When I hold a pencil, and make my marks on a page, the pencil is the tool, and the effort is mine.

Time, knowledge and practice, refine my marks in both form and function, and the edges of my mind stay sharp.

When I press AI to provide me marks, it takes the pencil from my hand and gives me facsimiles of others' efforts.

It erases my form and hands me guesses and half-truths, expecting I should appreciate mine own impending ignorance.

In a degree where English Literature is one of my majors, they want us to use ai to write a poem.

Fortunately, we're only using it as a starting off point at best for our own poem, and then write an essay on how ours is better. Our lecturer hates it too so she's giving us more leniency than she ever would. But still!

And the AI part is only 3 marks.

Not going to lie, I think the worst thing you can do to your narrative is build up to something and then not deliver it. It just devalues the rest of your story and leaves people going, “Then what was even the point of introducing this???”

the thing is I do quite like individual stephen moffat episodes, I think they're good episodes. they get less good when you start to see patterns of writing and how he has a tendency of beating a dead horse + ongoing sexism which may be missed in one episode, but becomes very clear through repetition, but if one considers them as one-offs they're Neat bits of writing. it's when he tries to make it longform that it all falls to pieces for me and reverberates back. his lore is a mess and consequently so are his characters if one spends more than an episode or two with them.

It’s interesting that Absolute Being is a literal god not bound by rules or limitations.

But then all that untamed divinity and power resides in fragile human body.

Jinchul, after completely embracing his predicament and becoming a true successor to AB, in theory can do everything AB was capable of.

The only issue is that his body isn’t built for such things. So pretty much the more stuff he does/makes with his power fucks up with universe’s ‘laws’ and entire existence the more taxing it is on him mentally and physically.

There’s literally several instances Jinchul was ready to do something really serious that could’ve almost if not completely killed him and Jinwoo literally needed to restrain him while unholy screeching inside because nO CHIEF WOO YOU’RE NOT SACRIFICING YOURSELF TODAY NOT LIKE THAT—

/Jinwoo and remains of Ashborn in him literally yelling inside, Ashborn is literally an inner indicator when Jinchul is about to cast something beyond what his human body can take and Jinwoo just instantly nyooms here because no, he’s definitely not doing this on his watch
