Really funny that Colin insists that Alice shouldn't give the computers a personality JUST MOMENTS AFTER he claimed that the computers are fucking with him and him specifically due to their hateful and capricious nature

spent 4 hours in the ER today with my dad due to a ✨slight✨ complication from his surgery yesterday but we’re home now and all is well.
And, if anyone is curious as to how long it takes to get over the intense trauma you have from the last time you were constantly in the er with a sick parent — apparently, 3.5 years is not it.
Only slept like four hours last night and now need to catch up on all the work I couldn’t do today. And need to plan/figure out dinner. But onward we go!

So Fit can canonically take screenshots and print them out without a separate camera. As far as I'm aware, we don't have an in character explanation for this so I'm pitching the printer arm theory . a printer in his arm. he has a camera and a printer in his metal arm. get yourself a man who doubles as a printer

hi! genuine question i am very new to tumblr (like. 2024 new) and i was wondering what did the other whumptober blog do that was ableist? again genuine question :D
The TLDR is described in this post linked in our pinned, we'd rather not make these events the focus of this blog continuously since we're genuinely just here to offer an alternative for people who feel uncomfortable with the OG Whumptober event now.
Summation:
They insisted that generative AI is an accessibility tool and thus disliking it is ableist. They called any person who questioned the blog for its positive stance towards generative AI an ableist and bad person.
At first they refused to acknowledge the difference between generative AI built from stolen content and genuine accessibility tools that might use machine learning (such as predictive text or grammar control), but then eventualy acknowledged they are different while still insisting that anything that can technically be used by a disabled person as a shortcut, no matter how harmful or how the tool was made, is accessibility and cannot be criticized.
Several disabled people (including myself) disagreed and tried to educate on this topic, pointing out among other things that generative AI has been hurting disabled artists/writers more than anybody, that disabled people are sick of being used as strawmen by tech bros who don't want to be criticized in their use of AI, and that even if generative AI was an accessibility tool (it's not), it being built on scraping content without consent and the harm it does would negate any positive impact it could have and accessibility tools shouldn't be built on the exploitation of others.
To which the mod in question (self-described as not disabled) said "Real disabled people would probably feel differently" and then continued to question the validity of every person involved in the conversation's disability, since obviously 'real disabled' people are pro AI.

Seeing Michael going so unhinged on Twitter the last few days and David giving the thousand-yard stare while out with Georgia tonight makes me wonder if they just really miss each other right now...
