Writer's tips: Mothers
There are more types of Mothers than just 'Sweet, Maternal, Doting ( ꈍᴗꈍ)' and 'Mean, Abusive, Evil (눈‸눈)'. Parenting is a spectrum and not every good or bad mom is the same.
If said mother is going to be killed in order to be used as backstory material for your Main Character, consider giving them a defining personality or real connection with their child. Even if they're going to die, they should at least feel alive before you axe them for the sake of a tragic backstory.
Pregnancy does not instantly turn a woman into a weak, helpless object that can barely stand on their own. Childbirth does not turn a woman into a perfect kind happy mother. Characters who become Mothers tend to end up losing most of their canon personality and become a stock mother character for their Future Main Character Child, consider the Character's actual personality when interacting with their own child, can help with making their bond more unique and even more heartbreaking when you murder them for backstory material. ; )

Moving to Bangalore? Top Things to Keep in Mind
Bangalore, the bustling tech capital of India, attracts professionals, students, and entrepreneurs from all over the country. While the city offers endless opportunities, adapting to its fast-paced lifestyle requires careful planning. Here are some key things to consider, especially if you’re exploring Colive rental accommodation options.
1. Find the Right Accommodation
Finding a place to stay in Bangalore can be overwhelming, but co-living spaces like Colive simplify the process. Colive provides fully furnished accommodations with modern amenities, making it ideal for those new to the city. Their strategically located properties near IT hubs and educational institutions save you commute time. You can also check Colive reviews to understand the experiences of current residents before booking.
2. Understand the Commute
Bangalore’s traffic is infamous. Choose an accommodation close to your workplace or college to avoid long hours on the road. Many Colive properties are located near public transport hubs, offering added convenience.
3. Weather and Wardrobe
Known for its pleasant climate, Bangalore doesn’t require extreme wardrobe changes. Keep light layers for cool evenings and a sturdy umbrella for unexpected rains.
4. Cost of Living
While Bangalore can be pricey, co-living spaces like Colive offer budget-friendly rental plans that include utilities and shared amenities like kitchens, gyms, and Wi-Fi. This helps you save without compromising on comfort.
5. Embrace Local Culture
The city is a melting pot of cultures. Be open to exploring local cuisines, learning basic Kannada phrases, and engaging in cultural festivals.
6. Community Living
Moving to a new city can feel isolating, but co-living fosters a sense of community. You can connect with like-minded individuals through events and shared spaces in Colive accommodations.
In conclusion, relocating to Bangalore is exciting but requires some preparation. With highly-rated co-living options like Colive, you can enjoy a hassle-free transition. Check online Colive reviews to make an informed decision and start your journey in Bangalore on the right note!

I love reading reader insert fics where the reader ended up with a secret kid with the romantic pairing and they meet years later. But in these reader inserts a lot of times he recognizes the kids is his based on how they look. But here’s the deal. I, the reader, am brown. My kid will have brown skin. They will have dark hair and dark eyes. The features of a lot of characters I read about would either be cancelled out with my genes or they’re traits that we already share so it wouldn’t make sense that they could recognize the kid as their through shared traits.
Also, the kids are always given the most generic white name… I don’t mind having to read y/k or y/d or y/s or whatever you have to come up with to make inclusion work.
Just, I guess, keep this in mind when writing reader inserts where the reader has kids.

You don't need to be "the best". Don't let your passions turn into a search for some perfection that doesn't exist. Create, share, enjoy.
At some point "fanfic can be as good as professional writing" became "fanfic should be as good as professional writing" and that's caused major damage to fandom spaces.

we were talking about equivocation (manipulating certain words to completely change an argument) in my critical thinking class and we were looking at these two headlines:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the left is a headline from CNN. the right is a headline from Fox News. both are aggressively biased towards isreal (as per usual for the mainstream american press that is profiting off of this war). i know we talk a lot a lot about bias in headlines and in content, but i feel like its incredibly important when something somewhat new happens.
while Fox is more transparent about it's bias, both headlines completely ignore that the majority of people dead are civilians. beyond that, this is classified as a terrorist attack, and is praised in american media.
anyway, things to think about.
