going to lose my mind.” He whined as he threw his head back over the chair.

An eyebrow raised towards him, “And why would that be?”

With a wave of his hand, he feigned a faint, placing the back of his hand against his forehead. “Oh, the person who took over for you was very rough with their brush and nearly took my eye out with an eyeliner pencil. It hurt, my heart and my soul…” He explained as you gave him a deadpan expression.

Romance was one to keep up the dramatics, on stage or off. If he wasn’t a theater kid in a past life, then you’re the Queen. “Aw, I’m sorry that happened. The manager seriously needs to work on hiring better people.” You complained, and you weren’t lying. There were some shady people that you worked with.

As he dreamily gazed at you, hearts were practically fluttering around him as you lightly brushed his cheeks with a soft blush. “I knew you would understand!” He praised as he clasped his hands together in his lap, “You totally get me.”

A gentle pat was given to his shoulder, and it immediately shut him up. “Sure, pretty boy. Now, get up on that stage and knock em’ dead.”

You touched him? Oh my god you touched him, you touched his shoulder. If he didn’t have to keep up appearances, his demon marks would be glowing as brightly as the morning sun. “Pretty boy”, you meant it right? You had to, why would you lie to him? I mean, he knows he’s pretty but it has to be true if you say so, right?

Just before he left his seat, he turned to check himself out in the mirror. “You could definitely slice someone with how sharp this liner is!” He gasped, running a cupped hand along his jaw.

The grin on his face would be enough to send one of his fans into shock. “It’s a 10/10 for me!”

A soft smile couldn’t help but curl on your face. As dramatic and loud as the idol could be, he was a sweetheart.

𝐌𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐘

“Are you okay, hon? You’ve been standing here for a while.” An expression of concern was present on your face as you prepped Baby’s skin for his foundation. This was a pattern you had noticed in the last few weeks.

Mystery had been standing there next to your chair for 30 minutes, well past the amount of time needed for his routine. Only the lower half of his face was due for makeup, a task that took half the amount of time as the other boys needed. The silver haired boy only needed his lips and foundation done along with a little blush, and oh how tempted he was to smudge it so you could gently hold his jaw in place.

He, however, was too sweet to do that. A feeling of guilt would haunt him if he ruined your lovely job.

“Is something wrong?” Your voice broke him away from his thoughts, giving him an expectant look. A light flush rose to his cheeks, his hair hiding the hearts in his eyes. “Uh-” He stammered as he wrung his hands, trying to hide the nervous feeling in his gut.

“Is your makeup smudged?” You insisted, inching closer to his face to check for smears.

“No-”

“Then why are you standing here like a lost puppy?”

Once again, he didn’t respond. Only stood there, flustered beyond belief from your attention.

Then suddenly, you gasped. “I see, so you wanted to watch me do Baby’s makeup?” You smiled, happy that someone was interested in your skills.

Without missing a beat, he nodded. It was the only way he was going to get out of this without combusting into flames, and the boy sitting in your chair was not believing one bit of it. Mystery was so obvious that anyone with eyes could see that he was utterly infatuated with you, yet you couldn’t see it.

Your obliviousness and Mystery’s hesitance was going to make the other boys go mad.

A gentle touch was placed on the older boys arm, guiding him to stand on the other side of you. “Well, of course you can! But, don’t ya have to be on stage in about 2 minutes?”

“This is just sad, dude.” Baby muttered, earning a glare from the older member of the group.

“Baby, this is the third time I’ve redone your lip combo…” You groaned, clenching your fists at your sides, trying your best not to lose your cool. The idol merely continued to smudge the products on his lips with his lollipop, observing your reaction with an intent stare. Almost like he was waiting for you to dare and apply another round of product on his lips.

He was just going to ruin it again, and have you redo it over, again.

You knew he was doing it to mess with you, a nefarious reason behind it or not. It was frustrating, it was almost like he enjoyed messing with you. No, you were sure that was the case. Even Romance didn’t do something rude such as ruining your hard work, he was decent enough to not do it. Baby, however, was not one to shy away from actions such as this.

The man didn’t respond to you, still he stared at you with that unreadable expression of his. It was always hard to tell what he was thinking. “Nothing to say?” You jeered, your tone telling of your lack of patience.

Once again, no response.

A sigh left you, this was getting old. “I’m starting to think you might be doing this just because you like me.” You joked, now applying his lip gloss.

“And what if I do?”

A shocked expression took over your features, finding it hard to believe he actually uttered those words. Baby? Really? Saying that to you? Never heard of, in fact, what alternate universe were you in right now? “I guess that wouldn’t be a bad thing?” You murmured, questioning the fact if this was real.

“See you next time then, darling makeup artist.” He smirked as he rose from his chair, poking your cheek as he did so.

An exasperated sigh was released as soon as he left the chair. “I swear with that guy…”

He hadn’t even let you finish fixing up his lips.

Let me wrap this moment in my memory forever. (I tried to adjust the lighting a bit but it didn't really work out 😭)

AJSSHUJKJ!!!!! THEY GIVE ME TWO MAKE OUT SESSIONS WITHIN THE SPAN OF LIKE 4 MINUTES AND EXPECT ME TO BE SANE ABOUT IT???

Look, we all expected this. I even said on record I wouldn't survive. And all that mental Muay Thai still didn't prepare me for this.

Till now, I have watched 60 BLs, give or take, so I've seen a lot of NC scenes. Compared to some of them, this is very PG-13, but this one really got me, like very few sex scenes have managed to. The intimacy, the palpable love, want. It all came together so beautifully in this scene.

Them saying 'I love you' during sex is canon! Yay! I knew it in my guts (wrote a fic about it) but feels so good to be right in canon hehe.

"I love you too, now kiss me again."

HANDS!!!! (It's canon now, they hold hands during sex, and so I can freely write a fic about it. Not that something not being canon ever stopped me but yeah.)

Also, love how Peem didn't hesitate to at the chance to kick both brothers and make it a streak 😭👍🏼

Honestly though, this scene shows that Peem is going to go to very long lengths to make sure Phum is okay, even kicking his own brother (which assures me that Peem maybe wouldn't hesitate that much to sucker punch their dad either, which is important information to have for possible future fics.)

Just finished reading Turnfire 9 and I can't stop re-reading and thinking about it. Allow me to rant a little <3

“The girlfriend again?” Considering Ajaw (of all people) has this impression of the reader, Kinich and reader must've been painfully obviously close in the eyes of everyone else. Like Ajaw's acknowledgement and validation to something feels so huge to me.

Also the part where Kinich notices the vision really had me like... he got his when he was almost dead. And the way he looked so terrified really makes you wonder what was going through his mind in that moment (someone before me already pointed this out so I am trying not to scream over the same thing again lol).

Also "ruby amulet" probably refers to a pyro vision right? At least the two are still compatible because Kinich needs the burning reaction. Looks like they will definitely make up at some point :D (the angst is going to be worth it yay)

But what if it was a cryo vision... dendro and cryo don't even work together (and rimegrass isn't an official reaction, not yet at least). Imagine meeting years later, both having visions, but even their elements don't work together.

(Also because cryo vision is associated with isolation and desolation, with loss and unbelonging. And while Kinich did make a few friends over the years, reader is implied to have been completely alone)

yes, ajaw's acknowledgement was definitely indicative of an extremely personal connection between reader and kinich, which is why everyone else was so shocked. it is said that while kinich has mentioned the reader (because it would be impossible not to unless he completely lied about his upbringing lol), he was not forthcoming with just how deeply intertwined their lives had been. whether or not that is due to kinich's tendency for privacy or other external factors shall be discussed soon in the story~

kinich's reaction to the reader's vision definitely stems from his own fear about the passage of time since they last met. he knows how he got his own vision, and the pain and trauma that he endured to get it. obviously, not everyone's experience is as terrifying, but kinich's fear is that reader's experience WAS that way, and that he hadn't been by her side during that time.

finally, yes! i have always planned for reader to have a pyro vision because <3 they are meant for each other <3 LOL. but if i truly wanted to break hearts then yes, i would likely give them something like a cryo vision or an anemo vision! but while i like angst i still want a happy ending HAHAHAHHA so we do what we can

Angst is actually all I used to write when I was younger, it was my main coping mechanism and a way for me to channel all that teenage angst and the pain that comes with it LOL I've mellowed out a lot, back then I wouldn't have ever turned it into such a hopeful story :D GROWTH 😤 I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Uh. All of them? Aldkjfskfj okay, that’s a lie, but tbh it’d be easier to point at the ones that don’t have kinda bummer endings. I love me some angst. :3

The title for Angstiest def has to go to ‘friend make sense of me’ tho. Yowch.

Oh, ‘be my fictional obsession’ for sure. Although ‘strawberry soju' is a strong contender, ultimately ‘bmfo’ is simply Sillier, so she takes the crown. :3

Not really! Though I have toyed around with writing AUs in other settings, the most recent of which is a BBC Merlin AU, which, let me tell you, has been tons of fun, even if I’ll probably never get around to finishing it lol.

-- Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I was about to say no because everyone has always been so lovely to me, but then I remembered that one person who bookmarked ‘like sugar and cyanide’ only to call it ‘lame’ for being self-indulgent and not ending with EraserMic getting together. Which was kinda funny ngl, because, like, my guy. The Unresolved Romantic Tension is right there in the tags, and also I repeatedly dunk on myself for being self-indulgent in just about every chapter note, so like, move along, sister, this is not the fic you’re looking for lmaoo.

-- Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope! Love me some innuendo and crass humor, but the most I ever see myself doing is a fade to black or maybe some vague allusion to the act (← see, I just did it), because it is simply not my cup of tea.

-- Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, but I’d be open to it for sure!

-- Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Another no, though I’m not sure I’d be a good fit for it tbh. I’m a bit precious about my writing process. 😅

Oh god, this is a Question. I mean, I have to say EraserMic given how much of my (fan) life it has consumed these past years, even if I do have some complicated, and at times contentious, thoughts and feelings about it.

QPR MicNight is right up there, though! I have just as complex and much less contentious feelings about QPR MicNight, my beloved. <3

I have so many QPR MicNight WIPs, you guys. One of these days, I’ll even finish one. orz

-- What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

CRIES. ALL OF THEM.

Okay, non-dramatic answer is ‘as the mists roll in at midnight,’ which is a WIP I started and finished outlining back in 2021 (it even got a title!) and then never got past the second chapter.

It’s a sort of house horror AU, featuring EraserMic, QPR MicNight, unexplained happenings in the woods, and a haunted inn that just wants to keep you safe. I love it so so much that I kind of got overwhelmed by my love for it, and thus my need for it to be perfect, and now I fear I shall never get back to it. </3

The same is true for so many of my WIPs, if I’m being honest. Shout out to Midnight Time Loop AU, ‘a song for a song,’ and ‘you know i make you wanna scream,’ the latter of which is the reason I no longer post multi-chap WIPs. rip.

-- What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue and narrative voice. I get so many niceys comments on both, especially my narrative voice for Mic, which makes my heart do a happy dance every time. :)

-- What are your writing weaknesses?

Establishing and describing setting, unfortunately. The struggle to not end up with characters talking and introspecting in The Void all the time is real. OTL

Also there's the more technical stuff like my abuse of adverbs, em-dashes, and run-on sentences, as well as my point-blank refusal to kill my darlings at times, but I like to chalk all that up to Style, Vibes, and This Hobby is Supposed to Be Fun, Damnit, so we don't count any of that. :3

-- What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

No strong thoughts in particular, just the usual 'as long as it's done well' caveat. Though I do like when honorifics and such are sprinkled in here and there, hence why I tend to do so in my fic. I find it serves as a helpful reminder that these characters are Japanese, and thus hopefully helps to stave off some of that dreaded, inevitable Americanization of everything.

-- What was the first fandom you wrote for?

BNHA, which, let me tell you, came as a surprise not just to me, but also to anyone who knows me irl. I was famously Not Very Much Into Anime for most of my life. Go figure.

-- What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

BBC Merlin!

I watched (and was obsessed with) the show way back when, but have only recently gotten into the fandom, and good GOD has it been a struggle to not hop right in to writing fic for it, especially for Gwen/Morgana, my beloved toxic yuri queens. Only reason I haven’t is because I’m loathe to add to my already heaping WIP pile.

-- What's your favorite fic you've written?

Oof, this is a hard one.

‘strawberry soju’ has my heart right now because it felt like such a different undertaking than most of my previous work (it’s a 9k, non-linear, Aizawa POV one-shot! There’s actual kissing in it!) and also because I learned a lot while working on it. I didn’t have a real outline when I started writing, only a premise, one or two strong images of interactions I wanted to include, and several themes I wanted to touch on. It was a struggle working with such bare bones at times, but I'm glad I kept at it, because I'm proud of how much of the core themes and concepts came through in the final result.

However. If I’m being honest, my real answer to this question is the fic I wrote for Something Just Like This, an EraserMic zine I contributed to that is currently in production. I wrote that fic back in February, and it’s been absolute hell not being able to share it this whole time because I’m just so goddamn proud of it!! I won’t say anything else because I could go on forever about it and I’m contractually obligated to not spill the beans, but GOD I can’t wait for you all to read it. 🥺

vibrates intensely hello hi. we are here to infodump a bit about jirachi (the lil yellow and white creature you rbed earlier) ok so:

It has its own movie and it sounds absolutely adorable in it. Here is an iconic scene of it disappearing one of the main characters into a pile of candy. Jirachi Wishmaker was one of our FAVOURITE Pokemon movies growing up, right next to Lucario and the Mystery of Mew FHDNDNFJDKSKD we watched that film SOOOOOO MUUUUUCH GHFJDJFJFJD

It is a psychic/steel type! This typing is. Fairly rare iirc! The only other ones that come to mind rn are the Beldum line and they're pretty cool too (Beldum has the same catch rate as Jirachi/most legendaries despite it not being a legendary!... Its catch rate is 3%. That is. VERY VERY LOW HFJFJSJFCJDJDJFJD)

Jirachi is one of very few legendaries you can still, if you're lucky/wealthy enough, obtain legitimately whenever! You can obtain it from non American copies of the game Pokemon Channel (which is EXPENSIVE) or you can obtain it from the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc (which came with the actual Pokemon Colosseum games if you preordered it. It is also. EXPENSIVE!!)

Expanding on fact 3, these methods of obtaining it mean it is not shiny locked like most legendaries! This is VERY UNUSUAL and shiny hunting the WSHMKR Jirachi (aka Bonus Disc Jirachi™) is one of the most tedious hunts to go on, but it is WORTH IT. Because having a legitimate shiny legendary is super fucking uncommon. Those are usually only found via events that have long since passed FHDJSJFJFJ

The movie goes over this as it's the whole plot but Jirachi only wakes up for a week once every 1,000 years! Once its awake, it will grant wishes for anyone!

okay let me just take a moment to bask in the fact that the motel scenes are your favourite because i worked SO insanely hard on those scenes LMAO <3 two bodies with one beating heart oh i love love love this. but yeah!!! at that moment in the story especially, dabi is her life vest; for the majority of their time there (right up until the end) he discards his manipulation and casts off his selfishness and allows himself to just be with her, to be there for her, for completely selfless reasons, because he truly does love her. it is a crucial point in their relationship!

ooooh yes okay!!! one of the lyrics that really stuck out to me in this song is there’s always something different going wrong / the path i walk’s in the wrong direction because it feels very keigo, especially since he was the golden boy who fell from grace, essentially. adding onto your selection of lyrics, the her conscience calls the guilty to come home also kind of reminded me of the guilt reader feels for leaving keigo, and how that guilt kind of repeatedly calls for her to come back to him, sometimes in the form of keigo himself.

feeling u hardcore on the chest aching with this song. it’s just the melody, you know??? it feels so infused with raw emotion. this one also kind of reminds me of the sex scene in part one AHAHAHA but that’s more due to how hazy and fragmented reader is <3

oh yeah, for sure! alcoholism is still substance abuse, and it is still addiction. oof this is another one that made me like, super emotional. just rly struck a chord!! i love everything you’ve pointed out here, and i also love how the chorus (in particular the lyrics those bottles are everywhere / and i can’t be everywhere / to keep them from you) reminds me so much of how reader feels towards keigo’s addiction for the majority of the series; she so desperately wishes to save him from himself, she so desperately wants to help, to be useful, but she truly cannot be everywhere cataloging all of his actions all of the time

"Instead of talking, you just go and fuck another guy behind my back," Yugi continued, walking across the room until he stood in front of Atem. "Look at me."

Atem didn't.

"Fucking—look. At. Me," He seethed.

Atem finally raised his head. The sight of Yugi before him crushed his soul. He had never seen him so upset before.

Yugi swallowed a sob and shook his head, "How can you even look at yourself? How can you still stand here, in front of me, after that? After what you did?"

"Yugi, please—"

"No," Yugi hissed. "You don't get to beg for mercy or apologize. You fucking deserve this. You deserve to be yelled at and called out on your bullshit."

Atem wasn't sure when he started crying. He only realized when regret flickered in Yugi's eyes. It was gone in an instant, though, and then he was glancing away. He sniffled and wiped his tears away with a groan.

"God... Sometimes, I think that we were a mistake."

"What?" Atem blurted, staring at Yugi in disbelief. He could feel his heart shattering into a million pieces from the statement. "Yugi, don't say that—"

Atem reached for him, but he missed entirely, Yugi flinching away and glaring at him, "Don't touch me."

"We—we weren't a mistake!" Atem insisted. He paused, then gulped, "Were we?"

"I think so," Yugi choked out. "I'm all for second chances and fixing mistakes, but..." He hiccupped, "I don't think this is a mistake you can come back from."

The shards of Atem's heart were being stomped under Yugi's shoe. They were now tiny bits buried in the carpet.

"You had your chance at redemption, but you fucked it up," Yugi spat, pointing an accusatory finger at him. "I'm not going to let you fuck up things between us again."

"So... That's it?" Atem weakly asked.

"That's it," Yugi shrugged nonchalantly, and that's when the tears stopped streaming down his cheeks. It was almost as if a switch had been flipped that instantly made him numb, turning off all of his emotions.

Atem had no words. He couldn't bring himself to fight for Yugi and to win him back. He had rightfully lost him by his own hand; by his own foolish decision. He deserved to be left behind with nothing. He didn't deserve Yugi.

They weren't meant to be.
