on the topic of "what did students do before chatgpt?"- sometimes we just had to deal with the consequences of our actions
most of the time I could do up a quick paper and get a good grade on it. I learned to be very good at bullshitting in high school and in university. so yeah, most of the time, I could whip up an essay based on nothing but skimmed pages and spark notes, and bring in a good grade, and everything was fine. but that wasn't always the case
sometimes, I got a bad mark. sometimes, my papers were half-assed and slopped together, and it showed, and they got the marks they deserved. sometimes things weren't handed in at all. sometimes I failed the test. sometimes I just had to take the 0, as the consequence of not doing the work. that happened, too
its important to acknowledge that. because I would still rather take the bad mark, even the failure, even the 0, than use chatgpt or some other generative ai to do my work for me. work done myself, even half-assed and messy and incomplete work, is still better work than anything these plagiarism machines could produce. I would even say the 0 is better, because at least I owned up to whatever it was that made that assignment not go in, rather than use chatgpt and get a 0 anyways for plagiarism
I still learned things from those papers and assignments I turned in that were dogshit. if nothing else, I learned how to be really good at bullshitting a point. I learned how to write academically. I learned how to read professors and gauge what they wanted and liked in a paper. I learned about the subject matter in cram sessions. I learned how to pull meaning from very little. and if I didnt do the work and got a 0, then I learned that my actions had consequences and I would have to deal with them
im all for bringing up how before we had chatgpt we had to learn to bullshit and make something out of nothing, how we had to learn how to lie to teachers, how to sympathize our way to extensions and such. but I think its also important to bring up that sometimes you just had to eat the bad mark you got for a half-assed incomplete essay. sometimes you had to fail. and it sucks, but its a lesson in and of itself that is necessary to learn both in education and just in life in general. failure is part of education, its part of life, and you need to fail sometimes. its where you'll do your best learning. ive stood by that for years, especially now as someone who works in education
so, yeah, tell the students nowadays how we got by without chatgpt and all the things we did to rush out papers, to pull all-nighters, to get our teachers to sympathize with us and help us even when we didnt need it so that we could get a couple extra days. but also tell them that sometimes we just had to deal with the consequences of our actions, and it sucked, but we did it. tell them about the bad marks and the zeroes, and make them ok with getting those marks themselves. make them ok with failure. thats an important step in fighting off generative ai in academics- making students ok with failure, treating it like the inevitable and necessary thing it is, rather than acting like one failed paper or one 0 on a test will ruin their lives
#this coming from someone with a deep-rooted fear of failure#I dont see it get brought up as much with these conversations around chatgpt in academics#and I think it needs to be at the centre#students need to know its ok to get a bad mark and its ok to fail#failure needs to be an option that doesnt completely destroy them#otherwise chatgpt and generative ai are just too good to be true#why bother learning to bullshit an essay when you can have ai write one that looks nicer#why bother learning to lie to a teacher when ai can write the assignment in minutes#why bother even asking for an extension when you can have it done on the bus on the way to school#telling students what we used to do before chatgpt is valuable yes#but why should they bother doing all of it when chatgpt is so much easier?#especially when the threat of failure is usually massive!#my academic anxiety didnt come from nowhere- it was ingrained to me for years by family and the education system alike#students are taught like one bad mark will ruin their academic career#with that kind of pressure- is it any surprise they turn to generative ai?#im not saying its a good thing theyre doing but man#I get it#they need to be told its ok to fail they need to be supported in failure they need to be allowed to fail and to grow from it#failure is necessary its inevitable and its good for growth

what if i dont even have a condition and its just more american propaganda floated by the CIA to try to keep asian americans out of college (not asians cuz international tuition go brrrr)
they tried with race policy and soft propaganda in high impact cities.
i wouldnt put it past them.
#my favorite pastime is assuming everything is government propaganda made to destroy me#its pretty fun#nah but like. ive been a student. ive been an aide at title 1 schools. my mom works in title 1 schools too#theres something going on#i had a class of 8th graders and i was running an intro to stem careers class for a month#these bitches cant do long addition. like. addition with carry overs#about 50% can. and about 10% can do long subtraction#mind you this school gets top tier funding. they have more money in the school and teachers and resources than i could ever dream of#thats why i got hired that time (post covid but very early)#covid was only what? 2 yrs? this is a compounding problem since at least 4th grade. 3rd even.#the teacher that dropped them off said they dont know fractions or advanced math. and i was like..... fractions? advanced? ok.........#but they cant add.#my mom was an english teacher at that time. holyyyyyyyyyy shit. her kids in 6th grade did not know phonics. PHONICS!!!! THEY CANT READ#tell me this isnt because of the government. something has been brutally molested and then silenced#all this money. all these teachers. all this support staff. and in 6-8 years they are not at 3rd grade standard.#and its not just this school. its all of them.#teachers and staff are actively punished for giving homework. giving classwork. calling on kids in class to solve a guided problem.#something something humiliation. getting 0s. giving 0s against policy.#mf *I* was punished for trying to teach these kids. tf they doing in a stem careers class if they cant read or write????#you need basic literacy to read a textbook you know that? help me help them get to highschool.#youve set them up and theyre going to fail and you did this#i saw this in 5 different schools. this HAS to be the government. i cant imagine all districts admin is evil like this#i shit you not my mom has been told our job is to babysit the kids and not teach them#i get that. i get that for impacted communities you want them to come to school first.#BUT THEY CANT READ. THEY CANNOT READ!! WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO GRADE THEM! THEY'RE FUNCTIONALLY ILLITERATE#THEYRE 14 YEARS OLD AND CANNOT READ#this didnt used to happen when i was young btw. this wasnt a thing when i was in school#this is strictly after covid.#when i was young. title 1 was struggling and behind grade level. by like a grade or 2 max. thats 5+ now. this is the government.#the kids are 5+ years behind. have no conflict resolution skills. and are never taught how to behave in public. the fuck is going on

Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen x reader on her period
Summary: Feyd doesn’t like anyone keeping him from his wife’s side, especially when she’s in pain.
*Based on an anon ask. Whoever that was, I hope this makes it to you :)*
Notes/Warnings: the subject is reader’s period; period pain; naive Feyd; threatening and aggressive Feyd; soft Feyd; Feyd hates everyone but his wife; allusion to period sex but no actual smut, mention of pregnancy.
Words: 1150
Feyd-Rautha Masterlist
“Get out of my way!” he snaps from the other side of the bedroom door, and you swell with guilt as you imagine your handmaid shivering like an unprotected baby critter. Which, in Giedi Prime, is exactly what she is.
She’s your critter that, at your request three weeks ago, Feyd agreed to have accompany you from your home planet following the wedding. You wanted something familiar and comfortable within reach and told him her presence would support you in adapting to your new life as his wife.
At the time, you took his compliance as a promising sign. He didn’t particularly care for the people of Caladan, but he cared for you enough to set aside his distaste for an additional outsider in his palace. But that distaste never fails to return tenfold whenever the Caladanian traditions and practices that your handmaid refuses to let go of get in Feyd’s way.
“Move!” you hear in that menacing tone.
You want to rush to her defense before things get out of hand, but you can’t so much as shift on the bed without your body aching.
“M-My Lord,” Nadya stutters. “It’s not proper to see my Lady in her condition.”
A groan rips from your throat from more than just the pain in your abdomen. You’ve tried to explain to her that the Harkonnens do not abide by the same parameters of modesty that your people do, but she’s not nearly as open-minded when it comes to accepting a different lifestyle. However, she needs to shut her mouth and let him pass. There are much worse things than your husband witnessing you in the throes of monthly bleeding.
Feyd practically growls, and then you hear the scrape of a metal knife unsheathing and a light feminine gasp.
“I have not killed you solely because she requested it of me,” he says. “But if you refuse to let me see my wife, then I have no reason to continue my generosity and you will be offered to my harpies for their nighttime meal.”
Fuck. You know he’ll do it. Your husband is an ‘ask for forgiveness, not permission’ kind of man, and the fact that his harpies have been eyeing your handmaid for a while only encourages his mind’s reasoning.
Reaching toward your nightstand, your fingers wrap around the handle of the little service bell you were given and give it a shake. A moment later, the door opens a crack.
“My Lady,” your handmaid says in response to your call. She attempts to slip her body through a narrow opening between the door and its frame to prevent your husband’s entry, but Feyd shoves her aside at the first opportunity and rushes inside the room.
His brow furrows at the sight of your body curled into a ball. “My love…” he mutters, racing to your side and kneeling by the bed. He takes your hand and weaves your fingers together, his worried gaze raking over your form. “What happened? What is this?”
“My Lady, I tried to stop–”
“Quiet!” Feyd snaps, shooting your handmaid a glare. “I’ll still gut you!”
Your fingers squeeze his to draw his attention back to you. “Go, Nadya. It’s ok,” you tell her. “My husband can take care of me.”
Feyd lips curl upward slightly, but his anxiety over your current state blocks a full-fledged smile from forming. His other hand raises to cup your cheek and you hum under his soft touch.
In the corner of your eye, you can see Nadya hesitate. The frown on her face is prominent enough to be detected without your gaze directly upon her. But her agitation must cease. She has to learn and conform if she values her life. There is only so much you can do to protect her, and if Feyd reaches the breaking point of his willingness to allow opposition within his own marriage—especially due to someone who is neither you nor him—it’s unlikely you’ll be able to sneak her onto a ship and transport her back to Caladan before she is executed.
You’ll have another discussion with her—the fourth, you think—once your body decides to end its self-punishment; assuming she survives that long. For the moment, at least, she has accepted your instruction and left you alone with your husband.
“You’re hurting,” Feyd says once Nadya is gone. “How do I stop it?”
“It’ll stop in a couple of days.”
“Days?” he echoes, offended at the information. “I want it to stop now!”
You sigh, placing your hand atop the one holding your cheek. “That would be nice, but that's not how it works,” you tell him. A pang of pain stabs your stomach and you moan.
“How what works?” he rushes out.
“My monthly–”
You pause at the curious expression on his face, and you realize he has no idea what you're talking about. You thought it was obvious what was wrong with you. You thought he understood. But then you remember he has lived a life with no mother, no sisters, no female relatives. There was no one to explain to him the unfair complexities of being a woman. And the Baron certainly wouldn’t have bothered. The way that man-beast mentally operates teaches that women are good for producing heirs, and in that respect, all Feyd would have needed to learn is how to stick his hard cock between a woman’s legs. To your appreciation, he does that quite well, but still, it’s surprising as much as unsurprising that your husband is so naive.
Before you can expand your answer, Feyd says, “I’m not letting this happen ever again.”
You chuckle. “It’s monthly, my love, and I’m afraid it only doesn’t happen if I’m pregnant.”
“Then I’ll make you pregnant,” he responds with an air of great determination. “And I’ll keep you that way.”
You’re instantly obsessed with the thought; perhaps too much considering you’ve known the man for two months and have been married to him for significantly less, but you do love him. And being filled with his baby creates an image that swirls a fire in your belly to combat some of the deep ache.
You grin but it lasts only a second before your teeth are forced to clench, eyelids pinching shut at another wave of agony.
“I hate this,” Feyd says, brushing your hair back from your face.
Once you ride out the wave, your eyes open to meet his. “You know,” you start, your breath heavy. “I’ve heard rumors from other women back home about something that helps with the pain.” Feyd’s features eagerly come to life. “It’s a bit messy, though.”
“Whatever it is, my love, I’ll do it.”
“Ok,” you say, a lazy smile curving your lips. “Take off your clothes.”
Feyd’s eyes widen at the request. And then he smirks.

Wait actually can we talk about Leaflings real fast. Because. What the actual fuck.
Also sorry if I curse a lot more here than usual but like 90% of my genuine reactions to this topic is "what the FUCK" so uhh get used to it I guess.
Huge thanks to @saihahas for helping me with some image transcripts as well.
Major story spoilers below you have been warned. Ok let's go.
So you're able to just rise from the dead in pikmin 4. No, seriously. You can do that.
At the end of Olimar's side story we get this scene and associated line:
[Image transcript: White text on a black screen that says "But at that very moment, my life support system failed" END TRANSCRIPT]
Like. He died. His life support system failed. He DIED. And moments later, he was revived as a leafling. He died and came back from the dead. Like, what the fuck????
It even fixed up his injuries he got prior to becoming a leafling. Just a full on revival.

Image transcript (one leads into the other naturally)
Collin: By the by, Olimar, is there anything you remember from right before or after you became a leafling? Any additional details?
Olimar: Not particularly. It didn't feel bad or anything like that. In fact, it was quite revitalizing.
Olimar: My chronically stiff shoulders and all the injuries I'd sustained during my explorations healed immediately.
Yonny: Hmm... Perhaps leafification has highly restorative effects...
Yonny: This is definitely something worth looking into, eheheh. END OF TRANSCRIPT.
Now we don't know if everyone who was a leafling had to die before hand, though there is a common thread that they were at least unconscious... And had just escaped deadly situations... I think Olimar found them moments before they died and, not knowing any other way to save them, leafed them as well. Something they bear no ill will towards him for - in fact, they're thankful for him.

Image transcript:
Jin: When I was leafified, I could not stop thinking about the art of Dandori. It was like an endless meditation.
Jin: A leafling appeared in front of me after the ship crashed and I had used up all of my flagging energy.
Jin: My intuition told me they were not a bad person. I also felt as though they were determined to achieve something
Jin: I am afraid I do not recall much of what happened after that, as I lost consciousness. END TRANSCRIPT.

Image transcript:
Corgwin: I was attacked by a creature, and right before I lost consciousness, I saw something overhead. It was a leafling
Corgwin: They had such sad eyes, but there was more going on in there. Their eyes were full of determination.
Corgwin: I have to believe there is a reason why they do what they do. Turning castaways into leaflings, I mean.
Corgwin: Your time is limited, so think it through! END TRANSCRIPT.

Image transcript:
Bernard: You need anything else?
Bernard: Even when Olimar was leafed out, he was still trying to RESCUE folks!
Bernard: And there I was with my head focused on nothing but Dandori stuff. HOO, he's one tough cookie!
Bernard: You need anything else? END TRANSCRIPT.
Ok Bernard's conversation doesn't add to the "he found them in deadly situations" point but it DOES show that all of his "victims" think highly of him for the fact that he had saved them and others. (Also, side note, Olimar had sad eyes... Poor bastard thought he was never going home to his wife and kids, was visibly depressed over this, and STILL was trying to save people. Olimar is like, genuinely such a good fucking person God damn.)
Now being a leafling is undead and comes with its own slew of problems. Namely, the fact Dandori takes over your brain (probably the pikmin survival instinct) and the fact you can no longer leave PNF-404. It's not even an air thing, it's not being on the planet that causes sickness, so not even spacesuits can fix it.
But then you're able to cure yourself of being a leafling. And just. Go back? To your normal life?????? Like nothing ever happened. You died and came back. What the fuck.
And to make that point worse. One of the key ingredients is Glow Sap. Which is produced by the Luminknolls. The only other thing the Luminknolls make is uh. Glow pikmin. Which.
“Although they've been named Glow Pikmin, it's not entirely clear whether or not this species is actually a type of Pikmin. These creatures possess the same fundamental behaviors of Pikmin, like carrying things, propagating, and fighting. They also share special characteristics, such as the leaf atop their head. Yet they do not spawn from an Onion but a Lumiknoll, and they are only active at night or underground. During the day, they revert into seeds and enter a resting state. What's even more surprising is that they exhibit no signs of life. When a Glow Pikmin "dies," if that word can even be used, it does not expire in the typical sense. Instead, it just becomes a form of light-or perhaps a photon-and returns to the Lumiknoll. Putting aside my "scientist" hat for a moment...it seems to me that this creature or entity may not be a living organism at all but some manner of spiritual substance.”

[Image Transcript: a screenshot of the Piklopedia showing the very end of the above quote. END TRANSCRIPT]
And just as some icing on the cake:

[Image transcript: Louie's piklopedia notes on the glow pikmin. All it says is "Doesn't smell alive." END TRANSCRIPT]
Cool they're fucking ghosts. Sorry I can't be convinced otherwise, they're clearly some sort of supernatural entity at MINIMUM. I just think spirit is most likely. They don't have to be the spirits of dead pikmin... Although... You can convert a Glow Pikmin into normal pikmin via a candy pop bud. I've done it before, I have no video of it but you can go and try it yourself if you'd like. And if they are spirits of pikmin then that means that we can also bring pikmin back from the dead. What the FUCK.
Anyways. I got side tracked sorry. My point was the Luminkolls make two things: Glow Sap and Glow Pikmin, which have similar names and similar appearances and. Are we using ghost juice to cure leaflings???? Which is used to reverse all negatives of being leafed. Which can be used to bring the dead back to life.
I don't know how to end this. I really really don't know how to end this. I just need someone else to scream about this with because it's so. It's so fucking WEIRD like what the hell. It's not enough that they may be humans, noooo, there's also undead creatures (excluding the mushroom guys those freaks have an explanation at the very least). This game is weird as hell but tbh I love it.

More of Yandere Valentino's trans darling reader. Like would he (reader) turn to Angel Dust for help?
This actually turned into a one shot that took on a life of its own. I hope that's ok
Yandere Valentino x FTM reader
THIS HOTEL IS MY ATLANTIS
Tw: toxic relationships, manipulation, descriptions of anxiety, abuse
I do not support or condone this type of behavior please get help if you are ever in this kind of relationship
You were so tired of living like this. You thought maybe this would be your entire afterlife. But then you heard that your friend and coworker Angel Dust moved to the hazbin hotel and that he is doing well. He shows up for shoots but then... he leaves. Oh, how wonderful that would be. You decide to ask Angel about this place. Valentino may be a bit more "attached" to you than Angel but if he didn’t do anything about Angel leaving then maybe you would also be able to get some distance from him.
You were hopeful and a bit desperate. So you took a huge risk and asked Angel Dust about the hotel. He told you it was run by the princess of hell and an overlord. A weird combo you thought but maybe they leveled each other out.
He also said the only form of payment is to stay out of trouble and they will let you stay. Or at the very least don't get caught. He winked as he said that. This place was apparently for rehabilitation and you weren't sure if you believed that was possible but you were willing do whatever it took to get away from Val. Even if it was only when you weren't working.
You went with Angel who introduced you to everyone there. Charlie was super nice, Vaggie was having some trust issues with you (which was fair considering its hell), and Alastor kinda creeped you out. Niffty was a ball of energy and Husk seemed kind of grumpy. You wondered why there was a bar in here but you didn't complain.
You didn't even go back to take your stuff. You just moved in on the spot. You contemplated not telling Valentino but you figured he'd be even more pissed if you moved and disapeared without telling him. So you shot him a text. Then you quickly anxiously looked away from your phone.
Charlie was giving you a tour and you tried to listen to her and ignore the constant messages blowing up your phone. Finally the tour ended at your new room. Charlie insisted that it would be customized however you liked to maximize your comfort during your stay. You assured her that you wouldn't need much. She left you to your own devices and you took a deep breath before checking your phone
His messages switched between sweet and affectionate to angry and demanding. Back and forth. Up and down. From begging and sweet talking you to threatening and degrading you. He eventually told you that there was a shoot tonight at 8 and not to miss it. You were nervous about showing up so fresh after leaving but you didn't have a choice.
You made you're way there and you walked into the studio. To your surprise Vox was present. Val's body tensed up and his eye twitched when he saw you but Vox put an arm on his shoulder and he let go of his vice like grip on his chair and forced a smile. He welcomed you as if he wasn't mad. And you were so very grateful that Vox was there. Not that he cared about you or your safety he was probably just worried about their image. But nevertheless he kept Valentino in check for most of the night.
That was until he asked you to come into his office. Your body trembled but you tried to hide it. You followed him inside and didn't fail to notice Vox was no longer present. Surprisingly though he didn't attack you as soon as the door closed or screamed in your face. He remained calm as ever. Which terrified you more. He told you quite coldly that he felt betrayed. That he only ever looked out for your best interest. That he hoped you would reconsider. Only he could keep you safe. You were a mess without him. And he missed you.
You tried to keep the fear out of your voice and not let him manipulate you, which he had become an expert at. You told him you would think about it. You stalled for now. And he seemed to be content with letting you do so. After telling you he knew you'd make the right decision he claimed you were free to leave.
You thought that went surprisingly well but then you distinctly heard the sound of something shatter against a wall as soon as you were out the door
You returned to the hotel that night exhausted. Angel insisted you have a drink with him and you thought one drink wouldn't kill you. But one drink turned to 6 and 6 turned to you can't remember how many. In a drunken state you became emotional. Angel comforted you and you felt very close to him. So you told him something you've never told anybody. That you are and have always been a man. That you live in the closet out of fear of what Valentino will do.
Angel was actually really supportive and suggested you come out to the hotel. Charlie would make this a safe space for you and you can express yourself and your gender however you want. This sounded like heaven. You asked Angel if he would help you come out and he agreed. For once you had something to look forward to. Even if you couldn't be who you were in the studio. You had friends here.
When you woke up the next morning you were grateful for most of your memory remaining intact. Angel knocked on your door to walk with you to breakfast. He was really happy to hear that not only did you remember last night but you were still on board with his ideas. He told you that you guys would discuss it more in private and come up with the perfect plan to come out to the hotel
Even with Val blowing up you phone all breakfast you couldn't help but feel freer that you ever have. All you had to do was convince the psychopath who was obsessed with you to let you live here. Something Angel promised to help you with as well. Even if you couldn't be redeemed this hotel had given you something you lost a long time ago... hope

Tech and the Rebel
Tech x F!reader
Master list
This is a little Drabble. And sort of a reintroduction of me getting back into writing.. if this breaks canon or any timeline idc. Lmao I’m writing a story because I want to!
Tech was thankful his grappling hook didn’t snap.. but hitting the side of a rocky cliff edge wasn’t part of the plan. He had lost his helmet and goggles during the fall. When he finally came to there was a face looking down at him.
“Hello there.”
He was slightly startled and tried to reach for his blaster but he couldn’t really see anything
“Hey hey! It’s ok. I’m not gonna hurt you. You can’t see too well because there’s blood on your face..”
He still couldn’t say anything.. he couldn’t tell whether he was in shock or in too much pain. As this moment his genius brain seemed to fail him..
“Come on. I’ll help you..”
Whoever the person was, they lifted him up and placed his arm across their shoulders and carried him to their ship.
Once inside his face was cleaned, his wounds bandaged and his eyes blurry. He went to adjust his goggles.. but they weren’t there. He had forgotten they were lost during his fall
The person finally took of their snow coat and goggles.. it was a young lady with an odd emblem on her flight suit.. she told him her name.
“It’s nice to meet you..”
He finally spoke, still a little frazzled.
“It looks like you took a nasty fall there.. what’s your name?”
“My name is Tech.. I did fall.. out of a cart. My brothers and my sister were on it.”
“You were the ones in those carts. I saw the others run away towards a cliff side.”
“They were probably heading back to our ship” he tried to stand but failed.. “I need to get back to them. I don’t particularly trust any of them with driving it without my supervision. Well.. maybe Echo..”
She watched him talk and ramble on.. almost as if she wasn’t there. Like he was having a conversation with himself.
“Well.. they have probably already gone. I can take you back to my base. It’s small.. and there’s not much to it but it’ll be ok until you get better.”
Tech sighed.. he really didn’t have much a choice but to trust this person. He couldn’t walk or do anything for himself at the moment.
“Don’t worry.. I’m part of the Rebel Alliance.”
“Rebel Alliance?”
“Yeah.. we are trying to stop the empire! One small victory at a time.. sometimes anyways.”
He raised a brow at her confidence and bravery. She seems to think it could be easy to take the empire down. But he shook it off.
———
Some time later they had finally reached this mystery planet.
“This is Yavin 4. We’ve only got a small group of rebels and a few senators willing to support us but we will grow.. it’ll just take time.”
She helped Tech walk out of the ship and into the base.. he was placed on a small medical gurney.. not inside a medical room or even a medical bay.
“You act like you can’t see anything.. didn’t blood get in your eyes?”
“No. They did not. I am partially blind to put it simply. The goggles I had were lost during the fall.”
“Oh.. well that’s a bummer. Uh.. well we have other goggles here-“
“That’s all I need. I can simply recreate mine if you have to correct electronic parts”
She was a little taken back as he cut off her but she nodded.
“Yeah yeah. Just take what you need.”
Tech stopped himself before he started to ramble on..
“Thank you, I deeply appreciate you saving my life.”
“You’re welcome Tech..”
-_-_-_-
I KNOW I KNOW ITS SHORT! And also not.. my best work. But I really want to get back into writing and get those requests done too! I’m also glad to finally be back! THERE WILL BE A PART TWO TO THIS AS WELL DONT YOU WORRY

Dw, he won't touch you too much if you're not OK with it. He's a handsy person, but respects your boundaries. He just likes a hand on you to feel you, not in a sexual way but in a reassuring way. 'You're here, you're save, if you need me I'm right beside you' kinda way
@ that being said, he's super protective obviously. You two are dating sooo he needs to! Who knows who might steal you away?!
@ Definitely in love with your piercings, says the look really cool on you and stuff. Especially in love with your tounge piercing iykyk
@ imagine you two playing horror games together--damn he's gonna be scared shitless. He doesn't get scared too easily but definitely feels uncomfortable when you two play in the middle of the night in your creepy ass dorm. Especially with all those doll eyes watching you two-
@ more than 186271 times he said "can you at least cover them all up or...turn them around idk?" when you two are in your room lol
@ but he would also buy you some dw. Not his favorite hobby of yours but he supports you!

Michael's relationship with HPMA cast
Ok, more OC content and here's his relationship with other characters from the game (looong text warning):
Daniel: Michael and Daniel have depper connections, Michael likes to take care of Daniel while him tries to get more ingredients for his potions in the forbidden forest; Michael is so positive with Daniel and tries to cheer up. Daniel likes so much to spend time with Michael to the point to be more safe with mike more than ivy (on his words) because he feels that Michael understands him more that anybody else. When they're in danger, Michael helps Daniel to defeat the enemies while summoning plants and tree rots, Michael summons flowers to celebrate their victory, not mention that Michael feel in love with Daniel first.
Ivy: Michael and Ivy are sibling relationship dynamic, let's say that ivy is the younger sister who likes to have fun with her brother but also support him in thier worst moments, and mike is the older brother who wants to protect his sister from dangers but also be kind with (although these two aren't relatives at all)
Lottie: Lottie and Michael are the artistic duo dynamic to possibly win in art contests. When Lottie creates the most astonishing and colorful art, Michael complements it with brillant flowers and adding other nature elements, bringing to life. these two get on well, Michael helps Lottie a lot when she needs inspiration to paint and create beautiful art on her sketchbook.
Cassandra: Their relationship is kind complicated, Cassandra dislikes and hates Michael for being the best in herbology class, she became to start very jelaous and angry towards mike when teachers like neville or Mcgonagall chooses him instead of her and praising him, leaving a bitter Cassandra. After that, she started to hate her creations although Colby told her that her magical plants and roses are beutiful at its own, Cassandra ignored him and continue to improve more on her herbology skills and also hating on Michael. Michael tries to figure it out why she hates him and trying to get along with her but fails.
Robyn and Kevin: Robyn likes to spend time with michael because she thinks he's cool while kev tries to not get into much trouble when they go for adventures.
Fischer: Fischer gained so much hate towards Michael ever since they face each other. He couldn't understand how someone could remain cheerful and not take things seriously. As a result, Michael became Fischer's punching bag. Michael dislikes this behavior towards him, and he tries to avoid Fischer at all costs. However, Fischer always managed to find him.
Colby: Colby and michael had a stable relationship, Michael likes to adventure more in the forest and Colby tries to protecting him from dangers unknow creatures, after all that, these two likes to likes to spend more time each other and contemplate nature's magic, though they don't seen very ofter, they have at least communication and telling each other how was their day (there's a little story about how they meet by the way).
Abigail: When Abigail met Michael and defeat Renka, she became very loyal to him, while Michael developed some respect for her. The two are inseparable. Michael likes to play with her but also helping her when it's full moon, He even gift Abigail some herbs to calm her nervers and anxiety after a full transformation. He also asks her for some advice sometimes.
Elliot: Michael and Elliot hate each other. Elliot dislikes how Michael interferes in his plans, while Michael disapproves Elliot's realtionship with Daniel, so he tries to avoid him taking daniel to another part. Despite his disdain for Michael, Elliot discovers something about Michael which could help him on his plan.

hey , I think you may have saw the spoiler for the chapter 21 and to be honest I’m disappointed if that is how Sarada even realises her feeling towards Boruto like come on . She was supposed to be girls girl but now I have the feeling that she will drop everything and stares to attack sumire like with her other friends and worser she may actually end up with him as this shows to be such a fanservice bullshit . Ughhhhhhh
Eh I wouldnt go that far, I dont think shes gonna attack Sumire over it, she's either gonna apologize to Sumire and admit she likes Boruto too or shes gonna tell Sumire she doesnt like him and will be more supportive of her feelings from now on.
Either way it doesnt really matter tho cuz the damage to Sarada's character is already done, a confession or non confession isnt gonna change that, it'll only please BoruSara fans who'll finally have the confirmation they desperately craved because they couldnt stand only BoruSumi being semi canon, they'll take this as a win even though Boruto doesnt have to reciprocate, they dont care, as long as BoruSumi isnt the only semi canon one anymore.
That aside, Sarada's MS awakening and reawakening are both ass, neither one of them can be taken seriously because of how half assed both were handled.
Sarada awakens her MS simply from crying and worrying about Boruto, which is not how the MS awakens, it takes actual loss, the DEATH of a loved one, to trigger the MS awakening, but conveniently Sarada just bypassed that requirement and just got it from crying for daddy to save Boruto.
Thats strike one.
She reawakens her MS after Yodo is killed, a rando she hasnt had a single conversation with until now and even then they barely spoke cuz Yodo was being hot headed and impatient the entire time, but even Yodo dying didnt push her to reawaken her power, neither was her comrades getting bodied all around her, nah it wasnt until Yodo told her she has a secret power shes been holding back and that its ok to use it for just Boruto and not the greater good, THEN Sarada reawakens her MS.
Strike 2.
She concludes that to unleash her full power to be able to protect everyone and become Hokage, she needs to accept her feelings for Boruto.
Strike 3 she's out.
Keep in mind she found out her father is trapped in a tree, she knew her best friend Chocho was in active serious danger, her village was invaded not once but twice where ppl were dying and turning into trees, Sumire and Konohamaru were both getting bodied while protecting her, Mitsuki and Araya were giving their all attacking Ryu and getting critically wounded
And none of that, I repeat, NONE OF THAT pushed her to unleash her MS, not one of those things made her give her all, none of that gave her the push to go all out, apparently only being told that its ok to use her hidden power for just Boruto was the push she needed, to hell with everybody else.
Ppl fail to realize that her just saying she wants to be Hokage and protect everyone means nothing if we're shown her main motivation is Boruto, not the ppl she claims she wants to protect, she can say she wants to be Hokage like Naruto all she wants, but if she only gives af about Boruto and only wants to really fight for him then nobodies taking her seriously.
I get the feeling Ikemoto killing Yodo for Sarada's 'reawakening' MS was to make up for how he fked up her initial awakening, so he tried to 'correct' it with her reawakening by actually killing someone this time, and yet he STILL got it wrong because he killed someone who had zero relationship with Sarada for her death to make any real impact on her to justify an MS reawakening.
Theres alot I would change but lma just work with what Ikemoto gave us so bare with me.
What SHOULD have happened was Yodo and Araya should've been taken hostage while Mitsuki and Sarada were left standing, Ryu demands them to give intel on Boruto and they both refuse since they know its a trap, Mitsuki tries to give Sarada an opening to free Yodo and Araya but is impaled [Mitsuki wouldnt die as easily as Yodo since he has fast healing] and Mitsuki is the one who gives Sarada the speech.
Not the same speech tho, lets say Mitsuki says along the lines of referring back to chapter 69, when he asked her if ones true feelings are hard to tell.

Lets say he refers back to that, how he said that they are gonna have to get alot stronger if their going to take on powerful Otsutsuki and how Sarada hasnt really done that, how instead shes just been stagnant this whole time, wavering, unsure of herself, unaware of her own feelings and her own power.
He says he knows why it is he fights and wants to be strong, what hes fighting to protect, the thing that matters most to him is his sun, and then he poses the question to Sarada, why does SHE fight? for what reason does SHE want to be strong? what does it mean to be hokage for her? if she cant even answer that then how does she expect to be able to protect anyone.
Lets say Mitsuki takes it a bit further, lets just say he does, he brings up how she said that to the hokage, everyone in the village is family, and right now her 'family' needs her, she's the ONLY ONE who can help them now, so what is she gonna do?
Obviously all of this is on the fly but you get the gist, basically instead of some rando like Yodo being the push it was Mitsuki, and instead of him pushing her to only fight for Boruto, he pushes her to stop wavering and step up to the plate, to fill the Hokage role she says she wants to fill. Her seeing Mitsuki seemingly 'die' would make sense that it'd have a strong impact on her cuz thats her teammate, shes close with him and cares about him, so of course seeing him 'die' and his words of encouragement would have a way bigger impact than someone shes never once spoken to before now.
But unfortunately we cant have nice things like that, so instead we got what we got which doesnt make a danm bit of sense in the context that was laid out. Sarada has hands down the worst MS awakening and first use out of every single Uchiha before her, she made her clans biggest power up into a joke that only needs you to cry harder and just fight for a boy to unleash 🤦♀️ foh man.

I think quite frequently the people who work with the more higher needs autistic people mean well but generally don’t think about them existing in the wider world. Like once I was working with a client (16 yo) who would frequently play with his dick through his pants and get visibly hard. When I brought this behavior up the general consensus was ‘oh he’s not hurting anyone or anything, its just stimming, it’s fine!’ And like…yes he’s not hurting anyone but that doesn’t make it ok. Like yes it may be fine here in this setting when surrounded by people who know him but he does not only exist in this space. When his mom takes him with her to the grocery store, he cannot be engaging in this behavior. You’re failing to teach him when this is ok, which is either going to set him up for being on the sex offender list for touching himself in front of children or being confined to his home/away from public because you told him it was ok to do this whenever. So many people who work with this community do not think of mentally disabled people as a whole or as people in general who deserve thoughtful support.

*Spoilers for Mistborn and The Way of Kings*
Ok so I was complaining to my boyfriend about a thing I noticed in the Brandon Sanderson books I've read. I personally really have enjoyed a lot of his characters, plots, magic, and just his yapping centric writing style overall... but after finishing Mistborn I was thrown for a loop by some things and found out he's a Mormon. Now I can still enjoy his books and he really doesn't seem like a bad guy (supporting LGBTQ people so much helps) but knowing his background in a religious cult has always put me on edge.
Now I was explaining to my boyfriend my frustration at a habit he seems to have so far (this would be referring to mistborn era 1 and just The Way of Kings which I just finished). In Mistborn we saw Elend with a string desire to change tge kingdom to democracy and give the common people power. His ideals are presented as strong and ethical but then his plans fail and he has no recourse but to break with those ideals, take over in basically a dictatorship, and then he planned to eventually found a democracy after the crisis. We see a very similar situation play out with Dalinar by the end, deciding that instead of getting people to follow the codes by proving them better he will just force them to follow the codes, and Taravangian seems to be hinted at playing a similar role, killing innocents to potentially find the information he needs to save the world, albiet a bit more exaggerated in its evil nature.
In each of these cases, I found their reasoning to more or less make sense for their characters, especially Elend. But my issue is that they only really make sense within the specific contexts of the story... the context wholly thought up and written by Brandon. So the big issue for me is that Sanderson is indirectly (pretty directly actually) implying through both of these stories, that even the most ethical ideals should be ignored if you feel like its what is needed right now. And I noticed that in both situations, the main important part of context pushing this abandoning of their ideals, to some extent, is the quickly approaching end if the world. We see a crazy case of this in Dalinar who specifically argues for the importance of achieving your means the right way, but then gives up on what he sees as the right way because he doesn't think it will be fast enough. And its not like Dalinar has been shown to have made some horrible mistake (I guess I'll see more in the next book), but Elend certainly wasnt shown to have made the wrong choice.
And this is all important because I remembered that this felt very familiar. Because Mormons very heavily use their coming apocalypse to justify many of the things that they do to their own people and others. This is a huge thing in many religions, like guilting chritians into proseltizing by telling them that anyone they dont convert will die in the second coming or just cant make it to heaven.
I just think this is a very good reason to keep in mind the background and even unconsious messages authors may be sending because of their background, as stuff like this goes unseen quite a lot but the medicare for all king being the bad guy was really hammering it home for me that I needed to explore this a bit more 😂. And the interesting thing to me is that I still think that these characters are brilliant and well written (for the most part... looking at you end of mistborn Sazed 😑) but these stories arent being told in a vacuum and I just don't appreciate convincing people of how ethical stuff like democracy is but then being like, "even though its clearly the best option, sometimes we might just want to completely ignore that and do the really bad authoritarian option instead"

Mondays are tough, job hunting is a jungle but there is light around you
When you are unemployed and looking for a job, Mondays hit you harder. You were more relaxed over the weekend. They can't send you rejection emails over the weekend, and sending applications doesn't make much sense. However, on Monday, you have to get back into the circus, and with each passing week, you feel more and more nauseated.
It had been years since I last faced the job search world, and I wasn't prepared for this storm of information that hits you. Everyone gives advice, often contradicting each other, and you don't know which way to turn. It feels like no matter what you do, you'll do it wrong.
So you start to think it's your fault. Something is wrong with your CV, your profile, the cover letter you wrote, your name, your date of birth… you are wrong!
Looking for a job is one of the most dehumanizing processes I have ever faced. I'm not talking about the interviews, that's different, even though in the end, it's also a dance about who has prepared the best script, but rather the application and the rejection.
Due to these discouraging circumstances, I cried for three days in a row last week. Then I decided to do the right thing. Besides booking an appointment with a psychologist for this week, because I need all the mental support I can get, I visited a dear friend to cry a bit with her too.
And here, my wise friend helped me put things into perspective and gave me confidence. For this reason, I want to share with you some of the things that helped me the most:
Often, HR or those posting job ads have no idea what they want or what they're looking for. She experienced this firsthand at work; she was hired as an Art Director only to discover that even they had no idea what the role entailed. Similarly, when she was looking for a graphic designer, HR posted the job as Visual Designer, believing it would perform better on LinkedIn. Unfortunately, these are two different jobs, and she found herself having to reject numerous portfolios simply because they were Visual Designers, which paradoxically was what the ad asked for. A rejection can have a thousand reasons, some of which have nothing to do with your CV.
Go there and fail. Submit the application even if it's not a perfect match, go to the interview in Dutch even if you're not confident about your language level, it doesn't matter. Go and fail, failing doesn't mean being a failure, but gaining experience.
You don't know where your opportunity lies; hang in there, keep learning, and network as best as you can. All this anxiety and fear will dissolve one day when you finally see that job offer... that day will come!
It might take some time and its ok.
I am very lucky to be surrounded by people who believe in me and support me wholeheartedly. Whenever I ask them, whether it's my girlfriend or all my friends, the response is always: "You will find a job, we have no doubt."
Surround yourself with people who care about you and give you a lot of support, not with those who want to burden you with their worries or judgments (which is why I haven't told my parents).
It's a tough time, but I am truly blessed with my chosen family.

02x07 - Ringer
Ted sits with his girlfriend, Linda (played by Marian McLoughlin, a frequent guest star over the years, appearing in 10 episodes though this is her only appearance as Linda) in a traffic jam, nodding at the officers who pass on the way to a job just around the corner. He notices that the Chief Superintendent is in attendance so it must be something serious. Ted claims they might need him so he goes to see what's happening. Robin is back for his first appearance after being shot in Hostage.
A speeding car had its brakes fail, causing him to swerve to avoid a motorbike and hit a bus that went over onto its side. A motorbike tried to avoid hitting the bus and went under a lorry which screeched to a halt and had a car drive into it. There are lots of walking wounded, some serious casualties that need cutting out and at least 6 have passed away.
Taffy and others are in the bus helping tend to those trapped whilst also getting the walking wounded out of the vehicle. Yorkie updates Brownlow that the bus was carrying a group of elderly day trippers from South End. Bob suggests using a nearby school as a morgue until everyone is free and they've found a morgue to take the bodies.
A photographer is already taking pictures before being shooed away by officers. June is in the car that crashed into the lorry, supporting the passengers head and neck. A doctor suspects she has spinal injuries so she needs to stay as still as possible. The man she was with has died and is being kept out of her line of sight with June telling her that he's ok until she's freed and has gone to the hospital.
Taffy returns to the station to man the incident room with Tom, Mike and Reg (who is moaning that he's supposed to be on light duties because of his back and he worries that he's about to lose his compensation(!)
Linda drives Ted's car to a nearby safe space when the vehicles can move again and tells him she's going in to work by tube and warns him not to come home smelling of booze. Ted smiles roguishly. "You better have them off by the time I get home!" Abe is amazed that the old people on the coach are as calm as anything and aren't fussing. Ted reminds them they lived through The Blitz.
The school receptionist disapproves of the school being used as a temporary morgue, even though it's half term, but the headmaster has given permission so she has to open up to allow them. She tells Brownlow that it "better not be sending presidence!" He assures her they need to clear the scene as quickly as possible and that they'll be moving them to proper mortuaries as soon as they get space.
A Sergeant from the traffic division comes over to Bob and tells him that the driver who reported his brakes having failed was telling the truth but it is worse than that - he suspects the car is a a ringer and shows Bob where it has been joined.
June and the fire officers support the lady trapped in a car and gently carry her out of the wreckage with Bob, Jim and Yorkie helping keep her as still as possible. Yorkie is sent to the hospital to collect statements and - when she's at the hospital - tell the trapped lady that her husband has passed. Jim is sent to check the car for any personal belongings left by the couple and then to get it towed away.
Pete watches from the car as Viv comforts a mother whos son has passed in the RTA. Pete tells her that she should have just told her - bosh - and then left. He does promise to do the next one... I don't know if that's a good idea (!)
Roy is fuming about Ted being late, claiming being delayed by the accident isn't a good enough reason and that he'll move him to the 'Dream Factory' (Scotland Yard) if he does it again as it's the second time that week.
Pete goes to tell a woman that her mother has been killed in the accident. Viv reminds him to be diplomatic. Pete stops to remove his chewing gum before going inside... I suppose it's something! He enters a hairdressers and asks to speak to the woman in private. Pete can't tell her at first that her mother has died and tells her she's at the hospital... he then quietly tells her that he's sorry but she's dead.
Traffic looks at the car and confirms that it's a cut-and-shut and made up of three cars put together - poorly. The owner bought it from the local paper a couple of weeks previously. Roy tasks Ted with speaking to the man to see if he remembers where he got it from. He paid for it via cheque to a man called Mr Regan who delivered it to the house for him to look over. There's an address on the paperwork.
Yorkie sits at the bedside of the lady from the wreck that had to be cut free and he tries to comfort her and offers to contact family or friends for her. She then admits that the dead man is not her husband, he's her lover and there's a Mrs Simpson still to tell! Yorkie updates Bob who passes him to Robin for him to check up on the details for the real Mrs Simpson.
All the bodies at the school have been identified and removed from the school. Ted attends the address from the paperwork of the car to find it's a nightclub. The owner is standoffish and rude before Ted produces his warrant card which causes him to snap into being helpful. He tells him that Regan had a short let office upstairs and left two weeks ago. He imported and exported sports cars and the owner of the club bought one himself. Ted has to tell him that his car is a ringer after checking it over.
Uniform gather in the incident room to pool what they know. Tom Penny pounces in and catches some smoking and some about to light their cigarettes, fining them all 50p for smoking on a No Smoking Day. Jim later defaces a poster to warn the others and places it beside the No Smoking Day one.
Every witness and/or victim that Bob has spoken to claims that the driver of the Porsche whose brakes failed is the reason for the accident because he was driving so fast that it kicked off the chain of the events that followed. Bob tells him he's likely to be charged with reckless, careless or dangerous driving.
Mr Simpson's real wife isn't home and is likely to be in Margate or Milton Keynes according to family. A man has been charged with stealing the old ladies' handbags in the hospital (!) He's a known thief who the officers call 'Poison Dwarf'.
Regan has been found to owe money in lots of places and did not leave a forwarding address. He also owes the bank £10K too which gives the police more powers to track him down. Roy rings a former DS in the Robbery Squad who now works for the bank and asks him to do a naughty to track down Regan's account to see if there's an up to date address.
If you need more nightmare fodder, Reg is front and center watching a stripper in the pub much to the amusement of the others who stay at the bar or a nearby table instead. "Just look at Hollis' face... what a plonker he is." Viv and June sigh, leaving the pub after seeing enough bodies for one day. This is the Pig And Whistle pub used in the episode.
Dave - the former DS turned bank employee tells Roy that Regan had 150K go through his bank before he skipped out, leaving a 10K overdraft behind. He asks what the police's interest is and Roy tells him it's ringers. Dave suggests it's likely that he's using multiple names then because he'd burn through the ability to stay in one place quickly given the issues. He gives Roy a name and address, telling him it's the details from the only cheque Regan wrote on the account. The cheque went through someone else's account but he added his details on the back.
Ted goes to the address and talks to a man about Regan. He told him he wanted a couple of study wooden crates to send second-hand motor parts abroad so the man made them for £200. The name on the van that collected the crates was Galley Sidwick which is a Car Breakers yard. The owner made sure he took note in case the cheque bounced. Ted reports it back to Roy.
Sun Hill prepares to raid the car breaker yard the next morning. As they wait, Ted tells Roy about his night with Linda how he romanced her with a bottle of wine, a meal and a bit of Julio Iglesias and how it made her want him to make love to her over the table. "Very embarrassing," he adds after. "Can't go back to that restaurant again."
(If you look top left of the more recent Google Maps image you can see the Grenfell Tower ❤ .The site used for the car breakers could be Defreitas Motors on the left-hand side of the Google Maps pic as there was a sign shown in the episode that said it too)
Roy and Ted head into the porter cabin to find a group of men - and DS 'Tommy Burnside' playing poker. Roy calls him a bent bastard and finds that he's wearing a wire and that he is undercover. He tells Roy there's a big ringing operation working from the yard and 'Regan' is Mark Galley, a rally driver. He had been working on it for months to get them to trust him. Regan/Galley finances his rallying by creating and selling the ringers and is on-site boxing up the car Burnside was 'buying'. "You are a silly man!" Ted chastises him to this response from Burnside...🤣 Frank returns to the cabin afterwards to gather up all the money on the table, pocketing it.
Sun Hill manages to get inside and dodge being threatened with a dog, blowtorch, and multiple weapons to arrest Galley/Regan and others in his group. It does however include a violent chase over walls and fences, through tunnels, through holes in the floor and over a pile of tyres. June Is knocked senseless and Pete lays into one before Abe calls him off. There's a rather spectacular car crash too after Nick throws a trolley through the windscreen of a car that Galley had tried to escape in! Ted also has to be dragged back off Regan/Galley.
Burnside is in the incident room, trying to pull June. June isn't interested in the slightest, even when he offers her a "trip to paradise."(!!) Nick grasses Tom up for smoking in the toilets on his own non-smoking day!
Mrs Simpson attends the station at the end of the shift, having returned from staying overnight with family. Reg takes her towards the parade room where there others are recuperating with cans of beer after such a vicious heavy afternoon.
Although he keeps her outside the room she can hear all the laughter and joking inside. Bob has to switch to professional mode and take her through to the quiet office and tell her that her husband has passed away with the drunk men watching and laughing just the other side of the doorway, joking that she's Bob's bit on the side.

rambling under the cut im fine dw
me: i need to stop always being so deeply afraid of people hating me or annoyed with me. people are allowed to dislike me for whatever reason, people are allowed to be annoyed by me, people are allowed to feel whatever they feel towards me and theres nothing i can do to control their feelings, nor should i want to control their feelings. i should just allow myself to exist and whoever likes me likes me and whoever doesnt doesnt and thats fine. i have to stop being so worried its tearing me apart.
me five minutes later: gotta go back to my job in the worried about if people hate me mines
my paranoia really frustrates me and i know the source of a lot of this is from a lifetime of being abused and neglected and harrassed and it doesnt help that i know its not just my paranoia when it comes to my abuser- i know for a fact that he does in fact want me dead and regularly would stalk my old blog and either send me himself or have his friends send very specific threats with details only he would know. so its the kind of thing where its hard to dismiss the paranoia by saying its not grounded in reality because i know he very much does want to finish what he started.
but besides that it can be really easy for me to fall into obsessive spiraling when i try to calmly talk to myself about this, like i tell myself that i should stop worrying about if people hate me and should just focus on being myself and being kind to others and doing whatever i can to help people and learn about the world and the people in it and listen to other people and be compassionate while not tolerating bigotry, but when my brain simpilifies this by saying "we should just try to be a good person" it starts to do morality spiraling like ok what does it mean to be a good person?
i cant just say well im a good person/i want to be a good person and pat myself on the back and call it a day thats not how it works, just like how kindness is a choice and is one we must continue to choose every day. i dont want to hurt anyone but i also dont want to fall apart and make everything about me/victimize myself if i did somehow hurt someone or did something wrong. but then theres also the fact that ive been punished all my life for just existing and have been painfully forced into masking and trying to seem ""normal"" and punished even further when im unable to mask or when i need help or have a meltdown etc etc so its very difficult to tell myself that i need to just allow myself to exist and be myself because im used to 25 years of being punished for that yknow.
my mind is getting fuzzy now but being a person is so weird and difficult and every day i feel more like im some kind of creature whos trying and failing to seem human. in the end i just want everyone to be okay and safe and to live comfortably and to be able to thrive and be respected and supported but at the same time i never apply that same thinking to myself, i still internally agree with my abuser and all the adults/my peers who told me i deserved pain and to be mistreated and could never have anything good and could never want anything. im working hard on challenging that thinking but its hard. anyway thanks if you read all this im fine i promise i just need to ignore my brain spiraling and distraxt myself

The reason i cried that day and why it didn't stop .
I was on my way to pick up my brother, since my dad was busy so i offered, my mom wanted to visit her mother so i told her i will drive you there after i pick him up - two good things. I was doing good things, or at least i wanted to.
The next thing, an accident! A tractor hits the side of my car. Im shocked of course, i call my dad, im embarrassed, i try to hide it, im angry, i do nothing about it. - the car will take a week to fix , im told. Im frustrated. We get home, i decide to clean the stairs to do anything jist to get my mind off things. Im thankful for my dads support and sure things will be okay. I text my dad to ask what happened. My brother gets home with my car, he tells me they fixed it temporarily with a screw until they get the parts needed. Im frustrated even more because ibhave woork and i have to drive to uni and i dont know what im gonna do now and this is really not the right time, why me.
My dad calls me to explain the situation, he tells me they wont fix it until monday, and that i can drive to work with it in this state. I argue that it could be dangerous and that its okay, i can take a taxi until it's fixed. I fet yelled at for supposedly yelling and not speaking properly, i shut up after an "okay, you do what you think is good" because arguments and opinions are not allowed in this house.
I try to distract myself with a tv show and it works, until my dad gets home, he starts by yelling at me again and saying how he didn't like the way i spoke to him, i try to explain how i dont think driving to work would be the smartest idea and that it should be fixed asap even if it means me taking a taxi- i get yelled again because "do you see how you are yelling? Are you seeing yourself right now."
I shut up because i already feel dumb and hideous and every terrible feeling since this week has been hell already before all this shit and i have already been in so much mental and physical pain that i told no one about. My tears betray me. My parents stare at me as if im stupid. I shout "yes im crying "
"Why are you crying?"
" because i feel. Stupid, i have no idea what is going on and youre just yelling am i not allowed to cry"
"No, crying makes you weak, be strong. Why do you cry every time someone disagrees with you" (false i cry when he screams at me and i feel too weak to reply)
"I think i havent cried in front of any strangers, im allowed to cry at home, where else would i cry if not at home."
"Stop crying "
"Okay " i try and fail
My parents start talking about plans for tomorrow's lunch, im desperately craving a hug, soft words , qny type of comfort although i already know it wont come. Im the one who always comforts never the one being comforted. No matter the situation.
Dad turns to leave , i yell after him " at least dont go while youre angry at me"
"Im not angry, why would i be angry" he shouts again.
"Im just really frustrated and i know the accident is not my fault and i know i dont understand cars but id really like to understand "
Id also really like a hug but i think id pass out if i actually said these word out loud.
Dad leaves, mom acts as of nothing happened. I go to my room and cry , nobody checks on me, nobody asks, its ok. Im used to this but it still hurts. The next day my family acts as if nothing happened and at first its difficult but then i try to do the same. The third day im in pain, physical pain that is unrelated, so i refuse to go somewhere with me and i get yelled at because "we didnt always have cars, every time something happens to your car you treat us like its our fault" and "look at yourself in the mirror"
And im just so tired. Would it be too much to ask for someone who genuinely cares about me and will hug me when im sad without judging? I face so many tiring things daily things i really want to vent and speak about with someone but then i realise there is no one who would listen to me and genuinely care and will not end it with a lecture or cut to their own story and jist ignore me. I want to talk about my life but theres really no one to talk about t with.

O yeah Media Manufactured!
O yeah Media Manufactured! The day after this article was written, 183 people would lose their lives, Including 13 Americans. Did the intelligencer apologize for this article? Did Eric Levitz admit he was 100% wrong? Any idea how many are still left behind?
The Biden Administration told us that the Afghan Government would not fall, however the author plays it up as inevitable and America people should have known better? Remember kids we should always look for the bright spots; always be optimists when it comes to Democrat policies, give them the benefit of the doubt but remember Republicans are bad and pick apart every word they say.
Eric Levitz you seem to be ok with people “presenting editorial judgments as factual ones” when it comes to Trump. You even admit you did the same thing with Bush but it was ok because you could have made reasoned arguments supporting your biases? “Journalism” has been dead for years. Here is my “reasonable argument”, we needed to get out of Afghanistan but leaving hundreds behind, after promising them safety, and the Kabul terrorist attack, due to our troops withdrawing, is not a success.
Direct Quotes:
America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan has yet to cost our nation a single casualty. Evacuations of U.S. citizens and allies from Kabul’s airport are proceeding at a faster pace than the White House had promised, or than its critics had deemed possible.
On the streets of Kabul, “order and quiet” have replaced “rising crime and violence.” Meanwhile, the Taliban is negotiating with former Afghan president Hamid Karzai over the establishment of “an inclusive government acceptable to all Afghans.”
It could have done (and should now do) more to facilitate the mass resettlement of Afghan refugees. But as far as conclusions to multi-decade wars go, America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan is thus far proceeding with relatively little chaos and tragedy.
It has long been apparent that America’s exit from Afghanistan would be tantamount to the Taliban’s victory. U.S. intelligence officials may have been excessively optimistic about the Afghan government’s staying power, but even they thought the government in Kabul would collapse within two years of America’s retreat. Simply put, there is no proud way to lose a war to a cult of heroin-dealing child rapists (especially when your side in that war featured no small number of men who fit a similar description).
Before its collapse, the Afghan government had pressured the United States to limit its evacuation efforts, so as to avoid broadcasting the message that America deemed a Taliban victory inevitable.
Mainstream coverage of Kabul’s fall and its aftermath has been anything but circumspect. Attempts to weigh the benefits of America’s withdrawal against its costs have been rare; attempts to judge Biden’s execution of that withdrawal against rigorous counterfactuals have been rarer still.
This is the sort of commentary one expects from jingoists on right-wing radio, not high-ranking reporters at major networks.
At the same time, CNN’s chief foreign correspondent Clarissa Ward saw fit to present her own pessimistic hunches
The point is merely that he is presenting editorial judgments as factual ones.
Those views may bespeak the biases of a millennial progressive whose formative years were spent gawking at George W. Bush’s war crimes and reading Noam Chomsky’s lectures. I cannot always prevent my ideological commitments from blinkering my vision. But I can be transparent about those commitments, and test my biased intuitions against the rigors of reasoned argument.
One can critically report on concrete failings in the Biden administration’s withdrawal plans. But one cannot presume Biden’s responsibility for every negative consequence that follows from ending a misbegotten war and deserve the title journalist.
