Sonic Surge Issue 04/2025 - Exclusive birthday interview edition

Did I make a whole new appearance with custom tattoos, new bandana, edited hair and beard and everything just for his birthday? Maybe, because I am one of those people that celebrate the heck out of fictional characters' birthdays xD And I will forever love that he's only 5 years older than me XD

But yes, I got one more thing planned with this appearance, because if it looks familiar, it's because I took a ton of inspo from the little pic on his netsite in game XD Only the neck cyberware is missing (but I have headcanons for that) and I'd like to try and see if I can give that to him somewhere down the line too to finalize the look :D But even so, this was fun, both from the modding and the VP stance! Making something a little more elaborate VP wise again, which I've really missed, and trying something new (editing vanilla hair) when it comes to modding! I mean, it is basically his 2077 hairstyle, but I tried making it a little bit messier xD I like how it turned out, even if it's not a huge difference, but the different color and the bandana help selling it I think uwu

ANYWAY I also have a part two and three planned for this so stay tuned XDD

vel clearly being anxious and waiting and needing cinta to be the first one to make the move -> very much to me would be a mirror of the first time they did this, in accordance with faye's answer to that one question of who'd admit their feelings first (i could make a whole other post about this aspect of it. it may or may not be already written?)

cinta maybe still worried and taking it slow but vel leaning in to give permission even though she's not going to go first

cinta finally going for it and vel's hand immediately going to her face as well

a kiss! a brief break away. another kiss! all soft and careful and devastating to me personally. like how are they able to fit this much yearning into an actual kiss

after another tiny break they're all in on the third one. vel opens her eyes for the tiniest peek to check and then fully pulls cinta in closer to her like she's been starving for years. oh wait, she has!

cinta finally pulling back again but the forehead connection remains and the hand stays on vel's face, she is not letting her get away!!! and vel is still hungry lol but cinta.....cinta smiles through all the heavy feelings and just rubs her thumb along vel's cheek and for one absolutely perfect moment in time, everything is exactly how it should be

and nothing bad happened to them ever again yaaaayyyy!!!!

Being a Toriel-fan post chapter 4 is suffering.

It's like the whole "akshually, it was Toriel's fault all these kids died" discourse from the Undertale days, except somehow worse.

Look, is DT Toriel perfect?

Heck no. She doesn't pay nearly enough attention to Kris and there's many signs that she subconsciously or otherwise favored Asriel over them.

But the sheer amount of vitriol I've seen the fandom fling at her after the Jitterbug scene is kind of ridiculous.

Toriel was having a fun evening with a friend after a shitty day where her stalker humiliated her in front of her church and people are calling her an alcoholic and a bad parent and whatnot.

Funnily enough I don't see nearly as much criticism towards Asgore's behavior, even though it's high-key creepy.

Waiting in the bushes for your ex to come out of church and then jumping and lovebombing her isn't normal. Using your kid to bring your ex presents you know she doesn't want and is uncomfortable with isn't normal. Intentionally sabotaging your ex's relationship with another man and talking shit about her and her feelings for him behind her back isn't normal.

Both Dreemurr parents aren't handling the divorce well, but I'd say Asgore is the reason why it's still so ugly.

Y'all are, as always, way too eager to put all the blame for a bad situation on a female character while completely ignoring a male character's faults.
