My advice for the TOK essay:
Please stick to deadlines
Don't worry about how trash the first ever draft seems to be. My own first draft was 900 words - way less than the actual word count (1500). You're supposed to get feedback on this draft anyway so you can improve it further.
Select a question you know. If you're given a question like I was, look at ALL the key words carefully. Your supervisor, if they're good, are supposed to explain what these questions mean in class.
Ask your teacher for help. Only looking at the exemplars for the essay won't help you because the good essays are difficult to understand and full of jargon.
Most importantly:
You will be required to use 2 examples of events relating to two areas of knowledge (most often). Build your essays around your examples.
Don't describe the example in too much detail, but you should analyse it and relate it to the question.

my ib tips (as a ib year 1 survivor)
my subjects (for reference):
HL: Chemistry, Biology, Maths AA
SL: English A, Czech A, History
Do your research the summer before year 1, find out what unis want and adjust your subjects accordingly (this mainly applies to HL AA, but a lot of engineering programs will want chemistry along with physics).
Contradiction to my last point, but go off of subjects you're at least confident in, and that you enjoy (i.e. if you suck at physics, don't take it, even if you want to do something physics related, it'll just be hellish)
Don't let what you think you want to do in the future limit your choices. Sure, it's good to keep it in mind, but people change, so it is more important to take subjects you want to study rather than what you need for a career you think you want.
Start thinking about your EE early, and try to talk to your subject teacher (there is a large chance they will be your supervisor, and if not, it's still good to get an idea of what is expected of you).
SPACE.OUT.YOUR.IAS!!! My school does this for us, but it's better to do your ias during your first year and one at a time rather than cramming them all in year 2.
Get as much feedback from your teachers as you can!! It can be hard to hear critiques of your work, but trust me, it'll help you a lot in the long run.
Continue with your extracurriculars, I know a lot of people will quit or limit their ECs during the IB, but imo, there's nothing worse you can do. ECs keep you grounded and help you focus on stuff that isn't the ib.
Don't be afraid to switch subjects/levels, if you finf out something isn't working for you, it's always easier to switch than to tough it out, trust me, your future self will thank you!
Don't take it too seriously, sure, it determines your future, but you also need to chill the hell out, because the only person your stress is hurting is you.
The IB is only as hard as you make it!
Good luck! Feel free to ask me anything in the submission box on my profile!

ALL BRAINY ANIMALS Have POKA: Practice Of Knowledge Acquisition. Humans Also Have COKA, Culture of Knowledge Acquisition, A Mixed Blessing!
POKA, Practice Of Knowledge Acquisition, PERSONNALY EVOLVED NEUROBIOLOGY WHERE COKA, Culture Of Knowledge Acquisition, PLAYS A HUGE ROLE Brains have evolved, in all animals, to understand physics, and act accordingly. This statement will surprise those whose erroneous culture has imprinted into them that the scientific method was invented recently by the US plutocratic center Harvard…

Mastering IB Theory of Knowledge with Expert TOK Tutors
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course is more than just a subject; it's a journey into how knowledge is formed, processed, and interpreted. For students aiming to excel in TOK, having the right tutor can make all the difference. At TYCHR, we believe in guiding students to not just complete their TOK assessments but truly engage with the subject.

What is IB TOK?
Theory of Knowledge is one of the three core components of the IB Diploma Programme, designed to challenge students to reflect on the nature of knowledge and the process of knowing. Unlike traditional academic subjects, TOK encourages learners to think critically about how knowledge is constructed and how it varies across disciplines and cultures.
TOK Assessment Components
TOK is evaluated in two parts:
The Exhibition – Students select one IA prompt and choose three objects that represent their understanding of the prompt. They must then provide a 950-word commentary linking each object to real-world contexts and explaining how they relate to the prompt.
The Essay – A 1600-word paper written on one of six titles released by the IB. This essay requires deep critical thinking, the ability to present and counter arguments, and a clear link between the knowledge question and real-life examples.
Both components are rigorous and require a deep understanding of not just TOK concepts but also how to communicate insights effectively.

Pick the Right Prompt: Whether it's for the exhibition or essay, a well-chosen prompt can frame your thinking effectively.
Student-Centric Approach
TOK is about exploration, not just evaluation. At TYCHR, we respect each student’s individuality and guide them in developing their unique voice. Our tutors don’t impose answers—they stimulate inquiry, helping students discover their own.
