Kastro Daskalió

A visit to Kastro Daskalió will be a visit to remember! This is a build made for my Early Civilization save, but can easily be adapted to more modern times if you are not stuck in the past like me 😁.

The shape was inspired by the pyramid shaped ancient Daskalió, a small islet west of Keros in Greece. It's has really fascinating history, going back almost 5000 years, and the archaeologists are still excavating. Read more here.

I built this on the Chieftain's Villa lot in Sulani, but you can place it wherever you want. It's CC heavy, and will not look good without it. As always I've included a list with links for all items used.

The Baldwin Residence

The lot I used for the Baldwin's home is this lot from my gallery (ID: QuaylinSims). It is listed as a museum, and if you wish to use it as a house, it may require some small edits, most notably removing velvet ropes and some signs. Hello! I'm new to your blog but i absolutely love your portraits. Sorry if you get this question a lot but where do you find most of you historical cc? I've been struggling a bit to find some new stuff.

Oh my gosh-- I don’t often get asks, so I haven’t been in my inbox for some time-- but I didn’t notice this until now! I’m so sorry, Anon!! I haven’t received an ask notif in ages!! I’m so sorry! Omfg, fucking Tumblr...

Anyway, that’s an excellent question! I find a lot of really good stuff from a variety of places since there are so many great creators out there.

First and foremost, someone recently started a blog called @sims4historicalhq and I highly recommend perusing the lists they have there!! Very good resource.

Pinterest is REALLY good, for starters. Sometimes people don’t always link the direct blog post, which can be maddening, and you should always be careful where you click--a lot of Pins link to $imsD0m which is actively making money off other people’s blog links and downloads (not getting into that mess today tho). I actually have a Pin board here with a ton of Pinterest finds.

I’ve also used the following blogs, and when I find something interesting, I just head to the source! 

simshistoricalfinds, historical-simmer, simfreaks-historical-cc, ts4history, historicsims4, maxismatchccworld, sssvitlans, historychallengecc, historicalsimslife

You may also end up finding blogs dedicated to specific eras and regions, like:

ribbonsrococo, ribbonsregency, ribbonsmedieval, thesims4versaillescollection, ts4ccmedieval, thesims4middleeastsouthasia, regencysims4, thesims4medievalfinds, 

Of course, and I mean this without hostility: Google is your friend! Sometimes you just have to tweak your search criteria a bit. For example: My searches tend to be something like...

“sims 4 regency cc” or “sims 4 18th century clothing” --and then I’ll search for sites, but also head over to the Google Image tab and search visually, since that might actually be faster than slogging through a list of blogs.

Think of this as a starting point where your sim spawns close by in the forest or something and the tavern owner is the tutorial NPC to help you settle in your life here in this isekai fantasy sim world you never heard of before. Living my best 18th Century Life

Grand Salon Wall Set

I was already working on this set when son999999 showed screenshots of similar panels on @felixandresims‘ Patreon Community page. However, mine have different panels at the base of them, which I created using sections of the main panels that I edited so I thought I would carry on with mine. They have 3 swatches, Light Brown, Dark Brown and White and come in all 3 wall heights. They are best used in conjunction with Felixandre’s Trianon Manger Walls shown in the last screenshot.
