i have this friend c: i call her my ladyfriend, bc she's in her early 50s (!!) and it's the first time i am friends w someone much older than me. i love her v much and well, i think she's imprinted on me or smth. she's spent months rearranging her place and thru every step, she's been thinking abt ways i could be comfortable around her house. she knows i have v little personal space at home (i guess i complain a lot abt that, oopsies!) and she wants her apartment to be somewhere i can be to have alone time or get more stuff for crafting.

well, she's going on a trip later this week and she's offering me a copy of her key so i can come in and out as i want, even cook and bathe and sleep in if i want. and frankly i'd be down, just to see what it's like to live on my own for a bit.

i told my sister and she instantly refused. "you can't just go to someone else's place," she said. which. well. i am not /just/ going. i was given explicit and enthusiastic permission, that's different. i didn't expect my sister to agree, but i wasn't ready for how um distrustful she seemed? "why would you go?" bc i wanna. "for how long?" one night bc that is what my schedule allows. if not probably two. "why would she offer that?" idk, bc she wants to??? i also know my mom will have the same reaction but bigger and while one part of me understands, the other just can't help but wonder, "well, what's the big fkg deal?"

i have a trustworthy nature and good manners, and no one's ever regretted letting me into their home while they were absent. once at the end of a work shift i started feeling rly weak and my friend allowed me to go to his apartment to sleep it off. ykno what i did? i got in, cleaned up his desk, swept the floor and i slept on the couch til he got back from closing the store. i'm a fkg angel.

but i know it has little to do w "why would somebody let /me/ into their home" and more w "why would /she/ let me into her home" and even "why would /anyone/ let /anybody/ into their home."

...so you've never been close enough w anyone that they'll give you their keys so you can crash at theirs for a day or two? that's ok. what's that gotta do w my friend and i. this is our friendship, we do it our way. and if she's cool w it and i'm cool w it too then we're cool w it. what's it to you? and i think this mentality should apply to more things in life.

I stiiiiill feel like we don't talk about this enough honestly.

Take it from a guy who's tried.

He could've chosen just about any other dimension. This obsession with Earth has proven time and time again to end in failure. It was dangerous. Reckless. A risk that, when you think about it on a multiversal scale, doesn't seem all too worthwhile if a party is the only thing he wants.

What is it about Earth that is so important that he would be willing to risk everything on taking it specifically? Literally everything, by the way. If he was scared of the Edge of Reality swallowing him up, he could've just left. If he just wanted to keep the Nightmare Realm/Dimension 0 around, he could've merged it with any other dimension - there are plenty of other dimensions with beings perfectly capable of building rift-inducing totally normal dimensional portals for him. But no: He sticks around his decaying realm for as long as he possibly can because he needs Earth in particular for some reason.

You can't undo the past... unless you want to thaw a giant baby out of a glacier.

Speaking of giant babies in glaciers... there happens to be only one Time Giant left. One singular being who controls time. One singular being who can create and distribute Time Wishes. Time Wishes, which could change the past paradox-free.

What a strange coincidence, then, that this last Time Giant resides here. On this specific Earth. This specific Earth, this specific dimension that Bill is so desperate to get his hands on.

A chatter in Bad’s stream expressed difficulties reading some egg signs, like pomme’s red one, so he immediately went to see how he could customize the qsmp texture pack and boost contrast. with some help by richas’ artistic abilities, pomme’s signs are now a gorgeous deep wine red color (like a true french) and personalized with pixel art leaves/vines :D

Bad and Ricardão are planning to work together and make accessible + personalized sign textures for every egg, and provide it to the qsmp team to officially implement in the game!!! 🫶 here’s their brainstorming:

i feel like. the more i like and care about something. the less i am capable of watching video essays about it. game i never heard of and don't intend to ever play? sure i'll watch 8hrs discussing it's flaws.

rewatching boom and i love being reminded how much of a pathetic creature boom tails is. dude makes a mistake, sonic tries to defend him, and he just goes “no sonic theyre right i fucked everything up and i’m the worst person on this entire island…” without hesitation then either just fixes the issue or comes up with the most convoluted shit possible that solves nothing

Imagine getting angry at Fellow for his comments? At first you could handle it: you’re used to the insults, the breaking of facades, threats to your life, but what really ticked you off? When he told you that you would never understand being poor and living off the graces of others. Now that? Had you ticked off.

But what can you do? You and the other three were slowly becoming puppets and even if you did get free of this spell, you wouldn’t be able to take Fellow or his puppets down.

Then adding on the fact of breaking the spell…Professor Crewel did say that True Love Kiss is a tried and true method…and your boyfriend is right there.

How does it feel knowing Glitch is willing to give millions in free government money to already-successful Hollywood bigshots like Dana Terrace (who got off pretty easy compared to all the animators who lost their homes and had their art erased) yet couldn't spare a single penny for a small artist like you with extremely modest goals?

It feels great knowing that Glitch is extending a hand towards showrunners in a time when the animation industry has been struggling. With tax write offs, cancellations and shows being outright removed from streaming services, I’m so glad to know there’s a company who’s wanting to try their hand at and give industry showrunners a chance.

I don’t know what world you live in where animated showrunners are considered “successful Hollywood bigshots” or given millions in free government money, but it sounds a hell of a lot better than showrunners being forced to live paycheck to paycheck because— surprise!— being a showrunner in television animation does not pay as well as you think it does, and in itself is hardly comparable to celebrities who live amongst Hollywood. Even in some cases, those celebrities don’t make as much as they should despite their long spanning careers, experience or what have you.

Glitch does not owe me anything. I’m just honored they took the time out of their day to promote my crowdfund, promote Lumi in their Glitch Inn video and host an entire event shouting out other indie productions.

I’m not looking to be a charity case. I don’t even consider myself modest, considering the goals I had ended up being bigger than I thought them to be; though it ended up working out in the end. I’ve still got a pilot coming out, and I’m damn proud of that fact. I’m not looking to be pitied because a crowdfund didn’t work out. I tried, I failed, I learned from it, that’s all there is to it— and I’m happy that Glitch was there to give their support, anyway.
